  1. I would prefer the slogan as, "We will be here as long as Whiskey Cavalier does not get cancelled". ETA: They have the fuel and lubricants for a working motorcycle? How? It has been around ten years since the apocalypse. All kind of fuels has surely degraded by now. Is there any refining plant working somewhere? Motorcycles can not take 100% ethanol. There have to be petroleum products to make them run.
  2. Can somebody please remind me who 'Georgie' is? I checked on IMDb and she is listed to have had an appearance last season.
  3. Sorry, what 'M' word? As for the series finale, it was a good show for 1-1/2 seasons. Once it encountered the British sub it started going downhill, and it went to MFF since it went to Asia. Not wanting to repeat all the comments in all those threads, I regret that the show does not show us how the rag-tag Navy of Gran Colombia managed to steal, refit, fuel, arm, crew and operate an Iowa-class battleship. There are only four of them, all are museum ships. Meaning that their power plants are already dismantled, and their control systems are probably gutted.
  4. Their number is bigger than what you might think, but IMHO none of them make it big both in porn and mainstream. Those are two list, this and that, depending on your point of view.
  5. OOT: What? What happened with Heartbreak Ridge? It was one of my favorite military movies growing up.
  6. Maybe I should have asked this question in last episode's thread since it began there, but here it is. So the device emits kryptonite particulates all over the world. So what happened to other Kryptonians beside Supergirl? What happened to Clark Kent? What happened to the what remaining of Astra and Non's army? Speaking of which, how was Non doing lately?
  7. "...you salute a superior officer when you leave, Director Danvers." What is what? Danvers is a civilian. Even if she was not, she was not in uniform. What kind of Marine colonel is Haley? It was mentioned between Haley and Danvers that each DEO personnel had 'personal dome' that would protect them from Danvers' weapon.
  8. This. There was no base defense whatsoever in the SOUTHCOMM? On top of that, no Secret Service? Secret Service would have let an vehicle they had not vetted enter an area where POTUS was? There were at least 3 O-10s, 1 O-9 and the POTUS in the building and that building was not surrounded by at least a battalion of security forces?
  9. No, when Miller did his visit to the Southern family, he wore his Service Dress White and he clearly did not wear Parachutist Badge, and he did not wear anything else on the secondary position. OTOH, if you think that a member of the military does not wear a qualification badge that they are qualified and authorized to wear, then I do not know what to tell you. And again, MFF is a very technical subject which service members need to be qualified. It is not something one can pick up at local skydiving club.
  10. Your 4th generation tank, did it allow you to drive it, load the cannon and shoot the cannon, all by yourself? That was what Greene did.
  11. This bugs me too. Miller does not wear Parachutist Badge on his uniform, not even the lead sled. Now he is doing military free-fall? MFF is a complex and technical subject. One can not just take a one day ground school to be able to do it.
  12. Actually, that is one of the TV tropes that is also my pet peeve. While it looks cool in the movies or TV but shooting the tires of a moving passenger vehicle is a virtually impossible shot. The target is a very narrow strip of tire wall - even narrower if one uses low-profile - and it is moving, many times not in constant speed and direction. So Dick Wolf's shows are somewhat tied to reality, I would appreciate their not adding fantasy aspect in the action.
  13. Why did they play The Marines' Hymn in a West Point candidates mixer that happened in the home of an Army Major? Speaking of which, how did an Army Major afford that kind of a house?
  14. "The fastest woman alive"? They already forget about Jesse?
  15. I am not crazy about the using of amazing but impossible technology, CSI-style. I mean really, they can get a clear video from a reflection on an obscure mirror? If there is not enough pixel to form a picture, computer can not just make it up. I am also not crazy about an FBI agent wearing t-shirt for work. I read someplace that FBI dress standard is jacket and tie for men and equivalent for women. Black v-neck t-shirt is certainly not equivalent IMHO.
  16. When military members (or former) are in uniform, they have to adhere to grooming standards. In the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps, the grooming standards include not wearing any beard. Mustache (Tom Selleck-style) is allowed, but not beards. Not shaving the beards while wearing the uniforms means disrespecting said uniforms.
  17. ELI5, please? Marine and Naval Officers in their dress uniforms and disrespecting said uniforms. What not to like? One and done.
  18. I made the comment about how participants were only from three provinces in episode 1 thread, and I want to make this comment to close the season off. I find it amazingly bad that this season completely snubs the Province of Quebec, the second most populous as well as the most expansive province in Canada. Not only that there is no team from Quebec at all but also they do not have any leg even transiting Quebec. What is going on? There is a fall-out between TPTB and the provincial government?
  19. All good comments. While I love the military porn, this show has gone downhill quite quick, in terms of plots and story lines. Therefore I am glad this is The Last Season. Just put it out of its misery. Now, my nitpicks. There are a number of senior of flag officers around. Where do they come from? Was the Navy not annihilated with the crew of Nathan James the only survivors? If they are part of rebuilding the military, should the crew of Nathan James not get seniority upon all military members? The location of the attack is Mayport NS in Jacksonville, in North Florida. Attacking aircraft are IA 58 Pucarás. Where does the Gran Clolombians stage the attack? IA 58 has combat range of only 189 nmi. Assuming that the Gran Colombians do not have an aircraft carrier - and that IA 58 is not designed for carrier landing - they must have a staging area on U.S. soil. Agent Cooper linguistic capability continues to impress me. Is there any language that she does not speak? Why do they have Andrea Garnett (Fay Masterson) only for half an episode and kill her? Was she not written off already last season? Last but not least, why are the guests in President of Panama's birthday party wearing black tie while the President is wearing white tie?
  20. A year late, waiting for the show to go on Netflix, just to comment on this. It is a bit unfortunate that they show frontal nudity in this episode as even after 20 years, and bearing and rearing a child, Claire's tits are still as perky as in their first night. I mean, the production can do make-up to make faces look older but I guess it is more difficult to manipulate 'that area'. As well, her tummy, waist and hips do not show any sagging or stretch mark at all, just as they were supposedly 20+ years ago.
  21. Moderators, please fix the title of this thread. The episode number is wrong - it is season 6, episode 5 - and there is no air date on the title.
  22. Nobody comments on how a federal agency executive can just point his successor without any selection process and without any outside oversight? Edit because choice of word matters.
  23. Seriously? The same Alicia who could not maintain discipline, chatted on the radio with a stranger and caused the boat to be raided by pirates?
  24. Come on now, the RCAF does not and never does fly the Rafale. The casting is so lazy! Only those from BC, Alberta and Ontario qualify? As well, I think I watched other reality shows where participants were Argo cheerleaders. No other team's worth it? What kind of 'heroes' are Martina and Phil again? This is what I like about The Amazing Race Canada (compared to The Amazing Race), challenging physical task. If an olympian like Mellisa Hollingsworth find it challenging, then it is challenging. Speaking of Mellisa - and Nancy - they really overthink their crabbing task and it costs them their win. Happy and Chewy should have known that 'swimming' on the board can not be more efficient than paddling. "We are literally racing for our lives right now"? Somebody will shoot them in the head if they lose? Ah, it sucks that the pilots get eliminated. What happens? Just traffic?
