jewel21 December 6, 2020 Share December 6, 2020 Quote For the sake of Bob's health, Bob and Abishola try reducing stress by taking a day off together. Also, Christina is boss for the day at MaxDot, and Gloria steps in to care for Dottie Airdate: 12/07/2020 Link to comment

Same. They had some nice chemistry. I would love to see more scenes between them. Abishola is boring, heh. That's the only thing I took from this episode. Also, I think Christina needs to be demoted to the floor as well. Except everyone would quit due to the crazy, heh. 1 9 Link to comment

Of the post-BLM-summer episodes on various shows I've seen, this was the best BLM dialogue, IMO. Subtle can be very effective. 7 minutes ago, jewel21 said: Abishola is boring, heh. This episode finally drove home for me why I like Abishola more than many other viewers do. She's like me, hah! My BIL once said my middle name should be "Laundry." I'm glad Bob has lost 30 lbs. Has Billy Gardell too? 1 8 Link to comment

AnimeMania December 8, 2020 Share December 8, 2020 I liked how they switched up the characters, everybody got a moment to shine, except Kemi, Olu and Tunde. Bob and Abishloa were the worst part of the episode. Abishola is such a wet blanket. 7 Link to comment

Also “Party poop.” At last someone with that aspect of my personality gets to be a main character! 6 2 Link to comment
greekmom December 8, 2020 Share December 8, 2020 Dottie should thank her lucky stars she has Bob. If Christina and Douglas were left to run the company full time MaxDot would have gone bankrupt in an instant. I really hate the fact that Christina was trying to pull rank on her brother. I wish they pressed the couples massage and went through it. I would have loved it if Abishola actually enjoyed it and wanted it to be a weekly thing. 9 Link to comment
Ms Lark December 8, 2020 Share December 8, 2020 I, too, loved the Gloria/Dottie interaction! I thought it might wind up worse, but it was excellent. I also thought it was fun that she let Dottie have dogs and beer and other bad stuff. Abishola does have the upper hand, remember Bob had to wear her down just to get a date. Most of the feels are on his side of the fence. But agree she is a bit of a wet blanket, maybe Bob will loosen her up a bit over time once she feels more secure about her future. 2 Link to comment

Harvey December 8, 2020 Share December 8, 2020 (edited) I loved the moment when Bob and Abishola finally got along and she was impessed by him making a work call ❤️ So cute. About Goodwin and Kofu...well duh, it is a family business, of course a member of the family will get a higher salary. No point in trying to change that or argue against it. LadyNebula December 8, 2020 Share December 8, 2020 Gloria was right - the gay community can turn stuff around in a city. Philly has a section called "The Gayborhood." Pride flags on the street signs and everything. As soon as you set foot in the Gayborhood, it's just nicer. Cleaner. No urine smell. As soon as you step out, you smell piss again. Of course, the areas surrounding it aren't really bad either. It's just a noticeable difference. 6 Link to comment

Your comment reminded me of that one Will and Grace episode...and then I saw Keywestclubkid already mentioned haha...apparently the presence of gay people raises property value because they organize things so well and keep things neat. I was suprised to see it brought back again. Link to comment

floridamom December 9, 2020 Share December 9, 2020 I'm tired of watching Bob have to do cartwheels just to get a positive reaction from Abishola. She really is a wet blanket. This will be tiring for anyone who has to continually do that. I hope to see Bob dump her and have her come running back to him. She needs to make a consorted effort to be nice to the guy. She barely tolerates him....and has no sense of humor. Bob is a nice man who deserves a woman who has some appreciation for him. I hope they adjust the characters a little as this will be tiresome for the viewer also. 7 Link to comment
bad things are bad December 9, 2020 Share December 9, 2020 Quote As any native Detroiter knows, the Grande Ballroom was pronounced "Grandee," not "Grand." Yup. They were sailing along, namechecking a lot of Detroit stuff, then the "Grand" Ballroom. My husband, who went to many a show at the Grande in his youth, said "oh, they were doing so good until then". (oh for the days when you could see national acts for a few bucks) Quote Yes!!!' And the answer to the question "Does anyone go downtown anymore?" Is YES!! Agreed. Chuck Lorre and the writers apparently have a vision of Detroit from 20 years ago. Pre-pandemic, downtown was very lively, great fun and quite safe. If they need a Detroit consultant, I'd like to apply for the job. 8 Link to comment
tennisgurl December 9, 2020 Share December 9, 2020 If anyone needs a spa day, its Abishola, she really needs to learn how to cut lose and have a little fun without getting anything checked off her to-do list. I did think that she and Bob were quite cute this week, especially when Abishola was all happy listening to Bob hardball people over the phone, they have been doing a better job this season in general of letting Bob and Abishola actually have fun together, it isnt all struggles and drama. Dottie and Gloria were a fun surprise, I really liked their interactions and them bonding over growing up in Detroit, even if their experiences had a lot of differences. It even seemed like some of those differences were finally coming through to Gloria and she showed some actual self awareness about her privilege's as a white woman from a wealthy family. It was nicely subtle and got its point across without giving up the jokes. 6 Link to comment

possibilities December 12, 2020 Share December 12, 2020 This was the first time I was annoyed by Abishola. Bob tried to come up with a fun day, and she is strung so tight, she didn't even appreciate the effort. If she's going to be so strict about what to do, she should not have let him plan it alone, she should have talked it over with him first. You have to be open-minded in a relationship, and show some enthusiasm at least a little. But then it was fun to see that they actually did both enjoy the same things at the end of the day. He was kind of doing the rote romantic script-- picnic, massages-- and maybe that wasn't really what he enjoyed either. For sure he didn't enjoy the picnic. 1 5 Link to comment

Now I want to see Bob and Abishola's first steamy* romance scene happen in the laundry room of the hospital with Bob realizing that's what turns her on. But then my mother was fond of saying that my father claimed she must have been a laundress in her former life because of her obsession with doing laundry, and my brother-in-law said my middle name would be "Laundry" according to Welsh custom. So I can relate to Abishola's washing machine appreciation. ________________________ * no pun intended Link to comment
