Lindsay, on Cloud nine with Stravy, decides it’s time to take her relationship to the next level and make her ring size known. Carl throws a Derby-themed party, complete with a housemates horse race. And just when Hannah thinks she’s finally back in the good graces of the group, she finds herself in the hot seat yet again, and for a familiar problem...her relationship.

Aired 4/15/2021

This is my first ( and likely my last) season with this show so I have to ask, is the costume party indigenous to this group or is something that 30+ people are all doing?  Also, why is Hannah such a skank?  And apparently the breakout star of this show? Just asking.

Lindsay’s obsession with a ring and not what the ring signifies sums up why that relationship is doomed to fail again. I am not sure why Stravy came crawling back and think his judgement is way off but here he is telling her he wants to marry her and have kids and her response is “you don’t even know my ring size.” Okay. Luke is a nightmare in his own right but I thought he gave her some pretty sound advice and caution when she came asking for his ring sizer.

Also, at the beach Amanda said like eleven times when she was expressing her thoughts about Kyle and the wedding.

Is it weird to say that I think it is probably a bad idea for Amanda to marry Kyle but I also think they are pretty well suited to each other?

Unfortunately, no.  All disfunctional and toxic relationships are like that.  They become each other's enabler.  They can only be as shitty as they are with the other person.

Lindsey is officially batshit crazy for even thinking about marrying Stravy. Neither of them seem that much into the other person and they fight way too much for only being 1 yr into a relationship. And I get so annoyed when she brings up how HE needs to do things for her in the relationship, like why is it all on him?

I don't even know what to say after this episode.

It probably is very awkward walking into the house, but Robert seems to be doing fine.  What is the problem with Des?  Hannah says it's because he knows all the stuff that was said to her.  Most men wouldn't let that impact when meeting others.  At least most men that aren't clearly drama and childish.

Hannah does not deserve Paige as a friend.  Hannah just isn't a good person.  What kind of person lies about a DM saying people hooked up and then sits back and watches the mess that unfolds as a result.  I get this is a reality show, but it just feels slimy with Hannah.

Does anyone know if they are filming this summer?   I hope they are, but also hope they are not.  Dammit bravo.

At least we all know what will be served at Lindsey’s breakup dinner.

Helloooo fish & chips.....

Or it could be a sandwich.........I totally just pictured Stravy finally making her a damn sandwich and then smothering it in her face like a cake.

Des is kind of an enigma to me. He's a reasonably attractive guy, seems to have positive cashflow with a nice postwar apartment and a nice car. What is he doing with Hannah? Is this for real? Hannah and Des together are gross because Hannah is gross, but who is driving the grossness, Hannah, or Hannah + Des by association? Okay he told some inappropriate jokes at the dinner table and in the hot tub. I'll definitely fault him for that. Is that all part of his schtick? Something was going on that I can't quite put my finger on. He definitely wasn't comfortable being there. I can't blame him for taking a time out for basement pizza if he decided he wasn't feeling right in the house after being there for a day. ETA: I wonder if he was embarrassed because he followed Hannah's lead and DESecrated the entire house and later decided it wasn't funny. It's just so weird but something else was going on.

I loved Luke trying to keep a straight face during the 1:1 with Hannah at the beach where she said he had pretty much been her boyfriend last summer and was like an ex. I wonder how many takes they had to do for that scene 😄

Ok, so I'm not the only one that noticed his face did change a bit when she said that. I thought I imagined it!

I also notice Luke's Minnesota accent really comes out sometimes and other times not. Same with Des, sometimes he sounds like Ore-land, sometimes he sounds like Queens.

Lindsay and Stravy actually gross me out more than Hannah and Des, if that's possible.

Now that you mention it, they are pretty gross too (who could forget last week's episode period sex). 😖🤮

I think Hannah really wanted to create a “Luke is jealous of Dez because he’s secretly into Hannah after all” story and was pissed that no one played along. But everyone’s compliant that Dez wasn’t spending more time with the gang was a little odd. He seemed to spend time with everyone. And did anyone want to spend more time with Dez? I wouldn’t. He’s gross.

That appears to be Hannah's M.O., she gets angry & argumentative when anyone disagrees with her version of reality. Thinking back to last season, she was the one going back & forth trying to drum up drama between Lindsey & Amanda. I think Lindsey quickly realized how toxic Hannah is and distanced herself.  I wish Amanda would do the same. Were it not for Paige, she likely would've already. No idea how/why Paige puts up with Hannah. Mark my words, that friendship will not end well.

As for Des, I think the roommates were using the "i didn't really get a chance to know him" so they wouldn't have to say what they really think, that's he's a an odd creepy dude who came in with a huge chip on his shoulder. Well, except for Luke who actually said it. I think many of them also question his motives. To me he screams clout chaser/starfucker. I guarantee that Hannah's not the first quasi-celeb Des has DM'd.

I did not think Danielle could be any more boring this season and then her equally boring boyfriend showed up and somehow multiplied the boredom. She seems like a fairly normal person with an actual job which makes for a lousy reality TV persona.

That’s an excellent point, thanks Snarts. While I understood everyone hating Dez. It seemed like everyone was saying he was this great guy...expect for the fact he didn’t hang out enough. Which seemed like the least of reasons to criticize that slimeball. Your theory makes so much more sense. They just don’t want to get into it with Hannah and this is the best out. Plus I have to remind myself that filming together is their job. And even these attention whores probably like to take a snow day every now and then. So when the storyline is supposed to be “getting to know Dez” and he and Hannah don’t show up for all the scenes the producers probably scramble to come up with other things to film and that’s probably kind of annoying. And it shows because this episode was a little dull.
I’m a terrible person but I am so looking forward to Hannah finding out she’s not a bridesmaid. I think Amanda has a lot of problems and I don’t always like her, but I think she tries to be a good friend and Hannah has been terrible to her in the name of “being right.” Why would Amanda want to make her a bridesmaid? Hannah has told her several times that they’re not friends and that she doesn’t like Amanda and has no respect for her relationship. Is Amanda being petty to ask Paige while they’re still filming and it can become a thing? Yes! Will Hannah throw a tantrum and act like she has no idea why Amanda would do this? Yes! Am I here for all the dumb messy drama? Yes!

Hannah and Des' PDA seemed just for show, like they were practically forcing themselves on each other.  They really really wanted everyone to KNOW and notice.  It is NOT jealousy for any of the housemates to be grossed out by them.  It was deliberate and desperate.  Des is that gross, molesty middle-aged guy.  Everything Hannah is doing with Des is to make Luke jealous and it's so pathetic.  It was ridiculous that Luke was referring to Hannah as being "Sooooo successful."

Paige, it's not that Perry didn't want to have dinner with you at the Hamptons, he just didn't want to be on the show.  And I'm 100% on his side for that.  NOBODY on Bravo gets a good edit.

Whenever I see Hannah, I get that part from #Selfie in my head where she goes "Yeah, the one next to the girl with no shoes on; That's so ratchet; That girl is such a fake model; She definitely bought all her Instagram followers; Who goes out on Mondays?"

Seeing as that's the case, I'm surprised that she's not closer to Lindsay.  They're both extremely combative bitches.

I'm not going to mention how quickly people seem to move on or take their relationships seriously because my husband and I were 21 when we got married, having known each other for less than 6 months.  Of course there were people who were completely against it.  But I knew we were right for each other, so I just did what I wanted and we're still happily married 20+ years later.  But I don't see that between Hannah and Des.  Or Lindsay and Stravy.  Or Kyle and Amanda.  I'm trying to see them as couples in 50 years' time and nope, don't see it.  It was so stupid to hear Lindsay and Danielle talk about Just How Much Stephen has changed.  What, in 3 weeks???  He has changed completely in 3 weeks?!

I thought so but the house is in Westhampton which is practically Quogue. 😆

I watched some of his comedy on YouTube and it was pretty funny. It wasn't all funny, but he was pretty good. I really don't know very much about him except he's with Hannah and it's so easy to just write him off because....Hannah 😑 I guess some people just have a real connection. Remains to be seen. Hannah is so gross and I'm decidedly not gross and still single. I'm a little jel.

I get what you guys are saying but I don't exactly understand why? I think they're saying Des is a great guy because he's genuinely into Hannah (gag) and doesn't appear to be playing her. That's fair. The starfucker part I don't really understand because it's Hannah and in my mind the only people who know who she is are the people on this board, and our numbers are somewhat few 😄 I mean, it's Hannah.

Des very well may be gross, and Hannah/Des together gross me out completely. But from where I was sitting, it looked like Des didn't even stand a chance because Hannah was like Audrey II from Little Shop of Horrors and was trying to swallow him the entire time he was there. I'm tending towards Des is gross because Hannah is gross. By Sunday he just wanted to GTFO. I wonder if he was a little embarrassed by their escapades and/or maybe he didn't realize there were cameras....everywhere.

Further explaining my comments.  Hannah has achieved some notoriety as an up & coming Bravo-celeb.  Des is apparently well-known in Ireland & China but (as far as I've heard) has little recognition in the US where he lives.  I feel like him reaching out to Hannah and being so quick to show everything on TV is self-serving.  I'm not trying to say that two wierdos finding each other isn't true love, I just question his initial motive.

Then again, I question everything Hannah does and says these days, so maybe they deserve each other.  I just wish I didn't have to see them on my TV screen.

Yeah, being a main cast member of a Bravo show is celebrity. Maybe not respected celebrity but these people are famous. And how famous do you need to be before people glob onto you over it? I’m guessing not very. Being on a Bravo reality show as Hannah’s  boyfriend is quite possibly more exposure than Dez has had in years, if not his entire career. I have no problem believing that a good portion of Dez’s interest in Hannah ties in some way to the show.

But the conceit of this show is there is no show, so no one can say that. Hence sort of dancing around the idea he’s there for his 15 minutes of fame and only shows up to film his big scenes. At this point on shows like Teen Mom they would just say it, but Summer House still pretends these people aren’t professional personalities so everyone just says they didn’t get to know him.

I think it's a two-way street.  Hannah knows there's more story for her if she has a significant other, Des is willing to play that for the exposure.  I have no way of knowing for sure, but I'm certain that H&D are itching for a H&D gets married in the Hamptons special.

I guess I understand all of that as it has been clarified and explained, but to be honest I didn't think anybody actually watched Summer House except for our little group here on the boards ☺️ Des was being swallowed whole by Hannah the entire time he was there to the point that I didn't see him as vying for camera time at all. He was lucky if he could get a full breath of air (so, so gross). I felt like except for his desire to see Hannah, he couldn't get away from the house fast enough. If he WAS going out of his way to chum it up with everyone, I would think differently about trying to get exposure and camera time. But that's just my $.02. To some extent I feel like you're damned if you do (Des) and you're damned if you don't (Perry). Although I don't blame Perry for staying away one bit. Fun fact, Perry is also ten years older than Paige at 38-39.

This is my first time watching and I didn't think Hannah could be any more than when I first saw her on the "chat room". Boy was I wrong.

I think Ciara was already on the fence about Luke and needed an excuse to put a stop to any relationship with him. I do think if Carl was in a better emotional state,  he and Ciara would have been cute.
