Did I miss the dramatic twist for the final bake? I'm not that invested in this go 'round so I wasn't paying close attention.

This is my new favorite FN show. There's just enough personal details from the chefs to make them "people" but not to make the show a personality contest. The focus is on the food. I am also a fan of the variety of dishes. It's not just baking desserts. Some of them are making entire meals! The family dining idea is wonderful. It highlights the joy food can bring. The camaraderie food can foster. Please FN, don't F*** this up by adding contrived drama!

I enjoyed the last show. And they used quite a bit of blue! Everything wasn't grey, grey and more grey. No sign of a blow up of any kind, if this is when it supposedly happened. I think Tarek will be fine if he wants to continue TV. I enjoy Flipping 101. I tried Christina's show and hated it. As far as I can tell, her only clients are her friends. Hopefully she's good at investing her money 😃 Farewell Flip or Flop. I've enjoyed watching you!

One hour of this show was definitely easier to take. Very few of the bakers are memorable yet and I still can't remember anybody's name...except for Jalessa. Who is getting way too much screen time. I really hope we don't get a "nail biting risk Jalessa might not get anything on her plate" story line two times every week. Everyone's food should stand on its own. It's good or it's not so good taste and presentation. It doesn't matter how it gets there.

Maybe "Turning Red" hit too close to home. 🙂 I was bullied starting around that age (lasted for years) and still carry around some of that trauma. My mom wasn't anything like Mei Mei's mom, but still managed to embarrass me around my peers. That could be why I just couldn't enjoy the movie. I am glad a family movie is willing to tackle a girl's puberty. It just isn't for me.

I gave "Encanto" a try because the reviews were so good and I ended up absolutely loving it! So I watched "Turning Red" today because the reviews are so good and, blah. It was cute, but it didn't feel special at all.

I know the designs were usually fairly basic, but does anyone know if the quality of their flips was good? From what I've seen on TV, the quality looks good, but have buyers come out with horror stories about short cuts or sloppy workmanship? I've always liked Izzy and Jeff so I hope the flips have a good reputation.

Without new episodes, I think the F&F repeats will start to phase out. HGTV is going to want to promote new shows. They are walking away from a lot of money. I'll definitely give whatever show Tarek comes up with a try, but I'm not a Christina fan.

As soon as one of those chocolate chip cookies is removed, a magic elf replaces it, so the symmetry of the jar is perfectly maintained. Or maybe it's an underpaid minion, not an elf. I get those two confused. 🤣

They are amping up all the annoying things this season. The judges are overdoing the clothes, hair, eyelashes, facial expressions, everything! Molly continues to be over the top perky. And there were already too many bakers. Why bring on 2 more? I felt for Jaleesa. I was amazed she managed to come back and get her cake done.

Shouldn't this thread be renamed "Kim Kardashian Thomas Humphries West Kardashian" now that she's legally changed her name?

This show is starting out with way too many bakers. The only ones who are memorable so far is the woman from Hawaii and french guy. Both of their decorating skills are amazing.

Molly was such a bad choice! She's trying way too hard. She needs to calm way the heck down. It doesn't help that she's dressed like she's on the beach in 90 degrees when I'm looking outside at piles of snow.

The boots are cute, even if they look kind of big and clunky for her. I'm absolutely sure that if Khloe had given True a colorful little straw purse from a dollar store she would have LOVED it! This whole "True is a budding fashionista because she has a $1,000 designer purse" is grotesque.

This might be a very stupid question, but is there any work on new designs for figure skates? Anything with the blades or how the blades and boot connect? In gymnastics, the vault apparatus and the floor structure were completely redesigned to be more "springy" and support bigger tricks. Simone Biles' tumbling would never have been possible on the plain rubber mats we had for floor in the dark ages when I was a gymnast. Is a more "springy" figure skate sacrilege?

His fans have to shell out an extra $200 for a proprietary player in order to listen to Donda 2. Geez, that's worse than being stuck with a Betamax.

I'd say Kamila was hurt much more by having to skate under such international scrutiny and pressure than she would have if she'd been pulled from the Olympics entirely. She'll be 19 for the next quad and if she has a good and honest coach she could have been poised for greatness. Even if her jumps were downgraded, she is an incredibly artistic and captivating skater. At this point, her reputation is trashed and she's off the podium anyway. I admit I'm skeptical about the other 2 ROC skaters. I'm assuming they were just better cheaters.

And it was the US judge that gave him an 89. Reeks of trying to make sure Shaun White gets on the medal stand.

Yuma is just adorable! He looks like an Our Gang member from Little Rascals. He's so fun to watch. Amen to the Tara Mr Collins comparison. Tara and Johnny seem more into their own performances than what's happening on the ice. Can't Scott Hamilton be a commentator?

There's courting controversy for ratings and then there's just plain unethical. Casting him is treating the Big Lie and Jan 6th as blips in public opinion.

I thought Jensen came across as telling an entertaining story, not a "I was bullied" story. It was his truth, but not in blaming way. People contacted Jessica's "rep" and didn't get a comment. I hope this isn't going to have blow back.

I don't read the comics so I really don't know how Eternals meshes with the rest of the MCU. I am confused about Earth being the celestial "egg". Why would Ego have planted Earth with his "seeds" in the 1970's if there was already a celestial incubating here? In cosmic time, the few decades between the 70's and the Tiamut hatching would be nothing. Would Ego really not know Tiamut was there?
