  1. Yiddish is da bomb. Gets the point across masterfully while pleasing the speaker's tongue. In my best USMC DI voice: Sounds good. Tastes good.
  2. The naked body cast lends a certain ambiance. Is that the chatelaine herself? Maybe a couple boob jobs ago? But the arms are hefty. Hard to say.
  3. Understatement. Meri, honey, that hashtag's just not into you.
  4. Everything about that last photo sucks, from the Civil War cap to the shagnasty boots!
  5. Plus, she is someone who, for how many years, lived in the Mojave Dessert. (<--- no)
  6. Oh, man, that is perfect! I grew up listening to the Bickersons because the parents loved that album. These two mutts managed some lighthearted bickering occasionally, and it's a shame that Joey put an end to it by deciding that correcting her and snarling at her was a better fit.
  7. Waaaait a minute here. MM is tiny? The same size as Sunny and Ahbby? When did this happen? If she loses 30 pounds by standing up then she should stand more often.
  8. Plausible deniability. Although, from a lot of reading, Poppy was much more devious, cunning and sly than has ever been widely acknowledged. The "golly gee whiz" was a convenient facade that served him well. Rachel isn't the only one presenting this particular story but she is very often a lone voice who sends me in search of more knowledge, more background. Beschloss, for example, has some of his best conversations with her.
  9. I mean, really. If you showed photos (or, better yet, walking, talking videos) of the wives to 1000 people and asked Which One Is The Health Coach how many would choose Janelle? I can't decide if it's self-delusion or conscious grift. Did Kody decree that wives would get side lines or was it caused by peer pressure? (Beginning with the joory). Of all the wives she is the one who for many years functioned in the real world. I think I have a pretty good handle on the others (including Kody) but she is the one who puzzles me. She makes me feel like an elementary school teacher: "Janelle follows rules and shows respect; knows the material but does not turn in assignments; does not achieve to her potential and seems satisfied with that."
  10. If I had one of those pillows it would quote Alice Roosevelt Longworth's pillow: IF YOU CAN’T SAY SOMETHING GOOD ABOUT SOMEONE, SIT RIGHT HERE BY ME. That inspired me when I was young and I've always tried to live up to her example. ;-)
  11. Not an OB either but many years ago I read the coolest book by an old school midwife who delivered an ungodly number of babies, maybe a couple thousand, and she had very, very few breech deliveries. Prior to labor, her breech moms got on hands and knees on the floor and slowly gradually went chin down to the floor as far as possible with ass in the air and the babies turned themselves. This was before the internet so I don't know how her method was generally perceived. It icks me out that Tori got pregnant 4 weeks after delivering. I always suspected that a sex addiction explained these two and that pretty much convinced me. I mean, have at it, but jeez, we can count so cut us a little slack. Keep that shit to yourselves.
  12. That looks like some relaxed and happy body language, like it's genuine and not a fake out. She's leaning into him and he looks OK with it. But, gah, their desert rat hair!
  13. FFS, a photo of her taking a photo of herself. Someone needs to trip her to the Hall of Mirrors in the Palace of Versailles. Then she could build one in her home and live happily ever after.
  14. I'm doing a graveyard cake for my nephew's littles this year. Chocolate cake, white frosting for snow, dig a grave, mound crumbled Oreos for the "dirt" dug out for the mini coffin from the dollar store, skeletons lounging around, wafers for head stones, pretzel sticks for a fence. $10-12 tops, right?
  15. Want in one hand, shit in the other and see which one fills up first.
  16. Fingers. Dead fingers. The almonds are the fingernails. Ewww.
  17. I knew it existed but had the impression that it was limited and somewhat random. Certainly not the extensive and concerted thing that is being revealed. Rachel is to be much admired for the way she does her job: public service in action!
  18. Another way of saying it is that politics is about the allocation of resources, deciding who gets what and how much, and whether some can be denied resources altogether. That's why MM enjoys politics. She's got hers, the people she cares about got theirs and everyone else can go fuck themselves. She is a spoiled, self-satisfied, mean-spirited hag. Other than that she doesn't bother me too much.
  19. An apprentice program or at least intensive cross-training oughta be ZA 101. I've often wondered why we don't see that but I guess it's too logical/gets in the way of plot points. Every job I've ever had, I figured it was my job to train someone to take my job. (Whenever it was legal/permissible, of course.) I've never thought it was good to hoard knowledge.
  20. re Michael Cohen: " ... that whole mishegas ..." I wish there was a way to correlate google searches relating to something Rachel says. I think the results would be quite impressive.
  21. 50% comes from mother, 50% comes from father, there's a bit of variation there but not a lot. Most commonly, the same 50% is not found in full bio siblings but there's a lot of overlap. Example: 60% of your 50% from your dad matches what your sister/brother got from him so you match there, but 40% of your 50% from your dad comes from other people in his family tree and that's where the DNA that doesn't match in full siblings comes from. It's like there's an orchard where some people get oranges, apples and plums and some get oranges, apples, cherries, tangerines and pears - but they are still full bio siblings.
  22. Rick to Aaron: "I'm so sorry this happened to you." That's what he said in the first episode to the female half-a-walker who was dragging what was left of her body across the ground. I've always remembered him saying that. Maggie is a marble mouth sometimes, so when she was talking with Michonne on the deck it sounded to me like she called her Richonne. Cool overhead view of Daryl taking out two walkers at once, left and right.
  23. Sorta makes ya wonder what typical conversation is like in the West-Kardashian household.
  24. I cringe when I see those. They evoke Mammy/Aunt Jemima. Is her mother ignorant of some pretty basic stuff or does she just not care?
