  1. I agree! It is nice to see The Americans get some love as well.
  2. I think the Variety/Talk Show category is pretty deep. So I cannot really be mad at any of the possible winners.
  3. I like James Cordon, but not a fan of The Late Late Show. I will be at my table for one for one for not wanting Taraji to win an Emmy for Empire. I love her, but I am the one person who hates Empire. It is very soapy. I know, I am the worst.
  4. I believe Top Chef broke it a few years ago, but I could be wrong.
  5. I always lose interest in The Voice after the auditions. I was hoping for an Amazing Race or Top Chef win.
  6. I love Julia, but I really want Amy Poehler to win. I am glad it wasn't Amy Schumer, because while I like her views on issues and such, I just do not think she is that funny.
  7. I actually do not mind the presenter schtick, even though I can see how people can dislike it. I guess I prefer it over scripted teleprompter stuff that the Emmy crew writes even if it is unfunny. At least I can mock the unfunny people.
  8. I wish, but I believe Veep took some of the acting awards a year or so ago and Modern Family still won. Didn't Transparent win a lot of Golden Globes? They could always take it over Modern Family too. Mocking "Girls", I love it Andy.
  9. I would love to see Jon Hamm actually win, but I think it is doubtful. I find that I always root for the people who never get Emmys like Steve Carell and Martin Sheen. I would love everyone if Andre Braugher won.
  10. I liked the opening number too. I find Andy's monologue amusing also. Is it bad that I would watch "Dick Whitman Horny Hobo"?
  11. I feel like if Swapnil had said a lot of arrogant comments in front of the judges we would have seen them before now. I would think they would have included them and possibly give him a villain edit in earlier episodes if he was that arrogant, especially with the judges. We all know a reality show loves a villain. I also wonder why the editors would not show Zac critiquing Swapnil in an earlier episode, if they were going to use him saying that "he was tired of this with him" in this episode. It might have given some context to Zac's comments. Swapnil has been pretty consistently in the top (not sure about the first challenge), so I wonder what he would say on the runway that would be so bad. I do not think I have ever seen anyone be belligerent with the judges when they were in the top. I would hope most contestants would nod their head and say "thank you" a lot and basically be professional if they were in the top three. I know we do not see all the judging, but I would also think that Swapnil would not be mentioning his only trying to stay safe theory with the judges. I do not know, but the comments from Zac seemed to be out of nowhere. I really wish they would give more time with the challenges in general, but especially the unconventional materials challenges. I think we might see less of gluing stuff to muslin if that was the case.
  12. Miss Dianna mentioned her briefly when she acknowledged Sunjai and Kayla graduating. She and some others are also graduating. I thought Mimi was rude with her talking head after Michayla was chosen as captain for the week. I am assuming that Camryn got the captain position or else I would have seen Mimi's head explode all the way over here in Chicago. If there is another season I will not be looking forward to watching Mimi and Camryn continue to be smug and entitled.
  13. This. The whole thing came out of nowhere. Like you, I was thinking Swapnil has been very consistent throughout the competition thus far, so Zac saying he was tired of this with him left me puzzled. Now if he was talking about Joseph or some other person who was in the bottom a lot I would understand, but Swapnil has been in the top a lot. I kind of agree with this, because with immunity still up for grabs I would think all would want to win. If they were having a hard time with the challenge I could see someone phoning it in and hoping to be safe, but overall I would think they would want immunity and possibly if the challenge offered a good prize. I knew Kelly would win because it was so Heidi. I loved Ashley's dress the best. I did think Lindsey's dress was dull, but not as dull as Joseph's. What did Lindsey say about the judging while the were in the waiting area after the critique? I got a phone call during that bit.
  14. Didn't Christine's mom leave her dad? So is she eternally tied to him forever even if she does not want to be with him?
