Overall...very basic episode. Im not sure why they have made everything to do with Caitlin so complicated yet so boring. Im surprised they havent thought of a Lazarus Pit. We've had the Scientist, the killer sarcastic, and I guess now we are on the hippie? Hippie Snow? Why is Allegra/Chester so complicated? They arent anything special enough to warrant all this romantic drama. Of all the characters this show has promoted to series regulars, im still not sure why Hartley never came to mind. He's one of the more interesting characters and a better anti-hero than what they made of Frost. If Hartley is able to literally tell Barry what he needs and its 2 steps away...why exactly would he need Caitlin and couldnt just do it himself? How many shadowy Speedvillains do we need that do the same.exact.thing? Literally. They all get these villains to do their work. Villain fails. They threaten said villain. Villain fails. They kill said villain. How many sonic screamers does 1 Earth need? It's the most popular power. So many have had it.

In true Arrowverse fashion, the non-female lead loses their sister and it drives them crazy to the point that they try to bring them back to life despite the male leads insistence to leave well enough alone.
-
They are going to be using "old friend" a lot this season arent they? And with this being the last season do we really need any sort of conflict between ANY of the couples? Either break them up or have them live in their happily ever after. There are plenty of storylines to tell that dont involve forced drama.
-
This kiss felt like FOREVER. It still feels like the most exhausting relationship in the Arrowverse.
-
Maybe because its been 7 months...I thought it was a decent episode where I wasnt rolling my eyes for majority of it. Was it premiere worthy? No. But having Barry shirtless half the episode definitely helped. ANOTHER new Caitlin but this time with blue highlights....here we go. Whenever it comes to Caitlin I just flashback to Angel and how they turned Fred into Illyria and how heartbreaking and epic it was and how I wish this show could've done even half of that for Caitlin so lets see what this new one brings. Still not sure why they want Iris to get pregnant at the very end of the series. She should just be pregnant now and get it started and have the arrival of Nora for the final scene of the finale. Having a blurry speedster with glowing eyes, stick to what you know I guess. I wonder if we'll meet Ted Kord or we'll just continue the tradition of hearing about his awesome company that gets broken into 10 years later. When it comes to Iris, I just hope she isnt all doom and gloom this season. Seems like she hasnt been able to fun since like S1.

Not Alyssa making the most sense in this Nepotism topic! Whoopi/Sunny completely missed the point, barely anyone has said these A-list Nepo celebs didn't work hard to get there but... they had that door open because of their family. That's the point.
-
I think its perfectly fair. Did Alyssa/Shannen feud impact the show? No. They still had A LOT of scenes together for majority of the season to the point where you wouldnt even know of a feud just by watching the show. The feud wasn't over the span of years, it was a span of months and they tried to force someone to mend their relationship. They were both under contract for Season 4 and both left the season believing they'd be back, working with one another. Having 3 months off is a very long time to refresh and renew ones self. Something that the producers never even tried

The People's Court - General Discussion
Primal Slayer replied to Lillybee's topic in The People's Court
Been catching up on TPC (up to late October/early November episodes) and the episode surrounding the "stolen cat" wherein the old woman moves out of the neighborhood, leaves her sons cat behind, he gets out of prison, drives in the old neighborhood, sees the cat and takes it even though a new family has had it for 7 months was an interesting one from the ruling. Im so used to Judge Judy slamming down the hammer and giving people 7 days to return property or animals (or even turn them over in court) compared to Judge Milian being like "you get the cat back, ill issue an order you can take to your local blah blah blah but it could take them months to grant the order for him to hand over the cat" -
S02.E04: One Flew Over The Cuck's Nest
Primal Slayer replied to Cranberry's topic in Gossip Girl (2021)
Nope. It is pure twincest. Confirmed by the EP. This was a REALLY rushed episode because the plots had zero time to breathe. Considering that they had this storyline planned out for Grace since before filming started, one would think they would work to give Grace some kind of depth. Really work up her and Obies relationship...try to get us to care about them as a couple SOMEWHAT. But she went from this "perfect girl" to "oh, she's faking it?" at the end of an episode only to completely wrap it up the next episode by giving her one mean scene. All of it was just for shock value and thats all. Obie doesnt even seem like a main character this season. The end of his relationship isnt even about him, it's about everyone else. The Throuple are in another trust issue of the week all surrounding sex as usual. Can these characters please hang out with other characters and not have a relationship issue every.single.episode? They aren't cool for being in a throuple but it seems like it is the only thing the writers want them to be known for. Zoya and her friend continue to be annoying along with Monte's random ruling over all of Constance. I need more Luna though. She is the ONLY one who I root for. -
I want this show to succeed and be the best it can be but....having these characters be treated like Gods with so much power is just really boring. Monte runs the school as a junior to the point where she can kick people out of school for not wearing her uniform....even though they completely ignore Zoya and her bff who arent playing by her rules. It's never brought up! This is a whole storyline just waiting to happen. You have 2-3 main female characters that Monte just totally ignores and they ignore her. The throuple is just flat out played out at this point and having Max having slept with everyone and they all might as well be the same character because all of them act the same exact way towards him. This group of guys in this episode are no different from the group of gays/girl from the last episode and they are no different from any of his other sexual conquests. They are enthralled with him and its "the best sex they've ever had" and its all about him manipulating them to be cool again. All of them watching one of his sex tapes was....not a good look no matter how much the writers are trying to be "sex positive" in this show. Zoya acted like a flat out brat and im not sure if we are supposed to be rooting for her at all? So it's fine for her to lie to her father but he has to let her be privvy to every decision going on in his life? I don't understand what the point of Grace is except to set up a "Julien you were right, you are the love of my life, im so sorry for how I treated you" storyline. They didnt flesh her out nearly enough for that cheating scandal to be shocking. Of course its followed by her mom forbidding Obie from having ANYTHING to do with Julien. I'm not a teenager anymore so maybe...its the adult in me??? but there's nothing cool or likable or funny about Max and co. doing drugs at a work event and running around in their underwear ruining it. Luna continues to be paid dust. The one scene I liked and what we need 10000)% more of is the gang laughing together after causing havoc at the event.

If it werent for men trying to interfere bts...what could've been.
-
i think the new owners are looking to push them back to probably april/may and try to have less time between the old era and new era as they need some type of hype for the shows theyll be producing
-
I see the writers havent really learned anything from last season. I want to enjoy the show but it still feels really bland with next to nothing being earned. Julien vs Monte just has no real meat to it, especially Monet having the power to exorcise ANYONE from school. They made everyone who goes to Constance a bunch of red shirt sheep...are there no seniors in this school with power? Is NYC not filled with anyone else with celeb parents who can easily outshine anyone of them? They are sticking everyone with their respective pairs thus far instead of branching out, the throuple having nothing else to do but have throuple drama is even more annoying than love triangles.
-
That was a good twist! And a very good episode. Though I do find it hard to believe the cosmic staff would allow "Pat" to do half the things he wanted in this episode, especially the ending. Looks like we will have a very good series finale (idk why the new kids on the block arent promoting it as series finale) which is a shame since we could've gotten a really good S4 with how things are going.
-
Yes. She definitely did lol
-
I would imagine it would be s2/3....maybe 4 or 8 (for the finale?) But id be surprised if it had been for the post Prue years tbh

I want more S1 diabolical Georgina than the comedy show that constantly failed that they turned her into. -
Xena: Warrior Princess - General Discussion
Primal Slayer replied to David T. Cole's topic in Xena: Warrior Princess
Very true. I think some of the best Hercules episodes happen to be when someone from Xena is crossing over (Callisto/Hope) as it made the writers take a darker direction temporarily and just tighter storylines all around. I watched Hercules and the Amazons last month and....I know it was one of the movies prior to the series but it was rough and took forever to get to the actual Amazons. -
The actress who played Melinda Warren revealed they invited her back multiple times but scheduling never worked out.
-
It was so rushed. You could tell the writers just wanted to get the storyline done and over with. Spent 3.5 seasons leading up to this moment and....that it? What happened to The Sources fire guards that we spent an entire episode about? His top tier demons that do his bidding? All it takes is the crystal cage to stop him? I maen...sure its great that Prues invention was one of the main things that helped out but....come on now.

Xena: Warrior Princess - General Discussion
Primal Slayer replied to David T. Cole's topic in Xena: Warrior Princess
Agreed, seeing Cyane take her in, Xena not only betraying them but killing most of them AND helping in condemning them to not gain the ability to move on to the afterlife properly was sad to see. Plus all their deaths were brutal with everyone being impaled by broken tree branches or whatever. This entire scene with those two was so good -

4x01/4x02 whew, what a two parter! Moody, introduces another great female villain in Alti, another Amazon group and some amazing fight scenes. We get Xena visiting Hades and learning how their domains work. It's not the usual Xena episode where there is some type of lightness even in the darkness. While Callisto was a psychotic blonde who was birthed by Xena, Alti is the opposite. She's sadistic and power hungry not to mention just downright scary. We learn that she cursed Solan from the get go which explains why he never had a relationship with either parent and dies at a young age. Cyane and is one of those characters that I wish we had gotten to see more. Vicki Pratt is one of those 90s actresses where you saw her in plenty of things but sadly none of them ever became as successful as you'd wish being most notably in Cleopatra 2525, Mutant X. It isnt meant to be funny but...its funny and I love that the cast/crew agree that putting Gabrielles head on a Spider wasnt their best work lol. But its so Xena and so 90s. And with usual Xena and the Buffy comparison, they foreshadow/show us the characters huge fates in the S4 finale. Finishing up 'A Family Affair' and I've always thought that sadly they kind of dropped the ball in bringing Gabrielle back to life. After such an emotional season finale and intense 2-part premiere...Gabrielle & Hope are both are just alive as if nothing happened. Xena-verse does a lot of crazy things so Im surprised that the writers didnt think bigger. Dahak should have been the one to just intervene ins his firey way. The Dahak storyline was such a big part of the show and it's like they just grew tired of it and brought it to an end with Hope being killed by her son. Of course the Dahak storyline doesnt wrap up 100% until Hercules but its so far removed from Xena that it's never as satisfying as it could've been. Hope was supposed to give birth to 6 destroyers but only 1 survived to scare a tale...and I think that was a mistake. The destroyers could've been a good story arc for not only Xena but for Hercules as well, Hope was also a great villain so her demise being so small left a lot to be desired. -
Its been what? 3-4 weeks since the season started? I wonder how long until Alyssa starts feeling like she's part of the show and not just a long running guest host lol.

Xena: Warrior Princess - General Discussion
Primal Slayer replied to David T. Cole's topic in Xena: Warrior Princess
The start of the Dahak storyline was SOOO good. They make us think that the episode will revolve around Caesar/Ares but in all actuality...they are very minor to the plot. Gabrielle losing her blood innocence and becoming impregnated with Dahaks spawn was dark. One thing I never understood was....they gave us this GREAT looking demigod for Xena to battle Vs. The Quill is Mighter is such a funny episode. The show can do comedy as great as it can do drama. Aphrodite trying to get back at Xena by enchanting Gabrielles scroll and it all backfiring on everyone was the best. The 3 Gabrielle's dancing to the 60s music...gold. And of course anytime you bring back Minya...its great The Bitter Suite....such a GREAT episode. Long before Once More With Feeling, we got this beauty that is often overlooked in the musical realm. Great way for Xena/Gabrielle to work through their issues that has been building up for a season now. One Against an Army is one of the best action episodes of television, period.dot. What they pulled off on a syndicated budget, within a usual episode production, the amount of stunts Lucy did was A+. Plus the emotional side of the story with Gabrielle on doors deathstep yet again, the way the show plays it out never gets old. The 4-part Sacrifice arc is sooooooooooooo damn good! Starts in Hercules, concludes in Xena. Hope trying to rid the world of Hercules and bringing in Callisto to do the job was great. She/Ares make for a great dynamic duo and the fact that she is allowed to succeed in killing Hercules mother bringing about a new world where Xena never found redemption was fun. Ioulos gets to save the day and Xena picks up right where Armageddon leaves off heading into Sacrifice 2-part season finale on Xena. The big reveal at end of Pt.1 with Hope coming out of her cocoon was one of the best tv reveals ever. All this leading to Ares joining Hope, Callisto joining Xena...so many good teamups. Gabrielle sacrificing herself to save Xenas life and taking Hope out was like Buffy sacrificing herself in The Gift....these two shows have so much in common you'd almost think that Joss was influenced by Xena to a great degree lol. All this time Callisto has been trying to off herself and the one time she feels alive again is when Gabrielle "dies" and then BAM! Callisto as we've known her for 3 seasons comes to an end. I think the only minor thing that would make Sacrifice better is if they included Hercules/Iolaus. If anyone is ever able to get their hands on the anchor bay dvd releases I highly recommend doing so. Esp when it comes to S3, there's practically special features for every episode going into bts, interviews with Lucy/Renee. Always fun to watch after finishing an episode. -

So Hudson has dedicated herself to a new faith (not sure how long, guess its been a long time now) and sold everything she ever had/kept from Xena to fund her stay in India. https://www.instagram.com/p/CdOM1PyrKBt/ https://www.instagram.com/p/CdbTlUjpI4d/ https://www.instagram.com/p/Cdny556rGxW/ https://www.instagram.com/p/CeCI4CrPv3H/
