  1. I am so annoyed that tptb are going to force Meredith with Andrew when this episode is yet another example of how entertaining Meredith and Koracick's interactions are. Of the men they've thrown in front of her this season, she has the best chemistry with Tom Koracick. He even made her laugh with an anecdote about Derek! "He thought it was fitting that my name had the word 'ass' right smack in the middle of it." Shame that it is going to go to waste. The more they mention April, the more I miss her. Whatever they are doing with Jackson and Maggie, it's hard to believe that they got rid of April "the roadblock" for this. Richard going off at the bar was a great moment. I'm glad to see him getting a story with great substance again.
  2. Well that's good to know, because I have no desire to watch Station 19 and now I feel a bit more prepared for when it's brought up. Tptb should not assume that all Grey's Anatomy fans also watch Station 19. I just want Miranda to be happy and thrive. Ben's multiple job changes have been annoying enough as it is, and I rather she be free from that stress than be a character reduced to hemming and hawing over her husband all of the time. Thank you for sharing this info.
  3. They're Calzona 2.0 because Ortho fellow is now blowing off annoying intern because he has little experience being with a guy, just like Arizona blew off Callie and called her a newborn when she found out Erica was her first time with a woman. That's not being shallow, that's pointing out the show's propensity to recycle plot lines. Every couple, gay or straight, are not the same, yet tptb have chosen to rip off a plot used for their prominent same-sex couple (Calzona) and establish it for this new one.
  4. I miss all of the great characters who are gone. Grey's Anatomy used to be so good. Thatcher hasn't been around in years and he and Meredith aren't even close, so why kill him off? My money is on the plot being used to bond Meredith and Andrew since it was hinted in an earlier episode that something was up with his dad. Yawn. I hope Jo is eventually successful in hooking Link and Meredith up. I'd also take Koracick. Any non-resident grown up man at this point would be more suitable than Andrew. Though the apparition of Derek saying "hey" puts any potential conquest to shame. Calzona 2.0 with annoying intern and the Ortho fellow is a no. Can Betty go home to her parents now?
  5. Bess is a superwoman. One of the best leading ladies on television, as far as I'm concerned. I don't understand why Kat randomly mentioned that she's queer during her conversation with the senator. What does her identity have to do with anything? Blake hasn't mentioned his sexuality but maybe twice in all his years on the show, while Kat waltzes in and that is all she is: a token. Representation certainly is important but if the most interesting thing about a character is how they sexually identify then the writers are doing something wrong. Needless to say, I did not mind her absence in the first few episodes.
  6. The show is really laying it on thick that Meredith is the best thing since sliced bread. Props to Teddy for at least stating that Maggie's license would be in jeopardy for having broken HIPAA. That's about as much repercussion the offense will get. I don't care one iota about Owen and Amelia's foster family stuff. Teddy's been in love with Owen for so long, and coupled with the fact that tptb chose to bring her back after all these years (while cutting other prominent characters), I'd like to see them end up together. So they're having random jam sessions in Joe's bar now? insert laughing gif here
  7. All these heavy-handed hints at a Meredith/Andrew relationship are equal parts hilarious and horrendous. Just a bad idea all around. And the writers are being about as subtle about it as a stampede. I see no logical reason as to why Meredith, widowed mother of three, would go for a twenty-something 3rd year (?) resident as her Next Great Love. Andrew Deluca has been floundering around the show for the past three years, and I don't recall him and Meredith interacting much if at all until very late in season 14. He dated Maggie, had a crush on Jo, and the girl he loved fled to work for Meredith's best friend in Zurich. So who told the powers that be that he is suitable to be the central character's love interest? As if the dream with them in bed together in the premiere wasn't cringe-worthy enough. I'm just really bothered by the idea of it all. What happened to this show? Of course Maggie told Meredith about Teddy, I don't think she has any other friends outside of the so-called Sisterhood. I missed Tom Koracick. He should be in every episode.
  8. From my personal standpoint, no one is ever going to be a good match for Meredith except for Derek. Having said that, I rather she be with a grown man than youngin' Andrew Deluca. So good luck, new guy!
  9. Good start to the season. Henry needs to man up and get comfortable with the fact that his wife's career is in a very particular and powerful position that he can't weasel around. I enjoyed the scene with the former Secretaries of State and thought is was nicely executed. It wasn't until after the credits rolled that I realized sore thumb Kat Sandoval was missing from the episode. She really is inconsequential to the show. RIP June.
  10. They only acknowledged it, conveniently right before Meredith enters the scene and Meredith/Andrew make weird eyes at each other, so that Maggie could verbally declare that they are old news and it wouldn't bother her if he hooked up with her sister (speaking about Amelia but tptb so clearly mean Meredith).
  11. It's funny that they need two Ortho men to fill the void left by Callie Torres. Callie would've at least tried to save that patient's fingers before cutting them off. I could get on board with Amelia/Andrew or Amelia/Link. It feels like tptb are trying to work a slow build and long game with Meredith/Andrew, which I do not support. She's a single mother of three and should be able to do better than a third year resident/her half-sister's sloppy seconds. Owen is always overstepping the decisions and authority of his female peers (while yelling at them!). And I'm supposed to care about his love life? Jesse Williams was in Toronto filming a movie for a bit, but they really got lazy if this is the best they could come up with for Jackson's absence. I hope Roy stays fired this time. Tom Koracick is my favorite thing about the season so far.
  12. I thought the pilot was charming and I found myself laughing out loud at a few moments. I plan on tuning in.
  13. Out of all the guys they threw at Meredith in the premiere, she had the best chemistry with Koracick. Shut up Owen. In the span of 11 weeks, he went from flying to Germany to profess his love for Teddy to being all in with Amelia. He doesn't know what he wants. If both women were smart, they'd run far away from him. However, if him and Teddy don't ultimately end up together then why even bring her back? I don't care how they intend to tell this love triangle story that they claim will be "so different", guarantee we've seen it all in other iterations from the past.
  14. Teddy calling out the Sisterhood and pointing out that Maggie and Amelia are not actually sisters was the best. I've been screaming that at my television since the birth of that trio (season 12?).
  15. I believe that she was invited back last season, if not they wouldn't have resorted to having Callie send Arizona a text message. And I never believed Shonda's claim that CBS said no because Johnny Galecki of Big Bang Theory fame was able to film an episode of Roseanne (for those unaware: BBT is on CBS, Roseanne was on ABC). His character on BBT is a lead vs. Sara's character on Madam Secretary who is about as revered as the new interns on Grey's. Maybe Shonda was trying to save face and not throw Sara under the bus. And maybe CBS isn't too happy with Sara for letting them take the fall. I dunno, but it doesn't matter at this point. Callie's not coming back without Arizona. They pretty much closed out both of their stories in the season finale. It's just too bad Sara wasn't there, for whatever reason, to be a part of it.
  16. Nathan > Lawrence. Of course the ex shows up when one has finally moved on and is finding some happy. If they can close the book on Issa/Daniel, they can close the book on Issa/Lawrence. Issa with the pans as a call back to Tanisha from Bad Girls Club? Genius. And I cried laughing when Kelli said "F it" and took off running before getting tased. The ferris wheel sex was hot as hell. Best episode of the season so far.
  17. I really hope Angela doesn't die. There are a list of people who need to go before her: Dre, Tariq, Sax... Tasha and Tommy were wrong for how they treated Angela. She saved their ass, she should be getting a thank you not her life threatened. If she survives, I hope she tells Ghost that they cornered her in her apartment. Although not sure that's going to matter much now that Tommy shot her. Ghost is going to be on a rampage. Tommy's problem is that he let Kanan and Teresi in his head too much and that tainted his brotherhood with Ghost. It's been brewing since last season. Ghost refused to flip on Tommy, but Tommy is real quick to turn on Ghost. Not sure how they come back from this, if ever. Tasha is a terrible friend to Keisha.
  18. Dennis passed before part 1 aired but weeks after they filmed the reunion. They put the in memoriam up tonight because he was mentioned during this part of the reunion.
  19. If this is supposed to redeem Tariq, I'm unfazed. Props to him for using some sense for once and listening to his mom, but he's such a little asshole. And I doubt we'll ever be free of him because the show won't eliminate another St. Patrick child. But can't he be sent to a boarding school far far away? lol I liked Tasha and Angie working together. At this point, Ghost and Tasha's marriage is one of convenience and they know where they stand.
  20. Look at Slurinda eyeing her glass. She looks far too excited to take a drink.
  21. Same. And not that she doesn't deserve to date, have fun, and find love again. But it was rather striking hearing her say in the funeral clip how she hasn't been alone since she was 20, and so six months* after her husband dies she's already dating someone else? I find that a bit alarming only because of her previous statement. But I wish Jill well all the same, and I won't be surprised if a year from now she gets her NYC apple back. *ETA: I thought I read that she - or someone - specified time frame. ??
  22. I'm annoyed that it appears that the murder is what really happened. I don't have much interest in the prospect of season 5 being a murder mystery, been there done that. And how successful can that really be since she was cremated? I also find it pretty lazy that they used the ol' trope of a 'screwed up military vet' being responsible for the crime. Cole running away with the urn was...silly. But he's not wrong: Alison would want to be buried with Gabriel. However Cole, while Alison may have made you happy, there came a point where you didn't make her happy. It's not just Noah's fault that Alison hasn't been your wife for a long time. I hope Helen is back in NY for the final season.
  23. Well, as expected, Krista just burst my she-don't-need-no-man bubble. Grey's Anatomy Twist: Meredith Will Find Love Again in Season 15
  24. I'm okay with Meredith not being wrapped up in a romantic relationship. There are so many other characters, pairings, and potential pairings that will carry that torch, and not everyone on the show needs to be paired up. Besides, for 11 seasons we've seen Meredith go through everything a relationship can go through with Derek. I think it's a nice change of pace that the female lead's story will have a different focus. All this to say, the writers are probably just biding their time until they can find something worthy enough to follow "Merder". I'm sure they have every intention of having Meredith "find love" again.
