Of course Imani texts back immediately 🤣   Come on, the Dr. knows exactly what he's doing texting someone like that.

Right? I couldn't understand why he did that given how he had just finished a major welcome home boudoir session with Elena. He better not be teasing Imani because I don't think she's the type to let that pass without some payback.

And what in the hell is the COO doing booking talent anyway?

And there's the problem calling every random person a COO. With this show that seems to mean the writers can have the character do whatever fulfills a plot line. IMO Nate doesn't need a mentor, he needs a well-defined job description. Lily thought throwing all the family members together would create magical synergy divined by Neil and Kay but reality is beginning to rear its ugly head. I think it's becoming a matter of who's gonna take their ball and go home first, Devon or Nate.

Too many holes in the Doughboy autopsy story IMO. Even without a seatbelt, airbags should have deployed and kept his head from hitting the windshield. Next, it would have been a closed head injury, not like the bleeding injury he got from bouncing of the edge of a brick fireplace. As for Victor going all Vito Corleone today with Adam...laughable. He implied the Newmans will always need family members to shield each other from all consequences of heinous behavior towards people who aren't family. Quite an uplifting father to son life message there. And he doesn't even need to play that card! Nick actually did nothing wrong. Someone please get the hook, or pull the plug on Victor. He is coming off like a wanna be gangster with dementia.

Good news: Sally got to change clothes. Bad news: Sally apparently got dressed in the dark. What was that flashback to the 1990s she had on? At least the colors matched.

Newman Media must not have very good sources out in key places like the GCPD or the city morgue. Sally should've already heard about Ashland. I mean, the entire Abbott family knows so it must be public by now.

Why was Adam lurking around in Society like he was trying to sneak in after curfew? Surely he didn't think Victor didn't notice him. Plus, you'd think whoever manages Society wouldn't allow people to stand around spying on their paying customers.

Whee, Kevin is an assistant detective now. 🙄 I don't hate it though since he and Chance have good chemistry.

"That fantasy role playing game." Lol, which one, Chance? You have to be more specific.

YR did their homework it seems. The immersive art gallery via augmented reality thing Noah was pitching to Victor is all the rage right now. My tourist destination town is sprouting them like weeds. But does it work in a club environment though?

Wow, Victor basically told Noah to go take a flying leap with his futuristic  nightclub idea. Noah should go make a deal with Jabot or C-W to use one of their properties. Victor would lose his cool.

Allie, sweetums, you need to stay off the pro-Phyllis track. Noah grew up with her messy b.s. and its effect on his family. It's inviting trouble for him to make her his landlord.

Noah, maybe Grandpa Vic didn't mention Ashland's death to you because he thinks so little of you. After all, you're only one of his first grandchildren. You ain't so special. 😉

I love the way Chance looks at Nick like, "Nick Newman, you ARE the weakest link!" Problem is, Nick doesn't know what he doesn't know.

Allie being smirky and dismissive about Victor's dangerous history wrt the Abbotts might change if someone told her about the Marco scheme. Particularly how both Jack and Phyllis got sexually assaulted after Jack was kidnapped to a foreign country and replaced by a doppelganger. I don't like the Allie character being used to whitewash Victor's past.

Ehh, Adam, you need to have your facts 110% straight before you try to pin Ashland's death on daddy. BTWs, did you get your ears lowered?

Quote

Victor going all Vito Corleone

Even with his mouth full of marbles, Marlon Brando as Don Corleone spoke more clearly than Victor. But dang if they aren't trying to turn Victor into some kind of Godfather character now. Nick is definitely Fredo, ha ha.

No Kevin meeting with Chance 2.0 is not top secret. It’s just because the GCPD station set has been dismantled 😉. Now with the absence of sinister music playing in the background, Chance 2.0 conveys to Kevin that King Kong’s death might be more complicated than we thought. Duh, of course it is.  The fact that Jerry Mahoney is overlooking the table that Kevin and Chance 2.0 are sitting at mean anything 🤔?  I guess it does because Chance 2.0’s idea for Kevin to butter up the coroner is dumb. Even though she’s not part is GCPD, she still has to report her findings to the GCPD. Why would Chance 2.0 think that it wouldn’t be the coroner’s top priority?  Like there are a ton of deaths requiring the coroner’s attention in GC.  So the coroner did expedite the autopsy and there was nothing to support anything more tan a car crash but Chance 2.0 just can’t leave it alone. In his own words, he describes Banana Breath’s actions as self defense.

Banana Breath please tell me why NM should not get involved with the story?  Wouldn’t you think that NM would be able to control the narrative and stop “false reporting”.  I guess Banana Breath is allowing NM just to report the facts.

I’m a little surprised that Victor turned Noah down on his plan but I’m not that surprised that Noah will go to plan B with the Grand Albatross. Why not put another feather in Rodan’s beak.

Victor Victor Victor, Adam might be pissing you off but how many times have you pissed on Adam?

Noah and Allie trading glances like the inevitable is going to happen, but what’s the over and under on how long it will take. I’m not a prude but it should happen later and off screen.  I don’t think that we should witness an awkward love scene that would be more awkward for Allie.  Noah making love would remind me of Jim Levenstein of “American Pie” fame.

I just finished reading The Godfather for the 2nd time. The first time being 50 years ago and yes, Victor is being portrayed as the Godfather, especially with his mumbling.  And they even had Victoria use the word consigliere  recently.

Eric Braden really seems to be running out of gas lately. He pauses between words like he has run out of breath and like his synapses aren't firing

EB has been a star on this show for so many years and we do appreciate him. It’s now time to decide on his own to retire before he’s forced out to his embarrassment. Move along with dignity and respect, EB. It’s beyond time. Beyond.

Slayer2 - describing Sharon as the Coffee House Whisperer is perfect.  That loopy, dreamy, whispery tone would be soothing if it was not so creepy. Add the cocktail lounge/70s sparkly tops, the messy up-do, and you have the perfect on-her-feet-all-day barista/business owner. Again - the wardrobe department failing the female cast members.

Did anyone else notice Eric B having a difficult step or two when he got up from the table?  After his silly mafioso performance?

Yeah, the hostile takeover of Jabot was probably the most tame example of Victor's infractions against the Abbotts.  Even worse than the elaborate Marco plan was taking a mentally ill woman, giving her plastic surgery, and using her as a weapon against Jack, resulting in Colleen's death and nearly killing Summer.

I also don't get why THAT was the example- in universe anyway- that Noah gave.  Especially when he was ostensibly trying to point out how malevolent Victor can be.  Taking over Jabot can pretty easily be brushed over as just nothing corporate warfare, but that's nowhere near the bad stuff he actually did.

Between Victor and Crypt Keeper Corinthos over on GH, these soaps must share character creations sheets, with their "ruthless hottie who loves his family" crap. I actually think EB still has a decent amount of left, and is tolerable when he acts like a human being, but his idea of stepping back still seems to be basically fan fiction for his character.

What was Nick even supposed to be arguing when he threw his little temper tantrum? He didn't deserve to be questioned because Ashland was annoying?

Given the overall level of the women's costuming on the show these days, I'll take it. At least she looked like someone going to work.

Don't forget making Ashland, suffering from a heart attack, sign a business deal in Victor's favor in order to get any medical assistance.

Kind of makes Ashland's faking cancer seem a bit tame by comparison, doesn't it?

Yeah, well let's have the reenactment of how Don Corleone went down. Give Hairyson the bug sprayer filled with some toxic chemicals, let him spray it Victor's face, and leave him splayed out dead amongst the tomatoes. So much for this b.s. version of Don Corny Lone.

I know what you mean about Sally; I like the character, like her. She is a beautiful woman but sometimes I want to wash some of the makeup off. Probably not her choice. Her over-enunciating may be the issue with the exaggerated mouth movement. I want to really really like her. But I will take her acting style over MS anyday. Anyday. (see what I did there?😎)

I’m a day behind but holy hell, that dress Phyllis was wearing! I thought the blue thing was bad, but dear lord, who did MSt piss off in wardrobe that they stuck her in a dress that very nearly caused a wardrobe malfunction??? Didn’t CBS get smacked enough with the super bowl incident? Or are they looking for a repeat? I almost feel sorry for MSt. That can’t possibly be her choice and I’d love to be a fly on the wall when she first sees the day’s wardrobe choices for her character.

So Nate's concerned about people finding out that he was Ashland's "unwitting" accomplice in his cancer scam, and what that would do to his reputation.

Wonder if he was ever worried about people finding out that he was a reluctant, but fully aware accomplice in Victor's medical scam?

And speaking of things that Show apparently wants us to forget: All this talk about Harrison's parents never seems to include Tara. She's his mother. She's in prison for financial crimes, not child abuse. I guess that will be a storyline sometime down the line.

The national press are swarming GC for info on Ashland's death. So of course Sharon and Nick were discussing the possibly fatal punch Nick delivered to Ashland, in a public park where anyone could overhear them. 🙄

Nate, you don't have to worry about looking like you have terrible judgment. You have terrible judgment. TERRIBLE JUDGMENT should be tattooed on your forehead.

Wonder if Lily and Billy are taking a meeting with $Bill Spencer while they're out in L.A.? He's a West coast media giant C-W could do business with, tee hee. And he must be very interested in the Jabot & Marchetti deal.

So Harrison is Ashland's heir apparent. Guess that makes him richer than Kyle. Probably richer than all the Abbotts.

Ugh, can Phyllis not go even five minutes without mentioning Diane?

Sally, Sally, Sally. Don't bite the hand that feeds you, hon. Spilling your employer's dirt is not the way you want to go, especially if they're Newmans.

OMG, Nate. Are your boxer briefs too tight? I know Devon is kinda coming at you sideways but your being so defensive just gives him more energy. Man up.

BTWs, the photo of Nate being used in the mid-episode interstitials looks Photoshopped AF to me. His head is too big and it's like it's pasted on yay. What's that all about?

Devon, just have your staff talk to Nate's so you don't have to keep provoking him directly. All this d!ck-swinging between you two is getting tiresome.🤬

Phyllis is still straight up lying to Summer about why she wants a job at Marchetti. She's horrible and I do not see why Summer is amused by it.

Ashley sent a text referencing "operation take down Diane." Hmmm. Maybe the three anti-Diane harpies should be using acronyms so what they're doing is slightly less obvious?

A soon as Imani called, Nate left the coffee he bought for Elena sitting on counter with the lid off. So not only will Elena's hot drink be cold, it'll be full of whatever germs are floating around in the coffeehouse. Grrr.

But with all so respect to you, EB can mumble, stumble, read his lines off the ceiling and he’s better than MS animated antics, face talking, and arm flapping (Caw Caw). Rodan is an expert on all hell breaking loose because she causes most of it.

Banana Breath I hate to tell you be self pity stinks.  Where’s the wambulance to take Banana Breath to the pity party. It looks like Natey Nate Nate will be joining Banana Breath so there will be a table for two.

Are the monkeys with a keyboard still intent on ignoring Tara?  I guess she doesn’t want to claim the body of King Kong either or soother her son at the funeral which it looks like it will be in GC. Tara didn’t embezzle, she just redirected fund from her own business. If Tara embezzled than Olive is guilty of embezzlement when she transferred funds from the corporate account to her own account. In addition, King Kong secretly redistributed funds from one of his own companies to the clinic in Peru.

Speaking of being ignored, has Bowie moved into the basement with Christian?  They really haven’t been mentioned in months.

Not only is Devon being a prick to Natey Nate Nate but now Amanda. What’s the difference if Natey Nate Nate spoke to Imani?  Imani was Natey Nate Nate’s original contact. Why does the legal council in charge have to handle something an associate can handle?  As I said before, why don’t they just ask for Elena to be released from her contract?

Devon continues to be a prick in browbeating Natey Nate Nate. It seems that Devon took away Natey Nate Nate’s surgical abilities now he wants to take away his confidence. Devon is still punishing Natey Nate Nate for his indiscretion with Elena.  No Devon, Natey Nate Nate is not questioning his career change. You are questioning your merger with Chancellor.

Did Rodan say she’s wearing Marchetti 🤢🤮?  If so Marchetti is in a lot of trouble.

Rodan you despicable bold face lier. You say that Summer is the most important thing in her life and I say 🐂💩.  Vendetta, vengeance, and mayhem is the most important things in Rodan’s life. Rodan is willing to sacrifice Summer’s happiness and use and abuse her to achieve her goals.

Sally is 100% right to get ahead of the story or else it does look like a cover up. Banana Breath put Sally in a Catch 22 position by telling Sally it’s her story and what is she going to do with it.  Go Sally go, damn the torpedoes and full speed ahead.

They both are annoying the hell out of me.  They're both being pricks and maybe just ONCE they both should admit they really don't like each other.  All this "family" bullshit has been a saccharine overload since it first started and now it's starting to crack open big time.  Why Devon ever thought Nate would make a good fit to a high position in the business world is almost as confounding as Nate thinking it was a good move.  Amanda and Elena should dump both their pompous asses.

This!  We've had to listen to Phyllis drone on and on about missing her DOTTER for months, tossing in that half-sob she's decided amps up her screeching to Shakespearean levels and now she's flat out lying and manipulating the DOTTER she supposedly loves so much because she's offended that she's not the only homicidal psychopath in Jack's emotional life.

I hope, when she crashes and burns, she's not only alienated Summer but she's also sold the Gloppy Phallus to Lily and has nothing to tie her to Genoa City other than an active and serious addiction to mainlining string cheese.

As for her contributing her fashion sense to Marchetti, well,

this is about as well I'd expect her to do.

0MG, I need resuscitation over here.

According to Worn on TV that horrific dress Phyllis currently is busting out of was designed by someone named Elisabetta Franchi. Based on a shallow dive into the googles, I think Franchi is the prototype for the fictional Angelina Marchetti. Her company seems to be doing fine though and hasn't been bought out by an Upper Midwestern US cosmetics business.

A number of Y&R women have worn Franchi's clothes, primarily Phyllis and Lily. Most of the outfits haven't been awful, except for this one:

Thoughts on today's show:

*  It looks like they splurged on a bottle of olives

*  Is it just me or are Phyllis' teeth blue again?

*  Why in the world is Nikki's hair parted in the middle and stick straight?  She and Phyllis need a good perm

*  Where does Kevin get off throwing stones at Adam? Rape, arson, hacking etc are all in his background.

*  Nicks plays tough with Daddy Dearest. I wish he'd punch him

*  Thanks God Victoria's kids took the death of Ashland well. I was really worried they'd be torn up over it.  After all, Mommy chose Ashland over them .

*  Why does Nikki always look like she is sucking on a lemon?

*  I wonder if Nick,, Victor and the security team will all go to jail?  Nah

I blew what I was drinking out of my mouth when Victor was clutching his pearls denouncing Poppin' Fresh today. "He's a bastard, he's a fraud!" sounded to me like the Doughboy should have been inducted into the Victor Newman Hall of Shame. Before that, those three miserable past-their-expiration dates broads sanctifying a plan against Diane with a "Kaboom" couldn't have been more juvenile. Watched live today, commercials and all. 🥴

Victor couldn't care less that one of his kids is lowkey struggling due to the Ashland drama. Or two kids if you count Adam. Well, as long as Vic's favorite daughter is okay! 🙄

Wait, it's still the same day? Whhhyyy?

I just noticed Society has a unisex bathroom.

Yeah, Diane. What are you doing at the Abbott front door--uninvited--again? Jack gave her an inch and now she's taking the whole dang mile. He might as well let her move in at this point, and then watch Ashley's head explode.

Seriously, Diane? You could've bought over those books for Harrison tomorrow. The poor kid was probably asleep anyway.

So was Nick testing Sally with that non-public info about Ashland's death? Good thing she aced it I guess but Nick might be setting her up.

Diane turning on the waterworks for Jack. This broad. If nothing else she's a good actress because Jack is buying her humble schtick retail with a 100% mark-up.

Hey, was Sally trying to make Adam jealous by mentioning Nick? Oh girl, there's a whole lot of fetid water flowing under that bridge. For example, ask Nick about his son Christian. Then ask Adam.

Nuanced? Pshht. Phyllis couldn't grasp nuance if it attached itself to her face. Ashley's instincts are correct: sending human hand grenade Phyllis into Marchetti to execute some on-the-job scheme against Diane promises to be a disaster.

Adam and Sally as frenemies. I like it. Bring on the hate sex!

Whoa, I did not expect Victor to come clean with Nick about Ashland's fake car accident. Hope he's ready for legal trouble because Nick will confess to somebody, likely Chance or Sally. He can't handle the truth!

There is a big difference between Diane and Rodan. Diane might of caused a lot of pain for Kyle as a little boy but not only Rodan caused pain for Summer growing up but continues to cause her pain as a grown woman.

In trying to act superior to Adam, Kevin falls quite a bit short. Kevin really hasn’t changed all that much. Wasn’t it just the other day that he was ready willing and able to bribe the coroner into speeding up the autopsy and trying to encourage her to speculate on what happened.

Does Chance 2.0 think he’s a Jedi in trying to use the Jedi mind trick on Sharon?  Anything that Sharon might say would be hear-say evidence at best.

Even at odds, Sally and Adam make perfect sense to a non-relationship relationship. They still can play off each other with hidden feelings still smoldering.  As Sally walked away from speaking to Adam, Adam had a look on his face that he actually met his match and that Sally could actually teach him a few things. Speaking of relationships, are the monkeys with a keyboard chem testing Sally and Banana Breath or am I just reading into the situation?

Rodan Rodan Rodan, plotting against Diane gives her an adrenaline high that’s better than any sexual experience ever could. Rodan Rodan Rodan, how in the world can Diane have an epic failure in which she can sabotage the company, for her own personal gain, from a entry level position?  Rodan’s plan will also sabotage Summer but I said it before Rodan doesn’t give 💩💩 about collateral damage. Sitting around the Grand Albatross lobby planning the demise of Diane and acting like they are in the cone of silence. Really, Rodan’s voice can be heard for miles even when she is whispering. Rodan can be seen for a mile and be heard for two. Wow, I was very surprised when Rodan used the word nuance. I didn’t think that it was in her vocabulary unless nuance, to Rodan, means using a sledge hammer instead of dynamite.  Yes Rodan, you do not fail 🤯. You only make errors.

The monkeys with a key board don’t make a hell of a lot of sense about where King King’s car was parked. Doesn’t Olive live in a high end more rural area?  Why would there be a gas station near her house?  Also, why would there be street cameras on back roads?  Did Chance 2.0 actually mean home security cameras 🤔 but even those security cameras would be trained on the property and not the road.

As awful as Phyllis’ wardrobe is (does she have a clause in her contract that says she must expose her boobs every day?), Nikki has been wearing a royal blue dress with bell sleeves that actually looks good on her.  It does have a wide belt, but isn’t that noticeable because it is the same color of the dress

When Diane looks at Jack, her eyes say, "I really really want you."  When Phyllis looks at Jack, her eyes say, "Did I set my DVR to record Judge Judy?  God, I'm craving a corn dog.  I wonder what Danny Romalotti is doing right now?  Don't forget to stop at CVS for toothpaste on your way home."

Ashley was right, the plan is stupid.  And I'd put money on scrappy survivor Gloria over Nikki and Phyllis any day.  If they're so sure Diane is up to no good, why not sit back patiently and let her fall in to her own trap?

When Diane looks at Jack, her eyes say, "I really really want you."  When Phyllis looks at Jack, her eyes say, "Did I set my DVR to record Judge Judy?  God, I'm craving a corn dog.  I wonder what Danny Romalotti is doing right now?  Don't forget to stop at CVS for toothpaste on your way home."

OMG, this is scary accurate.   I'm sure MS must have deep, method acting reason though for why Phyllis looks annoyed or bored as shit whenever she talks to her soulmate Jack , right?

If Diane's actually some villain, then she's the best one the show's had in years.  Whatever she's up to- if anything- SW has been an absolute gift to this show.  She's so good.

Come on, show.  Make the REAL story here that the Diane haters crew is going to fail and turn on each other, and it serves them all right.

Brilliant business man Victor outright says he just wants lackeys at Newman who'll protect his precious ego.

I'll give Nick some credit here.  While I wouldn't say he has a "right" to dislike Sally, since what happened with Summer didn't even hurt her and was nothing more than a petty business rivalry, he's Summer's dad and hasn't been nearly as hysterical as these other idiots.

The designs are fine. The problem is that this person doesn't know how to match their browns. Black and brown, really? And, it takes a true psychopath to even consider putting brown and peach together.

Another issue - a lot of the wardrobe for Phyllis was designed for a younger woman. Many times her clothes do not fit properly. The long stringy hair and blinding chicklet teeth do her no favors.
