I have it on. I’m getting so confused. It looks like two more new couples. They should show the US version and then air the Australian one after it’s done. I can’t keep up with watching, posting and doing spreadsheets lol.

I guess we’re on the right track.  Who are these new people?  Why don’t they have a heading like the American version?  Where’s @ Lenny?  He knows everything, lol.  Oh, now more new people.  WTH?  Are we on the right thread?  Where’s everyone?

Yo! Primetimer locked my account because  it didn't  recognize my PW!

--Okay, we all know where the marriage  of Lizzie "The Mouth" and Sam "The Body" is headed. 😕

I like her looks here more than I do her anorexic Seb-marriage one.

--Dork Lauren (what's  up with the gouges on her nose?!) is not up to handsome Virgin Matthew's appearance. He would be a better match for the pretty bridesmaid who can't keep her eyes off him!

--Human Rights Advocate Ines has big, lovely blue-gray eyes. With her childhood of refugee parents, maybe she now deserves the handsome entrepreneur Bronson, who will shower her with lavish gifts!

--Greek Martha (the brunette whom Lizzie's Sam** would prefer??) and Phys. Ed. Teacher Michael---High hopes here, as they both seem very family-oriented. However, I'm not aware of hard-core Greek families welcoming non-Greeks into the family.

--**Yeah, Sam shouldn't  still be in such close contact with his ex or her family. J/S.

--OMG! Ines is bold, telling Bronson at the altar to get rid of his eyebrow ring! Also, her pulled-back hair isn't  a good look. I guess her 'tude will change when she learns about Bronson's  💰💰💰.

--Greek Martha and T, D, & H Michael look great together!

--Like I said, Ines will find Bronson's brow-ring and stripper past QUITE acceptable when she first goes for a ride on one of his 6 boats. You could tell Bronson thought about which career answer to give her; he chose the one that would test her. She failed.

Ines also needs to stop with the tongue-rolling-around-and-pushing-out-her-lips tic.

--Martha also should cool her jets a bit.

This is only my second season of watching the Australian version.  Dumb question:  Is this the season that was filmed before last season, which explains why Lizzie is a blonde???  I know this should be obvious to me but I'm currently on several medications... 😵   Thanks in advance! 😎

Yes, this current season was filmed before the last one, where Lizzie wound up with Seb. I think Lizzie looks better physically here, as she's not so thin, but I hate the blond. Honestly, I don't find her all that attractive. Is she still with Seb?

10 couples is too many! I can't remember any of them!

Ines is truly the worst. She thinks being rude is a quirky personality trait. She's just an asshole who I'm willing to bet uses childhood trauma to justify toxic behavior. Who gives a shit if he stripped in his 20s? Bronson is way too kind for her.

I'm with Martha - Michael (manbun) is hot as fuck. She lucked out and they're probably the most attractive couple.

I like awkward virgin man and I'm glad they chose someone very gentle for his match. His performance was good!

Doesn't Lizzie catch Sam making out with another wife later on? Based on this episode, I'm guessing it's Ines.

Well, bold is one way to put it, very rude is another.  Telling him that could have waited until the reception at least.  Her attitude is bad right off the bat.  Imagine what her response would have been if she was matched with the virgin guy.  She would have been critical and mean when he sang to her.

I can never get down with the judging people's looks and making that a reason why two people don't or can't work. The individuals decide that, not me. And she was cute. They both seem happy. Bravo to them.

I've been trying to figure out if LAST weeks' couples and THIS weeks' couples are part of the same SEASON!  Somehow, the Episode numbers seem to overlap.  & so many couples!  I'm beginning to question whether I am 'bright enuf' to follow Reality TV!  😖😆  (For the amount of time I spend trying to figure out MAFS Australia, I could go for a PhD!)

I guess I'm still aware that this website used to be "Television Without Pity."

Moreover, what?! Like my post was unique in some way?!

And NS, S that the real people decide, not viewers.

You don't need to defend your viewpoint. I'm just giving my thoughts in the out of this person's league type comments. For me, there is no such thing. That's up to the individual to decide I think.

It is confusing when you're used to the American version, but yes, this is all standard for the Aussie MAFS.

They spend the first several weeks introducing the couples in small groups (presumably to avoid overwhelming us?), then immediately going to their "weddings" (which are not legal, unlike the US edition). There are TONS more couples, obviously. The season goes on FOREVER (guess that part isn't so different!) The one they showed us previously on Lifetime was season 7, now they are showing season 6 *confused shrug*. The couples interact at the weekly dinners, after which they decide each week whether to stay or go, but otherwise seem to have less interaction than the american participants. (On the other hand, it seems to be a feature of the Aussie version that there is some scandalous intercouple canoodling, so who knows.)

I agree that trying to watch both versions simultaneously is TOO MUCH.

me too, JennyF. I'm confused by the Lizzie-Seb-"we all know how that turned out" comments. I tend to think that the US version has asshat-guys more than the AUS version -- but the AUS women are more likely to be awful! Some of these women need a whole lot of therapy before they date, let alone marry! I guess the difference is that the AUS version isn't a legal marriage, so it's more of a "let's see what happens" than the US "let's try to make this happen"??

Lizzie and Husband #2 Seb were shown in the US last year, but THIS year we are viewing Lizzie's FIRST marriage!

So since Lizzie had a second marriage, we already know the result of her first marriage to Sam!

Moreover, because we saw Seb already, it is fair game to post how that marriage went---and it went south. 😕

Lizzie is 0 for 2.

That's what ruins this for me.  There's zero legal entanglement, so the famewhores are far worse doing these "marriages" a second time.  I'd rather they just call it something like "Shacking Up at First Sight."  I don't need the pretense of a marriage for sparks to fly.  Have people meet, live together, get engaged at the end of the experiment or not.

If these are not “legally binding marriages” then this whole show is pointless! If they get to the end and decide to stay “married”, is there an actual ceremony that makes it real? Are there couples in other seasons who have stayed together and gotten married for real?

I’m trying to decide who is worse: Ning or Ines. At this point, they are neck in neck. Good lord, how did they get picked - they are horrible! Those grooms deserve do-overs.

I’m late to the party and a first time viewer and thought I’d give it a shot. Weird show but I’m enjoying it. I love that they get right into it without such a long preamble to the good stuff like the American version. There are definitely more characters figuratively and literally on this show.
I’ve only seen the first two episodes and preview for the third since I’m catching up on demand.

Cyrel is way extra, I like her sense of humor but a little goes a long way and I think Nic is both enchanted and a little scared of her. Her brother was a douche making that grand entrance then confronting Nic in that menacing manner. Nic handled it well after a shaky start. I like him. I haven’t seen enough to know how his cancer affects his sex life but I can imagine he’s got some insecurities about it. I’m assuming he’s not impotent though.

Jessika with a K, of course, with lots of stuff in her face.  She’s pretty, but way too overdone. I wasn’t sure what she’d think of Nic but she seems to be giving him a chance especially after that shit show of a toast the best man gave.  I laughed so hard during my mortification and actually had to confer with my husband who just happened to be next to me in bed when I was watching this on my iPad to figure out what he said Nic did after he took that Viagra. Jessika’s dad saying, “Fuck”, says it all for me. I’m not a fan of overprotective brothers but in this case, I’ll allow it and he was a lot nicer than I would have been. Good looking guy but the neck and sideburn tattoos? Wah!

Mel and Dino-I am not surprised she hasn’t had a man in eight years.  She is barely with it and yeah, just not attractive but Dino found her beautiful so what do I know? He said sparks were going to fly later but then they got into bed and stared straight into the ceiling. I liked his entrance and he doesn’t seem that weird to me, I mean not any weirder than her at least.

Saw the previews for the following week, I don’t see Matt being ready to settle down at all. He’s too in love with himself and brags about breaking hearts right and left. I think Heidi deserves better, she seems nice, a little flighty and crazy hair.  She looks older than 38 but it seems like a lot of people of this version look older than their stated ages than in the US.  I do like that the couples in general are in their 30’s and 40’s though.

Ning and Mark-holy hell, she acted just as bad as Jamie Otis with her groom. I didn’t realize she had three kids and is 32-I’m not that far in.  I thought she was well into her 40’s. I’ll have to catch up tonight.

How many seasons are there of this show? I’ll have to see how to watch older seasons because based on what I’ve read here, it sounds like quite a ride!

Ines seems a real pill. Likes watching dogs drink their milk. Whut? Bronson is taking her to the wildlife center! And Ines whines.

Virgin Matthew has nicknamed Lauren "Las." As in "Las Vegas." Las thinks he's kind of dense regarding her romantic signals. The spa tub will decide!

Sam has bailed already on Our Lizzie.

Michael and Martha the Greek seem a good match.

Shouldn't Lauren have the window seat for the view? The more I hear 28-year-old Matthew say he's "afraid of intimacy with Lauren," the more "afraid" sounds like "gay" to me. NTTAWWT.

Sam is another MAFS groom who visits an "ex" !

I think we need to include Ines in the "SDASTHU Club" with American MAFS Chris. She actually thinks she can boss Bronson around! Bwahaha! Oh, man, I can't wait until she's gone too far and then finds out about the boats. Six boats.
