  1. yeah they really could've at least opened the show with Maggie/Mel dealing with Macys death shortly after it happened, give her a proper funeral, and show us through the months of them growing further and further apart. Jumping 6 months ahead and avoiding all of this was....a choice. He isnt a whitelighter since he wasnt created to be one but....he's a whitelighter lol. He briefly died when Harry was hellbent on becoming one again 5 minutes after he gave it up to become human lol. Im pretty sure Harry got his powers back because didnt he try to heal Macy? Abbi is GONE. I think she went to go find herself? Did Maggie have a new bf at the end of S3? I dont even remember. I assume she saw the bar owner have the bounce blow the guy away so she figured that was how she got out of there as well.
  2. It was an ok episode, not much changes in terms of writing for the show compared to other seasons. I know the sisters are "mourning" Macys death but there isn't much emotion felt apart from the last part of the episode from them but I wasn't really expecting there to be with just how the sisters have been written for majority of the series. Maggie/Jordan hunting down some low rent demons didn't feel like it had much intensity to it, why are demons running away from a white and a new whitelighter? The Power of 3 is dead, Maggie doesnt have a dangerous active power...and do these demons even have powers? They're demons but they go poof with a simple poke of an enchanted baton and knuckle ring. Mel is single yet again, very abruptly. At this point I dont really know if there is any reason to get invested in any future relationship she has since none of they just end randomly. I also noticed that Melanie got some new teeth! She had her gap closed between the shows hiatus, it looks good. What I was not surprised by...is that they had Harry be the most emotional one throughout the episode. I'm not sure if its just because the actor was able to convey it better but...Harry was definitely having a hard time with Macys death 6 months later. The introduction to Charmed One num.4...Mikayla...thus far I like her. She and her friends have had more emotion for one another and connectivity than Macy/Mel/Maggie had throughout 30+ episodes. Her power being manifestation... not surprised since we knew she'd be an artist and this is the usual route one takes when a character is heavily into art. I don't really think her introduction scene was needed though because it did absolutely nothing for the character unless she continues to be a mechanic. It's one of those things that should've been played out throughout the season if not at least a couple of episodes. I also see that Mikayla is tall compared to her sisters as well lol so those shots of 3 them will continue to look slightly awkward as they attempt to frame everyone in scenes. Maggie/Mel being apart from one another was also rushed. It's not something that felt genuine and just like a plot they decided to do to add to the episode. Them finding Mikayla also was a bit wonky. The fact that they already want Mikayla to move in and are ready to embrace a new Charmed sister makes me laugh because this series just refuses to have any type of chill. Josefina...why do they keep bringing her back just to ship her off back home every time she shows up? Just add her to cast already. Which brings me Harry/Jordan. With these 3 "supporting" characters...I can rarely remember the amount of times where the men of OG Charmed really had substantial scenes/stories outside of the sisters. I know Cole had some with his demons once he became The Source, Andy probably had some when he was working on the case of the innocent of the week but...I don't really need these 3 to have side stories that do not involve a Charmed One. Maggie/Mel and now Mikayla should always be the connective tissue. They have a storyline that comes back together with them as 3 if not 2 sisters in 1 plot, 1 in another plot where both plots combine. I don't mind them adding magic to the show, I think having a magical bar is....better than Magic School lol but between fairy wing-parties and magic bars with magical creatures...we need some of the normal world. Unfortunately as with previous seasons the sisters need a third party to tell them information about what is going on and how to potential fix the problem instead of finding it out themselves and consulting the BoS.
  3. Marquies wasn't The Joker. Joker is in the Batwoman-verse, we've seen him and it wasnt him, thats the point. It isn't a mantle.
  4. Hollywood Reporter really needs someone who knows what they are taking about lol. He didnt play the first black Joker.
  5. The disdain they had for Shannen and thus Prue bts really showed throughout the years.
  6. It's a bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad world....interesting choice for a 2-part finale but...not fully explored to really make an indent. The writers really could've made an interesting change by revealing that Chris is from the "bad world" or that Wyatt was swapped out at some point in time. We spent the entire season hunting down every which demon that could "turn" him evil so this would've been the next best thing. Them messing up the world and making it overtly happy and murder happy....when Phoebe gets shot it wasn't Roses best acting and certainly not written that well. We've seen the sisters on the verge of death plenty and give very good performances yet here it's not played with any real sense of urgency or danger. Paige sheds no wears, she doesn't cradle Phoebe in her arms, its just like she got a finger prick.
  7. The 2nd half of the season....Phoebe/Paige trying to force Leo/Piper to have sex wasnt a good look then and it isnt a good look now. Chris's hate for his father overwhelming his common sense really is bad. He had no problem breaking up mommy/daddy until he needed to be conceived and starting freaking out. The spider episode could've been a good one...had it not had that stupid wicked witch subplot with all of the magic characters. Actual demons become such a rarity that its always nice to see them pop up. The creation of the Cleaners really made things a bit to easy, while I use my headcanon that they were created after Prues death and The Sources demise...would it have been to hard to just give us a little throw away line confirming such a thing instead of pretending like they've been around since forever? Having Phoebe/Paige deal with Agent Sheridan out them would've been a good thing for them to deal with. The whole Tribunal thing was a bit....wacky. It's already awkward that there's no pictures of Prue around the house, having clip shows that are Prue-less make it even more glaringly awkward. Sometimes you should just shelve out the $$$ for a good Shannen clip. The lousey tribunal could've judged TCO for a lot but they really chose the wrong things to judge them for. Darryl being given the death sentence in 24hrs was just...laughable. He deserved a better plotted out episode/arc than the one he was given in this episode. Phoebe being stripped of her powers was plain stupid. Especially since she has the most budget friendly powers of them all. Yet somehow Barbas gets out scotch free, how does this episode make any sense? The only "consistent" thing if I even call it that is that Pheebs is 2 for 2 for being stripped of her powers in each of her known lives. The even funnier thing is...the episoded RIGHT AFTER we have demons expose themselves to a human that they dont even kill. Oh and RIGHT after that we have Paige use her magic to create the perfect man...for herself! How does Darryl even remember what happened in a timeline that was erased? TCO memories of Wyatt were erased the first time around. Why wouldn't Darryls memories be wiped of what happened? And why doesnt Chris just orb out of police custody when no one is around, he doesnt exist, doesnt have a job, doesnt pay taxes...I'm so beyond ready for S6 to be over with. How was Gideon able to retain his whitelighter/edlerly abilities after doing so much evil? He was corrupted enough that he should've just turned into a glorified fallen angel.
  8. While this season is probably the best season of Batwoman....the 2nd half ended up being kind of a mess with a lot of let downs. After building up Ryan as this opposite of Kate Kane, she was poor, grew up without parents, in every foster house known to man, had the worst of luck...this season they just made her into Kate Kane lite. At odds with her uber rich mother, at odds with her crazy brother, acting like Alice doesnt deserve anything while Marquis does, Alice is just some crazy lady who didnt have as much, if not more of a traumatic childhood than her... The driving theme of the season being former villain weapons that turn people into knock off versions is still something I think was fairly stupid so I'm glad it is done. The whole buzzer storyline has been ridiculous and Marquis being cured with a jolt to the brain was unsatisfying. There was no real change in status quo but for some reason Ryan is making out with Sophie in the office of Wayne towers in her suit as if no one could barge inside. Though it seems like we are back to Wayne E. having no employees, they all disappeared with Marquis. I'm glad that we are done with fake Fox. I dont need Luke to be talking to a glorified computer acting like it's his father. Batman having a Bat blimp was.....wacky.
  9. The deeper i get into s6 the harder it is the watch. They just have next to no care about the show and they think they're in a comedy. There are no stakes at hand...
  10. What a letdown of a poster. I'd expect this for an average episode but not to promote Charmed reboot 3.0 Season 4. The bangs really aged her last season
  11. Also this pic is the closest we will ever get to a reunion...what I would give to at least get a EW reunion issue
  12. Finished up S5 and onto S6....some stray observations: The writers wanting to make Paige into Ms.Superwitch really got in the way of Phoebe being a decent witch. Paige having all those dreams or whatever of the Titans really should've been Phoebes subplot. The woman with the premintions couldn't even see or feel them coming...it's almost as like: Making Phoebe into the Goddess of Love is of course within her character even though it was less love and more lust. It's something the writers really like to drive home about Phoebe. She gets hit by the sin of Lust, is psychically connected to the succubus, Goddess of love, picks up on everyone's horniness as an empath...but if one thing is for certain, if we got all these characters in present day, Phoebe would certainly be bisexual lol. Phoebe becoming an empath in S6....it wasn't something I was against but lord do I remember how annoying it got REAL FAST. They really wanted to amp her up so she can feel emotions, basically read thoughts, tap into witches/demons "emotions" to access their powers (which was teh DUMBEST thing ever). The power advances very quickly. But lord can Alyssa rock any hair-do! She looks great with the pixie cut. But I love Jason, outside of Cole, he was the best love interest she had and should've been her end-game. The writers really couldn't wait 5 minutes before thrusting Piper back into the dating world could they? She just got out of a very intense relationship, has a child and already is trying to date again? One of my biggest tv taboos is wasting our time with love interests that have no chance at being end-game because they want to delay the endgame couple. Drew Fuller really was a terrible actor lol and Chris really had next to no redeeming qualities lol. I dont know how he could even be considered good when he's fine with killing people (or we..magical people) by using his TK to stop their heart! Damn. And he's worried about Wyatt growing up evil? Paige has a whole degree and they have her do various temp jobs that she would never do or stay with long term. Piper/Phoebe just become more and more selfish as the seasons go on. Piper could care less about saving a soul because he willingly sold his soul to a demon! Paige has to hound her to save him while Phoebe is just out here throwing potions left and right with turning her sleeve bag co-worker into various animals.
  13. Im surprised they never a did a 'What If' Patty hadn't died episode
  14. I love Grams and how she channeled her TK. Of course we know that Wyatt turns evil in the future but I think they should've taken Grams whole spiel about not having males in the last 300 years as something more serious in the storyline.
  15. I still cant believe that the writers put us through HALF A SEASON of Cole "I'm a good guy but im also a bad guy and I am going insane" with Phoebes "You're evil. You're evil. You cant be good because you're evil. I'm going to kill you. I'm not going to help you commit suicide" in S5. Prue would've been so annoyed that Phoebe put them through all this drama in S3 only to just give up on him and act like it was all for nothing. I don't even know what their endgame was with all of this. What if Julien hadnt requested he be let out of his contract? Would they have just gone the rest of the season/series with this?
  16. I know the actresses/Kern were rarely happy with how TheWB promoted the show but Its interesting that starting with S5, WB starts coming out with posters for specific episodes
  17. Yeah I was always a little surprised when I read that way back when. Though I think the fairy episode is probably what made them dislike it and they seemed to course correct REAL quick after that one.
  18. I think had Phoebe not been enamored with Cole and allow it to cloud her judgement she could've been the superwitch in s3. But even Prue being superwitch she was more about force and less about creating spells/potions outside Balthazor.
  19. yeah this was a stupid episode. I'm supposed to believe that Joker wannabe was able to abduct some of Gothams elite? A falcone? They introduce Jim Gordon's wife, Barbara's mom....and they basically kill her off with all of 2 lines? This whole arc has been boring. Ivy jr outs Batwomans identity and Alice outs the batcave? Thank god there is only 1 episode left.
  20. Paiges regression throughout the series was really unfortunate, especially since she was newer to the show. First season was great, 2nd season was ok, and then they really just wanted to move her into that youngest sister trope. Didnt she forget how they vanquished The Source thinking it was the OG Po3? Even though she was PART OF vanquishing him. I remember a quote from Drew Fuller about how they didnt take the show seriously and took it as a comedy which explains so much about the later seasons. Alyssa and that baby voice....I think that is probably one of the reasons why she/Shannen had a falling out. Their view of show and what they wanted seemed to be totally opposite of one another. Shannen wanted the show to be darker and more serialized whereas Alyssa loved all the goofy stints and playing dress up. As the show went on I definitely grew to like Piper less and less. She became very one note and everything was said with an added snark and how over it she was. It really shows with how she relied more and more on her MC power and rarely used her MS power. Becoming resident super witch really just didnt fit her well and it hardend her, something that even having children didnt help bring out the old Piper that often. One of the things that people criticize the Prue-era for was Prue being the "super witch" and not needing the Po3 yet....Piper saved the day 10x more with just blowing up whoever they came across. I still remember how much I rolled my eyes on that first watch of them saying that Prue taught Leo how to astral project....like WHAT. I have major side eye for Alyssa/HMC allowing those type of things in the script since they've said how much they edited things. I especially hated come S4b that they were able to create potions that replicated their powers as well....huh? what's the use of powers if they can just be made with a potion? I think Piper made a freezing potion that also scalded them? And how scrying essentially replaced premintions as far as finding evil/innocents. Prue/Piper must've done the same for Phoebe in S1-3 unless she was able to work odd jobs here and there enough to have stable income to use...or I guess it is possible that Grams had life insurance and we know she liked them stocks! So it is possible they got more than just the house to help tide them over. Paige however...perhaps her parents left her money upon their death? But to have Paige go to college, be so independent, have a good job and then throw that all away to work odd jobs here and there...didnt she dog walk at one point in time? Made no sense.
  21. I have to laugh that every season it seemed like the Whitelighter mythology got more and more worse. It was a great concept but changed at the drop of a dime (and the reboots version isn't any better) S1 they are supposed to be a secret and their charges aren't supposed to know about them. S2 Patty knows and was in love with her Whitelighter S3. Leo reveals he looked after them since Pre-Charmed S4 Leo reveals he watched them since their birth. He's supposed to be able to look over them from above but is always asking for info when they call him. S5 Elders can retire and their essence selects someone worthy of being an Elder no matter the age. They dont have powers out the ass....Then Leo just becomes an Elder and has powers out the ass. S6 they descend from the heavens like its nothing. For all of the missed storylines..TCO having a real, full time Whitelighter who wasn't family was a missed opportunity. And the witches that we saw die in s3&4 apparently had no whitelighter that they knew of lol. Dont even get me started on Paige as a whitelighter....
  22. After finishing S4....I dont plan on buying S5+ individually on blu-ray and waiting for the German complete series to come in....its actually kind of perfect to watch S5 on Peacock. The lack of theme song really helps drive home that from this point, Charmed is now Charmed 2.0. The writers are barely trying to create a good show, they have no idea what they want to do with Phoebe/Cole and just repeat their storyline in every.single.episode. "Phoebe, I'm not evil" "you are evil Cole, stay away from me!" It's pretty bad when your actor asks to be killed off because he's so tired of paper thing storylines. Paige spends her first season with a very steady job and she gets a promotion in 5x01 and then by the end of 5x02..."I'm quitting so I can be a witch full time" such a shame. Unlike Prue who fully embraces her witchyness in S3 to a very dangerous degree and pushing her sisters to be at their best so they can survive the big fight....Paige fully embraces her witchyness and its puppy dogs and fairy tales. But she is essentially the only witch in the family since Phoebe is more about her work and Piper is focused on her magical baby that is already super powerful in the womb and of course..not Melinda. Thus far there are some good moments that you have to grab on and hold onto, most notably Paige meeting Grams in the flesh and the awkwardness of it for the both of them. Little moments like that remind us that Paige isnt a Halliwell even though the writers dont want you to remember that 99% of the time. I hate The Bay Mirror and Phoebe becoming this uber successful local celebrity of an advice columnist. S1-4.5 Phoebe would've probably balked at the idea and would've chosen a different job. And its just ridiculous that Phoebe would want any type of limelight after AHBL. I'm currently on the Superhero Episode and if Shannen wanted to quit during S3 for various reasons...she would've walked out after reading the script for this episode. This also introduces The Elders...in person...ugh. Why the hell does a DEAD person need to retire? And why would a 13 year old become an Elder? It was such a stupid storyline that of course went nowhere and had zero impact to the show. The Eyes Have It is one of the best episodes of the season (that I can remember going based off of memory), its old school Charmed and this could've been a glorified backdoor pilot if I didnt know any better. Shame the writers drop everything after the episode as if it never happened.
  23. Which is fine but its not something they discovered they had to do with trial and error.
  24. One thing I always disliked is that they treated Po3 w/Paige the same as it was w/Prue. Should they still be able to utilize it and vanquish demons? yes. But it should be a bit harder and weaker as their relationship just isnt as strong/intense as it is with the sister they grew up with. Paige being Charmed for all of 5mins and being part of vanquishing The Source makes everything they went through in S1-3 kind of for nothing. And if upper level demons (or basically any demon that looks like Belthazor since they drop it pretty quick) can only be vanquished by getting a part of their skin/blood paired with the Potion...how is it that The Source is vanquished with just a spell? It should take that + the spell + their powers to get rid of him.
  25. She's been my favorite ever since i started so i love her. While i relished the days Barbara wasn't there for an episode, it feels off when Joy misses an episode
