How about Fergie?  The looks on the players' faces were hilarious.

What is it they say about "know your audience"?

Will someone clue me in WHY anyone would want to willingly be in the same hemisphere as him much less in any way patronize Mr. Brown after ALL his abuses of those who DID like him?

NOT that this remotely justified ANY kind of alleged abuse on his part towards these folks who deserve justice after what he evidently did but I just don't see any benefit in having anything to do with him- regardless of whether they like his music.

They were fine with him being an abuser as long as he didn’t abuse them, a.k.a. I never thought the leopards would eat MY face

There is now a second lawsuit by the arena security guard who attempted to help the men being beaten.

Katy Perry trampling over protected environments. Under investigation for filming a video in an ecologically protected area of the Balearic Islands.

Quote

Perry’s company WeOwnTheCity shot the video in a protected area of Ses Salines Natural Park on S’Espalmador, a Spanish isle of the Pityusic Islands. The park serves as a nesting area for migratory birds and supports crucial ecological and marine habitats.

A translation of the Catalan statement Tuesday confirms the government isn’t pursuing this case as a “crime against the environment,” but as an assessment of how thoroughly Perry and her company may have infringed on the local laws aimed to prevent such damage...

While the video for “Lifetimes” shows only Perry gallivanting around the beaches of S’Espalmador, the effort naturally required a whole host of crew members to step foot in the protected area, too.

Eons ago, Mrs. Stone put, on Flickr, a photograph she took of an art piece she (Mrs. Stone) created, and Ms. Perry put it on her own web page without credit. (Mrs. Stone would have been happy with simply a credit.)

She'll be amused when I tell her the Balearic Islands story.

I was about to say "thought he was one of the good ones".  Then I remembered what caused the end of his first marriage.

I looked it up, and it was infidelity.  So, apparently, the "nicest man in rock" is nice to everyone except his wives.

Sigh.  In the era where one false move gets you on the train to Cancelville it seems like Dave is getting ahead of the story here and trying to cover his ass.

The Foos just wrapped up a major tour and it's unlikely this will affect future tours and ticket sales. That said Dave has embraced his Golden Boy status for many years.  His charity work is laudable but in the end this is a really shitty thing to make his family go through.

Justin Timberlake set to appear in person for hearing in drunk-driving case.

Reports suggest star, who was arrested in June and charged with driving while intoxicated, has brokered plea deal.

Pretty much what I expected, given that it's his first offense, if I remember correctly.  In my state, we have something called "probation before judgment" which most first-timers get.  It basically wipes out the guilty plea once the defendant has completed probation and any drug/alcohol treatment ordered.

OK I'm keeping it vague and letting others draw their own conclusions but.. .I hope Janet Jackson has learned a lesson re making observations based on others' claims instead of investigating said claims' validity before commenting.

While she never should've said it in the first place because it was obvious she had no idea whether it was true or not; at least she got educated and fairly quickly stepped forward to acknowledge her error and urge others not to repeat rumors without knowing the facts.

Apparently the "apology" was issued by someone who longer works for Janet Jackson and is not authorized to speak on her behalf.  So no apology for spreading misinformation.

So I guess we are supposed to conclude Janet Jackson either doesn't think it was misinformation or she doesn't care.  Either way she doesn't look good.

The most telling part for me is that it exposes the types of sources she gets her information from. There have been a few articles saying that the misinformation is probably coming from her older brother and manager, Randy, who is a huge conspiracy theorist and now has complete control over Janet.

That guy is saying that he was fired for issuing the apology. Sounds like her brother is going to drive what’s left of her career off a cliff.

It's too bad that Miss Jackson. seems to have forgotten the lessons of her song 'Control'.

OK, I don't claim to have firsthand info about this. However, IF it turned out that Miss Jackson got pressured to hire Mr. Randy Jackson by Mrs. Katherine Jackson and /or other family members ['so what if he has that conviction for domestic violence. He's your BROTHER and that that so-and-so was lying and/or deserved it. You need to stick with family no matter how awful they've been or you're a disloyal daughter and bad person!'], it wouldn't come as a total surprise to me.

However this chain of events that led to her hiring him as her manager came about, too bad that at this point that she's prioritizing sticking with Mr. Jackson to the point of letting him shoot her career in the foot and ridding who actually would have wanted to preserve the benefit of the doubt that she was open minded enough to consider wanting to rethink her stance re spreading misinformation.

I hope she wakes up and smells the dysfunction before too long!

Considering her ongoing insistence that Michael wasn't a child molesting monster; claiming Randy didn't assault his partner is not the worst lie Janet Jackson has believed.

Granted.

However, one may ponder what it is Miss Jackson  has come to sincerely believe- and what she has decided to have become  willfully ignorant.

The old saying of 'the wife was the last to know' actually often has turned out to have been the case of 'the wife was the last who wanted to know'.

FWIW, I haven't expected candor or transparency from her in decades.

I was on another site where Dave and The Foo Fighters were being discussed. Mostly men and a few women were going with that "we all make mistakes" argument. Then someone brought up things that went on in the early 2000's.

Their guitarist was supporting a known HIV/AIDS denialist and her organization. That eventually lead to them all getting involved, using their website to promote said organization for years and playing at a benefit. The YT video I'm sharing thoroughly explains it all. I had no idea about any of this before today. Even though these events happened over 20yrs ago, the fact that they happened at all is just.....

Janet, the one Jackson whose career was not dependent on MIchael and was indepent of him is now stuck taking on his role, supporting the rest of the family because they are too lazy to get jobs themselves AND give up the celebrity lifestyle.

Notice you don't hear from the sister Ruby in all this.   She married a man who went into real estate and got the hell out of this messy family.

I don't know what he's doing now, but Jermaine had a successful career.  I still have his Let's Get Serious album.

The key word is ' had a successful career'.

He hasn't released any new recordings since 2012 as per wiki. .. and I wouldn't stand on one foot waiting for him to be declared the winner of the Stable Mabel prize!

My point was that, like Janet, he had a successful career, independent of Michael.  Also, in your wiki reading, you probably saw that he collaborated with other successful artists.

Stable Mabel?  Who dat?

Whoever that individual may be , it's someone that none of the above-mentioned Jacksons (with the possible exception of the eldest daughter Maureen [AKA Rebbie] appear to consider emulating.
