I’m sad I missed the live chat tonight! 

Stan/Lisa: My eyes are still bleeding from Stan’s exercise bike hip thrusts 😧 🤢

Doug/Rachel: They’re just going to fuck that kid up more when they break up and he loses Rachel, who seems to sadly be the most stable person that’s ever been in his life. This is just too sad to snark on. 

Anissa/Jeff: Luckily I have no issues making fun of these dumbasses. I’m just horrified/fascinated by this dude’s teeth. Are his bottom teeth completely missing on the one side or are they just so crooked you can only see a few? 

Courtney/Josh: To be fair, it’s probably hard to have sex with all those dogs looking at you. Seriously, how many dogs are in that house?

I have a glimmer of optimism.  Many people (including myself) grew up in horrendous circumstances.  Doug has been introduced to a more normal life (thanks to Rachel), and his non-custodial aunt seems to be less trashy than the rest of the family.  Hopefully, knowing "normal" people will give him hope and focus.

Also, he's at an age where his preferences may be taken into account if Child Welfare gets involved.  Not to mention the video proof of just how emotionally damaging his current lifestyle (with the trashy aunt) is.

I hope he can hold on until the cavalry arrives, or until he turns 18.

I am horrified that this child's abuse is being used for "entertainment" purposes.  SOMEONE on the production crew needs to call Child Welfare.

Well, now we know why Lisa covers her 'hairline' with a headband for the talking head/formal shots. It looks like she scalped a Yeti. Letting Stan see that horrendous sewn-in mess at her part just makes it clear how little she cares about what he thinks, or maybe just makes it clear that she knows damn well he isn't looking above her neck. Also, his seduction technique involves dinner served at the kitchen table in broad daylight- seriously, the multi-millionaire doesn't have a dining room? The tchotchkes scattered all over the kitchen must be just as his dead wife left them, too. The sex dungeon isn't very atmospheric, either; he could at least have painted the walls black or something.

I'd feel much sorrier for Pickle Girl and Daonte if I didn't know they're both repeating past mistakes. 

Nicole, Sr., is quickly edging out our silicone angel Lacey as the gal we love to hate, no? I'm crossing my fingers that she ends up still flat-chested.

Hopefully Jeff will be satisfied with dentures, because no way is he or Anissa going to ever afford implants. I didn't understand all the drama about him having an adult son- he just found out, and it's not like he has to pay child support at this point. Why would that be a deal breaker for Ms. 'I've Waited 11 Years to Marry a Toothless Convict Who I'll Be Supporting for the Rest of My Life (Or as Long as he Sticks Around)'? Anissa has enormous ears, I just noticed. 

All the mugging Rachel is doing while having her confrontation with Doug makes me feel like this is staged (or she doesn't take it seriously for some reason). She's another one I can't feel much pity for, due to her history. But, yeah- poor Dougie.

I kind of like Ray: he loves his family, and he's at least trying to pay Brittney back with the sex she wants (unlike Pickle and Josh). He's quite handsome, too; maybe Granny can find him a nice girl at church?

I was so proud of Daonte for saying he was going to turn her phone off and seemingly peacing out of that situation. But, since this is a show and we have more episodes, I'm assuming that he doesn't. 

I can't hate on Pickle for having some confidence in her sexuality since she clearly has issues in so many other areas of her mental health. But she worked in the prison system! This dude has been in prison since he was an adult and was in solitary for I don't know how long, of course he has issues with intimacy! 

Doug would be entertaining to me if his son wasn't fighting both nature and nurture not to be a future spree killer. He is delusional over his value in Rachel's life. I thought she spoke very reasonably to him about Dougie Jr and going to counseling to have more communication tools and his weird, said-a-million-times-in-prison story about tricking all the psychiatrists who had seen him was hilarious. He is a career felon, he will be back in jail soon enough, his perceived locus of control is wildly distorted.

And Jeff? Man, I dig this guy. I'm putting those goals on my vision board too! He's the most honest criminal I'd never trust to be in my house! Live your dream, my friend!

josh used pickle girl as something to pass the time in prison, and is using their marriage (one where neither were present for the nuptials) in order to have a “caregiver” who feeds and houses him. he’s another one of courtney’s dogs, basically. i bet the big reason josh doesn’t want to have sex with her (besides her 24/7 demands and/or sobbing) is that he’s trying to stay as loyal as possible to his prison husband

More than anything I've ever seen on LAL, this upsets me. I can't get the image out of my head of Dougie tightly clinging to Rachel and sobbing after being verbally attacked by his 'father'. It's one thing for adults to harass, cheat, abuse, and manipulate each other. But a 12-year old child shouldn't be exploited for the sake of a TV show.

Zakk looked stoned in his talking head.  He had the droopy eyes of someone who had been baking on the couch, waiting for Nicolle to call.  He's the kind of guy who does this often enough he'll tell you he drives just fine while stoned out of his mind.

Anyone else think Muskrat Stan is a lush?  After declaring the "champagne" undrinkable, he was happy to start glugging it down.

I like how Nichole had to answer to the council of lesbians for her behavior.  I have to respect her mom for calling her out.  It's hard to have respect for Daonte at this point.  It couldn't be more obvious what she's doing.  (sorry, I messed up the names.  I don't have any problems with Britney and Ray.  They seem fairly well-adjusted for this show).

Britney is with Ray.  Overseen by Ray's grandmother who does not suffer fools kindly, and when she looks at Britney she sees a fool. Surprisingly it's not the eternally askew wig on Britney's head that clued her in. 

Nicolle is with Daonte. Nicolle's mother hooked up with her a female partner while Nicolle was in prison.  Nicolle is the one who lurvs Daonte so much that she has never had sex with him but did do the nasty with her ex.  She had to report to the "council of lesbians" about her skankalicious behavior.

I mean revulsion is a strong feeling, so technically Nichole wasn't lying.  

I'm unclear about why Daonte was hauling around the gifts he gave her in his trunk.  

Daonte knew she was using him and he knew he was trying to buy her.  I don't think its any great mystery that, when he got mad at her, he immediately demanded his stuff back (not this episode, but the last episode when she found her namesake in a cloth bag under the bed).

I can't believe Zakk let himself get involved in this mess, is the sex worth it to get entangled in this disaster?
