Allie has a house sitting empty back in LA. You'd think she or Grandpa Jack would be concerned about squatters while she's having an open-ended stay in GC. And here comes the exposition dump, with Victoria explaining the storyline to the viewers instead of letting characters' actions speak for themselves. Plus the writers are straining to make Victoria look like an indefatigable heroine while also propping the Newmans. Nevermind how all the first- and second-generation Newmans are varying degrees of despicable. Wow, Diane couldn't have caused a bigger reaction from Phyllis if she'd lit a firecracker and shoved in Red's gaping maw. At this point I'm starting to wonder if Diane's trying to get Phyllis to go completely bonkers and have to be committed, or merely drive her blood pressure so high that she strokes out. Six = half-dozen. Love how the irony of the situation just zoomed right over Victor's head. All along he'd been crowing about his being the master chess player and how he working things to take Ashland Locke down and save poor victimized Victoria. But it turned out Victoria handled the problem herself, with Victor and Nick only playing their predictable roles while she kept them in dark. IMO Victor's lost whatever omnipotence he thought he had and he has no idea. Chloe got an invitation to join the COO club! Guess she doesn't know the COO job title is easier to get in GC than a pack of gum. Meh, Diane, you might want to think twice about gloating in Phyllis' face. You weren't afraid to come back from the dead but Phyllis is likely not afraid to kill you for keeps this time, especially if you keep provoking her. Okay, I gotta give MS props. When Phyllis went all "AYFKMWTS?" on Jack I was grinning like a fool. She absolutely nailed it. I felt the heat coming out of my TV, lol. Nick bringing the real talk on how Ashland may not be over and done with just because Victoria says he is. <golf claps> Sally speaking so confidently and positively to Chloe was nice to see, I thought. Two formerly troubled women looking ahead with such faith and mutual support is a rarity on this show. Ugh, Victoria's smirk when Adam left her "Celebration of ME!" meeting was nine kinds of juvenile. I hope Ashland does kidnap her smug and ungrateful self. Phyllis is working Allie. Hmm. Isn't Diane supposed to be an entry-level worker bee in the PR department? Why are Kyle and Summer treating her like she's in charge? That could create chain-of-command problems with whoever is her immediate boss. What do you call it when an icicle encapsulates a pile of sh!t? Clue: it rhymes with "Dictoria Spewman." Note that there was no place for Adam in the Ice Queen's new-yet-old vision for NE as she retakes the reins. This time she's lining up daddy, mommy, and baby bro to serve as gatekeepers. Nah, bish. Had to look that one up because I missed a lot of the Heather Tom years. Okay, a kidnapping sequel could work, and per his IMDb page RPG isn't busy right now in terms of acting jobs. But there's a risk Gary Dawson would want to get violent with Victoria again and I'm not really wishing that on her. Count me as one who isn't a fan of Devon's tattoos. I don't think they fit with his character at all and consider them an unnecessary distraction. It must be getting problematic for the show to have to deal with actors' tattoos since they've become much more prevalent. And didn't/doesn't someone have a small nose piercing? Lily or Tessa? Ehhh.

Adam's been in the CEO chair what, less than a week in GC time? And big sis is probably about to return triumphantly to the job? I still don't get how NE isn't the laughing stock of the business world. No serious company operates with a different CEO from week to week. Nick, Victoria is in a hotel because the show you work for is too cheap to use the set for her house. Maybe you could lend them some of your New Hope cash. 😐 I thought the flower Nate gave Elena looked fake AF. Surely he's getting paid enough by C-W to afford an actual rose. Elena was working those white jeans though. C-W opening a hotel in GC. Huh? And when did Devon sell the GCAC? Stop the presses! Nate and Elena have a bedroom! With a bed! IMO Adam should not engage with her about Victoria since it's a guaranteed volatile topic for him. Yeah, it was weird how the show didn't even acknowledge it was the 4th of July. They used to do whole episodes with most of cast attending a pool party at either the Abbott or Chancellor mansion. Then they moved it to the roof of the GCAC. Guess the pandemic and tight budgets have ended all that. 😒

You'd think Ed would know better by now than to brag too soon. Things in space can flip on a figurative dime. Wonder how NASA was able to keep that space sail thingy under wraps? Lol, Clinton looking over at Ellen during the debate like, "I could get her." Yeah, no. Gosh, Danny having to look up at that NASA statue of his parents on their fatal mission. It must've weighed on him, being reminded every day going into work that he had to live up to their heroic legacy. Aleida's loyalty to Margo is impressive. But wow does she have her head in the sand about her home situation. Great compartmentalization skills. Danny's Stepford wife Amber was setting down vintage (in 2022, anyway) Mikasa dinnerware. When Ed made the announcement Karen's face went, "Oh shit" for a split second before she caught herself. I don't know how she didn't see that extortion coming--or at least the potential of it. Helios and NASA literally in a race in space, with the Soviets bringing up the rear. Okay. Yeah, there was definitely something odd about the way JV departed. The only scuttlebutt I've seen is that TPTB wanted him to go on recurring for part of the year and he didn't agree. Allegedly they needed to free up money to pay RN. Then there were some fans were saying it wasn't a good look for the show to get rid of the last Latino/Hispanic character. So that's why we had weeks of the deification of Rey; it was an attempt to dampen down the accusations of discrimination. Yes please. AFAIC Ashland has overstayed his welcome.

IMO Victoria was dumb not to have anticipated the possibility of Ashland returning sooner than expected. She should have left after he did. The $500M money transfer could've been done from anywhere, and she could've booked another hotel room near the airport. Sally wasn't fazed at all about the Marchetti deal. I don't get it. It also doesn't seem like she's fully aware of what's gone down between Chloe and Adam. Hmm. First world problems: when your sister who's no longer an employee snatches the corporate jet so you can't use it for a non-business trip. Doncha hate when that happens? 😉 Victor's dismissive act toward Billy has become beyond tiresome to me. Meanwhile, a few days ago Nikki was begging Billy to help find Victoria. Now he's persona non grata to her, or was she following hubby's rude lead? Victoria claimed it was her plan to wait for Ashland to return so she could have her gloating moment. Riiiight. Sorry, Vikki, but you Newmans aren't as great at pulling revenge schemes as you all like to believe. It never seems occur to you that you can be on the receiving end of dishes best served cold. Adam let Sally talk him down over Victoria's impending return to GC and the NE throne but they both were fairly wrong with their assumptions. I continue to think they need to stop spending so much time trying to figure out Victoria and Victor's possible moves and concentrate on what they currently have control over. Okay, MWTs, Ashland did not hand over his entire fortune to Victoria. It was simply the remaining $250M he got from Victor. Not sure why today's dialogue was written to make it seem like he's broke now. He was still a billionaire when he merged his company with NE, with his own jet and houses all over world. 🤔 Chelsea, were you just grabbing words out of the sky? "Patronizing" and "controlling" don't work quite the way you were tossing them at Chloe. You might as well have pulled "gaslighting" out of your nucking futz hat too. But Adam, you and Connor don't have to fly commercial to Pittsburgh. You could probably lease a private jet out of Chicago. Duh. 🤑 I think there were so many ways Vikki's in-your-face time with Ashland could've turned dangerous. What if he'd gone berserk and beat her? Or pushed her off the balcony? Or shot her? Ehhh. Oh wow, I loved Nikki's scarlet suit today. She rocks the primary colors and jewel tones. Seemed kind of heavy for a humid WI summer though. Chloe making nice with Sally. Okay. Sally dressed in a "nornal" slim sheath--perfect for corporate wear--with a neat little handbag too. Okay. Is this April Fools Day? 🥳 Was Chelsea deliberately being cagey with Sally in order to help Sally somehow discover Chelsea's Marchetti deal? The temptation to swoop in and shoehorn Chelz out of the way might be too much for Sally to resist. Whoops! Chelsea spilled the Marchetti beans to Adam. I thought his response was oddly muted though. 🤔 Sharon was looking rather refreshed. Guess the mourning period is definitely over. Ehh, it still feels to me like Ashland is up to something. Maybe he already owns the building in Tribeca he mentioned so he's planning to pocket Vikki's half of purchase. That pep talk Sally gave Chloe was amazing. What a study in grace. Preempted in my area today but I was able to watch the episode on CBS.com. Oy, I think Adam might need to get on Kyle's gym regimen. His suit was practically swallowing him. Wow, Chelsea and I finally agree on something: Billy's whinecast is ridiculous. 🙄 The Guava Parkour now looks like a decorator overindulged on molly and then vomited all over the lobby. Phyllis maybe should've stuck with the minimalism. So was Victoria counting on Victor to do his TGVN thing and head off all her and Ashland's potential investors in NYC? Slick, if so. Too bad he's so predictable. What was that tan rectangular patch on CLB's upper arm? Was it covering up a tattoo, or a scar? Anyhoo, dang, the guns on that guy. 👀 Chelz, why don't you start your own podcast if Billy's gives you too much of a sad? I bet tons of people would love to hear about your madcap adventures as a grifter, a rapist, and an attempted murderer. Was it me or did the theme song seem a little different? It sounded a bit slower, and the words more distinct to me. Deran's employee Tony is eyeballing things at the bar. Hmm. Square bologna. Sacrilege! Preschool for a kid who can't even walk yet and barely talks. Is that really a thing or was Craig just looking for another way to get Nick out of Renn's clutches? It never occurred to me how a gym would be useful for money-laundering. Apparently it's easy to create dummy customers since most people with gym memberships don't use them after the first month or so. There would typically be a lot of inactive accounts anyway. Why did Smurf lie to Julia about getting expelled? Other than to cock-block Baz momentarily, that is.

Heh, I doubt Victor is getting any spontaneous boners over anything these days, not even Nikki in one of her old stripper costumes. Victoria would need to give him some advanced notice so he could avail himself of a handful of little blue pills. I'm just over Ashland and want him to go. To jail, to a shallow grave, dropped from plane over the Himalayas without a parachute, whatever works.

Finally getting around to watching this final season. Ditto on the comments about Will's "sudden" aging. The stress of the situation must have been hitting him hard, lol. I'm surprised his hair hadn't turned gray too. This show is definitely low rent science fiction.

OMG, Pike as the wormy, obsequious chamberlain. Fantastic. Anson Mount was clearly having a blast. Sir Rauth's trousers were working for me. Oh yes. Princess Thalia was a riot, and in that ridiculous dress. She must have been wearing 10 crinolines. M'Benga all but busted out laughing when he first saw her. Spock as Pollux was gorgeous, in a younger Keanu Reeves sort of way. I was bothered by Queen Neve's stiletto fingernails. I guess she could have people dress and bathe her but how did she eat on her own without wrecking her face? Were they removable? Good to see Hemmer again. M'Benga giving up his daughter to save her life and free the ship was a bit of punch in the feels. But now the writers won't have to explain why a character on hold in the transporter is getting noticeably older.

Heh, the Admiral was like, "Please, I was flying these ships when they still used stick shifts and you had to crank the engines manually." "Most men who lose their heads tend to die." Women too, I bet. 😏 Dang, Seth straight up referenced one of the greatest episodes of one of the greatest shows in the history of TV. Teleya was no Walter White though. She was not the one who knocks. Teleya called Kelly a basic heaux who can't keep a man. Heh. All that power and responsibility and she still had time to be petty. Apparently Seth is a fan of The Expanse too. The scene in the market/public square with the beggars on the street was practically an homage. Ed, you ARE the father! Pshht, he didn't even demand a DNA test. Anaya could be anybody's kid. UO I guess but I thought the CGI on that battle scene with the Krill was amazing. Poor Anaya. What a sad, isolated life Teleya has condemned her to because she's a political and social liability. Ed needs to sue for custody, right after he sees legitimate DNA test results. Get Maury to do a cameo. I got the impression it wasn't 100% certain. Note how Teleya declared herself the victor and assumed power before the votes could be officially certified. Maybe she knew there was something hinky in mix and she couldn't afford to wait until it was discovered. Yes but it's becoming a pattern with Seth. He must have an ironclad NDA with the actresses/employees he does this with. Or access to Johnny Depp's lawyers.

And he avoided reminding everyone how he built NE from the ground up with his bare hands. Nick just walks into the middle of a NE press conference and pulls Victor out. Excellent manners. Wonder who he learned them from? 🙄 Don't pat yourself on the back too hard, Nick. Victoria only called you because she knew you'd run straight to Victor to spill the tea. You're a literal tool. Shut up about Sally, Kyle. If it weren't for her, you wouldn't be the CEO of Marchetti and your family wouldn't now own it. You're effing welcome, trust fund boy. At least Diane wasn't naive enough to buy Phyllis' cease-fire act. But she let Kyle think she did. Ehhh. Whee, Phyllis referred to Diane as "that heiffer." The realness, it tickles. 🤗 Ah, Victor, you're too slow. Victoria is already on the verge of convincing Ashland to fund their new business venture with their own money. What are the odds the amount she suggests they each put up will be $250M? She'd basically be getting Locke to hand over the rest of the payoff Victor gave him. It's a classic pigeon drop scheme. (Though if I were her, I'd start with a number like $750M and then pretend to let Ashland negotiate it down.)

Watched it online at CBS.com due to preemption. Jack took the news about Kyle moving over to Marchetti much better than I would've expected. Those lapels on Michael's suit jacket were huge. Didn't realize that look was back in style. I don't remember, did we ever get to see Imani's dad? She's had such a weird storyline, with most of it occurring off-screen until recently when the writers decided to point her at Nate. Not sure I understand why Michael warned Diane he was going to be doing a deep dive into her life in LA. Doesn't that give her a chance to hide things? Yeah, Summer's about due for some comeuppance. I don't think Chelsea will go after Kyle though. Here's the scenario I've written in my head: Chelsea gets overwhelmed at having to carry Fenmores, Jabot, and Marchetti on her back (sure) and is about to miss the most critical production deadlines. Summer, Lauren, and Chloe all give her pep talks but nothing works. Kyle decides to try his hand at it and Chelsea ends up breaking down in his arms. That leads to Chelsea receiving some Marvin Gaye-style sexual healing from Kyle and suddenly she's back on her designing game to everyone's amazement (but Kyle's personal shame). But the next time Chelsea gets frustrated she goes back to Kyle for round 2 and he turns her down. She threatens to tell Summer what happened and in order to head her off, Kyle confesses to Summer himself. Summer gets mad but she still loves Kyle and is grateful he was honest with her. She summons Chelsea over to the Abbott house where she serves tea and biscotti while she coolly reads to Chelsea the morality clause of her Marchetti contract. You're fired, Chelsea! Then Lauren shows up and tells Chelsea that Fenmores doesn't need her anymore either. When Chelsea starts ragging on how they'll be left in a lurch without anyone to finish the next season's designs, in walks Sally with a fabulous portfolio of sketches! Even Chelsea has to admit she's impressed. Lauren huffs and puffs but realizes she'll have to get over her issues with Sally. Summer and Sally shake hands and agree in front of Kyle and Chelsea to bury the hatchet for the sake of business. It's a one-off though because Sally will return to her job as CEO of Newman Media, where NM will now have first look at all new clothes to be sold by Marchetti, Jabot, and Fenmores. Then Summer and Kyle and Lauren will pursue another permanent designer not named Chelsea. Okay, Y&R, there you have it. Pay me. 😉

Sally was so happy finally getting to sit in the big boss chair! Had to laugh at her outfit though. It was like 9 to 5 meets bondage mistress. Billy was noncommittal on the proposed playdate but eventually contact between the boys will be beyond his ability to prevent. Wait, what? Billy said he doesn't know where Victoria is. I don't get why he's accepting that given how his kids are out of his immediate reach right now. He might trust Victoria but Ashland remains a potential danger IMO. Lily doesn't seem to like how Billy's star is rising due to his podcast.
