^ Too bad they didn't put him on Monday when Ana's there to see him instead of Leslie Jones, that way I wouldn't have to see him. I like Jones, but don't think I need to watch just for her. I've already seen her on several other shows the past week as it is. Her guest appearance on Jimmy Fallon was hilarious (no, I don't watch Fallon regularly).

Looking forward to Dolly, Chenoweth, and Mel B.

Dolly was lovely as always, and she overcame the technical difficulties very gracefully (missing part of Whoopi's question at the beginning and the camera being awkwardly stuck on her too long at the end). Otherwise, a mostly dull show, imo.

I want to try Dolly's cornbread & brownies...

So. They don't mention Lisa Marie's passing on Friday, but mention her in a throw away line when talking to Dolly?

Alrightythen.

Right!??!  The cynical part of me thinks they didn't mention it because none of them have any connection to her.  They all love to talk about how any of them knows some celeb who died.

I was thinking Whoopi more than anyone.  The others don't have the pull that she has.  I'm assuming Whoopi wasn't an Elvis fan.  If she was, there would have been a whole segment on Lisa Marie because Whoopi would have demanded it.

Oh, for God’s sake. This “breaking news” is worth preempting the show?

yeah,  had me worried it was some national emergency, but this is hardly is worthy of breaking into regular broadcasts

I adore Kristen Chenoweth, she's so witty! I know she's very petite, but her face looks so skeletal that I found it concerning.

Might be an unpopular opinion but I'm not a fan of KC. She might be the sweetest person ever but she just rubs me the wrong way.

she's probably a lovely person, but her speaking voice is like chalk on a blackboard to me, strange that her singing voice is beoved by many

Her singing voice is nothing like her speaking voice, she's a coloratura soprano.  Google Chenowith and Spoonful of Sugar.  She sang it for Julie Andrews when JA was included in the Kennedy Center Honors.  Julie was quite pleased with KC's performance.

eta:  Spoonful not Teaspoon!

Come sit at my table. Not a fan at all. Will she be telling us how tiny she is?

She started out talking about needing a booster seat at the table...LOL

Enjoyed Rachel on the show today.   I do wonder if the show is testing her for that seat, just in case.

The video of Joy's daughter imitating her yesterday was so cute.

Wow, I hadn't heard about that accident Chenoweth talked about before now? Good to have a day without Whoopi. I would've much rather Sara or Alyssa was off rather than Sunny though, too bad. The show was alright today, but what a dull two weeks The View has had.

I am (almost) glad it’s been dull. I catch what I can see on YouTube because AZ ABC is not currently being received in my area. (Possibly is weather related.) ABC was up over the weekend then down again on Monday. I have emailed their chief engineer twice, but no response.
Woe is me.

For the first time in years, I actually enjoyed today's table of women. There was more give & take and back & forth, making for a  very light hearted conversation. The best part was no pontificating by Whoopi. Everyone had a chance to speak equally, without Whoopi taking over, and telling everyone else that they are wrong. I wish this panel was permanent.

So the woman Shakira's husband cheated with ate Shakira's strawberry jam.  That means he brought her to the house he shared with Shakira. He deserves everything that happens to him.

This bothered me the entire segment.  He's not her husband.  They were never married.  From everything I've read over the years, he wanted to get married but she didn't.  So, he shouldn't have cheated but it's not like she was giving him full commitment either.  Also, they have two kids together and it was pretty irresponsible of the panel not to acknowledge that and how all this "revenge" Shakira is getting is ultimately just going to hurt them.

Married or not he still brought the other woman into their home.  I thought Big on SATC was wrong when he brought Carrie into the apartment he shared with his wife and I think this guy is wrong.

I actually had the opposite thought about this panel today, it made me think the unthinkable that the show might be more interesting if they'd hired Tara instead of Alyssa at this point, and I say that as someone who was not a Tara fan. Sometimes it feels like all the co-hosts are being told to walk on eggshells for Alyssa's sake which makes everything very boring--Alyssa herself is too busy trying to rehab her terrible reputation that she doesn't offer much in the way of disagreement most of the time--and Sara in particular has become very unlikable since Alyssa joined the show. It's funny, I thought perhaps that Ana and Sunny would get to be unbearable if Tara was hired (since the three are friends in real life, I thought they'd end up steamrolling the others) and the show would be better off with someone else, but it looks like that happened to Sara instead with Alyssa there.

I personally didn't like the Bachelorette co-host, although she at least gave a pretty good response on one of the topics today, I think it was the second segment when they were talking about the college course. It was the same one one where I was eyerolling over Sara's comments just because of how opposite it was to some things she's said on other topics the past two months.

Lol, it's funny how we see things differently.  I had the opposite reaction.  While watching today, I was hoping they'd hire her as the next co-host when there was an opening.  I thought she was delightful.

Well, I'm against stars from reality TV on principle usually, but even with that aside, I'd prefer someone like Juju Chang, Julia Haart, Deborah Roberts, etc. if they ever were to hire somebody else. I'm pretty sure the contracts are in place with the current panel through '24 or '25. Maybe they could hire Lindsay if Sara ever decides to go back to ABC infotainment fodder.

Rachel Lindsay is so pretty, like Disney Princess pretty.

Rachel was an excellent panelist and is lovely looking, seemingly a natural beauty.  But wouldn’t most of us look better if we had the perfect hair that wigs, extensions and hair pieces can offer; not referring specifically to Rachel, just an observation that most, if not all, the cohosts seem to sport faux tresses.  Not that there’s anything wrong with that;)

🤣

This reminds me of a phrase I heard on social media recently, "We're not ugly, we're just poor."

One of the myriad of reasons that many black women in entertainment wear wigs is that often hair stylists available to them on set don't know how to style black hair. This is a very complex issue but this link explains more. There was a documentary called Good Hair that explained this issue really well. I recommend it.
