If it were anyone else, I would not be such a jerk as to doubt their miscarriage, but this is JRod who claims to have lost 60% of her blood, so I agree that there is something else going on. It may just be a late period that will then be heavy, but she is so extra that it will be the most severe experience anyone ever had. She may not yet be aware that Prissy outed her, or she is trying to figure out how to turn this into a grift of some sort before she posts about it. I had fibroids myself and was ready to get a melon baller and yank out my uterus myself before a doctor agreed that it was necessary. I bled a lot, but never needed a transfusion or anything. I did make sure to take iron pills whenever my period showed up (which was pretty frequently toward the end) which helped a lot with my energy levels. I knew I wasn't pregnant because I wasn't doing what you need to do to get that way. But, once again, if JRod had experienced what I did, she would embellish mightily.

We had a bad drought here back in the 90s. I removed a lot of plants that required more water as they died and either planted drought resistant or just mulched. One of my neighbors complained (she complained about everything) and I told her that I would rather not have a fancy yard if it meant there was not enough water to drink or put out a fire with. As far as Jinger's anxiety, I do believe it. I have read several survivor blogs where people grew up terrified of losing their salvation and going to hell. It's very common in these fundie para church groups like IBLP and Vision Forum.

The Lonely Js Club: James, Jackson & Johannah
Meow Mix replied to SpaghettiTuesdays's topic in Counting On
James is a terrible narrator. "Well, we're in uh Rome. Rome right? Now we're going to visit some square-ish uh thing. We were just in a church uh cathedral uh thing. We're going to get some pizza." There's so much amazing food in Italy and all over Europe that eating nothing but pizza is sad. At least some of them ate salads and pasta. -
Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events
Meow Mix replied to maraleia's topic in Counting On
I doubt there will be any immediate change in Anna, but I really wonder how this will play out as the years wear on. Ten years (or more if FF messes up enough) is a long time and some of her older kids will be leaving the nest by then. I think in 5 or so years, we may start to see some changes happening, but how much remains to be seen. We have to remember that Anna has no education and a ton of kids she can't support without help. -
I remember reading an article by a woman who went whole hog on the submission stuff when she married. She said that it didn't make her husband love her more, it only made him lose all respect for her because she wouldn't express an opinion on anything no matter how minor. So, I can see even Jeremy getting tired of having the entire burden of their marriage on his shoulders.

So is all this begging for a bride for Tim how Jill tore four things in her knee and supposedly needed surgery? Guess she milked that for all she could, so now there is no more mention of her severely injured knee. I see from the one still that Tim and Heidi are already dressing in the same color. And Heidi's mother's floor length denim skirt is tragic.

Zach and Whitney: The Constable and the Carhop
Meow Mix replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Bringing Up Bates
Zach really needs to go back to work if they want to keep buying high end couches and ranges. Even without educating the kids properly, kids cost money. I wonder if they have health insurance. Their last kid ended up in the NICU because they weren't careful regarding covid. As far as them thinking they are better than everyone else because they have a ton of kids, I would be far more impressed if they raised kids that amounted to something. Most of the Duggar and Bates kids haven't. -
Mykelti's statement about all companies being pyramids is straight out of the MLM handbook and shows that she doesn't understand the difference. I make my salary regardless of whether anyone comes in under me and my status in the company doesn't change from month to month based on how downlines perform. I understand that Mykelti doesn't watch the show, but she was there for that awful goodbye mess, so she can't play innocent on how Kody and Robyn treated Christine and Truely. She seems to want to keep a foot on both sides which is understandable in some ways. As for Tony, Mykelti should recognize that the way she brought Tony into the family had a lot to do with how people reacted to him. Then his on-camera antics did him no favors either. I think trying to claim racism is nonsense.

I'm very concerned for this girl. She's actually attractive, so I don't know why she had to settle for Tim. He has no money, no prospects, and he's downright scary. How anyone could watch his videos and not see the barely suppressed rage is beyond me. This is even worse than the Kellers who were chasing fame by selling Anna to the Duggars. Jill is a nobody, so I don't understand poor Heidi's mother fangirling her.

Where is the money coming from for all this? Did they scam a bunch of donations? -
Jesus is totally capable of multitasking y'all.

Waves at @SunnyBeBe I can attest to this as I live in the area as well and used to live in Greenville for a while. His territory probably includes the entire Triangle in addition to whatever is local to him. And he needs to keep the union job because Evie is going to need more medical care as she grows. As long as Maddie is OK with him traveling frequently, they could live in a more rural area. I have a cousin who admittedly has a job he can do mostly remote who lives in Montana and loves it. He travels occasionally for work, but Caleb would need to do a lot more because you can't repair elevators remotely.

Carlin and Evan: But Mostly Carlin!
Meow Mix replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in Bringing Up Bates
Do Travis and Katie not want to be alone ever? It seems that since they have been married they either have his parents visiting, some combination of the Bateses visiting, or they are traveling to Tennessee or on vacation with his family. Now they have the Stew idiots practically living there full time. I can't imagine trying to get ready for the arrival of my first baby with those fools constantly underfoot. So the only thing I can think is that neither one of them wants to be alone with the other. Otherwise having all these guests would make for some serious tension. -
It could be a leak behind the wall. The wallpaper in my downstairs bathroom did that when I had a leak behind the wall. I had everything repaired and ditched the wallpaper altogether. I absolutely hate wallpaper and have been systematically having it removed in my house.

Even if Kody didn't go to the surgery, there were other ways he could have supported Christine and Ysabel. As far as we saw, he couldn't even be bothered to call or facetime before the surgery nor did he call Christine throughout the day of surgery to express support. If that had been my hypothetical kid, I would have been calling every hour or two to see what was going on. He just sat on his hands and waited for Christine to call him. So to me he has no right to try to justify any of this. He was a lousy father, the end.

It took a while to get past the ick of that photo of that poor guy and his mama to notice that his suit coat and pants don't go together. In fact the pants don't look like they are a dress pants material, rather they look like black jeans or something. Either way these people are a mess. For those worried that Timbits will impregnate his girl on their wedding night, I have a feeling that he will have trouble, um, keeping it together long enough to properly accomplish baby making. And I am supplying lots of brain bleach to everyone for putting that image in your head.

Actually, I liked the white dress. However, the flower crown was a big no. -

Meow Mix replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in I Am Jazz
If it takes some silly psychic channeling the archangel Michael to get Jeanette to back off, then I guess you go with what you can. I think it will take a sledge hammer to finally get it through her head that Jazz is an adult and needs to work through things on her own. Get a life Jeanette. -
I feel like there are very few events in this family that are geared to be about Truly. She seems to be dragged along like a piece of luggage and either things are geared toward her older sisters or little kids. I feel bad for her because I agree, those years can be tough enough.

I don't see how Maddie will complete a biology degree with 3 kids and a household to run. She may be able to take prereqs on line, but eventually she will have to take courses that require time in the lab. I majored in chemistry and the biology majors had to take organic chemistry as part of their coursework. It was always a running joke that the bio majors were a menace in the lab. They always seemed to have odd mishaps or do something scary like forgetting to vent their distillation apparatus which sent a very large expensive flask flying across the lab one day. Either way, labs took up a lot of time and given all things, I just don't see Maddie doing that. If she is happy being a SAHM and selling pink poison, that's fine. They seem to be doing OK and I don't think they're on the edge of disaster like Mykelti and Tony because they don't spend as lavishly.

Even if his license is suspended and he has no insurance, he will continue to drive. I see this all the time in my state and often horrible accidents are the result. Recently one guy plowed into the front of a Target store and fortunately no one got hurt. He did get cited for driving without a license or insurance. Regarding Buc Cees, they wanted to build one south of here on a major highway and people who lived in the surrounding area were not thrilled. The place sounded like it was going to be huge with as someone said around 50 gas pumps and a large store. Not sure what ended up happening with it. As for Jill criticizing Jinger's book, she really misses the point. She's not the Biblical expert she thinks she is if she believes that all of Gothard's nonsense came out of the Bible. Most of what he dreamed up had no basis in scripture at all. He was very good at dazzling people who weren't very familiar with the text with lots of quotes, so they assumed everything he said had some basis in the Bible. He's just another conman like most of those mega and para church leaders.

As someone who is a 36 DDD naturally, I can't imagine why anyone would willingly have such a large cup size. It's a pain in the butt most of the time. Decent bras are expensive and finding tops that don't make you look like your breasts arrive in the room 5 minutes before the rest of you is difficult. I hope someone who has lived with larger breasts will advise this girl to tone it down. As for Jazz, I have the same question of how she functioned at Harvard if she struggles so much with simple life occurrences. If it is for a storyline, it's doing her a disservice. People genuinely working through mental health issues do not need to be exploited for entertainment. And Jeanette needs to be seeing a professional therapist herself. And not cousin Debbie, someone neutral who can help her to see that she needs a life beyond Jazz and Sandor.

Mod hair Ken. I had a Quick Curl Barbie, but not the Ken doll. As for beards, Gothard was dead set against facial hair. I always wondered if it was a reaction to hippies or if he couldn't grow a decent beard himself. Either way, it was a thing. I remember reading on Recovering Grace that one woman's father had to shave off his mustache before being allowed to join ATI. Whatever the reason, everyone in the younger generation seems to have abandoned that belief as a lot of men sport beards now. BTW, I'm glad I ate before reading the speculation of what may be living in Austin's beard. 🤮

Lawson and Tiffany: Warbling His Way Into Her Heart
Meow Mix replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in Bringing Up Bates
I hope someone in California knows Tiffany well enough to take her aside and set her straight on some things. Lawson is not going to be successful as a singer and he is too lazy to get any other kind of job. She is losing the income stream from one of her rentals and already had to have her parents cosign to get the house they have in Nashville. I wish she had it in her to tell Lawson to either get a job or get out. -
My issue with the daddy daughter dates is that when called on it being creepy, the families always claim that they are showing girls how a man should treat them. I think girls are learning a whole lot more about how men will treat them by watching how their father treats their mother, their sisters, and any women they come across out in public. If John is rude and dismissive to Alyssa or random cashiers or servers, his daughters are going to absorb that much more than they will some fakey "date". And once the holy penis is born, they will be much more influenced by his discarding them than by one obligatory "date".
