  1. ITA. I love Milo and I do think Jack is an integral part of the show - meaning all of the Pearsons have their purpose and it all works together. However, tptb should've either waited to kill off Jack - or reveal how he died - later in the series, or have done 10-13 episode seasons which would extend what they did produce to 4 or 5 seasons and wrap things up then. Speaking for myself, things are getting a bit too stagnant. Like, what's the endgame here?
  2. If the show cared about the characters and ending, it would've ended a long time ago. And that's just the truth. From a CREATIVE standpoint, just because it still holds up in ratings and makes a bunch of money doesn't mean it should still be on the air. That Grey's is in it's 16th season with a season 17 renewal is a business decision, period. And as others pointed out, the only character/ending they even remotely care about now is Meredith's. And that's because the woman who plays her holds the cards in determining how much more tptb can squeeze out of this known entity. But YMMV.
  3. Oh, that makes sense. Thanks for clarifying for me!
  4. Am I forgetting that Tommy has another brother? When Paz was meeting with Jamie's estate planner, Tommy's mom first walked out and said she couldn't wait to tell her "other son"...? Anyway, these episodes leading up to the finale are filler and don't feel like Power at all. And I'm going to be super annoyed if the conclusion is the Tariq did it, which I suspect, and he'll get away with it because of the spin-off. As if we're supposed to really buy into that spoiled little punk being smart and savvy enough to outsmart everyone. Pass.
  5. That's it, Ellen? As the "leading lady" and a producer, I expected more from her. But then again, I also think that she is part of the problem. Worst thing the show ever did was have Cristina tell Meredith that she is "the sun", because now the show - both on screen and behind the scenes - has taken that as gospel. But as much as Meredith is the show's namesake, she isn't to Grey's what Olivia Pope is to Scandal or Annalise Keating is to HTGAWM. Because any episode of Grey's can get away with merely 5 minutes of Meredith screen time, while Olivia and Annalise are in practically every other scene on their shows. There is a difference, and the biggest of all is that Grey's has always been an ensemble. That is, until the show decided to completely switch gears in season 12 and make everyone bow to Meredith's greatness. I don't know, something smells rotten in Denmark and quite frankly I don't think the trio of Ellen, Debbie and now Krista are exactly innocent in this latest departure. Yes, Debbie is a legend in the industry, but I don't think it's a coincidence that the show's shift coincided with when she started having a heavier presence both in front of and behind the camera. (I remember watching an interview with Loretta Devine, who played Adele Webber, and she hinted that Debbie was the influence for Adele going bye-bye. And that was back in season 9 before Debbie had as much control as she has now!) In any case, I don't for one minute think Justin blindsided tptb. Whatever happened, tptb were very much aware and they just dropped the ball in handling Alex's story and another big cast departure. It is possible that maybe sometime in the remainder of the season they'll fashion a better goodbye for him - even if it has to be an info dump - but ever since Derek died, the show has seemed to want to handle big exits (so no, not Stephanie) as out of site, out of mind because I think they think fans would move on easier that way. But on a show that's already been limping in quality and characters, Alex's absence is going to leave an even bigger hole. I mean what genuinely good rootable couples are left? Other than Ben and Bailey, who have always been on solid ground and now he's on Station 19, Grey's in now devoid of the big sweeping epic couples. At one time the show had like six! There's no more Jolex - even if they somehow keep them together with Alex gone, there's no more story for them. Amelia and Link seemed to be on their way but because of Krista and the writers obsession with giving Owen all the babies, that pure pairing appears on the brink of destruction. And whether or not one tolerates Meredith with Andrew DeLuca, that they aren't universally liked is lackluster for the lead character's love life. Shonda's made her own messes with Grey's, this we know. But I have to think that as a storyteller, somewhere deep down - beyond the millions and millions of dollars she continues to make off of Grey's despite having left the reigns in another's hands - she is disappointed in how her first baby has turned out. That she acknowledges, even if just to herself in secret in the quiet of the night, that this wasn't how she envisioned things for her Grey's Anatomy.
  6. *used to be, anyway. It doesn't appear that Sara has kept in contact with anyone from the show, past or present, since she bolted. Her focus is elsewhere with others now. I don't necessarily believe Page Six's claim, at least not in the sense that he is struggling or is unhealthy. If that was the major issue, why wouldn't we be hearing from the show/cast wishing him well? They can do that without being specific as to why he's leaving. And it must be more than that or else Justin could've just taken a leave of absence. I think the departure came first and his stint at the facility followed. 15 years playing the same character can have an affect on someone, and it may not be so easy to transition out of and shake off (everyone and every mind is different). Not to mention dealing with the unknown in "what comes next". The article stating that "there is a lot going on with Grey's Anatomy behind the scenes right now" made me laugh. What else is new! Just my opinion, and I wish Justin well regardless of the reasons for his exit. I really hope it's nothing health-related and is instead him wanting to be free to spread his creative wings.
  7. Sara doesn't have tea. But going off of her past tweets, she's seemed to have had a chip on her shoulder towards Grey's for a few years now. Why? Who knows. I think she's just being petty for attention, it's not like she has anything else going on. Having said that, it doesn't mean that there isn't some bts issue connected to Justin's departure. I just don't believe that Sara knows anything about it.
  8. There goes the best male character (currently) on the show. Much respect to Justin, though. He's so talented and Grey's has been underutilizing him for years while propping others (*cough* Deloser, Glasses). I can't wait to see what he does next and will definitely be following his career. Curious how Alex will exit. As long as they don't kill him off, I'm good. But what will be of Jolex? Assuming Camilla doesn't leave, I find it hard to believe that they'd allow them to remain a couple while Alex is off screen when they wouldn't extend that same courtesy for the flagship MerDer. Wonder if this means Cristina's new Peds "present" to Meredith will stick around? Ratings and viewership be damned, from a creative and storyline perspective, Grey's really needs to end.
  9. Ding dong Dre is gone. Thank you Francis and Spottswood! lol I just can't help but wonder how the final season would play out if they weren't catering to the upcoming spin-off. I certainly don't think things would be like this.
  10. Danielle is vile, and tonight's display played as another one of her desperate and sad attempts to get back on the show as a cast member. Teresa's an idiot for befriending and defending her. But she doesn't care so long as the person is 100% "loyal" to her.
  11. Great finale. Great performances. Jennifer Aniston's Alex is the MVP for me. I really hope Cory rehires Chip at UBA. (aside from the fact that I'm now shipping Chip/Alex so hard. lol) This episode turned Bradley around for me. First time since 1x01 that I truly enjoyed her.
  12. Kenya can't stand not being the center of attention no matter the situation and no matter how it makes her look. I don't think there's anything genuine about her - certainly not her relationship (or lack thereof) with Marc. Nene with the meats and cheeses. I think Marlo, who we've seen been on a more harmony vibe this season, helped her dictate that note because that didn't sound like Nene at all. And until she actually apologizes and takes accountability for her actions, I won't believe she's turned over a new leaf with her "spiritual journey".
  13. I don't like Bradley, I'm not rooting for Bradley, and if I'm supposed to I don't know what I'm missing. I laughed when she told Cory they were friends because, while I can't put my finger on Cory's motives, I don't think he cares about any of them. I think he just enjoys the chaos. I feel bad for Yanko because his feelings were genuine even if messy because of the workplace dynamics. Ugh, Hannah. I know she was influenced by her own experience with Mitch, but Yanko and Claire were cute and between Hannah and HR, it got into Claire's head. I like Chip, and I really like Chip and Alex's friendship, and I hate that now that's strained. I guess I thought that the show would highlight camaraderie amongst the female leads in some sort of Me Too, Times Up solidarity. Instead, Alex and Bradley are confiding in their male colleagues/superiors for career preservation.
  14. I've always thought that The Voice should have an age limit and contestants should be 18 and older. Not that the younger singers aren't talented, but let them be out of grade school before getting to compete. And I was never a fan of the duos/groups on the show, if only because in a way it's an unfair advantage because harmonies are really lovely. But ultimately they don't win - or at least none have yet - and that spot could go to another individual. For the most part, I'm good with the finalists. I do like that all four judges have someone still in it, I'd be surprised if Katie doesn't win. I did like Will, but John screwed up giving him Bruno Mars' "Locked Out of Heaven". That song wasn't suitable for him and I knew after his performance that he wouldn't make the cut. So happy that Rose was saved. Of the three in the bottom, she undoubtedly has the best voice.
  15. Kenya is rude as hell and her little stunt was tacky. Props to Marlo for not beating her a$$. Tanya can be so extra, but I like her. I think she's genuinely kind - makes sense that she's from Canada. lol I wonder if Todd will (allow Kandi to) help support Kaela with a dope apartment when she moves to NYC.
  16. I like that the husbands get along. If Bill and Jennifer are only having sex once a month, then who else is Bill sleeping with? lol
  17. Nope. Dolores is friends with - and on the show was the only friend of - Siggy. Who is Jewish. I think Dolores doesn't like Jackie for the reason she said - they aren't close, never took the time to get to know each other. Not everyone meshes. But I see why Jackie and Teresa don't get along, they're actually a lot alike. Teresa may hold onto grudges forevermore, and Jackie doesn't know how to let things go either.
  18. Thingamagig is good, but not better-than-butterfly good. I'm annoyed. So there are only two females left, Flamingo and Tree?
  19. I say give Marlo a peach. I actually really liked what she did/said at the end, lifting all the women up even if they don't like each other. Marlo can throw shade with the best of them, but she's also shown a lot of growth this season. Kenya's a piece of work.
  20. Not for nothing, but I see Jackie's point about birthday parties - especially for boys. They just want to run around and have fun, they don't give a crap about "presentation" etc. It reminded me of the birthday parties I went to growing up - no pomp, just fun. And much respect for not feeling the need to be ostentatious about it. For the accommodation setup in Jamaica, Jennifer (aka production) should've set up the room/suites as 3-and-3. At least split the group down the middle if not have them all under one roof. That's why I love RHONY because for better or worse, they are always under one roof. Big girls can handle it. Both Teresa and Jackie are insufferable with their beef with each other. But Teresa's penchant for holding onto grudges makes it impossible for anyone to ever move forward with her in a positive way... unless you're Beverly (Danielle). Teresa really is a stick in the mud, though. I like that Dolores keeps it real.
  21. Nene does not take accountability for anything that she does, just like Teresa on RHONJ. It's everyone else's fault and they (Nene and Teresa) are the victim. Ace is so cute and is going to be a great big brother.
  22. Loved that line. I don't get the claims that McWidow is a McAsshole. Why? Because he didn't bow down to Meredith like the rest of her lackeys? Thanks goodness for that! Makes him even more appealing as a character and potential love interest for her. Speaking of lackeys, I liked it better when Koracick wasn't desperately pining for Teddy. He's too funny and charming of a character to be reduced to that. Also, cardio-Teddy is better than non-cardio-Teddy.
  23. I actually cheered when I realized the debris fell on the interns' table. So no, Station 19, I will not be watching the first hour of the "epic cliffhanger" because I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that one or all of them have been taken out. (However, I get the feeling they'll all live another day to waste space and take up screen time that could go to, oh I don't know, ALEX KAREV!) Tptb are trying to make Deloser the sad puppy so we (the viewers) feel bad for him and root for Meredith to choose him, blah blah blah blah. Amelia and Link were the very last time, and also the first time in a few seasons, that Grey's has fused things together rather organically as opposed to the constant writer-manipulation in telling us (the viewers) how we should feel and who we should root for. Another example of said manipulation: Maggie's current situation. I know this is a terrible take, but they're fictional so whatever: if Amelia's baby turns out to be the spawn of Owen, I'm going to wish it was her who had the miscarriage instead of Miranda.
  24. Why is Nate still alive? UGH! I was hoping he'd be the dead body/informant so his broody behind could just go away. Did not miss Laurel. The whole Laurel/Wes thing from seasons ago really soured me to both of those characters. So if he's really alive and those two are off living happily ever after - between that and Nate surviving the season/series after the crap he's pulled, I'll be annoyed. RIP Asher, who wasn't even there when stuff went down with Sam so how the hell does he know the nuts and bolts of that.
