I guess there was no such thing as wrongful termination in 1949? The diner owner fired Dee just based on anonymous, uncorroborated phone call.

S01.E12: Through The Valley Of Death

I do not read much of entertainment news, so ELI5. What does Diggle do in these Arrowverse shows? He appeared on Batwoman, The Flash, and now this. Is he up for a new series? There was a speculation that he would be Green Lantern but I believe that HBO Max already cast that series and Diggle would not be involved. -
If those were real-life Steve Zahn, his wife should be a satisfied woman.

Wet'suwet'en FN? Does that subtly mean that Capt. Kramer character is Canadian?

I know that the Kevin part of the show is played as a sitcom, but what about all those guests in the escape room? They are legitimately entitled to their $10 000 prize money. Now that they found that Kevin scammed them by swallowing the key, and that Kevin was part of the organizers, lawsuits should be coming to them.

I have perhaps two nitpicks, considering that the setting is in 1949. Vern told Dee that the manager of the hotel was his friend and that person would take care of her. Vern dropped Dee and did not enter the hotel. How would the manager know who Dee was and that she was sent by Vern? There was no cell phone for Vern to inform the manager that Dee was coming. Mrs. Yost wore a transparent plastic head cover all the time she was eavesdropping in the rain. Did such plastic product exist in 1949?

I do not know about Delroy Lindo, but Cush Jumbo has a U.K.-produced series lining up on AMC - The Beast Must Die.

I am a little underwhelmed with the depiction of nuclear explosion in this episode. The Ohio-class submarines carry Trident II missiles which warheads have 100 kT TNT blast yield, or more. As a comparison, Little Boy, the bomb that was dropped in Hiroshima had 15 kT TNT blast yield. So there they were, with the bomb that was potentially 5 times as powerful as the one that ended WWII, and Victor just watched the blast from behind glass windows of a high-rise apartment. Morgan and Grace just sheltered under a car in the open. Dwight and Sherry were just behind a sheet metal door with wood frames.

Looking at Wallis Day in tank top, where did all the tattoos go? AFAIK, the injury was on the face and that was where they did the treatment, Alice style. It would have been a major undertaking to remove all those full-body tattoos.

S01.E11: A Brief Reminiscence In-Between Cataclysmic Events

If his memory of childhood is reliable, Kal-El only discovered his power in his adulthood and only started doing superhero actions in Metropolis. So, there is no Superboy phase in this story? -
S01.E01: Living The Dream / S01.E02: New Tricks

I know that this is the first two episodes and the show just trying to lay down the setting for us and for Allison to start her move but my God, if they do not move fast enough with what Allison is going to do I may just bail. This is not funny, this is serious. Allison is a woman in an abusive relationship that she should have abandoned a long time ago. I may not be able to stand watching Kevin rolls all over Allison without her having any chance or ability or willing to retaliate for long. -
I am a bit confused with Tal-Rho quest to convert Terrans to Kryptonians. He and Kal-El are far from the last surviving Kryptonians. There are General Non and his Kryptonian army. Granted, he will need to let them loose, but they are there. Also, the Argo City is full of Kryptonians. In addition, why does the DoD deal with aliens? I thought it was DEO's responsibility?

How did Warren and Naomi Putnam walk around Canada freely? As a Commander and wife, they presumably did the same crimes as the Waterfords. If the Waterfords got arrested for whatever charges they were, wo not apply the same to the Putnams?
-
I do not like the ending too. So I thought the show was about organized crime and law enforcement in London, well, the usual recipe. But now it becomes a story of cabal and global conspiracy? As for violence, usually violence and nudity go hand-in-hand. But this one is pure unmitigated violence without any effort to hide it from authorities.

The last scene where the meeting happened and Emily said she was happy Aunt Irene had been dead, the view outside the window was clearly bright. And since this was winter in Toronto, it could not have been later than 16:00. As Moira said, "The hour is over," then the meeting could not have started later than 15:00, still within a library opening hours.
-
Am I the only one feeling a bit weird that the survivors meetings happened in a library? Not in a separate room within a library building but in the actual room where books were and visitors presumably came to read?

I suppose that the issue with the Ross brothers was time sensitive. John and Billy might be doing something else illegal, or killing each other as it turned to be the case. Time was of the essence so Mare just took off on her own, presumably with backups following her. In case of Ryan, he was certainly not going anywhere and police presence was to dissuade Lori of doing anything stupid.
-
If he had no access to firearms, Ryan would have to be physical with Erin. He would have to stab, cut, bludgeon, or strike her. He would not have been able to make the threats from the comfort of 5 m buffer from Erin. Would a boy like him be willing to get close and personal to get his message across? Maybe he would, but I would also posit that the likelihood is lower.
-
While I do not mean my post to be a criticism of U.S. politics, but I think this show has subtlety highlighted one of the hottest issues for the last decades: firearms control. Many of the main problems in this show could have been avoided if the United States do not let regular population to have access to firearms that easily. Ryan would not be able to steal that pistol and killed Erin. Patrick would not be able to shoot Dylan. Wayne Potts would not kill Zabel. John would not 'almost kill' Billy.
-
When I thought that the show was on the bottom of its stupidity, it managed to find shovel and dig deeper. Were FBI agents really that incompetent that they let an unconfirmed car (police or otherwise) pulled up beside them without any challenge? The FBI is the nation's prime law enforcement agency, is it not? They should be able to mobilize all federal and local law enforcement in the area and completely saturate that ward. The idea that an evil criminal like Townsend is capable to stand against the FBI in a show of brute force is laughable.

S01.E05: An Inferior Product (2)
TV Anonymous replied to WendyCR72's topic in Law & Order: Organized Crime
I am actually afraid that this show will follow the model of Crime Story - RIP Dennis Farina / Det. Fontana - in that the whole show is a big cat-and-mouse game between particular law enforcement and particular crime organization. I do think that Det. Cappelletti (why does she use real name while UC?) will not last long in L&O universe considering that Charlotte Sullivan is only billed as a Guest Star. That baffles me as well. How does a lawsuit from her wife's nephew for an incident that has nothing to do with her have any bearing in her employment with the NYPD? Or did the Chief of Detectives and the Deputy Chief of SVU openly admit that the NYPD was so corrupt, they would hinder the career of an Officer who was only tangentially related to someone who brought a lawsuit of wrongdoing against the Force? -
If there is season 3 but Bacon is not in it, I will not watch. No Rohr / Bacon, no series. I am truly amazed with Cathy. She dropped someone in front of her building. Unless she herself hid the body, there was no investigation? When she left, there was no police presence around her building, in which case her sudden departure would make it suspicious. And for someone who was broke, she could just take off to Florida?

This episode may have been the worst episode in the last several seasons. Definitely the worst within the last year. What is the purpose of this episode, anyway? It was all a dream so it has no relevance whatsoever with the story arc. Every bit of information we see in the dream can be just waived as 'it was just a dream', and therefore does not matter in the story.

All the talk about Brainy and Nia did what was typically done on the Legends of Tomorrow: With that, I think it is not unreasonable if there is crossover between the shows and Brainy and Nia ended up got recruited by the Legends after Supergirl is over. Why not. Casts of Legends are very much fluid anyway. Brainy is already a time traveler too.

S01.E03: Say Hello To My Little Friends

I have different question regarding Loudon County. Do NYPD officers have jurisdiction in Loudon County, Virginia to actually shutdown the data center?
