  1. Back when I used to watch Supernatural, the good guys could use iron against ghosts. I don’t know if that’s ghost lore or Supernatural lore. I think every ghost except the motorcycle ghost was in the episode. It made the episode especially fun to have them all together. Found the answer: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_in_folklore
  2. When is the Tournament of Champions? If Jeopardy keeps having champions whose runs last for extended periods, they can finish the ToC in a week. I'll be honest, I don't like long term champs. I feel sorry for the other opponents. It's why I think the show should at least cover their travel expenses. I also think the camaraderie that develops between the host and the long-term champ is sometimes distracting. It happened between Mayim and Matt Amodio, too.
  3. It's probably more than all the money the people she's defeated get as a consolation prize.
  4. It depends on if Gregory is a long-term sub or just coming in when a classroom teacher is absent. I was under the impression that he was a long-term sub. The tech stuff tonight really rang true. There's always some new tech or new program that will solve every classroom problem. I'm just waiting for them to start throwing around "synchronous and asynchronous" (if you're an educator, you know). The writers have impressed me with their understanding and respect for teaching and teachers.
  5. I don't want to be an apologist for naughty behavior, but many kids have had at least a year (or more) of virtual school, which affected socialization and behavior, especially for children in elementary grades. Ben might be one of those little guys who's had a hard time adjusting to being back around other children. That said, I really think he should have been eliminated week one. Allora for the win. She's adorable.
  6. I really enjoyed the series. With so many cliff-hangers, I'm hoping there's a season 2.
  7. I wondered if those scenes were written for Victor, and the actor was unavailable at the last minute. I thought it looked like she was reading lines from a teleprompter. It’s also possible there’s a new writer trying to impose some gravitas on the ridiculous plot. Hasn’t anyone wondered why Johnny is suddenly talking like his deceased grandfather?
  8. Are the travel expenses covered for contestants? I think they need to raise the consolation prizes for second and third place to cover expenses.
  9. In the live chat thread, iMonrey asked about Anthony and Spencer's friend. I tried to respond, but the chat was closed. His name is Alex Skarlatos. While his friends were racing, Alex ran for Congress in my political district and lost to Representative Peter Defazio.
  10. A current event story about Amy that has nothing to do with whether she maintains her win-streak...but could contain clues that some might interpret as spoilery.
  11. Does Days still have a director? During the awkward fight scene, when John wielded the medal Gabriel gave him, everyone’s reactions reminded me of times I tried to get my young drama students to be involved even when they weren’t saying lines. it was also weird that everyone was okay with John taking MarDevil off, and no one insisted on coming with him.
  12. I appreciate everyone's thoughtful comments about Lani's story, but I really think the reason why she's not blaming Tamara is because Days doesn't have the money to bring the actress who plays Tamara back to the show. So many stories make no sense because storylines are dependent on a limited cast. Speaking of things that don't make sense. Why is anyone in Salem doing anything other than tracking down and exorcising Marlena?
  13. I just started Acapulco on Apple TV. Caleb Foote and Kennedy Slocum, Eddie and Wendi, are in episode two as a young couple getting engaged. They were adorable as always.
  14. You are exactly right. The Different Strokes actors were playing it like it was a real sit-com. They didn't need to sell the laughs because they worked as an ensemble to sell the story. I liked it so much more because they weren't constantly mugging and winking at the audience.
  15. Retired teacher: When teenagers in Oregon schools get concussions in sporting events, all sorts of accommodations are made to protect their injured brains. They need weeks before it is safe to have even the most gentle mental strain. If Anna had a concussion, she shouldn't have been back the next day. There was one shot of her waiting on the run way where it was obvious she should be back at the hotel taking a nap.
  16. Isaac would also be around when Hetty was growing up. She's from the 19th century; he's from the 18th century. Maybe the show was subtly trying to prevent someone at home to pull out some old chicken from the frig and think to themselves, "well they cooked it on Ghosts, so it must be okay". I do love this show and hope it's renewed. Any one know how many episodes is a 'full season' at CBS?
  17. Now that the majority of Salem's on-screen citizenry know that Marlena is possessed, why doesn't someone get a group chat going and spread the word. "Marlena is possessed. Watch out!" would save everyone a lot of trouble.
  18. Rebecca Wisocky was also Evelyn Powell in Devious Maids.
  19. I may not be able to guess Paul's motivations, but excluding one participant from his special recognition looked middle school level mean (even if that wasn't Paul's intention) to me (a retired middle school teacher).
  20. The director could have had the young woman briefly stand on a box when they were dancing. The audience never sees their feet (although we do see the older couple's very sensible footwear...and that's why I noticed the height discrepancy). I know it's silly...but attention to details matter (even in 30 second commercials).
  21. This is a sweet commercial: romantic, nostalgic, and lovely…but I have a nitpick that distracts me. In the ‘50s scene, the young man is significantly taller than the young woman; the mature couple are almost the same height.
  22. I wonder if Rebecca Wisocky is filming a movie or another series and is not available for every episode. It is odd that such a major player is absent without explanation.
  23. Reporters said the uniforms were supposed to resemble duck eggs. How quaint. Another day, another uniform.
