  1. The show doesn't need anymore characters, and it certainly doesn't need any more white guys. They just upped three to series regulars (Link, Koracick, Glasses). The only bright side I see of this unnecessary addition is that it looks like Alex and Richard really will be at Pac Gen for the long haul, or else why add another Peds surgeon later in the season if the hospitals merge and/or Alex goes back to GSMW. And I'm all for more Pac Gen (Pac North?), as the years in this show have made a mockery out of the formerly fantastic Seattle Grace.
  2. Except he didn't seem to care all that much about her community service when he was asking her to ditch earlier that morning. I'm not defending Meredith's bs at all, but Deloser doesn't get a cookie either. The man is wishy-washy at best.
  3. Do the writers not realize how utterly insufferable they make Maggie or do they think it's a charming character trait? Whichever it is, at the very end when Maggie was talking to Miranda about the pregnancy and flat out asked if this was going to be a secret, I almost threw my remote at the TV. As it is, Maggie is the worst person to be the first to know anyone's personal medical information because she can't keep a secret to save her life - HIPAA doesn't exist in her world. But the audacity of her to be so selfish in the middle of Miranda's shock at her results. Honestly, the only time I ever liked her was when she was dating her sister's current lover back in season 12.
  4. He's not going to drop her, she's his meal ticket! Deloser literally has nothing else going for him but being Meredith's suitor. I agree, she is a pompous ass. The worst thing Cristina ever did was tell Meredith that she's "the sun". She's not. But the meat head is no better and certainly not good for her. This is where Koracick would've been great... instead of being OOC over Owen/Teddy, he could be snarking the hell out of Meredith but also level with her and put things in perspective. If Meredith must have a lovah, it should be someone who challenges her and is on her level.
  5. Krista is foolish and will no doubt force Meredith with the man child til the bitter end of the series, but I really want Meredith to come to her senses and drop Deloser. She said it herself, he doesn't know her. Playtime in the kiddie pool needs to be over. I don't know what tptb are doing with beloved Miranda "the Nazi" Bailey. Why are they so against showing a kickass female Chief of Surgery? We know Miranda has it in her. Amelia and Link's relationship is really the best thing about this season so far. And Pac-Gen is a saving grace.
  6. Looks like it's going to be a spiral season for Teresa. However, if I'm supposed to feel any sympathy for her, I don't. (the kids, on the other hand... their parents really did a number on them with their selfish decisions.) I love that Marge Sr. got a job and moved to the city. lol Good for her! Ugh, Danielle... go away.
  7. Angelina is not my favorite person (Paulie and The Situation 2.0 are), but Jenni's a freaking jerk. She's never needed a reason to hate Angelina. Angelina is her punching bag, and that she even referred to her as a "friend" in her Instagram post after the episode is laughable and hypocritical - which Jenni has been a lot of this season. Her man - who had already overstepped by the pool - screwed up, not Angelina. Yes, Angelina was dancing up on him a bit, but it seemed like she was keeping things fun and in good faith since they'd just squashed their beef over dinner. But he didn't have to put his arm around her waist and touch her ass - which may have been unintentional and innocent. But putting his hand on her leg and then his arm around her in the elevator was intentional and the look in Angelina's eyes said it all. I can see Angelina treading lightly with this situation, given how quick Jenni is to get on her case. But I hope Jenni feels stupid after watching the episode and seeing the response she's been getting - which haven't all been favorable. Snooki wasn't even there, but in the promo she's even going after Angelina. I'm curious to see what Deena has to say, if she says anything at all. If nothing else, this is a bad look on Jenni because she presents herself as someone who's not a girls girl. Her only sisterhood is with Snooki, really. And you know 24's actions are super suspect when even Vinny takes Angelina's side. I doubt Jenni will even apologize to Angelina, but I think the Staten Island Dump deserves one.
  8. Maybe instead of adding yet another new resident, they pay more attention to Casey Parker. This show loves to pat itself on the back for it's diversity, yet they have a trans actor playing a trans character who they basically ignore.
  9. GHAT DAMMIT Saxe was so close to getting his! I figured it was only a matter of time before Lakeisha got killed, but there's a list of people that need/deserve to go before her. I feel bad for Cash. Tariq is not worth the headache, y'all!
  10. I just saw that Krista tweeted: So that's that.
  11. The thing, for me, about Qadri being fired is that Qadri pretty much asked for it. She basically told - yelled at - her Chief that the only reason why she chose Grey Sloan was to work with Meredith Grey. And then she proceeds to complain about Meredith not being there, despite the fact that Meredith very much deserved to be fired despite everyone else's opinions. So I don't fault Miranda for being like "okay, you have a problem working here when Meredith's not? Kick rocks!" Having said that, in terms of the residents, I do like Qadri - second to Casey Parker, who is terribly underused. Can the both of them go over to Pac Gen, too? Meredith sure is taking advantage of her probation and community service. The optics of how tptb are handling this reeks of rich white privilege. They want to have their cake and eat it too - Meredith is suffering consequences but is still getting to skate by on certain things that no other offender could. "But it's Mer! She's the lead! She can't be in that much trouble..." Well she's also hyper privileged and for a show that's recently been stuck on highlighting real life social issues, surely someone in the writers room can see that White Savior Meredith to the underprivileged isn't exactly appealing, all while she complains about her current circumstances. Because when this is all over, she gets to go back to her charmed life.
  12. BTW, Grey's ripped themselves off with the old couple love story. 😂 They told a variation of that story (and much better, too!) in season 6 episode 22. In season 6, that couple (the patients) and their story affected so many of the characters. This one was just more fodder for Maggie.
  13. I am fully a fan of Link. What a standup guy and gentleman. And he makes Amelia more likable for me. (I always thought she was better on PP than Grey's). I just can't stomach Meredith with Deloser. I can't do it. And this is shaping up to be yet another season of the show trying way too hard to make him happen. He needs to back up off Miranda Bailey. Hate her or love her, she is his superior - the Chief at that! - and he has done nothing remarkable as a resident to warrant being so cocky. He also seemed so out of place to be present when Amelia and Link were sharing their news with Meredith - tptb must have a short memory, as it wasn't so long ago that those two were "fighting" for Meredith's affections. (Meredith lost, btw). I like Pac Gen, and I hope Alex and Richard stay there and manage to succeed for as long as possible before tptb take this away from us. It's refreshing to have a change of scenery, and plus that hospital is devoid of the likes of Maggie, Contacts et al. Koracick was such a great character last season, that they're making him a complete tool in favor of Owen is such a waste. He could be swooping Meredith off of her feet instead but alas...
  14. And Lakeisha's the only one with sense this episode. The only one not buying Tariq's bull.
  15. This is a terrible final season. Everyone is stuck on stupid. Tommy and Ghost's brotherhood was one of the best things about the show, and leaving them at odds and propping up Tariq of all people (for the spinoff I guess?) is just a mess. Why hasn't that boy gotten his ass beat and then sent off to military school or something? They're really letting a 16 year old getting the jump on them. So dumb. The best thing about Power Sundays for me is the intro. lol
  16. It's been no secret from the get-go that Jackson and Maggie were not widely well received. Unfortunately, I think this overtly tense breakup is smoke-and-mirrors, and that the goal is to eventually bring them back together again. As if we're supposed to believe that they so strongly dislike each other because of the raging inferno of passion that they have for one another - or some ridiculous nonsense like that. Hopefully I'm wrong and tptb have come to their senses to let that pairing stay dead, but as of now I'm skeptical.
  17. She's not though. That's just what whiney Deloser assumed because Mr. Cocky didn't get the chance to take lead on the surgery. Miranda telling him that he should've beaten Intern Amy Shumar - a second year resident - by more than one second was her way of saying that the young resident earned this opportunity while at the same time letting him know that he, a fifth year, needs to do better. He's too busy with his head up Meredith's ass that he automatically assumes he's good at everything. He isn't. Miranda wasn't wrong in giving the second year her first shot, she needed to start somewhere. And Deloser's had many opportunities. This is a teaching hospital, after all, and the last person who should be telling Miranda how to do her job is Meredith's boyfriend. Link is a good guy, a good character, and good for Amelia. At least one person at Grey Sloan isn't hypnotized by Meredith Grey's (faux) greatness. I would love it if Alex and Richard stayed at the other hospital indefinitely and turned that place around, giving Grey Sloan competition. That'd be far more interesting than what will predictably be another hospital merger. @Lady Calypso: White savior Meredith is definitely not a good look.
  18. That whole thing was so dumb. I know it's the show's attempt to hammer home that Amelia! Is! Bisexual! after 4+ seasons of not saying anything about it, but all the scene really did was prove that Sister Deloser existence is purely shallow.
  19. Good riddance to Jackson and Maggie. Will it stick? Who knows because the show's been renewed through season 17. Just hook her back up with Deloser and let's call it a day. Meredith looks ridiculous being reduced to a cougar, and Deloser - who's about as compelling as a wilting house plant - hasn't done anything in the 4+ seasons he's been around to warrant being cocky. Maggie's juvenile enough to be with the boy toy. Another pregnancy? Groundbreaking. Though Link and Amelia are one of the very few enjoyable pairings currently on the show, so maybe it will give them good material. I hope the intention isn't to waste Koracick on waiting for Teddy. I'd love it if Saint Meredith lost her medical license, but I doubt tptb will go through with it. She was a much better character when she had better characters to interact with (Cristina, Derek, Lexie, Mark) - Alex is busy with Jo, Richard is stuck propping up Catherine.
  20. That'd be impressive, if not a little desperate of him seeing as he's now on Dancing With the Stars (IIRC Masked Singer is pre-taped, right?). He can't be that hard up to participate in two reality competition shows in the same cycle, can he?
  21. The episode title is very apropos to the state of the show.
  22. If Tariq, Dre and Saxe survive the series, I will be unhappy. Those three stooges have got to go.
