  1. Oh yeah, was that when she left Christian, a baby, on Victoria's doorstep? Good lord, it's a wonder they let Chelsea be around any kids at all. Guess Connor is lowkey psycho enough to fend for himself when he's with her. Right? Billy almost pulled that boner move the day of the C-W launch party when he gave Lily a gift in a ring-sized box. She handled it well but geez, he's so thoughtless.
  2. Really, Victoria? People show up at your office unannounced all the time. But I agree Chelsea was kind of rude dropping in at what appears to be after office hours. Those two aren't friendly like that. Abby said she had to go pick up Dominic from Devon. In this one GC day, Devon has climbed up Nate's hiney, then gotten his face cracked by Lily, then gone back and jumped on Nate again. When did Devon have time to spend with Dominic? Wow, Chelsea seriously wants to get to Johnny if she went to plead her case to Ice Queen Victoria. Does she need one of his kidneys or something? I think Abby was out of line asking Chance to drop the Ashland investigation because it's upsetting her family. Half the time the Newmans barely give her the time of day but now they're all up on her to get Chance off their backs. She's clueless. Nate, it's fine for you to have ideas of your own. It's just not always okay for you to act on them before running them past the bosses. Even when you were chief of surgery you had someone you had to answer to. Get over yourself. And then Abby tried to play the Dominic card with Chance. Gurrrrl. You should've known better. ๐Ÿ˜’ Nate: look, cuz, I won't bow down to your obsessive need to control me. What are you gonna do, punch me again? Devon: naw, man, but I'm thisclose to putting a hurt on your COO salary. Like reduce it to zero. How ya like them apples? Nate: how old are you, 97? Devon: grrr. Gift-wrapped replacement airpods. Gee, Billy, you're such a romantic. Maybe the next time you can buy Lily a 10-speed blender. ๐Ÿ™„ Lol, Chance has Victoria's number but she sure was trying hard to work him. Again. I'm just waiting for her to flip out and yell at Chance, "Yes Ashland deserved to die and I hope he burns in hell!" Moral quandary. Please. Abby, the only person in a moral quandary is you. Maybe you should go talk to your Uncle Jack about it. (Because mommy Ashley always sides with Victor regardless.) Good grief, Ashland is dead and Victoria is still making decisions to keep her kids locked away in boarding school because of him. I think one day they're going to resent her for it. And Billy too. Kevin, Victor's probably had all of his crack security team members killed and their hands cut off. Absent clear undeniable evidence, or a confession, you and Chance are probably aced out on the Ashland investigation. Up until today I thought Chelsea and Victoria knew Christian was Adam's kid. So I don't know why neither of them mentioned him as another reason Connor isn't an only child. Wonder why Chelsea isn't putting pressure on Nick to tell Connor and Christian the truth if she's so desperate for Connor to have a sibling he's aware of?
  3. Hey, Jack's sitting in the Jabot CEO office! Long time no see. The low rent Duke and Duchess of Sussex canoodling in the background behind Summer and Kyle were cracking me up. Like those two IRL would be hanging out in some sleepy Upper Midwestern burg. Why did Nikki summon Phyllis out to the ranch just to ask her for a status report on Project Destroy Diane? Seems to me they could've touched base over the phone. ๐Ÿค” Lol, did you forget who you're talking to, Elena? Devon is the guy you cheated on to get with Nate. Do you really think he wants to chat about your and Nate's relationship problems? Ehh, Nate everything you've done at C-W has also been about personal aggrandizement. You stay wanting to look the most bad@$$ COO ever. Admit it. Apparently Diane has never had an office job before. She might be easy pickins at work regardless of whatever Phyllis does. Especially if most of her coworkers are a lot younger than her. The new investigative reporter Talia was looking at Phyllis like, "Huh, maybe the real story is with this one instead of Diane. She's spinning like a top in a tornado over here." Whee, Lily punted Devon through the goalposts of his ego. Buh, buh, buh, busted Devon! You're still holding a grudge against Nate. Admit it. Poor Elena. Clown to the left of her, joker to the right. There she is, stuck in the middle of Nate and Devon's mess again. Summer, stay outta grown folks' business. You don't want to know what your grandma and your mommy are up to. The life you save may be your own. I think the problem is how Nate keeps making huge decisions outside of his purview. His job parameters don't appear to be sufficiently defined. But Lily's handling it like a popularity contest IMO, and can't be objective enough to fix the problem.
  4. Ugh, I just can't stand to see Billy and Chelsea being chummy, especially now that he knows her agenda wrt Johnny. Was that a wee chem test between Chance and Sally? Sigh, so much pretty. Too bad he's happily married...for now. Sally, Sally, Sally. Stop whining about Adam to anyone who'll listen. It's not a good look for an up and coming CEO, in a town where most people aren't trying to show you any sympathy over anything. Is Chelsea lowkey trying to come between Billy and Lily? Shady biatch. For once I think Nick was right. The Newmans should avail themselves of a crisis PR firm before Victor stonewalls them all right into jail. Anyone seen Olivia Pope lately? ๐Ÿ˜ Nick said Newman Media has a reputation for journalistic integrity. Lol, since when? Adam was mainly using it as a digital slam book against foes. Maybe its rep will improve now that Sally's in charge and isn't using NM to settle old scores. Interesting game of chicken between Adam and Sally. Fella, have you met Sally? She sees you coming down Broadway with your little Jedi mind tricks. Whoa, was Noah trying to step to Grandpa Vic over the Ashland thing? Hope he has a GPS app on his phone because he is veering way out of his lane. Maybe he's concerned about his father being implicated in Victor's cover-up but does he even know about that yet? I don't know how were Victoria and Nate ever couple. Especially since she was engaged to his Uncle Neil back in the day when Nate had to have still been a little boy--if he was even born yet. So weird. ๐Ÿ˜’ So Nick is in charge of Sally now? That doesn't bode well IMO. Aww, Lily, looks like your C-W family legacy fantasy is blowing up in your face. You can't make Nate qualified for a job you gave him just for being your cousin. Nepotism not for the win, hon. Chance getting all hot and bothered in Adam's face. Ehhh. Bigger fish need fryin', Chance.
  5. Blue Bell mint chocolate chip. Yuck. I said what I said. ๐Ÿคฎ "So you were always like this?" Yeah, pretty much. Pretty much the theme for the entire series. That ending was kind of a let down for me. It didn't hit me the way BB's ending did. But I guess aging and eventually dying in prison is the least Jimmy could do short of getting murdered. And he'll probably be able to help other prisoners with legal stuff. What's the problem with Vince Gilligan? IMO he's The Auteur of television right now, until someone even better comes along.
  6. Victor. What you call self-righteous indignation, anyone else would call a normal sense of fear. And a desire not to go to jail for a crime you chose to implicate them in. Look at Nick showing off his mad business negotiation skillz for daddy. ๐Ÿ™„ Mariah is Diane's boss now. Oh boy. She better ask for combat pay in addition to her salary as head of marketing and PR. OMG, how many lies can Phyllis throw at Summer at one time? I was starting to get dizzy just listening to her. Wonder if Faith is going to have a roommate at college? She sure is planning to bring a lot of stuff for her dorm room. You'd think Grandpa Vic would buy her a condo instead of letting his favorite grandchild live with the poors for four years. I don't understand why Chance keeps showing/telling Victor all his evidence. That just gives Victor the opportunity to come up with more excuses and false explanations. Stitch, pshht. What about the time Abby almost committed vehicular homicide on Tucker? Didn't Victor help cover it up? Maybe Chance doesn't know about his own wife's rap sheet. Somehow I doubt Tessa modeling for Marchetti is going to increase her fan base. There's probably not a lot of intersection between the types of customers. Sharon pulled that one out of her hat I think. Tessa likes pomegranate ice cream. Hmm. Maybe I'd try that flavor if it was mixed with chocolate. ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿจ Geez, what is Chance is trying to prove to Victor? Either arrest him or leave him alone, Chance. This is stupid. Ooh, Victor's crack security team is in big trouble! No more crack smoking breaks for them. ๐Ÿ˜
  7. Manjaw is Chelsea. I think some viewers on AMC used to call MCE's character that too. ๐Ÿ˜ผ SORASed Moses was a good idea on paper IMO but the actor wasn't up to the task. Plus, he and the actress playing SORASed Faith had the opposite of chemistry. Their relationship was never believable to me, especially the way everyone was okay with it. I think there should've been at least one person who wasn't buying how perfect it seemed that Winters scion was paired with a Newman heir.
  8. Still, what are the odds he'd be immediately conversant in Korean again, 40 years later? I think Ed needs to be wearing a leotard and cape because he has superhero powers.
  9. Liked the updated opening credits. No matter where you go, there you are? Heh, look at 50 quoting Confucius. He better not be bringing that Tariq-ish crap over here though. ๐Ÿ˜’ Gotta admire how Howard commits to an act. After all this time no one suspects he does indeed remember who shot him. Lou just found his Rihanna. (Or whoever was the 90s version of Rihanna. Mya? Aaliyah?) Well that's quite a trap operation Raq has set up in that building. Got rooms for the users to indulge on site, and it sounded like there was some prostitution going on too. Scrappy betting on MacDonald's fries. He does have it bad. Famous telling his sister the hard truth. She knows it too, that it looks like her cooch is cost of doing business with Lou. Apparently it's value was overrated. Howard stalking Kanan is a bad idea. If Raq finds out she won't let him escape another hit. Was the cold shoulder look a thing in the 90s? I don't remember tops like the ones Raq was wearing. Wait, what? Did we know Scrappy was an informant? Symphony looked like he's lost a lot of weight. Hope the actor is okay. Watch Famous try to do a collabo with Zisa. (BTWs, according to Wikipedia the actress is half-Ukrainian. Then one scene had Kanan wearing a jacket in the colors of the Ukrainian flag. Heh, look at 50 doing some timely virtue-signaling.) Juke looked at Zisa like she's what's for dinner and dessert. She better hope Zisa swings her way. And that Uncle Lou doesn't get in there first. Glad this show is back. It's my favorite book next to Tommy's. I think he wanted word to get out that being locked up hadn't softened him. He's still ready to bust some heads if necessary.
  10. That poor NK guy. Crash landed alone on Mars and unable to communicate with Earth. Running out of food and out of sanity. Wonder why NK didn't let it be known he was up there? Guess they figured he didn't survive the landing. Regardless, seems odd they wouldn't grab the credit for putting the first people on Mars. Lol, apparently Dev knew his people didn't have non-compete clauses when he tried to get them to leave Helios with him. But he didn't count on them being more mercenary than loyal. Ed remembers how to speak Korean. Because of course he does. Good grief, Jimmy finally realized he was being used by those conspiracy theory a-holes but he got it about 15 seconds too late. What a fool. Hopefully the voicemail he left for Amber will come back to bite him. Margo got her applause from the NASA team before the sh!t hit the fan for both her and Sergei. Soon the NASA people would've been hating her guts for giving their hard work to the Russians. I can't with what they did to get Kelly back up to the Phoenix. That was some real Star Trek b.s. IMO. But at least she and the baby survived. So Margo escaped having her reputation destroyed before she "died," assuming the FBI would quietly close the case on her since it'd be assumed she did not survive the explosion. And Sergei and his family got a happy surburban life as The Americans. Aleida has to live with knowing if Margo had stayed down in the command center she'd likely still be "alive." Oh well. Not punishment enough for Danny to be put in Mars jail. He's still carrying the worst secret of all to wreck Ed with. But maybe for the sake of Karen's memory he'll definitely never tell Ed. Jimmy knows though and he's not a brain trust. And what about the gun Dani buried out there? If it hasn't been covered in sand and Danny finds it, yikes. With the flashforward to 2003 I don't guess it matters whether Ellen resigned as POTUS or not. Her options for the future would likely be less positive if she did though. I've seen theories that the Russians were behind the bombing and they were in the process of extracting Margo before the explosion occurred. More likely they knew time was running out and the bombing was both a coincidence and a convenient cover for Margo's disappearance. But will the CIA find out she's in Russia and send people in to grab her? Geez, I'm ready for next season now!
  11. Sure, Smurf, Julia's gonna write a college essay about helping her family commit crimes. ๐Ÿ™„ Looks like J is thinking about putting a hit on Amy. But even if she's dead the police still have her deposition. How does J make that go away? Was Deran actually talking about killing Amy on a jailhouse phone? What a moron. Everyone knows those phones are likely monitored. Did Smurf have a side gig as a madam? How did she keep finding these very young-looking hookers to put on Pope and Baz? (reddit thinks those girls are indeed teenagers and Smurf is involved in child trafficking) Craig ain't sh!t, trying to tempt an addict with free coke. Or did he do that because he suspects the guy is a cop? Heh, Craig's biker buddy sure turned the tables on him. But is that actually a thing, amateur boxing as a substitute for rehab? Either way, Craig can't snort powder with his nose bashed in. OMG Smurf getting with that kid to make Baz jealous. She is so awful. In her warped mind it's bad for Julia to sleep with Baz because he's "family" but okay for Smurf to have sex practically in front of him. Wait, what? Did J put a $25k hit on Pope???!!!???!!! Look at Smurf using reverse psychology on Julia. Now that Julia's had a taste of being a bag man (with Pope as her enforcer at the ready) she's liking the thrill of it. Going to college seems less exciting and Smurf accomplished her goal of keeping both Pope and Julia in the gangster life.
  12. Hmm, I'm not sure if Johnny knows Billy is his father or not. I guess I always figured he did but because he seems to know Katie is his actual sister and that Victoria adopted him. I don't know how they would've explained it to him though. Maybe he thinks his bio-mom is dead or otherwise not around. Nah, that'd pretty much be Kyle all over again. Whatever, I maintain that Johnny doesn't need to know about Chelsea until he's at least 18, but if he starts asking questions...oy. Meanwhile, there are spumors out in the wilds that Johnny, Katie, Connor, and Christian are going to be SORASed to young teens or perhaps tweens. If that's true, here comes the dramaz.
  13. The reassurances were not a part of the written document, it was a verbal. Victoria and Billy later decided it was better not to have Chelsea involved in Johnny's life for fairly obvious reasons. Chelsea was fine with it until fairly recently. Legally Chelsea could seek to nullify the termination of parental rights since she agreed to it before the child was born (and maybe she could claim she did it under duress) but she doesn't have the kind of resources Victoria has to fight a legal battle. I think it's a "wisdom of Solomon" situation where Chelsea needs to understand that she should put Johnny's welfare ahead of her grownup emotional issues.
  14. Nope, Chelsea has never been a part of Johnny's life. She handed him over to Billy and Victoria and allowed her parental rights to be terminated. Before Johnny was born Billy and Victoria told Chelsea they'd let her be a part of his life so she'd sign the adoption papers. After he was born, things happened to make them decide to maintain some distance and Chelsea agreed in hopes of making herself seem like she was becoming a better person. I think the difference between Chelsea/Johnny/Billy, Ashland/Harrison/Kyle, and Devon/Dominic/Abby is that the conceptions of Harrison and Dom didn't involve drugging and sexual assault. As far as Harrison in particular is concerned, I think it's eventually going to come to light that Kyle isn't his biological father. Tara was acting fishy about that DNA test and it looked like she may have paid off the medical tech who collected the saliva samples.
  15. So has that been Chelsea's agenda all this time, to get to see Johnny? Maybe Billy should've been taking her hints more seriously instead of being laser- focused on their podcast venture. Nate wearing a pink-ish tie to match Elena's top. Nope, still not liking that. Whatever, are Imani's shady chickens finally coming home to roost? She made a big assumption that Nate would never speak to Sally directly about their allegedly scheduled dinner meeting. Loved Mariah's blowout. Summer's messy beach waves, not so much. That beach must've been full of seaweed and dead jellyfish. ๐Ÿ˜ผ Oh, I don't know about Tessa being The Face of Marchetti. I think there's starting to be a bit of blowback from consumers about actors and musicians being used as fashion models. Most of them don't really have models' bodies, plus it's taking work away from actual professional models. Maybe Tessa could represent a specific line of clothes within the overall Marchetti label. Why is Chelsea acting entitled to see Johnny? It was not an open adoption, for good reasons. NATE! Some conflict in the scheduling? Imani played you, fool. Played you like the simple tool you are. Chelsea's pants were different. At first I wondered if she had them on backwards. Those style of pockets in the front of them usually sit in the back. Meh, Chelsea's trying to replace the loss of Rey with Johnny. That's a lot of responsibility to put on an innocent child, not to mention the potential danger of having Damien Connor help her get to Johnny. Wow, I can't wait to see this financial incentive Nate gave Sally to release Elena from her NM contract. Sally seemed a bit taken aback by it so that probably means Devon will explode when he finds out. (Next week's previews say yep.) Elena read the situation with Imani and the fake dinner meeting perfectly. And when she explained it to Nate, all he could do is get a "watchutalkinboutwillis?" look on his stupid mug. Whee! You're gonna learn, Chelz. Don't come for Sally unless she sends for you. She's dealt with bigger bishes than your nutbag self, plus you know in your soul Adam loves her. ๐Ÿคก A true crime podcast, Chelsea? Lol, stick with what you know. But you better make sure the statute of limitations has passed on all your felonies before you start yucking it up about them for an audience. Not sure why Nate and Elena were having their argument in Lily's office. They probably should've kept it on neutral ground. Re next week's previews: yeah, looks like as far as Devon is concerned, Nate is about to learn the meaning of FAFO. (Probably NSFW) I dunno, why should Elena be punished because her boyfriend is an idiot?
  16. It probably is. The show has gotten so much more visibly cheaper in its production values that it's easy to assume they're only paying the cast the equivalent of part-time salaries over a longer contract period. The only thing TPTB still seem to be spending notable $$$ on is the women's clothes. A lot of those outfits are rather expensive and most of them are only worn once. (Though now a single day in GC is spanned out over up to 10 episodes so maybe that's how they think they're getting their money's worth out the wardrobe expense.) Not so sure about two-thirds. For example, these are the episode counts for the cast for July 2022, posted on another soap forum: Over 21 episodes, EB appeared in about half. Now that Ashland's gone he may move up in the count but right now it seems like Chance is the one picking up a lot more episodes.
  17. "Brazenly defiant." Yeah, Chance, stick it to 'em. Nick and Victoria couldn't be more defiant and brazen. It's the Newman way! I like how Sally handles Victor. She is utterly chill and doesn't fawn over him the way most people do. Maybe she learned something from dealing with the Forresters and Spencers when she lived in LA. Nouveau riche <> royalty. Huh? Why would Adam expect Abby to be in cahoots with him on uncovering the Ashland secrets? They're both varying degrees of outsiders in the Newman family but Abby's always had the Abbotts to support her. Adam is without any mooring at all and that's not Abby's problem. Right, Abby. The place to ask your hubby to share confidential information about an ongoing murder investigation is in a public park where anyone could overhear you. Do these people think Chancellor park has a cone of silence you can switch on so your conversations remain private? Are you for real, Adam? Sally owes you nothing, the least of which would be access to whatever inside info she might have about Ashland's death. I loved when she called his bluff. Adam told Sally he would be in touch. Go on, threaten her with some "skin to skin" contact, Adam. You know you want it. ๐Ÿ˜˜ Well Victor, maybe you should've kept your mouth shut about what you did wrt Ashland's corpse instead of telling Nick. That's the only reason Nick, Victoria, and Nikki are now accessories to your crime. Shut up and own your sh!t. Ehh, not sure I'm here for Chloe always putting herself in between Sally and Adam. Sally needs a galpal but how about one who's more objective? At least Sally knows to filter Chloe's advice. Now Adam wants to go undercover in Chance's investigation?!?! Pssht, he just wants to get himself into a position where he can be the one to save daddy from getting arrested. Don't fall for it, Chance!
  18. Kim as a Stepford wife girlfriend. Yikes. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep...Nope. That was something the way Florida Kim always avoided expressing her opinion. She either figured out a way to agree with whatever the person said or she said nothing. It was hard to watch her keep herself restrained like that. Victor St. Clair. Sounds like a character from a soap opera or a romance novel. At what point had Jimmy and Kim agreed to use that as his codename? (Because she seemed to know it was going to be him on the phone.) Ditto comments upthread, watching Kim seething and then breaking down in tears on that bus ride back to the airport was stunning. Brava, Rhea Seehorn.
  19. Jack said since Kyle is moving over to Marchetti, the job of Jabot co-CEO is vacant. Jack wants to be able to spend time with Harrison during the day so he wants another co-CEO in place to pick up the slack. That is the job he offered to Adam. Yes, and the actor who played that version of Chance is over 40 now. EH (Chloe) is also in her early 40s. The actor currently playing Chance is somewhere between 25 and 29 according to the googles. Unless he's supposed to be playing much older than he actually is, his version of Chance would not have been above the age of consent when he was with Chloe. I really don't understand why the show had Chloe bring up that she was engaged to Chance, knowing that their ages don't line up well. Seems to me a lot of Chance's history is iffy now because the actor playing him is so much younger.
  20. Momentarily mute Tessa's facial expressions are a riot. Cait Fairbanks must've been a mime in another life. She's fantastic. Heh, Summer looking up at Diane like, "Darn, where's a good sinkhole when you need one?" Billy: Jack, did you run this by Ashley, your plan to hire that poisonous snake Adam at Jabot? Jack: no but she'll be fine with it, eventually. Billy: eventually. Would that be before she turns you into a gelding or afterward? Jack: <trademarked grimace> Summer, you told Diane a business is not a place to hash out your personal grievances. So what did you call yourself doing when you flew to LA on the Jabot jet to get dirt on Sally when she was your co-worker? "Rules for thee, not for me," must be your motto. Elena does not learn from her mistakes. All she'd have needed is for Nate to walk back into the office and find her discussing his job situation with his boss. Boom goes the dynamite! Damb, that icy look Diane gave Summer was pure "challenge accepted." Push comes to shove, she knows Kyle would likely side with his mommy vs. his wife if there's trouble at work between Diane and Phyllis. I don't get Phyllis' reaction to the news Adam might become co-CEO of Jabot. Do she and Adam have beef? I thought they had worked things out. Abby, while you're out here being so concerned about your big sister's recent troubles, rest assured Victoria isn't giving you or your baby a second thought. She might be getting close to cussing out your husband though, lol. Quite the little instigator Imani is. And dumba$$ Nate seems to be into it. But if he listens to her he might make things worse with Devon. AFAIC Imani is not the job mentor anybody needs, especially Nate. Triumvirate. That word didn't quite roll off Phyllis' tongue when she was talking to Nikki. More like it tripped and face-planted. Yikes. Apparently the plan is to have most of the main characters working at Jabot/Marchetti, C-W, or NE/NM. Bill Bell's corpse must be spinning like a rotisserie chicken hooked up to a V-8 engine to see what they've done to his show. Y&R was once the master of corporate intrigue storylines but this current stuff feels largely forced to me. However, Kyle should hire Chance to model for Marchetti too. I think Chance & Tessa in an ad campaign would be fire.๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ
  21. Wait, so Nick and Victoria knew what Victor did wrt Ashland but Nikki was still in the dark? The Newmans are so weird. Either they have no boundaries or too many. Chloe is on target. Development and integration of their entertainment properties across multiple types of media is the way to go--if you can make it work. For example, I think MCU is a clear success story but DCU is still struggling despite the power of Warner Bros. I like how Jack still provides positive, non-judgmental support to Adam, even though Adam can make it hard to do so sometimes. Chloe is aces at pep talks but there one thing she can't give Sally: Adam's D. Poor Sally is still daydreaming about it, lol. Plus her office has all those unfortunate reminders like the couch, the desk, the door, the floor... And again Sharon closed shop so Nick could get her free dime store therapy. I can't. Plus, I thought he was worried about making Sharon an ersatz co-conspirator? Countdown to when Victor is calling Jill to tell her to come get her grandson. Or Abby to come collect her husband. He ain't scared of Det. Chance. His eyes were practically rolling out of his head while he was being lowkey interrogated. Jack neglected to mention to Adam that Phyllis would also be at Marchetti. Hmm. She would not be the kind of surprise to get on your first day at a new job, even if she and Adam are sorta friends. Really, Chance? The old "oops, I left my phone here" ploy? I was amazed Victoria didn't laugh in your gorgeous face. (Please tell those two aren't being chem-tested. No. ๐Ÿคจ) Chloe told Sally she and Chance were engaged a long time ago. It must have been while he was still in utero, ha ha. This version of Chance hardly looks old enough to have been dating Chloe back in the day. I'm stunned the writers even went there. Jack, Jack, Jack. Maybe you shouldn't be trying to defend Adam to Billy. The twain shall never meet between those two and you know why. Billy's just gonna go complain about it on his whinecast regardless. Oy, now Adam's going to wonder why the coffeehouse was closed in the middle of the day, and what Sharon and Nick were doing in there with their little heads together. Ruh roh.
  22. Ashland was Katie and Johnny's stepfather but it seems to me they barely knew him. Haven't they been away at boarding school or camp most of the time Victoria was married to him? They're probably acting subdued because this is yet another relationship their mommy has had go bad. Surely they're seeing a pattern and wondering why it keeps happening. I thought Nikki looked great in that bright red top. Lol, Chance basically told Vikki and Nick, "I'll keep questioning you lying Newmans until one of you liars decides to stop lying." At this point they should refuse to talk to him without an attorney present. Jack in his "hip grandpa" sunglasses. Rowr! Sigh, I have to admit I liked the bright blue on Phyllis. Look at these busybodies out working the bold primary colors. Now all we need is for Ashley to show up in a sunny yellow outfit. Huh? Why would Ashland get a pauper's burial? He wasn't a pauper. I don't get why the writers are trying to sell this notion that he handed everything he owned over to NE in the merger. That makes no sense. His entire fortune wasn't in his media company. He had real estate all over the world, he had a private jet, he had his own money. This is some b.s. to make it look like the Newmans completely ruined him. No, all they did was snatch back the remainder of the $500M payoff and then kill him. Phyllis has exquisite taste, Summer? In what universe? In this one I think your mommy's taste looks like it hopped out of a dumpster coated in rancid butter, stale beer, and leftover fried eggs from three days ago. The decor for a hotel is generally different from home decor. Just sayin'. When has Phyllis ever decorated a house? Chance, if you think Nick and Victoria will rat out Victor, you better guess again. And you might want to stop showing the Newmans your cards until you're sure you have an unbeatable hand. Whoa, Summer's dress was a lot--for work, anyway. Seemed to me more like something you'd wear to a garden party or a wedding. The wardrobe people aren't getting a good fix on what Summer's style is, IMO. Well I'll give Chance points for having the guts to confront Victor alone and on his own turf.
  23. Ed listening to Kelly's baby's heartbeat was sweet. Meanwhile, have we ever seen Karen's reaction to the news of her impending grandchild? Yeah, recording the Oval Office conversations never made any sense to me. But knowing the recorders were running, why say stuff that could potentially wreck you either politically or legally? Who would that have ever benefited other than your enemies? I didn't realize Dev doesn't own Helios. His being replaced by Karen as CEO doesn't sit right with me. IMO Aleida should have left the Margo & Russians thing alone. What did she think would happen after she told Bill? He wasn't trying to risk being deemed a co-conspirator by keeping his mouth shut. Danny lucks out again, though it looks like the karma bus might be finally heading his way. What was that investigation based on? If he was questioned about what happened he must have lied. It wasn't believable to me that Larry called a WH press conference and didn't have a speech prepared. He really didn't want to be up there trying to wing it. Whatever, Ellen falling on her sword for him (and their son) by coming out was incredible. And Will Tyler receiving his vindication with such emotion was a powerful moment. Poor Kelly. They're probably going to have to give her an emergency C-section. But is the baby far enough long to survive because they likely don't have an incubator handy. Maybe Danny can MacGyver one. ๐Ÿ™„ USA, Russia, North Korea about to have an international incident on Mars. Of course. Wait until Dani and her Russian counterpart realize the NK guy was on Mars before they were. And that Native Americans don't exist in this alternate universe. Regardless, Dev has always seemed to me like a pro-manifest destiny kind of guy, and Mars is the new frontier.
  24. Ehh, witnessing that Moclan recommitment ceremony was something I could've done without. But I take the point about being receptive to the marital customs of other cultures, at least when mutually consenting adults are involved. Okay, Isaac came correct with the engagement ring. Emerald cut, at least three carats. Perfect. "Coital deployment." Isaac has a unique way with the dirty talk, lol. The sandwich! Yay! Bortus as Elvis on the spectrum. No. Isaac as a male stripper. Oh yes!!! Wow, Claire was a beautiful bride. And of course she wore a dress we hadn't seen yet. "All kidding aside." Apparently that's Moclan for "but I didn't mean that in a bad way." ๐Ÿฅณ Did not expect to see Alara again. Guess that's why they had to kill off Charley last week, to avoid the awkwardness. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Ditto comments upthread, yeah I heard Gordon's wedding song as a bit James Taylor-ish, with a touch of Dan Fogelberg as well. Two good artists to emulate. I too am hoping The Orville comes back for another season. Apparently Seth has mentioned in interviews that much of the main cast has other commitments now so a fourth season could be delayed.
  25. I have to read three different Westworld discussion forums to half-way understand what's happening on this show. One forum tends to have takes on each episode which are 180 degrees different from what I see here. It doesn't bother me because I'm okay with looking at the show in different ways. If there's anything I'd criticize this site about, it's how often opinions are expressed as facts. But at least we're not still in the TWoP world where not falling in with the party line, i.e., the general opinion deemed The Truth, could get you banned. So, I got no problem with Caleb. I'm a fan of Aaron Paul's from his Breaking Bad days. The character I've grown tired of is Hale, Delores, Halores, whatever. To me she's like a James Bond villain: so much talking instead of just getting on with it. Fabulous wardrobe though.
