Posting in the middle of the show because I don’t care if Korey and Jeremy’s date was a prank. They’re the cutest couple out there and I will be so disappointed if there’s no option to vote for them.

Alana and Charlie are really sweet together. Of all the couples, they seem the most genuine with each other. I wish we could have seen more of them together over the past week. They have almost no chance of winning, but I hope they try to see each other once it’s over. I guess it depends on if they’d have to be long distance. They’re really too new to make that work.

I am not buying this “great affection” Olivia and Korey have developed. Maybe because I find Olivia the most annoying person on here since Cash left. I get more genuine vibes from Jeremy and Korey as a couple. And I think I heard Bailey squealing tonight. I’ll be glad when this is over just to not have to listen to that

I'm not sure what to think about Kyra and Will but I hate how the mean girls have treated her. At this point I think they are the only couple I would like to see win, but don’t really care who does as long as it’s not Olivia and Korey.

Will gives me the skeezies.  The fact is, he did downplay what happened on Casa Amor. Corey may not think so, but some of the other guys that are now gone, did act like they knew.  Will blames Flo and puts it all on her, while he did freely participate.  It annoys me how defensive he gets when the other women discuss it with him.  He will not fully commit to Kyra, and he almost shows her too much PDA and attention, overcompensating , always smooching on her.   'we dunt have to put labels on tings, you kno?" lol

If the other girls sense his BS, I am glad they are calling him out.  I think he is in it for the money, not sure he has a real job in real life.

He did ultimately “put a label in it” and ask her to be his girlfriend. But, I agree with you that I’m not convinced it’s sincere and he knew he had to “make it official” to have the best chance at the money. None of the other couples, “put a label on it,” right? I was surprised that Korey and Olivia were talking about traveling together—but not exactly “settling down together.” I expected to at least hear someone talk about potentially moving states. But I realize I don’t know where any of these people live—aside from learning that Will and Kyra are both in LA.

You can definitely tell who the show thinks will win based on the money spent on these dates! A yacht and a helicopter!!!

That made me laugh! The entertainers were lovely, but Charlie/Alana and Jeremy/Bailey's dates screamed high school after prom by comparison.

Korey and Jeremy's date was hilarious. Charlie was fun too during it. Show, show us more of that!

Jeremy has grown on me too between his porn star comment and his comment about America, I thought you finally liked me.

Especially given that just days ago (on another elaborate date and perfect opportunity), Will droned on about how he didn't want to label anything.

Korey/Jeremy had the most chemistry out of anyone, lol. Even if Korey's obsession with Jeremy is odd, given Jeremy has stolen his girl *multiple* times! Talk about masochism.

I'm at peace with Jeremy probably winning? Who have I become? He has more personality than I gave him credit for and Bailey is nice. Agreed that based on twitter, it's between them and Korey/Olivia, although many think they're forced.

I wonder how much of the distrust about Will comes down to a language barrier. As was rightfully pointed out to me, Will didn’t actually cheat on Kyra with Flora. He made out with Flora a few times but ultimately chose Kyra because he liked Kyra more.  The romantic in me wishes he didn’t explore his options at Casa, but he didn’t really do anything wrong there. Bottom line, I think Kyra and Will are into each other, and they will likely last longer than any other couple on the show, but they won’t win because he made out with Flora and because the other girls, particularly Olivia, have done a great job painting Will as the villain to increase their own chances of winning.

I’m just bitter that Olivia and Korey will likely win because I think they are lying their asses off about their relationship. Unfortunately, the show clearly wants them to win too as evidenced by the clips of other islanders talking about how “genuine” their connection is. For some reason, the producers have decided to tank Will and Kyra and go all in on Olivia and Korey. I assume that’s because the producers noted how much the fans had turned on Will after Casa, so they want to give the fans what they want, a happy ending for Olivia and Korey.

My last hope is that Jeremy and Bailey win because they do seem equally attracted to each other and self-aware enough to know that they will likely never see each other again. I’d take them as the winners over Olivia an Korey because I don’t feel like they’re trying to sell me a bullshit story of their “love.”

I think the results are going to be really interesting because a lot of people will vote for Jeremy/Korey.  So will those votes be thrown out because they're not an "official" couple?

You can't "write in" votes haha, I wish! The only options are sadly official couples. That would be hilarious if they won via write-in.

At least Jeremy and Bailey got sushi. That was the only actual meal we’ve ever seen on a date aside from when the guys were forced to cook for the 3 new girls.  Charlie and Alana got the bargain date.

Yes, the show clearly spent more money on Olivia/Korey and Will/Kyra, but I actually thought the Jeremy/Bailey and Charlie/Alana dates were more romantic, even if they were cheaper.  And Jeremy and Bailey had me fanning myself when they were in that pool.

I looked at twitter because I am a masochist, and if it's representative of the voting, then Jeremy and Bailey are winning in a landslide. A couple of days ago it was more evenly split between Olivia/Korey and Jeremy/Bailey, but now it's running almost entirely toward J/B. People are mad at Olivia for voting for Trina's elimination, so they're voting J/B as a fuck you to Olivia specifically and to the others more generally for saving Jeremy so many times.

It's funny how they always do that. You'd think they'd divide up the date budget equally, but every year, the frontrunners get the helicopter and catamaran and the other two get the showroom at Pier One Imports. But like others have said, I thought the cheap dates were nicer/more romantic this year, but maybe it's just because I like those two couples more. And lol at Korey, who thinks he and Olivia will go on a helicopter ride again and parachute out. That's not a date; that's a suicide pact.

Korey and Jeremy's TH was so funny, especially when Korey said he was "more psyched about their date than ..." and Jeremy burst out laughing. I think Korey was about to say, "than my date with Olivia," and Jeremy knew it, but Korey caught himself in time and said more than the dates making dinner for the new girls. There should be a spinoff reality show where these two are roommates.

I really love Charlie and his quiet ways. When he was getting ready and said, "I hope there's dancing," he was just the sweetest. And then they did dance with the hula dancers in the background and it was like, I don't know, couple goals or something. Really lovely scene.

I'd watch that!  😁

Seriously, that sounds like an MTV show for a season or two.

I am not invested in any of the couples to win because I like them all.  I don't know whether any of them are in it for the long haul after the show or for the grand prize money.  It's impossible for any of the couples to truly know each other just from their experiences on the show.  The show may offer a foundation for the relationships, but the true acid test is in the outside world, with stresses such as careers and jobs , distance and problems that we all face.

I like Olivia and Korey as a couple, and I know it's unpopular, but I like Olivia a lot.  I thinks she's really pretty and I don't begrudge her for not finding a match with Korey the first day.

Also, another unpopular opinion, but I really like Jeremy too.  A very funny guy with a good sense of humor and he seems like he's fun to be around.  And he's really nice to look at.  Very handsome, in my opinion.

I think Alana is as pretty as she is nice, and Charlie seems to be coming out of his shell.  I thought he was really funny during Korey and Jeremy's fake date and it was sweet he wanted to dance at the luau.  I like them as a couple.

The only couple I don't want to see win is Will and Kyra.  Simply because they were always off by themselves doing their own thing, and not really part of the experience.  I don't think any newcomer ever picked Kyra for a date.  She's a cute girl, but everyone knew she was 100% unavailable.  It made them a very boring couple and I found it hard to build any fondness for them because of it.  My heart aches for Kyra's father who has some serious reservations about Will's intentions.  It must be a horribly helpless feeling for him.

In the end, I wish them all well.

I won't vote as I don't care much about any of the OG. I do love though how this show seems to breed what I'd call 'Vendetta Voting' it's all 'Oh you wronged this person and I'm going to get you back.' This is why I'd love for Charlie/Elena to win but they have Cash out there talking shit about them so people won't vote for Charlie now. Petty show, petty voting I guess...

I don’t know if anybody else has watched UK LI (old seasons)? There have been other couples from the beginning (thinking of Nathan and Cara), who were day 1 couples, and although they were never “available” really, they maybe did go on other dates and hung out with others besides just the two of them. I think @DoYouLikeMutton made a valid point - Kyra and Will haven’t been seen really doing anything besides being with each other. So all knowledge is based on that one thing and that relationship defines them completely.

Olivia has some old posts on SM that I can’t really get behind and if they really represent her thinking, she is faking it so hard with Korey.

I voted for Charlie and Alana, basically knowing my vote was pointless.

Here's a reddit thread that posted a link to Olivia's tiktok along with links to some of the tiktoks she's liked recently, and it's apparently a lot of racist and homophobic stuff. Anti-Juneteenth, anti-BLM, anti-LGBTQ, according to the comments, but I try not to watch stuff that makes me despair for humanity so I didn't watch them personally. But yeah, she's faking it with Korey. I can't say I'm surprised. She never showed the slightest bit of interest in Javonny, and her face when Korey chose her last time before Andre could was not a happy one. She latched onto him solely so she could stay in the villa, and then found herself stuck with him after someone she preferred came in.

I also saw some random blog post that said Cash unfollowed her a couple of days ago after her tiktok came to light and then refollowed her, but no idea if that's accurate.

Tell me more please. I’ve seen the picture of Shannon in a MAGA hat, so now I’m curious what Olivia posted in the past.

ETA: Nevermind. The person above me answered my question as I was writing it. I went and watched some of the TikTok videos Olivia liked in the past, and holy hell is she not someone I would ever want to know. The videos she likes are just awful. If she wins, I will be so mad now that I know who she is beyond just being a fake wannabe famewhore. Why are producers casting these type of people anyway?

If Jeremy and Bailey Will, I will be content. This season was a dumpster fire. I like my Love Island to have at least two couples who seem to genuinely like each other equally, and if at least one couple has fallen madly in love, that’s even better. Will and Kyra come closest now that Shannon and Josh are long gone, but I don’t see them as equally invested in each other like season 1 winners Zac and Elizabeth. Zac and Elizabeth were adorable, and even though they eventually broke up, their feelings for each other at the time were real.

I get that all the islanders are young, dumb, Instagram famewhores, but every once in awhile, true feelings develop and it’s cute to watch. This season, I expected Will and Kyra to be that couple, but he blew it at Casa, and I hope Kyra realizes someday that he screwed her out of her share of the prize with his late night make out sessions with Flora.

I agree with that.  I feel the problem with this season was the idea that when it came to voting, the OG cast members kept their buddies around, when they were not part of true couples. Olivia, Jeremy should have been kicked off early on.  That stopped other possible late comers to the show, in forming better relationships.  A couple like Wes/Aimee never got a chance because of people like Olivia, Corey, Jeremy hanging on past their time.   The Cash/Cinco mess also went on too long.

I'd rather have the bottom two couples win than what happened. I'm happy Will didn't win.  No, Jeremy and Korey 4eva!

I actually think there's more of a chance of the Alana/Charlie working outside of the villa than the others. You could see quick glimpses of Charlie being fun and opening up in the montages. I wish we had seen more of those moments between all the couples.

Olivia is definitely going to break Korey's heart and I wish he had kept the money. I wonder what her castmates think of those disgusting social media posts.

I wish that Charlie and Alana or maybe Bailey and Tarzan had won. They seemed the most genuine couples.

While I still think that Korey and Olivia's romance was fake, I'm glad that Will and Kyra didn't win. In the beginning Will and Kyra were my favorite couple. I still like Kyra, but I despise Will.

I don't care who you are, or what your situation is, if you spend the entirety of Casa Amor with your lips glued to another person named Flo you don't love the person you're with and you don't deserve to win.

I never bought into Will's apologies, given that they only occurred after he was pressured into it. I don't believe he feels he did anything wrong at Casa Amor. He only agreed to become Kyra's boyfriend at the eleventh hour, when the money was in sight and even then his mastery of the English language was good enough that he avoided using  absolute terminology, giving himself an out later on.

If I saw a man behave like that at a bachelor's party I would advise his bride to dump him.

I'm so glad this season is over, hopefully next year is better.

What an awful season. Korey and Olivia? Granted I was on vacation last week and missed those episodes but they have zero chemistry. The only good thing about them winning is it is a slap in the face to Will and Kyra.

The people who run this show have a year to make it better, a lot better.

Edited to add: just heard about Olivia's social media views. What a complete POS.

I thought Charlie and Alana had the best vibes, but they were low key. And sadly Charlie was never going to win because of the Cash thing, which is sad because she doesn’t have negative feelings towards him. It’s frustrating that others do.

Out of everybody, Bailey had the best SM posts that I saw - protesting for equality, social justice etc.

I bet Olivia starts deleting all of those old posts so she can get sponsors, but I wish people would not forgive nor forget. Cash seemingly did both for Olivia. The MAGA moms voted en masse and won them the race, plus people who genuinely like Korey.

Will’s declaration of “boyfriendship” was done specifically to get votes, I believe. He didn’t do it earlier because he didn’t want to (still don’t think he wanted to now), and because viewers can have a short memory so he wanted it to be the most impactful, vote-wise. That was all he ever wanted. (Well that and maybe getting some hormonal action.)

People are saying on Twitter they won’t watch next season. I will be watching. Summer is notoriously slow for new tv content; I generally enjoy the show. However, the producers really need to step out of allowing the viewers to have say when they vote. I do believe that it specifically caused such a shitshow of a season this time.

Olivia deleted her Tik Tok account a few hours ago and is scrubbing her other accounts. Since it didn’t make it to mainstream media during the show I doubt it will even come up. I don’t understand it. Other contestants on other reality shows have liked a couple posts and been blasted by viewers and made into a big deal. I read about Olivia here and on Reddit but media outlets aren’t picking it up or don’t care.

  • Love 5

This season had promise at the start but gone on to be the worst one out of three, despite appearing to have a bigger budget. Season 2 contestants were sadly on a hotel rooftop but they delivered more fun and drama, if you ask me.

I know people dislike Shannon but I thought she's good for drama/TV. At the very least, someone that people would "love to hate" as a character on a TV show. Olivia as the "main lead" in the villa was boring and annoying at the same time. At least the whole thing is over now. I hope they do better casting next season and produce better storylines. The producers didn't do much to stir the drama this season. And some of the drama dragged on for too long (like the Cinco love triangle) that it lost the entertainment factor.

Currently watching the LI UK and I have to say it's a great season (so far) with great characters. The producers over there also work overtime to create drama and mix things up. Just a bunch of pretty people chilling on a holiday (like Jeremy) is not enough to interest me.

I wish Korey had kept the money for himself. He's such a good, genuine person. Jeremy's love for him also shone through, lol.

I take back my dislike of Charlie/Alana. Though I personally find Charlie to be a snoozefest, they seem like a super normal, down-to-earth couple without much ego or self-absorption. They have the best chance of making it outside.

Bailey is a lovely person! I doubt Jeremy will want to do long distance, but he was very sweet to her.

It's very ironic that last season was more entertaining on a hotel rooftop than this season in Hawaii. The personalities that make it to the end really make or break a season. I'm still not over Javonny.

Hope they let the viewer votes actually count next season! Leaving every decision up to the cast ruined the show.

I always thought Olivia was condescending towards other people, thinking she was better and wiser than everyone else (she certainly looked older).  I will grudgingly hand it to her though because she played Cash, dumbass Trina and Korey (I believe she knew he was the more popular half of the pairing) so that she was able to get her hands on her share of the money.

The highlights this season for me were Jeremy/Bailey, Jeremy/Korey, and Charlie/Alana.  I liked Will/Kyra earlier but they effed up their chances with the Flo mess that went on too long.  Otherwise, this season wasn't as entertaining as the previous two.  Hopefully, next season will be better.

I hate that Olivia and Corey won, and not just because Olivia’s social media posts. They have zero chemistry. They’re just friends who said all the right things to win. I doubt they will see each other outside of other random Love Island cast gatherings.

In contrast, I do think Will and Kyra will continue to date, and if Bailey and Jeremey lived as close together as Charlie and Alana seemingly do, I think they would also go on a few dates back on the mainland. If Bailey ever takes a trip to New York, I’m sure she’d stop by Jeremy’s place for some off camera fun. Realistically though, they’re a cute summer fling only. Still, I’d love it if they proved me wrong because they’re a beautiful couple who make the most gorgeous babies.

Of course, as always, only time will tell. My rule is that if a couple lasts three months or longer off the show, then they were likely genuine on the show. They don’t have to get married and live happily after, but they at least have to put in some effort to continue seeing each other for awhile off the show for me to believe they had a real connection on the show.

Nope. Sorry. We’re not going to excuse racism as “having different beliefs.” We’ve put up with that shit for far too long. Top that off with her dating a black man, then, yes, that would absolutely alter my perception of whether or not they’re compatible.

That being said, I didn’t actually view the TikToks in question. I don’t want to give these racists more “views” and potentially have them make money off of it. So i assume that if people are saying they’re racist, then they’re racist. I kind of wish this did make it to the media so then there would be quotes to read—not just links and give these assholes more views.

ETA: Fallacy and I were posting at the same time. And homophobic and transphobic, too?! Yeah, I’m glad Korey won, and he was who really got my vote. I’d been rooting for him ever since Cashay turned annoying and acted like the Queen Bee. Korey just always stayed true to himself—a sweet, kind person.

Not agreeing with BLM does not make one racist. I did not see the tweets either. But if its just because she doesn't like BLM , she isn't a bigot.  I feel that anyone who doesn't praise BLM or love Juneteenth is touted as a racist. And that just isn't so. If she said legit bad stuff against people, well that is a different story. But I'm tired of anyone being automatically a bigot if they aren't praising the new trendy thing of the day. I don't like the organization BLM, I think it's a hate group, designed to divide us as people even more.

It’s not just that she doesn’t like BLM. She favorited a series of videos on TikTok with racist, homophobic, and transphobic messaging, and yes, I watched five of the videos in question. They were deeply offensive, and there were more on her page than those five. Unfortunately, you can no longer view any of these videos because Olivia has now scrubbed her TikTok. Clearly someone explained to her why those videos are a problem, so she deleted all evidence of them. As a result, I can’t present you with the evidence to prove that she is a bigot, so you can think she’s not if you’d like. Regardless, I’m sure we will all forget about Olivia in about a week.
