  1. I was bored too. Like you "street" and "contemporary" are my least favorite styles on SYTYCD. I would love to see more tap, ballet, ballroom or really anything to break up the monotony of the never-ending parade of hiphop and contemporary. I would like street and contemporary styles more if I did not have to see pretty much the same thing from each person auditioning. I used to like both styles a lot on this show, but when there is such a lack of variety in other styles of dance I grew tired of both. Outside of this show I do enjoy both contemporary and street styles. I do not know if I will make it through the auditions let alone the live shows. An unpopular opinion but I am so over Travis and Twitch. They are great dancers and seem like nice people, but SYTYCD takes a good thing and runs it into the ground.
  2. Didn't Gil say in one episode after the Zach and Whitney kiss before marriage was discussed something that once the kids were out of their house they could live by their own set of rules? It's is similar to what a lot of parents say, but I liked hearing that from him, since I have a hard time believing that Jim Bob and Michelle would be feel the same way. I also like that a lot of the older kids, both the girls and boys, have jobs or are in college (yeah it is Crown College, but I will take it). I assume it will change for the girls after they get married, but it is something.
  3. Is it bad that I would not mind seeing Josiah and Marjorie's wedding? Well, mainly because I want to see if Marjorie's family will do it up better than the previous Duggar weddings. Ok....I will reserve my seat in hell. Some of the quotes in that small article from the trooper were a bit hinky when it is known why the trooper is in jail in the first place. He said something about the young girl should have been his top priority and that he has lost sleep over the whole thing. I kept thinking really? What about all those children in the child pornography that he is in jail for. He should not be getting any sleep at all. I will admit he has nothing to lose by admitting the truth.
  4. Perfect, we all know Kanye is great with autotune!
  5. I concur. The hypnotist said he did the college circuit. My university had a hypnotist come before winter break every year. He would pick from the audience and one of my friends got picked. When Howard was getting bored by the process before anything happened, I remembered that it would take about 10 - 25 minutes where the audience could not hear the hypnotist while he was actually hypnotizing, but could see what he was doing onstage. My friend after it was all over said he felt incredibly well rested. I was with Mel that I did not liked the puppet act either. I also, did not love the two little kid dancers at the beginning. I did like Piff. I saw him with Mumford and Sons, but if I haven't when he was walking around backstage I would have thought he was just fodder. Most of the rest of the acts were fine, I just hope to see something more.
  6. One of my irrational fears is animals dressed as humans (along with garden gnomes, Irish dancing, and Thomas Kinkade paintings). I would have never pegged Choyon as someone buying outfits for cats. I did not get FJ. Hymns are not in my realm of knowledge. I was trying to go through musicals that might fit the bill, but still did not come up with it. During the "S" Words category I kept thinking to SNL Celebrity Jeopardy where Sean Connery referred to it as "Swords".
  7. I concur. I really doubt they would speak out against their family regardless. If they did speak out, then I would expect them to do their talking points about praying to God and forgiving Josh, whether they have or haven't. I guess what I am trying to say albeit poorly, is that I do not expect them to show any animosity in public or in front of Jim Bob and Michelle. Maybe in private, with the other girls, or with their spouses (Jill and Jessa) possibly, but I expect them at least in public and to the media to portray everything as perfectly fine, even when it probably is not. The same goes with Anna with whether she knew or not and how much she actually knew. I never expected her to say she did not support her husband, leave, or even get a divorce. Behind closed doors maybe she is angry and withdrawing from Josh emotionally, but in public I do not expect her to be anything but the good, supportive wife trotting out a canned statement. I would love nothing more for Anna and the girls (hell, the rest of the Duggar kids as well) to get out of dodge and distance themselves from their families beliefs. I just think it is extremely unlikely, but I hope they prove me wrong.
  8. Maybe he meant people just do not notice that it is actually Bruce. It sounded like he has friends that he goes out as Her with. I might be misremembering, but didn't Brandon say that he has been around Bruce as Her in the Diane Sawyer special? I thought I remember some of the four older Jenner's saying that. I could be not remembering correctly at all though.
  9. Did anyone think Kim was mocking Bruce when she saw that he was a size 14? Something about her tone of voice rubbed me the wrong way.
  10. Lol! Matthew reminded me of Gary on Veep with his assistant bag. I was hoping he would stand next to Todd and whisper information about the various family members as Todd spoke to them.
  11. I might be misremembering, but I thought Brandon was the spokesperson for the Jenner side, but the other Jenner kids (not Kendall and Kylie) wanted to speak as well and showed up/contacted production. So true. Kris has some romanticized version of the last few years or more of her marriage to Bruce. She treated him like crap. Maybe she liked that she could order Bruce around and such. From the old photos it looked like Kris shared a lot of Bruce's interests ( golf, ATVs, etc.). I would have never knew Kris liked Bruce's hobbies before she became a professional fame whore if I had not seen those pictures. I am sure they did have good times, but I do not think the last so many years or so of their marriage was as great as Kris is trying to paint them to be.
  12. This. I wondered if Todd and Kayla were invited to Sunday dinner or if it was just Kandi and Riley. Of course Mama Joyce had said that Kandi should call her mother more, when I believe that when Kandi and Mama Joyce had disagreements on RHoA, Mama Joyce is the one that stops talking to Kandi. As for the aunts, didn't one mention money and that it wasn't about money because she did not ask for any. So is Kandi bankrolling her aunts too? I got the impression that the aunts wanted to be a the main house with Kandi and Co. They acted like Kandi put them in a crack den or something. I thought Carmen switched the rooms at the second house so Todd's aunt and uncle did not have to climb the stairs, but that looked like the only switch she could make, besides putting them in the main house , that did not have many stairs. I thought they might have golf carts or something to get them back and forth to the main house since they were complaining about that also. I cannot stand Don Juan, and I liked Matthew. I thought he was joking with the whole foot rub nonsense and trying to get the stick out of her ass. I assume that Kayla and Riley are not super comfortable or natural around the cameras, so their conversations and activities seem stilted. Riley has been exposed to the cameras longer, but she could be in those awkward pre-teen/teen years and be more self conscious.
  13. This is how I saw it too. Kendall was upset about people saying Bruce was going away, and Khloe just lumped Kendall in with herself with all the "he lied to us" stuff. I got to say I am liking Kendall more and more. I feel like when Kim defends Kris it is always with "She cries all the time blah blah blah....". I believe she has thrown it out there before when any of the siblings get mad at Kris. How much of a hand does Kris have in these episodes, because I feel like I am about to get the Kardashian spin a la Kris Humphries with Kris' reactions. Stupid question, but is this the docu-series that Bruce was going to have about his transition or is it just these two episodes that are under the regular Keeping up with the Kardashians season?
  14. I would have figured that Kris would have given Kylie more media training. She came off so awkward in most of the interviews they showed, especially the first one at the premiere of her extension line when asked about her lips. People have been speculating about her lips and other possible cosmetic work for awhile. I would not have thought it would be that big of a shock for someone to ask her about it. I am surprised Kris did not give her some sort of stock answer to spout off. It looked like when Kylie was asked about her lips that she was searching for something to say. I hope those long pauses were not as long as they looked. I know! Talk about a flat personality. I can see personality in Kendall, Kourtney (even with her sort of monotone), and Khloe. Kylie has nothing. For me, her "style" comes across as trying too hard.
  15. Drink every time the word "insecure" was thrown out. I feel like this episode was damage control. It was like they were hitting the viewers over the head to think that Kylie has low self esteem, which she might. She does seem to enjoy taking selfies judging from her instagram, so she must have some self esteem. I thought it was interesting in all the conversations about Kylie being insecure and her lips, no one mentioned that she was 17 years old getting fillers, even though they are temporary. Kris was absent this episode. The Kardashian spin is like whiplash. It is like if they believe their own spin and talking points, then it makes it true.
  16. Kylie always seems so disinterested in everything to me. She has conversations with her family and she seems so bored with everything and everyone. The family and Kendall say that Kendall is shy and reserved and I think it was a lame plot point of an episode in a past season, but at least I see personality in her. Hell, Kendall had more personality eating those blueberry muffins than I have ever seen in Kylie. I too laughed at Kim saying during the video shoot that if North saw her she would run toward her. Kim, North would only run toward you if her nanny was standing behind you. I might think Kanye's song was nice, but the autotune kills it for me.
  17. These days I prefer Chicago PD to Chicago Fire. It seems more balanced, but I am growing tired of the crossovers. I do not mind seeing a character or two pop up between the two shows, because it makes sense that they would overlap a bit, but I think they are overdoing the crossovers. Also, I do not have to deal with Super!Awesome!Firefighter!Medic!ScoobyDooInvestigator!Gabby on PD. Really how many times do I have to deal with Gabby being the hero? It gets old. I am not sure about the new medic yet. I did eventually warm up to the actress on Friday Night Lights, so I will see.
  18. Me either! When I was on college I forgot to remove the cardboard from a frozen pizza one time. Possibly a mandoline slicer.
  19. She wasn't my favorite character, but I liked her and preferred her over Blair and the never-ending Chuck drama. I do not think Blake Lively was a terrible actress either. My Gossip Girl UO is that my favorite character was Jenny. My interest in the show after she left went way down. I have only seen bits and pieces of the last couple of seasons.
  20. It was nice to see Burt and Casey, along with Brody and Brandon. Obviously Brandon was their spokesperson, but it was nice to see and hear from Bruce's kids minus Kendall and Kylie. Of what Bruce mentioned of the Kardashian side, I thought it was interesting that Khloe was taking it the hardest, because she seems the most open minded. Though I wonder how Rob really is taking it. Of course Kim is taking it the best, even if she still seems like a bitch to Bruce on the show. I wish Bruce the best.
  21. Can Human Pudding open for Stephanie's possible band? Please? They are human and pudding!
  22. It was a strange non-conversation. Lisa was trying to explain herself and Kim dismissed it as her bringing up the past. Did Lisa say she already apologized for the texts before this conversation took place? I thought she mentioned it, but I might have misheard. It is like Kim wanted Lisa to grovel and paint her as so unstable that she wants to physically hurt Kim.
  23. Ophelia is a bore. I think it is more of the way the character is written as opposed to casting. The character is just so vanilla. She needs some spark or charisma. This is a case when I hate pre-determined love interests. Hell, Liam has more chemistry with his sister than Ophelia. I like Eleanor and Jasper, but I found myself really liking Eleanor and Beck. I thought Eleanor had chemistry with both Jasper and Beck. I would like Beck to show up again. I wouldn't mind seeing a flashback episode where we saw everyone's relationship with Robert.
  24. Didn't Nene last season or so look down on acting lessons? I forgot her reason as to why she did not want to take any lessons or classes. Though I might be not remembering the whole thing correctly.
  25. I do not think I would have minded her so much if I thought she was interesting, but she bored me. I was trying to figure out why Don was so enamored with her. Also, they did no favors by having an episode that heavily featured her and Megan and her family. That is a snooze worthy episode for me. My Mad Men unpopular opinion is that I do not care one way or another if we see or hear from Sal again. I liked the character, but was fine with the way his story ended.
