  1. It looks like a Father of the Bride reboot...
  2. I think Beauty and the Beast benefited from nostalgia, a less crowded box office, and the original version not having any iconic performances (although I really liked Jerry Orbach's Lumiere...) Will Smith is no longer the movie star he once was, so filling Robin Williams' shoes was an even greater task, even though I think he has the charisma to pull it off. Plus, they have The Lion King coming out in two months, which has far more buzz. They really should have pushed Aladdin back to 2020 or even Fall of 2019 to leverage off the Lion King hype.
  3. I mean really all that petition is ever going to do is humiliate D&D. Maybe Star Wars will drop their trilogy like they dropped Colin Trevorrow. And maybe it will inspire GRRM to actually finish the books to fix the final story arc (although, I also fear that the poor response will kill any chance of the books being finished.)
  4. I just imagine them gathering for council meetings and Bran flatly saying "I'm going to go now" as his eyes roll back, and Tyrion just awkwardly going "Well, until he comes back then..."
  5. Didn't D&D announce that Ser Pounce was dead earlier this year? Or did we all collectively agree to ignore that?
  6. This. Jon and Tyrion should be toast. Jon especially, because he's a huge threat to her reign, and he's now given her an excuse to execute him. I just don't see how they logically dig themselves out of the massive crater they've created in one episode. Dany has a bigger army and a dragon. Sure, Jon stabbing Dany is a logical step at this point, but once she's dead, her massive army and dragon don't just disappear, unless we find out that she was truly the fire version of the Night King, and all of her soldiers drop dead alongside her.
  7. I’m still pretty sure she’ll appear as a (unfathomably prestine) corpse next episode. Tyrion would be able to surmise where she ended up since he crafted the escape plan, and Dany will want to make Cersei’s death unquestionable.
  8. I agree that it's wrong, but Dany has no reason to trust that Cersei isn't laying out a trap. Cersei has cried wolf before, and Dany has chosen the moral path and lost, this time she's playing dirty like Cersei. I don't see it as being a heroic moment, but I also think the motivation makes sense as opposed to "Dany is cray, y'all!" narrative that they've been painting on thick both on the show and is spumors. I'm wondering if they're both mortally wounded and Jaime gives her the mercy kill to fulfill the prophecy.
  9. Since Lena Heady sat out episode 2 and 3, she'll have to appear in episode 6 in some capacity to be eligible for award season. So even if a building collapses on her, it won't be the last we see of her... As for Dany ignoring the bells of surrender, why would she believe Cersei is actually surrendering, when Cersei has lied time and time again. It makes perfect sense that they'd keep on fighting until Cersei's head was on a spike.
  10. I firmly believe D&D had on their bucket list "Bronn casually threatens Tyrion and Jaime with a crossbow" without planning any follow through or caring how they get there. Unless Bronn kills Cersei with the crossbow, which is possibly where all the CGI budget went to.
  11. Episode 5 photos are up. Did any leaks have the Gold Company at the gate? I feel like they've all said the battle is one sided, but this looks pretty evenly matched.
  12. It was pretty heavily foreshadowed throughout season 7. Tyrion questioned who would be her heir if she couldn't produce children, Dany told Jon that a witch told her she'd never have a living child, which he questioned, and she stated that the dragons were the only children she'd ever have. Given what a clusterfuck this season has been, I wonder if D&D just sowed as many plot points as possible, so that when they finally landed on something, they could be like "See! This is what we were planning the whole time!"
  13. Is Sansa going to outbid Cersei for the Golden Company or something? Is that why they become a complete non-factor and/or change sides? All the fleaks mostly leave them out, and there's the (f)leak about Sansa meeting with the Iron Bank. Although, I have to wonder, whose money would she use? We know Cersei stole all of hers from Highgarden.
  14. They at least have a solid detail about Gendry building armor for Drogon that can be confirmed or debunked in Sunday's episode, but all of their "leaks" seem to be generic with "multiple endings" that could pretty much cover any scenario, so I'm not sure how much of it qualifies as a spoiler, when they're basically saying anyone could end up on the Iron Throne.
  15. Their spoilers seem to be out of order, with the episode 3 battle bleeding into the episode 5 battle spoilers. I doubt Jon would fight Viserion twice in the same exact manner.
  16. Drogon armor doesn't seem like that big of a speculative stretch, given Dany's recent loss, and the quantity of ballistas Cersei seems to have.
  17. If Cersei gets Jon's face, then that could explain the "Jon kills Dany" spoiler, since she knows Jon is loyal to her from the Dragon Pit meeting... she'd need to get his face though.
  18. I thought the leaker initially stated Jon killed Cersei, but then said they meant Dany. So they took back their "Jon kills Cersie" spoiler.
  19. Arya killing the Night King probably squashes the Arya killing Cersei with Jaime’s face speculation, or it makes all the other heroes completely useless this season.
  20. I feel like Jon riding a dragon should have been the confirmation, but the show decided that that wasn't a big deal.
  21. This episode was so frustrating! I just wanted them to get to the questions already! Also what the hell was Brad’s strategy doing the regular Jeopardy round instead of Double Jeopardy where he could maximize points? Can they not play the same round twice? I guess he’s banking on making the finals and will play double then.
  22. The blackface sketch just made me think of all the times SNL has done blackface. I remember Jimmy Fallon doing it for a Chris Rock impression in 1999 and Darrel Hammond was doing Jessie Jackson well through the 00’s. It just felt very pot calling the kettle.
  23. And wasn't Rami Malek at odds with Bryan Singer while he was still a part of the production? The Best Actor race certainly has gotten interesting though. I think Rami will easily take the BAFTA, but the older Academy members might skew it back to Bale like they did a few years ago when Denzel Washington won the SAG over Casey Affleck (although that race had a very different narrative...)
