  1. I'm surprised the entire auditorium didn't explode like a blood engorged tick, filled with the hypocrisy of the hypocrites who are hypocritical....... Jada and Will have successfully and proudly raised two of probably the most intolerable youth on the planet. I cannot even imagine how they would respond if someone clocked Jaden squarely in the middle of his superior, special snowflake mouth. Understatement of the year.
  2. One of my biggest pet peeves on reality t.v. is how most people can't be articulate in a fight or confrontation. Ciara should own a couple of brain cells but she was an inarticulate fool with both Austen and Lindsey. On the flip side, I was pretty impressed with Paige. Lindsey started doing her manipulative BS where she turns everything around on whoever is confronting her and Paige was not having it. She didn't back down at all. Good girl. Why is Danielle so ride or die for Lindsey? She seems pretty low drama so how she can be friends with someone who is constantly in hysterics is a complete mystery. And it makes me dislike her. Another poster said earlier that Austen crawled out of a dumpster and I can't stop laughing about that. He had SUCH a mean streak going this episode. While he has continuously been foul and disgusting, I don't think he's ever shown himself to be mean. Warranted or not, he was awful to Ciara during their conversation in the kitchen. So Craig is basically saying he wants to date Paige and continue screwing around until he decides if he may or may not want to commit to her? He used to strike me as a monogamous type. Shep used to always tease him about his lack of game, how he wouldn't approach girls in bars or do random hook-ups. He doesn't seem like that anymore. I blame Austen!
  3. Funny that Steven's big excuse about Annie not being the one was because she wouldn't fit into his life on the farm, and now he and Calah have bought a house in Kansas City. I did think it was interesting that in one of the articles he referred to it as "my" new house when they are apparently moving into it together. Maybe I'm being naive, but Steven always seemed like he was actually open to falling in love and it looks like (for the time being) it actually worked out for him. He took things really seriously. I think it was a big risk to pick Calah. We never really got a sense as to who she was. I did like how she opened up during the family visits though. Kurt was more of the typical type of Bachelor contestant. I'm not surprised he didn't end up with anyone.
  4. Annie's face when Steven didn't choose her looked genuinely sad and shocked. She handled herself with such poise throughout the show, she has nothing to be ashamed of. Unlike Carolyn who should be absolutely mortified at her own behavior. But I don't imagine she has an ounce of self awareness at all. The four of them at the end together was really cute! A follow-up show with the couples would have been fun, but knowing the outcome, obviously won't be possible.
  5. Christina strikes again with her design knowledge. In back to back episodes, she presented the blue kitchen cabinets as "sooooo vintage" and then "soooo MCM". I'm pretty sure that a house built in 1923 and a house built in 1953 have vastly different aesthetics. I also don't think nautical blue is a vintage or MCM classic kitchen color. You know Miss Christina - one size fits all, you just call it something different! I would have thought if you were going the colored cabinet route in the Santa Ana house, a lovely sage green would have been perfect. I would have very much preferred to have seen what Erin from Home Town would have done to that beautiful home.
  6. Jamison's story was horrifying. He kind of reminded me of Dirty John in a way? Like a person who lives only to make others frightened and miserable! The landlord seemed like a cool guy and all but I would not put him above getting myself out of a grave situation. I know the law is tricky but I would think a landlord would have a more direct route to eviction than another tenant in the apartment. Maybe she didn't have any savings but another option could have been to pay out as much as you could to the landlord in advance, apologize, and leave. I couldn't believe that Jamison had her arrested and thrown in jail for attacking him with a knife? It seemed the case even made it through to her subsequently being charged. You mean all it takes is one person's accusation, with no witnesses and no evidence, to make a charge stick??? I think the biggest heartbreak in the story was that he took her cats. Alex seemed a little off? While her Mom seemed sharp as a tack. It seemed like maybe her Mom still had to look out for her? I am sorry, I can't wrap my head around any single woman (especially young), choosing a grown man as a roommate instead of another young, single woman. She wouldn't give Jamison the address to her apartment, but immediately upon meeting him, she takes him over there, alone, and then lets him move in right then? That was just so stupid on multiple levels. I did like how she turned the tables on him with the party, but she could have ended up dead. I loved the lady with her dream condo and I was so sad that she lost it. I was amazed to learn that you can put a tent up in your living room and find a renter??!
  7. I think the show definitely portrayed Ally in a poor light, which isn't typical. I'm glad her parents didn't read the texts. It's so personal, like reading someone's diary in a way. This was a young woman who was probably quite sheltered by her parents and had little to no experience with young men. I'm not surprised that she became obsessive about her first crush. And if it was her first sexual experience too, that can complicate a persons' feelings. I had expected that he dragged her against her will to an isolated spot and executed her. Instead, she may have even been happy at that time, thinking she was finally getting some alone time with Brandon. It's crazy to think about. I don't think she was ever pregnant. It seems her sorority wanted their name kept out of this. They were alluding to things early on that made me think she must have been in one. Then they finally did a quick shot of the Alpha Phi house and mentioned the date party, but they never uttered the sorority's name. Stories like this always scare the ever living crap out of me because you seriously never know who is a murderer. You can't tell a young woman to not ever date, not be alone with a man, etc. There are some risks associated with just living life! I'm not saying it's true with this story, but sometimes there really are no signs. Sometimes it truly can be a wolf in sheep's clothing.
  8. As boring as this show has been at times, I do think they've set it up for a pretty good ending. It could really go either way with both the guys so it'll be fun to watch. I like Steven and Annie together and I think she's always been the front runner with him, but I also don't see her living on the farm (for more reasons than just her pesky allergies). I'm totally team Kurt and Amanda. But who knows what part of his body will win out in that decision. Great observation. I think most, if not all, of the girls would totally date a "Kurt" in real life. Steven, not so much. He's the millionaire but Kurt's lifestyle better matches what these women would be looking for. If they have a bro-show of their own, this HAS to be a part of it! Red Alert - dump the skank, bro! Kurt and Amanda's date was filmed to look like an expensive tourism commercial for some small town in Indiana.
  9. This was the start of many, many holes in this series. Completely agree with you. How about the license plates too? A full tank of fresh gas? Come on. Is Andy running for her life or looking for love? Looking for love, apparently! I'd be locked in the bathroom of the hotel, hiding in the bathtub with my grip on the gun. But Andy's out rubbing elbows with the hot townies, ready for a hook-up! Again, this is some seriously suspended disbelief.
  10. I can't yet form an opinion on Ryne. Most seem to be on the side that he is anxious, shy and socially awkward. Could he simply be so worn down by Jen that he doesn't have any more f**ks to give and that's what we're seeing? Is it that Ryne is actually even MORE of a snot and pompous jerk than the Dubrows themselves? He's looking down on them by not engaging on purpose? Going along with that, does he think he's the smartest guy in the room and is going to do his best to make others feel awkward and idiotic? He's going to put his napkin in his shirt because he knows it will garner negative attention and perhaps make people uncomfortable. And also embarrass his wife. A comment like, "I've never held a job", in your first conversation with someone would make most listeners uneasy. How do you respond to that? That's an intentional play to create awkwardness. I understand that being on the spectrum or being social awkward could also explain these behaviors. I'm just not totally sold that that's what we're seeing here. I know that the party hosts should make the guests feel comfortable and welcome but doesn't it go both ways? Shouldn't a guest be engaging and appreciative and meet them halfway? I took Heather's "grilling" of Ryne in a different way. I think she repeated the question and every time, Jen answered, not Ryne. She was trying to let Ryne talk without Jen interrupting, with no success. Again, I haven't formed an opinion on Ryne. It will be interesting to see more of him and how this whole thing plays out.
  11. This episode torpedoed the series for me. I can't think of any better word to describe it than plain old "stupid". It became like Little Fires Everywhere - I hated every single character. I don't want to look at close-ups of Anna Chlumsky's face anymore. There's one thing to let yourself age gracefully and then there's a person who should stop with the spastic facial gymnastics and who a shot or two of Botox could certainly help. Vivian's husband should have locked her up in their bedroom at home. She failed to protect her own health or the health of her baby. Why did she act like this pregnancy was something that simply fell upon her one month before she was due to give birth?? It was infuriating to watch. I will say the one positive was I thought Julia Garner did an exceptional job.
  12. Callah and Amber were the big surprises this week with how great they presented to the families. Callah seems like a nice match for Steven but I agree that she likes Kurt better. Kurt's wasted all his time on little dog face so he doesn't seem to really know Callah. It was interesting how much she had in common with his Mom, but he hadn't shared any of those details with her. Kind of confirms that the contestants for the most part talk about nothing of substance. Whitney seemed to go from a favorite to losing favor from both guys. Annie was my favorite for Steven but after seeing her with his family, she doesn't fit in. Steven is confusing to me. He's so well spoken, articulate and a good conversationalist. Did he go to college? He seems to fit in with his family as much as he doesn't. He seems to embrace presenting as this kind of hick, small town guy but then he wanted to tell Annie's Dad that he owns many businesses, travels and he can live anywhere. So which is it? I guess you can be both? LBH - the house was gross. Thank you! I'm a huge animal lover but if someone brought out a pet raccoon I'd run in the other direction. I will never forget a story on the news about a baby and the family's pet raccoon. I'll spare the details. "Pet" monkeys are even more horrifying.
  13. He was really annoying to me up until this episode. Now I see that he's just a shy guy. He actually slowed down and talked at a normal speed when he was talking to Amanda. But I second the above, why would anyone think he makes compelling reality t.v.? And they need to just stop with trying to make him and Ciara a thing. Just stop. I've always been an Amanda apologist. I'm on my last straw. Kyle is no prize but there are times when I feel a wee bit sorry for him. Nagging has never gotten anyone what they've wanted. Someone please correct me - wasn't Kyle and Amanda's wedding in her parents backyard? Or am I totally making that up? The cost of the venue is one of the major expenses for a wedding. If they removed that, how in the world did they spend $200k? I have a distinct vision of the mailbox and post office where my husband and I dropped off our wedding invitations. It was super exciting and we both were extremely happy. I'm sorry that these two losers are missing out on the entire experience. I also planned a fairly large and formal wedding with no help from a planner (no Mom help and LBH, just a little help from my husband). It's seriously not hard if you stay organized and on a timeline. Plus, most people are, gasp, HAPPY to do it and that makes it not some kind of dreaded chore.
  14. I chuckled at the one male friend saying that Anna having a "peasant face" made it more believable that she was rich. "Peasant face"! I want to see every inch of her lawyer's brownstone. I also want to wear his wife's pink tulle gown. Anna really seems to hate fat people. The fact that these are my takeaways from the first episode does not bode well for the series.
  15. Yes! That shot when he was just having the best time with Amanda's family said it all. And then they pan over to Carolyn in the background pouting and shooting daggers with her eyes. How is this even a choice! There can be a lot of reasons why Carolyn's family didn't show up but I would guess none of them are good. Red flag alert!! Amanda's mother is Barbra Streisand??!! No wonder they're so rich!!
  16. I think the Dubrow's are angling for a spin-off focused on their family. I usually am annoyed/have no interest in the kids and teens who show up on these shows, but Kat seemed positively delightful and grounded. I've seen Max for about two minutes on screen and I don't need to see anymore. I want to reach through the screen and smack Noella every time she does that dumb head cocked, pursued mouth, lips open, questioning look of confusion. Ugh!! Girlfriend, I can't help but think that every single interaction you have with another human ends up the same way. You piss them off and then cock your head in that, "what did I do??" simpleton look. When are you going to realize that it's not other people having the problem, it's YOU??!! Emily was 100% correct in calling her out for talking about herself so much. She was just so inarticulate about it. This woman is a lawyer? Just get straight to the point! It's not about not ever sharing about yourself, it's about giving others a chance to, not interjecting, and simply listening. Noella seems completely incapable of doing this.
  17. Yes! She is so manipulative and I hate how he just crumbles under it. He expresses any kind of concern about her and she immediately dismisses it and tells him if he is feeling like that than she's not sure she wants to be with him. Then he grovels and back tracks. How twisted is that?
  18. Doesn't it seem like it's gotten so much worse since the show started? He's very articulate and carried himself well in the initial episodes. Now he is totally playing up the "aw shucks" hay seed routine. I like Annie for Steven. She seems down to earth but could probably broaden his horizons a bit. I think the most telling thing of this episode is that all the girl's are over Carolyn's drama too and were super hyped not to have her around. Personally, I think she's a dog face. She was waving that one big foot right in the camera when she was talking to Kurt and for some reason that really bugged me too :-) They had to order an Uber XL just to fit Jennie's lips for the ride home.
  19. Thank you for sharing!! Such a cute hat! Does anyone know Amanda's back story or what she was like growing up? One day, at 21 years old, did she emerge from her parent's basement, her acne cleared up, she got contacts, lost 100 pounds, got her braces off, landed Kyle and that was it for her? Nothing can explain how she seems to think she has landed this man of all men or her utter devotion to him. It's like she's never been out in the world. But she's also not the first nice girl to get herself deeply stuck in a bad situation. I never hated Craig on SC but I am currently not impressed. Yuck - he looks bad and acts worse. If I had to risk my heart on a player, I'd put it in Andrea's hands before Craig's. Although still probably a risk, Andrea is just coming off soooooo much the better choice in this situation.
  20. Christina's absolute repulsion over walls is borderline phobic. Good Lord, woman, what did a wall ever do to you?? Was she bullied by a wall in High School? Have her heart broken by a wall in College? Have a quickie marriage, baby and divorce by one......oh wait, that was Ant! I think something that shows how completely limited she is as a "designer" is her inability to acknowledge or recognize any other style outside of her gray and white box. What if she had a client who enjoyed defined and separated spaces? Could she work with them? Could she design within four walls? Recently, there was a house (sorry, can't remember which one, the episodes tend to run together for me) that wasn't that bad. In fact, it just looked like a dated, cute, little Grandma house inside. She acted like she was going to vomit. Did she ever have a Grandma? Or know a person who liked to collect older things and preferred a warm and cozy space as opposed to modern design? When she walks into those types of homes it's like she's personally offended by them. Highly. I wonder if she visited someone in real life with a house like that, would she be so disgusted or would she be able to cover it up?
  21. Jill doesn't have to worry that her teens will ever act like heathen run amok average teens because she emotionally stunted them to stay perpetually 7 years old.
  22. Someone needs to say to Noella, "it's not all about you. We all get a turn. Don't worry, you'll have your turn too". Women who need ALL the attention, ALL the time are the absolute worst. It always begs the question; what the heck did you miss out on in life that you need eyes on you at all times? Shut up and sit down. Gack. I just can't with that woman. I liked Emily's approach to the hooking up with a girl conversation. She didn't want to delve into details and kind of shrugged it off. Meanwhile, Miss Attention Whore 2022 is bouncing up and down like a kindergartner with her hand raised. Me, me, me!! What do you want, a gold star, you idiot? Emily and Gina are what my Mother would describe as "low rent". They're kind of rough and just stomp around like a couple of hunchbacks. They both could use some grace (not just physically). Emily's worse than Gina. At the same time, I don't really mind them, but I'm not sure they're what I watch this kind of show for. I don't mind Dr. Jen. I actually think the interactions between her and Heather seem genuine and they could truly be friends. She was in a lot of physical pain and yet only confided in Heather about it. Noella would have an airplane flying a sign over the beach with fireworks coming out of the engine. I also really felt for her during her phone call to her husband. I guess just because I could hear in my head how my husband would have responded. Just because pork rind wasn't there with her, didn't mean he couldn't have made her feel a little better. His sarcastic responses made it so much worse. Thank you! What was up with that awful, uncomfortable looking dress? She looked like a junior high girl going to a school dance. The other ladies looked breezy and cool in typical vacation wear. Weird.
  23. Jill bends the rules to accommodate her own beliefs. Exactly what she preaches you can't do. Hypocrite.
  24. Is Phillip older than Sammers?? How exciting to take a trip to a museum where you know not a single thing about the subject. If Jill is the perfect Christian, so much holier than thou, I would love to provide her with a challenge. God and Jesus should be first in your life, correct? Nothing should really be focused on that takes away from your love and devotion to the Lord. Jill - stop wearing make-up. It's vain and you are focusing on yourself and not your God and Savior. You are seeking personal attention and adoration. I 100% don't think she could do it.
