So did those girls Smurf brought over for Pope know they were being pimped out? (Edit: apparently so.) Did Pope know Smurf put a hooker on him to take his virginity? Ugh. Ditto comments upthread, the shady detective has to know Pope's confession won't hold up in court. Is she going to hurry up and raid Craig's and the Cody house before things get that far? Still, whatever incriminating evidence she finds would also likely be thrown out in court. Did J even know whether Penny's sister was really in the hospital? I think the whole thing could've been a scam to distract him from Pope's situation. I continue to think she's working J to kill her husband and it looks like he'd be down to do it. Knowing J though he'd figure out a way to make it look like self-defense. Well the young guys over on reddit do seem to salivate over her. I guess the producers are mainly writing for them now.

Yep, there are video clips of BM Billy and Victoria's wedding on YouTube, and you can see brief shots of the houses across the street. The neighborhood looked like the ones in Desperate Housewives. Also, I can recall at least one reference to Johnny and Katie going trick-or-treating on their street. It didn't sound like they were out in the sticks. I think the only residences which are supposed to be outside of town are the Newman Ranch and Sharon's house. -
Does Monte even know Taylor was in sorority and which one? Why did Nicole think he did? I read that Taylor and Paloma were both in Apha Phi sorority, which is not one of the nine Black Greek organizations. Nicole may have overheard "Alpha Phi" sorority and assumed it was connected to "Alpha Phi Alpha" fraternity. Somehow she seems to know Alpha Phi Alpha has a sister sorority but she identified the wrong one. What she doesn't seem to know is that Alpha Phi Alpha's sister sorority (AKA) is not also referred to as "Alpha." I wouldn't necessarily call it racist on her part, but perhaps more like bad deductive reasoning plus a side order of paranoia.

Sharon closes her business simply because Nick needs to talk, right now, at her coffeehouse. Priorities: she haz dem. I liked her dress though. Devon said Billy was one of the smartest guys he knows. He doesn't know a lot a guys, apparently. Wonder why he assumed Nate was trying to badmouth Billy? Nate was being awfully accommodating toward Devon today. Was he sincere or shining Devon on? I don't know what would've happened overnight to make his attitude change so dramatically. Perhaps Imani is the Nate Whisperer. Yikes, Abby's dress didn't look very comfortable to me. It was as if there were levers and pulleys underneath to hold the bodice up and push the puffy sleeves down. After a snooty bad start, Victoria began spilling the Ashland inside story to Billy. Guess she forgot he fancies himself an investigative journalist. And now Billy gets to feel like a hero since he had given Nick a heads-up about Ashland's state of mind. He saved Victoria's life! Tongue bath time! ๐ The good old conveniently erased security footage plot point. Yawn. Elena and Nate in matching colors. Ehhh, I don't like that. But dang if Elena didn't zero right in on the sketchiness Imani's been up to with Nate. Bovine excrement is about to collide with the portable air cooling device. Kevin was actually out running around doing detective stuff on location. Please, he's a law enforcement database analyst. Footwork isn't within his purview, Chance. Poor Nick having to stand next to Billy in their double-breasted suits. Billy always has the Abbott mens' GQ-esque polish, but I think Nick looked like he was playing dress-up in clothes made for someone else. Odd interaction between Billy and Abby, particularly the way he tried to put her on the spot about Chance's investigation. Was he showing off for Chelsea? ๐ If only Victor had kept his scheming yap shut and not clued Nick in. Now Nick and Victoria are getting all this agita because he's made them unwitting accomplices in a crime cover-up. Plus Nick has told at least a couple of other people so the web is getting bigger. Avocado toast. Is that still a thing? ๐คข Re the previews for next week: Adam at Jabot. With Phyllis and Diane. Aw yiss, give me all that guaranteed messiness. Shoot it right into my veins, baby! No but what Nick did was definitely manslaughter. Murder is just quicker to type or say, lol. -

Watched live today, commercials and all. ๐ฅด Victor couldn't care less that one of his kids is lowkey struggling due to the Ashland drama. Or two kids if you count Adam. Well, as long as Vic's favorite daughter is okay! ๐ Wait, it's still the same day? Whhhyyy? I just noticed Society has a unisex bathroom. Yeah, Diane. What are you doing at the Abbott front door--uninvited--again? Jack gave her an inch and now she's taking the whole dang mile. He might as well let her move in at this point, and then watch Ashley's head explode. Seriously, Diane? You could've bought over those books for Harrison tomorrow. The poor kid was probably asleep anyway. So was Nick testing Sally with that non-public info about Ashland's death? Good thing she aced it I guess but Nick might be setting her up. Diane turning on the waterworks for Jack. This broad. If nothing else she's a good actress because Jack is buying her humble schtick retail with a 100% mark-up. Hey, was Sally trying to make Adam jealous by mentioning Nick? Oh girl, there's a whole lot of fetid water flowing under that bridge. For example, ask Nick about his son Christian. Then ask Adam. Nuanced? Pshht. Phyllis couldn't grasp nuance if it attached itself to her face. Ashley's instincts are correct: sending human hand grenade Phyllis into Marchetti to execute some on-the-job scheme against Diane promises to be a disaster. Adam and Sally as frenemies. I like it. Bring on the hate sex! Whoa, I did not expect Victor to come clean with Nick about Ashland's fake car accident. Hope he's ready for legal trouble because Nick will confess to somebody, likely Chance or Sally. He can't handle the truth! -
Okay, that could be good but didn't they already do pretty much the same storyline with Chance coming back? Whatever, it kind of jibes with speculation I read elsewhere that he would be Chance's new partner. Chance can't be the only detective in town, especially since so much of the crime is committed by his in-laws, lol.

0MG, I need resuscitation over here. According to Worn on TV that horrific dress Phyllis currently is busting out of was designed by someone named Elisabetta Franchi. Based on a shallow dive into the googles, I think Franchi is the prototype for the fictional Angelina Marchetti. Her company seems to be doing fine though and hasn't been bought out by an Upper Midwestern US cosmetics business. A number of Y&R women have worn Franchi's clothes, primarily Phyllis and Lily. Most of the outfits haven't been awful, except for this one: -

The national press are swarming GC for info on Ashland's death. So of course Sharon and Nick were discussing the possibly fatal punch Nick delivered to Ashland, in a public park where anyone could overhear them. ๐ Nate, you don't have to worry about looking like you have terrible judgment. You have terrible judgment. TERRIBLE JUDGMENT should be tattooed on your forehead. Wonder if Lily and Billy are taking a meeting with $Bill Spencer while they're out in L.A.? He's a West coast media giant C-W could do business with, tee hee. And he must be very interested in the Jabot & Marchetti deal. So Harrison is Ashland's heir apparent. Guess that makes him richer than Kyle. Probably richer than all the Abbotts. Ugh, can Phyllis not go even five minutes without mentioning Diane? Sally, Sally, Sally. Don't bite the hand that feeds you, hon. Spilling your employer's dirt is not the way you want to go, especially if they're Newmans. OMG, Nate. Are your boxer briefs too tight? I know Devon is kinda coming at you sideways but your being so defensive just gives him more energy. Man up. BTWs, the photo of Nate being used in the mid-episode interstitials looks Photoshopped AF to me. His head is too big and it's like it's pasted on yay. What's that all about? Devon, just have your staff talk to Nate's so you don't have to keep provoking him directly. All this d!ck-swinging between you two is getting tiresome.๐คฌ Phyllis is still straight up lying to Summer about why she wants a job at Marchetti. She's horrible and I do not see why Summer is amused by it. Ashley sent a text referencing "operation take down Diane." Hmmm. Maybe the three anti-Diane harpies should be using acronyms so what they're doing is slightly less obvious? A soon as Imani called, Nate left the coffee he bought for Elena sitting on counter with the lid off. So not only will Elena's hot drink be cold, it'll be full of whatever germs are floating around in the coffeehouse. Grrr. -
I don't think it was intended to be a misdirect. Francesca likely would've wanted part the money in small bills since that would be easier to spend. I wish I could remember where I read the comment because someone posted a closeup of three stacks of bills. At least one of them was mostly small amounts.
-
Really? I read elsewhere that it was mostly $1 bills since $100 bills would be harder to spend. For example, a lot of convenience stores and gas stations won't take bills over $20, or $50 tops.

Arriving late to the party... I should think there'd be relatively few humans who would know what a skunk's butthole smells like. Cute turn of phrase though. When were phone booths ever made of glass? That seemed unnecessarily unsafe. People don't know not to drink from water bottles which have already been opened? Ew. (Or did I miss how Gene and his crew were able to reseal them after the knockout drug was put into them?) Mike seriously underestimated Heisenberg, lol. Betamax may have been a misstep for Sony but they soon ruled the consumer electronics world. It was a relatively minor hiccup.

Good news: Sally got to change clothes. Bad news: Sally apparently got dressed in the dark. What was that flashback to the 1990s she had on? At least the colors matched. Newman Media must not have very good sources out in key places like the GCPD or the city morgue. Sally should've already heard about Ashland. I mean, the entire Abbott family knows so it must be public by now. Why was Adam lurking around in Society like he was trying to sneak in after curfew? Surely he didn't think Victor didn't notice him. Plus, you'd think whoever manages Society wouldn't allow people to stand around spying on their paying customers. Whee, Kevin is an assistant detective now. ๐ I don't hate it though since he and Chance have good chemistry. "That fantasy role playing game." Lol, which one, Chance? You have to be more specific. YR did their homework it seems. The immersive art gallery via augmented reality thing Noah was pitching to Victor is all the rage right now. My tourist destination town is sprouting them like weeds. But does it work in a club environment though? Wow, Victor basically told Noah to go take a flying leap with his futuristic nightclub idea. Noah should go make a deal with Jabot or C-W to use one of their properties. Victor would lose his cool. Allie, sweetums, you need to stay off the pro-Phyllis track. Noah grew up with her messy b.s. and its effect on his family. It's inviting trouble for him to make her his landlord. Noah, maybe Grandpa Vic didn't mention Ashland's death to you because he thinks so little of you. After all, you're only one of his first grandchildren. You ain't so special. ๐ I love the way Chance looks at Nick like, "Nick Newman, you ARE the weakest link!" Problem is, Nick doesn't know what he doesn't know. Allie being smirky and dismissive about Victor's dangerous history wrt the Abbotts might change if someone told her about the Marco scheme. Particularly how both Jack and Phyllis got sexually assaulted after Jack was kidnapped to a foreign country and replaced by a doppelganger. I don't like the Allie character being used to whitewash Victor's past. Ehh, Adam, you need to have your facts 110% straight before you try to pin Ashland's death on daddy. BTWs, did you get your ears lowered? Even with his mouth full of marbles, Marlon Brando as Don Corleone spoke more clearly than Victor. But dang if they aren't trying to turn Victor into some kind of Godfather character now. Nick is definitely Fredo, ha ha. -

Right? I couldn't understand why he did that given how he had just finished a major welcome home boudoir session with Elena. He better not be teasing Imani because I don't think she's the type to let that pass without some payback. And there's the problem calling every random person a COO. With this show that seems to mean the writers can have the character do whatever fulfills a plot line. IMO Nate doesn't need a mentor, he needs a well-defined job description. Lily thought throwing all the family members together would create magical synergy divined by Neil and Kay but reality is beginning to rear its ugly head. I think it's becoming a matter of who's gonna take their ball and go home first, Devon or Nate. -

Jack said Diane has a real touch communicating with little ones. Since when? A sample size of one kid is hardly evidence of a pattern. Meh, Amanda wasn't exactly looking like a corporate attorney with her perky boobies on display. I thought her dress was a great color for her but otherwise, yikes. Tessa seemed to have been doing a wee bit of social distancing around Faith at the coffehouse. Hmm. What a sad, empty life Phyllis must have. When she's not obsessing about Diane, she's going on and on and on about Jack. Maybe she should get a pet, like a tarantula or an anaconda. ๐ It's still so weird how much of Amanda's storyline takes place off-screen. Well helllooo, Nate. How you doin'? The doctor is in, baby! Poor Summer, having to listen to Phyllis' daily whining about Jack and Diane. It's like a second job and she's not even getting paid unless you count the free coffee drinks. Loved the expressive faces Tessa was making since she couldn't talk after her throat operation. Oh, Diane, you need to stop poking the bear--or whatever kind of feral beast Phyllis is. Nothing good comes of it. Though I think in this case perhaps Diane was betting on Jack showing up just as Phyllis was about to combust. Sigh, Jack is like a living Ken doll sometimes, a simple toy for two manipulative women to use for their amusement. Nate, there's this office concept you need to familiarize yourself with: CYA. Document everything, especially when a given situation involves Devon. If you had cc'd him on the stuff you were working on, there would've been less opportunity for mistakes. That is unless Devon decided to claim he wasn't checking on work stuff while he was out of town with Amanda. IMO Phyllis did have a small point about Jack not calling Diane out on her continued provoking of Phyllis. But OTOH, Phyllis is a grown-a$$ woman and it's not Jack's job to protect her from Diane's behavior. Phyllis has this goofy notion that she and Jack are still a couple despite his repeatedly telling her they are not. What was that thing Elena put on Nate's pillow? Also known as the Rey Rosales, See Ya, Wouldn't Wanna Be Ya Exit. ๐ -
Is it really possible for POTUS to go off the radar like that? Unless it was a national security issue to keep the POTUS' current location a secret, I don't see how Ellen could get away with what she did. If word does get out, she'll have to wonder whether it was Larry or the Secret Service who leaked it. (Could be one of Pam's neighbors too if they noticed the presidential limo in front of her house.) For what purpose would someone take anabolic steroids? Was Ed just trying to counter the effects of aging? Not sure they should've let Kelly go with the search party. If something else went wrong it'd have been hard for Karen to lose both her daughter and her ex-husband. And Danny. And her Martian grandbaby. Karen comforting Danny's wife was a little weird to watch though it did harken back to when she was an astronaut wife waiting for news. Sure hope Amber never finds out about Danny and Karen. She's the only decent person in that messy bunch. Dev roused the geniuses! Danny provoking Ed with bad memories of his son was not the way I expected that moment to go. I guess he was trying to keep Ed awake for as long as possible. Was anyone thinking a baby xenomorph might bust out of Alexei's chest? No?Just me then. ๐ Danny turned into a confessing fool once he was looking death in face. He was saved by the bomb in more ways than one. I wonder if Ed would've found the strength to kill Danny before their air ran out, lol.

A governance of elitist fools...Blunt and maladroit...The quality of mercy is mightiest in the mightiest...The illegal bestowment of such largesse... Wow what a lot of high-toned dialogue in this episode. Does rum really keep hundreds of years? Bleh, I wouldn't drink it. Bortus could not access the interior meat. I hate when that happens. Ted Danson, no! And then The Orville went Star Wars meets Top Gun. Pew! Pew! Bye, Charley. Better luck in the next timeline. ๐ I don't know but when I realized Charley was truly being killed off, my immediate thought went to something a character once said on The Expanse after coworker and occasional bedmate fiercely chewed him out: "Did that mean we're not fcuking anymore?" ๐

Deran, beware of barbacks bearing gifts, or quick, unnecessary thieving jobs. I still think J's married girlfriend Penny is setting him up to take out her husband. Didn't take long for Pope to figure out skater boi Tyler was problematic. And then it didn't take long for the kid to give up Det. Thompson. She was either extremely overconfident or she wanted Pope to come after her. Door locks exist for a reason. Whatever, yeah, Smurf knew what she doing, well enough to make it seem like an accident that Andrew walked in on Julia and Baz. These guys walking around in broad daylight in masks and gloves. Pre-pandemic that was going to be a huge red flag. Also, Deran's vehicle can probably be traced back to him. Something was weird about that dentist office job. Was one set of the boxes a decoy or was Tommy just too eager? Or better yet, is Tommy a cop or an informant? What are the odds a tow truck will happen to be right behind you when your car stops running on the freeway? And just like that Craig's life is chaos again because of his druggy baby mama. Renn's erratic behavior is probably going to get him arrested and Nick in foster care--or worse. Whoa, Pope's read on that detective situation was completely wrong. If only all she wanted was money. I just don't get why Smurf was so determined to break up Baz and Julia. Jealousy?

Yeah that was weird. Adam spoke to this person twice and both times I replayed the moment a couple of times to make sure I'd heard it right. The close captioning said "Paula" so I think either the audience (and DD) were being trolled or MG simply didn't enunciate the final syllable clearly enough. He sure does. I couldn't figure out if the suit didn't fit or he was just being fidgety. Hopefully he'll be so upset about the Ashland thing that he'll soon decide the corporate life isn't for him any more. Or as COO he'll decide Casual Friday is every day now so no more suits! -

Whoo, Chance giving Nick that narrow-eyed stare like, "Do you Newmans ever stop lying?" Kyle spoke of Tara Locke in passing as if she's dead too. And now they're referring to Summer as Harrison's mother instead of his stepmother. Given that Harrison has a mother who is only in prison and not in a grave, that's some b.s. IMO. Why do the Abbotts fail so hard at this stuff? Y&R must've gotten a good deal on men's casual shirts. Chance, Kyle, and Adam were all looking like they were on vacation today. I thought Mariah's hair looked glorious. Sharon stays being messy. She should not have told Adam what Sally had confided in her. Why is she all up in their business, acting like she's giving them free couples counseling? AFAIC, as Adam's ex, Sharon is making mockery of her professional ethics. So Johnny and Katie are back from camp. Sure hope Victoria's had a chance to get the house cleaned up after their uncle turned it into a murder scene. โ ๐ Diane drops in at the Abbott manse whenever she wants now. Bet Jack's soon gonna wish he'd nipped her unannounced visits in the bud before she became more and more emboldened. Lol, Harrison just found out Father ain't coming back ever and DeeDee is actually his grandmother. How is the kid's head not exploding? Guess they'll have to let him eat a whole tray of brownies for dinner, lol. Poor Harrison is going to need so much therapy. With all the parental upheavals he's had in his young life, he may turn out to be troubled with a capital T. He'll make Connor look like an altar boy. "And why didn't you a-holes ever cut my hair? Had me out here looking like Fabio Jr. I hate all of you except Mrs. Martinez!" ๐ Re the previews for next week: hey, it's Kevin. I thought he was busy camping it up over in Salem, ha ha. (Seriously, GR's wardrobe on DAYS is amazing. He must have so much fun with his flamboyant role over there.) Yeah, Chance is one of the few characters who looks as good leaving a scene as he does entering it. ๐ -

Okay, why is it that Phyllis, Victoria, and Chloe have been allowed to change clothes but Sally is STILL in that green dress? ๐คจ Well I have to say Phyllis looked good in her black slacks and top with no saggy boobs in sight. I wonder though what it must feel like sitting on sequins or beads or whatever those things were on her pants. Wow, real talk from Nick to Sally about Adam. Too bad she wasn't ready to hear it. Phyllis told Summer the Guava Punctuation was a well-oiled machine. Sure, by cheap corn oil that's been sitting in the sun all day in a plastic tub which doubles as a litter box. The only time that place runs smoothly is when Phyllis is out of town and Crystal is in charge. ๐ Chloe has the patience of a saint. First she had to deal with crazypants Chelsea bouncing off the walls, and now she has to talk Sally down from the ceiling. Phew. Summer saw through Phyllis right away on the Marchetti thing but then Phyllis just ramped up the lies. What an awful mother Phyllis is. She'll use her own daughter to get revenge on Diane. Chance seemed to realize that Victor and Nick were backing up each other's version of what happened with Ashland, and that he might not be getting the whole truth. However, I continue to wonder why he doesn't interview them separately. At what point is Victor going to tell Nick that his goons got rid of Ashland? I could see him holding this over Nick's head indefinitely to keep him in line. No good deed go unpunished by daddy Vic. Heh, Chloe better hope Adam doesn't stop by Sally's office again or all her hard work straightening Sally out this evening will have been for naught. Wonder if anyone will bother to let Tara know Ashland is dead. She might want to comfort her son. -

O hail nah. ๐ Not unless my girl Sally is drunk or she finds out Adam has just slept with somebody else. If she deliberately has sex with Nick, AFAIC that will nullify everything she's said to Adam about loving him. And Nick would be pathetic for taking Adam's sloppy seconds. Let him go sniff around Sharon or Chelsea, and let Sally get back to work. She's got 90 days to prove she deserves and can do her job. Yeah, they act like she's come kind of delicate flower who somehow manages to pull it together enough to run an international conglomerate. I'm starting to think Victor's overprotective treatment of Victoria is because on some level he knows the bad example he set in his relationship with Nikki and other women is likely a big part of the reason why Victoria keeps getting in these messed up pairings. IMO Victoria needs professional help, not portraits of herself or the keys to the Newman castle. Real help, not Sharon's discount version over a cup of coffee.
