  1. It's just such an oddly specific name and reference, and I don't see how it/she is connected to a current Batman character and why. And if she is a new recurring character related to the Riddler (maybe?), why the Christmas name? Okay I'm done thinking about this.
  2. I mentioned the same thing in the Flash forum. I really hope the writers take the less travelled path and have Iris find out sooner rather than later.
  3. Whoa. Déjá vu. You both are describing the relationships/events in Lois & Clark. I agree that the sibling thing with Barry and Iris is an unnecessary complication; however, I don't think it's a bad thing that they have some history at the start of the show. Clearly, the producers wanted to get the show off to a running start by having everyone know each other already (and not just the romantic relationships).
  4. DC crossover! Anthony Carrigan, who played a villain on the 3rd episode of The Flash, is playing another DC villain (Victor Zsaszs) in this Monday's episode. I wonder if he'll show up on Constantine?
  5. The "secret" command center on Chuck was worse (but it was partly a comedy); but if Arrow lasts as long as that show did, I'm sure they'll catch up. :-P But at least Oliver has an excuse: he's too broke to afford a better place. (Which still leaves the question, How is he affording the current place??)
  6. So what's up with "Kristen Kringle"? As in, Chris Kingle; as in Santa Claus. Is there a Batman-Santa connection I don't know about? This is a comic book show, so I'm assuming she has that name for a reason.
  7. From the PTV recap: Gah! This really bothered me. I know that the writers wanted to get Felicity working with the Flash Mob (heh!) as quickly as possible, but her working with the Arrow is kinda a big secret, Barry! Oh, I 'ship them a lot, and it's annoying that the show/s acknowledges that they're perfect for each other, but they can't be together because "we're on two different shows and we have to spend time with those other 'love' interests instead". And for the record, I think Barry and Iris have good chemistry too; but he's firmly in the "brother zone", so nothing is going to happen with that soon. I actually really like that they've shown them as good friends.
  8. I wonder why they changed the art? (Or why the first art was the way it was)
  9. I agree. She's doing way better than Laurel on Arrow, and Lana on Smallville... and Barbara on Gotham. The only thing I'm a little worried about is how they'll resolve the Barry's crush on her; because he's so far into the Friend Zone, he's in the Brother Zone. But I do like their relationship as it is now (well, minus her not knowing he has superpowers). I can't think of another show where the male and female lead start off as good friends, and have a history of being friends.
  10. For reals. I want to see Sam and Steve team up.
  11. I was so hoping this would be actual reboot -- unconnected to the previous continuity. Ahhnold did NOT need to be in this. [Does the title of this thread need to change?]
  12. Maybe they could have had her be a friend of the family to the Waynes? Or have her show what the "upper crust" society of Gotham is like.
  13. I agree that's it's not the same level of offensive; but troubling nonetheless.
  14. Yes, the back doors to get to the diamond. When the other robbers pulled the guards out of the truck, they just simply opened the passenger and driver doors.
  15. In general, Barry being Central City's only CSI. But from "Going Rogue": the robbers just opening the doors to the armored truck-- because the guards don't lock their doors...?
  16. Diggle: "What's with your family and islands?"
  17. Wentworth-- his voice is still like butter. (Raspy, sexy, butter) But ... they just let Snart walk away? (Yes, I know for future storylines, BUT STILL.) Barry and Felicity are adorable together! More please! I was really impressed with the amount of special effects in this episode. It looks like they went all out.
  18. I mentioned it in the race thread in the Movies section. Yeah, it's disgusting, and I wasn't even aware of the issue before that article came out.
  19. Okay, thanks. When you first mentioned a "racial component" I was worried; body builds make a lot more sense.
  20. Nope, says this person Trinidadian heritage. We're from the islands, as in, surrounded by water!
  21. Yeah, Hetty is tiny, but has had lots of adventures, but most of proof is gone/erased/hidden so it seems like legend. I'm glad this "crossover" was just a cameo, because I'm still not feelin' this show, and I don't want its icky cooties touching my NCIS:LA. :-P
  22. This was kind of a 'meh' episode; but at least there was a lot of Callen and Sam.
  23. mojito said: Are you serious? Has someone actually linked race to swimming ability?(/the factors you mentioned?)
