  1. Piper definitely became more bitter as the show went on, stepping into that new older sister/leader role wasnt the best for her. I do have to laugh that Piper was the only sister to never have gone blonde and how the show always had to write it in when they changed their hair. I know it was a major Spelling staple that he hated actresses changing their hair and they freaked out at Alyssa and Rose when they dyed theirs...its not THAT big of a deal. Both characters were established by then.
  2. David is like the new Katie or Bamford lol. I guess he's the best of both, gets to direct and act. I wonder if Bamford had a falling out with Berlanti productions....when was the last time he's directed anything for the Arrowverse? But of all the shows...they couldnt do an Argus show that is a light knock off of Suicide Squad and just called something else? Diggle playing teacher to a bunch of young 20somethings is not where the imagined the character going after Arrow.
  3. Should it go to series, David will direct the pilot. This is definitely a step down for The Arrowverse adaption's...
  4. For the most part I enjoyed it though for some reason while I watching this episode I was like "this show is so cheap" lol which I know but it just hit home for me in this episode. While they went a bit over the top with Joker Jr....they went to lowkey with Poison Ivy. I love me some Ivy, she looks great in the show, screams Poison Ivy but....our first introduction to her was a bit lackluster. I know it's a flashback but..having her walk out of the woods, do her vine gag, and then walk back into the woods was just cheap. Imagine if they had them go into the forest, calling for Ivy, she comes down on a vine swing thing and the scene plays out similarly. I know it's a bit more expensive but you gotta be a bit more colorful when you got Pam around. Mary/Alice are a great dynamic duo, I enjoy them and their little hotel bits but the writers are being a bit basic with what a "Poison Ivy" is. Ivy isn't just another person who can mind control you just by looking at you. There are pheromones involved, either you gotta smell what she's cooking or lock lips so that scene was a bit of a letdown. Ryan/Sophie/Luke are a fun team together. Good dynamics and having Ryan/Sophie/Renee team up was even better. The whole elevator scene was fun with the back and forth. That brings me to...secret identities. They just throwing them out left and right tonight! Is nothing sacred? Renee knows Batman is Bruce, Joker Jr. knows that Ryan/Luke are Bats. Could Mary really think of nothing better than to reveal their identities? Some random thoughts: We've gone the entire season with Wayne Enterprises being a ghost town, no one caring that this random chick is running things but NOW there are people who oppose Marquis being in charge? We see actual people who may work there? Are we really supposed to believe that Bruce Wayne out of everyone wouldnt have a Wayne Enterprises that is more tech heavy and hard to break into? Marquis comes in and just gives the place a giant upgrade with all these features. Out of all the baddies that Batman routinely puts in Arkham, he thinks that they couldnt handle Poison Ivy so he puts her beneath the Batcave? Where if she were to ever wake up could probably topple the place? Are they so cheap that they cant even change Montoyas hairstyle for a flashback that coincides with present day? I know they must've filmed the scene on the same day but come on now....at least change the side that its parted on!
  5. That was Shannen though. This is about child actors portraying young Prue and the OG actress that played her in S1-2.
  6. If this goes through then I definitely foresee S&L moving to HBO Max in the future. The more info that comes out, the more it looks like TheCW as we know it is on a final countdown.
  7. She looks great. I hope she sticks around through end of the season. No need for replacements if you can use the real deal.
  8. The pilot was decent, I liked all the characters we were introduced to. The only thing I worry about....is...I dont know how smart it is to have Naomi be a total mystery to the general audience? I get that we are going along with her on this mystery but not really having any spectacular heroics really happen in majority of it may have been...not the right call? But overall I enjoyed it and I'll definitely stick around to see what comes of it all.
  9. Speaking of flashbacks, I know there have been rumors that Shannen owned 10% of Charmed and Prue as a whole....which may be the case but I always found it weird how they never used flashbacks to show child Prue. Obviously they cant use pictures of Shannen or flashbacks without paying her but were they really not creative enough to think "we could at least have child Prue and bring back the actress that played her to explore more of the girls childhood"
  10. It was a decent premiere. Didnt blow my head off like the pilot but it managed to maintain the status quo of the show. I'm not really here for the whole Lois/Natalie drama since we already went through this with her dad so....it's basically repeating itself and adjusting for a mother/daughter relationship vs. husband/wife. Superman vs. America being a storyline this season is sure to set twitter ablaze since there is a population that believes that Superman should be very America first vs. a gift to the world. But I'm here for it. I'm assuming that Doomsday was the hand we saw at the end? I would've liked something a bit more than a hand lol.
  11. Everyone has reported that they have not made a profit on TheCW since it launched and with both CBS/WB having their own streaming services, they arent making the same type of money they made in past by selling the streaming rights. But Variety said it best https://variety.com/2022/biz/news/cw-sale-nexstar-streaming-walker-riverdale-shows-1235148174/
  12. If you are selling something and saying it has no profit, someone coming in and keeping everything the same isnt likely to happen. Right now CW doesnt have to pay any major fees to WB/CBS for their shows. if this deal comes through and if they sell off their portions then you go right back to renting shows and spending even more money. They'd likely revamp the network to whatever they best see fit.
  13. I believe Roswell is owned by CBS and with Riverdales Netflix popularity I dont think they can move them to HBO Max. It'd have to finish out a run on netflix.
  14. WB/CBS looking to break up. Sell off TheCW. Future for all their shows up in the air should they do so.
  15. They changed to a better animation studio and HBO didn't bother to give them the proper budget for it.
  16. Ehhhh not that excited by it if its what I think. Is Diggle the go to black guy to give pep talks to? If he's part of the plot and helping his Bat friends, cool. But if they bring him in to be a long friend of Jada and give some speech....no thank you.
  17. I just hope that Zora doesnt end up getting more to do than everyone on the ship that I cant remember their names of.
  18. We're on like a 4-5 month hiatus. I wouldnt put it past them but I will be pissed if we dont. This is of course the most annoying thing about the show...who they choose to give actual development to. Half of Gars depression arc couldve been off screen. We have skipped SO MANY essential storylines for SO MANY CHARACTERS but for some reason we need to see every step of his? We didnt need any of him in the last episode. He summed it up in this episode perfectly. I'm salty that the Wonder-fam has been totally ignored and 99% of their storyline happens off screen. All of Cassies growth has happened off screen. We didnt see her introduction, we dont know anything about her origins on screen, her relationship/breakup with Tim happened off screen, her being mature and good enough to be 2nd in command happened off screen. And I dont even want to get started on Troia. Honestly...Zatanna was barely the focus of her "arc" and it could've been condensed to 3 episodes, same with the Mars arc. 4-5 episode arcs just for half of it to be a slideshow is not enjoyable. I believe Greg/Brandon are TOP NOTCH and I love their work for the most part but they want to do toooo much with YJ and it makes the overall show suffer. They need some spin offs, DTVs to explore all these side stories that we need to get filled in on and I dont mean a video game or comic or some infograph.
  19. Just started the episode and....Eartg/Titan policy was inspired by Burnham. They really do bend over background to make her the greatest person to be born.
  20. Overall it was a decent conclusion. Not exactly how I was envisioning it but it had some great cliffhangers. Having TLO just sitting there allowing TLC to bring hell on Earth didn't make sense, that isn't any kind of balance. The fact that Vandal and Stranger had to plead with them was...what? Mary's arc about being a bit reckless with her abilities was a good one, it would've been more impactful if we saw her during her Sgt Marvel days, at least her last day. But i wasn't sure if the voice at the end was Sgt Marvel or Granny manipulating her. But im going to assume next time we see her she'll be in black. Zatanna manipulating her students into taking on the helmet of Fate is some dark stuff. All of that just to get her father back part time and willing to sacrifice other young lives even if it is part time for everyone. I expect others in the League to call her out on this. With Fate....i was expecting him to die and take on a new host but i guess this is just a best of both worlds for now. Gar...well at least his story went forward some. Still think they could've left him out of past episodes though since like Mary, like Cassie/Tim, like everyone...we don't need every single storybeat and just a summary. Conner wasn't saved by LOSH? And is in some inbetween? Interesting. Hopefully this next arc doesn't face the same issues this one has.
  21. Not sad at all lol. The CW is 99% more lazier than TheWB. They put barely anything into marketing, went with that ugly green for everything, and doesnt feel anything like The WB.
  22. I was watching some rare Charmed WB bumpers And they really didnt care about who HMC was at the beginning of the series lol. Just went straight to Shannen/Alyssa. And somehow no one noticed that they used the photo from the unaired pilot that had a much different, TALLER, Phoebe. Also I miss TheWB, CW doesnt even try.
  23. Are we surprised. The ratings soar during heated times on the show throughout the years. As far as new Republican co-host....Maybe they need to bring back a past one. Though its pretty sad that its this hard to find a level headed person who fits their basic points.
  24. Great pair of posts! I dont remember the AOL post, my mind always goes to the Teen Vogue shoot which interestingly enough has Holly talking about how the plan was for Shannen to return when they filmed AHBL http://www.hollymcombs.com/SeventeenNovember2001_4.jpg Also nice that they did so many different covers for them Of course I believe it was known that Shannen had a stipulation in her contract that she be primarily set in the center of cast photos so we definitely saw a different energy in that area when she left. The one thing missing from Season 4 is having Phoebe have a breakdown over Prues death. They put all this heavy lifting on Piper and we really got to explore her grief but Phoebe just went on with her life as if it was another normal day. Of course they played it off as Phoebe having to be the strong one (so Alyssa doesnt have to mourn her ex frenemy) but having her have just 1 scene where she's in her room alone and breaks down before putting herself back together and putting on a strong face would've been so good for her. For the most part the introduction of Paige was really good and almost effortless. For once the writers really took time to think these things through compared to later seasons where....its like they just wrote it day of. I honestly dont know why they didnt play out Long Live The Queen longer than they did. It should've been up through the finale, Pipers pregnancy could've waited.
  25. This felt like such a Star Trek episode...it was weird. We saw so many of the crew. So many of them spoke. Had actual lines and sentences. Worked together as a team instead of the usual Burnham/Booke taking over everything. We got to see other parts of the ship. My favorite episode of the season.
