I had to stop and think about how long it's been since I watched network news (except for the occasional 60 Minutes). Years and years is all I could come up with - I'm cable news all the way, baby. I do plan on watching a bit of ABC tonight to catch some of what NutMeg is layin' down. I hope the talking heads are working blocks of time during the 9 hours of coverage - so that once I find her she'll be available for awhile. I'm thinking that I won't be disappointed. ;)

His need to be relevant oozes from every pore. He doesn't just want a public career, he desperately needs one. How fortunate for him that there are elections every 2 years. We see playing the I-was-in-Congress-and-let-me-tell-you-about-it card as annoying elevator music but for him it's a very, very important reason for getting out of bed in the morning. During election season he doesn't even need to set an alarm. He eagerly leaps out of bed to tell the world about his wisdom, his experience, his skill, his foresight and Newt, Newt, Newt. Shana Alexander once wrote that, under the robes, the egos of federal judges swell and pulsate like oversized, hugely-veined egglants. Which is an apt description of this bozo as well. He is even more insufferable (which I hadn't thought possible) since publicly bagging Mika. They Have A Plan and they think it's coming together nicely (and SNL agrees. LOL). Except that his music career died on the vine and KYV is clearly not a rousing success. As their former friend would tweet: Sad. Dying here, dying to know how contract negotiations are going. Because I love me some pretentious. Didn't we at one time know that the show ferries them to and from work in a company car with a driver? Wondering, because yesterday he said the taxi driver who brought him to work was pumping him for political wisdom. Was that one of his "people come up to me" humble brags or is their MSNBC chauffeur a thing of the past? Inquiring minds ...

Kim Kardashian Thomas Humphries West

Since Ray J brought it into the news cycle again, check this out. There's a vid on HuffPo and YouTube called Grandmas Watch Kardashian Sex Tape. The comments are graphic and maybe violate community standards here so I edited to remove the link. "What is her problem? She's just layin' there." LOL -
I've watched for years and didn't see or notice this very much until fairly recently. But ITA, when they start laying it on really thick about Love, they're gonna List.

She is the living/breathing definition of poser/poseur.

Ah, yes, senior partner at Barnicle, Robinson, Kornacki, Hunt, Confessore, et al. ;)

Heh, then I better get to workin' on my blue cards. Otherwise how will I get what's in my head out of my mouth?

Yesterday I heard someone say, maybe on Kasie's show, that it wasn't a dog whistle but a klaxon. Ahooooga.

Janelle Brown: Smarter Than Your Average Brown (Maybe)

Today is November 5. Eeyore has a little over 2 weeks to gird her loins for Thanksgiving. Because it's all about food, and we know how she gets about food. :::sigh::: Thanksgiving is also opening day of eating season, which lasts until January 1, so we're really in for it. -
No, they were sitting at the table this morning with Barnicle, Robinson, Kornacki, Hunt, Confessore, et al.

For the love of god shaddup about the polls. Polls. Mean. Next. To. Nothing. (Saw it again, the Stop The Caravan By Voting Republican ad does not have a Trump voice over <--- accuracy).

There's a new monitor where Mika can slyly check her hair and posture, it's quite low and slightly to her right. The checks thus far have had a somewhat subtle flavor; I think she's pleased with its addition and its position. Are they on location somewhere tomorrow morning? Because otherwise that monitor is for the big election show.

Kasie ! appeared sans thunder and lightning. Joey wanted it, Mika said No More because it can't be done, she has moved on, she has outgrown it, "it doesn't fit the election." She's a smooth and graceful wordsmith, that one. He asked for clarification of can't be done (did he think AC/DC issued a cease-and-desist?), Mika said because I decided. No, you didn't, he said. Kasie ! held up a "Z" she scribbled on a piece of paper and that's all we're gonna get, folks. The last time Kasie ! appeared without sound and light was the first morning following John McCain's death. It's the end of an era, and you were there.

As Nelson D. Schwartz wrote in his New York Times article “The Doctor Is In. Co-Pay? $40,000” There's a lot of info at the link but I didn't see that crossing state lines was mentioned. The concept makes sense for those at a certain level of income but I still don't get how the interstate thing works. Surely the traveling doctor provides the target location with all pertinent info re their credentials, malpractice insurance, etc ahead of time for a scheduled procedure, but how does it come together in a timely manner during an emergency? Surely a hospital assumes underlying liability for treatment/procedures done on its premises? First world issues, SMH. https://www.beckershospitalreview.com/quality/the-real-problem-with-concierge-medicine.html

Who is niece Mindy? Someone in Robyn's branch of the fambly? She's in Vegas, whoever she is. -
The incongruity, it entertains. Joey's central riff during the A block is about noodging Trump into reacting to the riff, which he keeps pointing out. Mika says No, we're not here for that. Joey reminds us that he's formerly a Republican and currently a conservative. Mika, keeping her eyes on the prize, says Consistent Republican, consistent. Przybyla and Kornacki spout some numbers, Karins tells us where women will be voting in the rain tomorrow, it goes like that for 25 minutes and then, following that, where I'm at anyway, the very first commercial tells us to Stop The Caravan By Voting Republican (possibly with a Trump voice over, not real sure about that detail, it's way early here).

Heh, when I was reading one of these, too fast as usual, I took Cleveland Cavaliers for Cavallari (as in Kristin). Momentarily I was like "WTF I thought she was married to Jay What's-his-name!" IMO the bold rewrites history. Now, sources say Tristan and Khloe actually met at Kevin Hart and Eniko’s wedding in August 2016. It's said Jordan was WITH Tristan at the wedding and pregnant at the time (she wasn’t quite showing yet). You’ll recall, rumors about Tristan and Khloe dating started popping up in September 2016, so it’s very possible that’s where the two met. Quite shady. We also know Kevin and Eniko are friends with Kanye West and his wife Kim Kardashian West, which may be why Khloe -- who was on a past episode of "Real Husbands of Hollywood -- was at the wedding. http://theybf.com/2016/10/10/tristan-thompson’s-ex-jordan-craig-celebrates-sons-arrival-with-eniko-hart-at-baby-shower Kardashian and the Cleveland Cavaliers player met on a blind date in September 2016. She “didn’t want to go out with Thompson", but was “ambushed” by friends. As Bustle noted, Craig has a connection to the Kardashians other than being Thompson’s ex. That comes in the form of Tyga. Like Kylie Jenner and Blac Chyna, Craig once dated the "Rack City" rapper. Adding to her prominence and further entwining herself in the celebrity world, Craig is reportedly related to Kevin Heart’s wife, Eniko Parrish. Craig aside, Kardashian was elated to announce her pregnancy. https://www.newsweek.com/who-jordan-craig-tristan-thompson-pregnant-ex-girlfriend-756331 Tristan started dating Khloé in September 2016 while Jordan was pregnant with Prince Oliver, and Us Weekly reports that he may have cheated on Jordan with the youngest Kardashian. (Note: Jordan welcomed her baby boy into the world in December 2016.) https://www.cosmopolitan.com/entertainment/celebs/a19743459/tristan-thompson-ex-girlfriend-jordan-craig/

I didn't hear about the doc in time to watch from the beginning (previous plans), didn't want to jump in for the last 2 hours. Gah! I'm definitely on the hunt for future airings. Watched ATPM twice last summer; as well as I think I know the events I find that I notice something new each time I see it.

Heh heh, I always call that the Bronco follow instead of the Bronco chase. And, because I have no shame, I can remember exactly where I was, who I was with and what I was doing. (Painting my granddaughter's bedroom). IA about seeing Scott Wilson. Perhaps the best and most meaningful part of tonight's ep.

JDM was so damn good, so believable, as Denny in 21, count 'em, 21 episodes of Grey's Anatomy in seasons 2, 3 and 5/2005-2008; also as William in the 2007 film PS I Love You with Hillary Swank. He's definitely capable of bringing it when he's in something with decent writing. 'nough said.

Or maybe it's just shitty writing.

I couldn't/didn't watch the ep when Carl died, the week prior to that was my last for awhile. This week and last week were the first I've watched since then and now I'm done until Maggie's last ep. After that I'll go back to my mainstay of watching the first (five?) seasons because they are never not enjoyable. I surely will not be paying to plunk my ass down in a movie theater. No sirree, uh uh, nope. I refuse to subsidize Gimple's retirement fund by doing that or by purchasing the boxed set. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me numerous times, shame on me.
-
I would be much interested in hearing the exact working of his reply if he was asked to appear/approached about appearing in this particular ep.
