  1. I can already see the heavy handed contrivance with Jo's episode (15x19). Watch it be that her biological mom was r*ped and that is the reason, or one of the reasons, Jo was abandoned. If this turns out to be the case, tptb are doing way too much with one character. Like it's not enough that she was homeless/lived in her car and then was in an abusive relationship.
  2. It wasn't too long ago when Deloser was renting a room from Arizona and then couch jumping, but now he can afford that swanky apartment? Tptb are so desperate to make him a leading man, the leap from three seasons as a C character to this is sloppy. They've wasted Tom Koracick on Teddy since it seems inevitable that she'll reunite with Owen. He should've been Meredith's new "boyfriend".
  3. Dorit and PK are shitty. Dumping the dog at a kill shelter is reprehensible, Dorit playing the victim a load of bull, and the women who are willingly overlooking her negligence are despicable. Period. They're all actively choosing to ignore the elephant in the room in favor of this he said-she said-she said crap.
  4. From what I've seen so far, I like her. Not everyone has to be super bougie to be a RH. And there have been a lot of misses with this crowd's style choices so to each their own in terms of what they're comfortable in. It's nice to have a different personality in the mix to offset all of the major narcissism and bat shit crazy.
  5. Hard to believe that April and Arizona got the axe for this. First Jackson dipping his toe in religion, now telling a baby-in-a-bag story without the Fetal surgeon. This obsession with Maggie being the love child of Richard and Ellis is five seasons too late. I don't care about any of the DeLucas. And if they're going to insist on chewing screen time with their Italian, at least have subtitles so we know what's going on. I miss Meredith and Tom Koracick's banter. If the new regime really valued chemistry and authenticity, he'd be the most interesting new partner for the show's leading lady. They both suffered great loss, have lived and loved, but not in ways that are exactly the same as the other. And he would've been great with the Shepherd kids. The relationship would've had the maturity that Meredith's 14+ year journey deserves, something that no amount of character-altering will ever come with Andrew. I see no point in having Teddy back and pregnant with Owen's baby if they're not meant to end up together, or else she could've stayed in Germany. I just saw a rerun of a season 6 episode where Teddy says she's loved Owen forever, so if nothing else their story would come full circle. Link is a good guy. Meredith's poor decision-making is Amelia's gain.
  6. I wish Jo stayed in Ortho. Link is a good dude. I love the moments with Alex and his mom. How about we get rid of some of these sisters and meet Amber Karev, instead? Amelia's biggest mistake was leaving James and Los Angeles (her life on Private Practice) for this mess. So did tptb remember that Andrew's mom is alive, because she was spoken-of as if she is, but at the beginning of the season she was dead (a contradiction to season 13 when she was alive)? They are so messy with details and continuity. Probably an unpopular opinion, but I am so over the Italian. Krista watches a season of "Master of None" and now we're being beaten over the head with it. I get that it's like the one interesting thing about Andrew, but with or without his family around, it doesn't have to be all the time. And don't get me started on Meredith oh so conveniently now knowing the language... By all accounts, Callie Torres was on the series for 10 years and only spoke Spanish (a language more widely familiar to larger populations) twice, and it was in the same episode.
  7. That was...not good. The 300th episode was a much better milestone celebration. "Are you telling me this as the Chief or as your friend? Because I want to know if I need to explain hospital rules or just laugh at you." Alex is the best thing about the show, nowadays. This. The sun has flamed out. It's ridiculous the lengths tptb are going to to force Meredith with Andrew. Does the leading lady not deserve a better suitor? The scene of them first arriving at the party had the chemistry of a mother placating her whiny child. Amelia and Owen should've never gotten back together after her tumor debacle. Didn't Catherine make plans for a big party to be celebrated after her surgery? Her attitude tonight was a complete retcon. Shut up, Maggie. I miss April.
  8. I like Denise, and I hope that being on the show with these opportunistic harpies doesn't change her. *looking at you, Teddi* It doesn't matter where Dorit brought the dog, the simple fact that she did not return Lucy to Vanderpump Dogs per the rules is WRONG. She's WRONG. These women, Lisa Rinna especially, are so blinded by their jealousy and dislike for LVP that they will overlook anything to "take her down". Kyle is a terrible friend. Ken yelling at her in defense of his wife is completely justified IMO.
  9. Jackie was no more boring this season than Teddi Mellencamp on her first season of RHOBH last year, and she's back for more. So if Jackie were not to return, it's gotta be more than just that. If nothing else, she came through in part one of the reunion. And it's refreshing to have someone who doesn't cower around Teresa or bend to her every will.
  10. Massive eye roll at Meredith breaking the record for longest surgery. In season 6, Derek had a revolving door of surgeons coming in and out to assist him on Isaac's spinal tumor, and Lexie wore a diaper! They've really taken this "sun" thing to heart. Are we done with the Betty/Britney show now? At least Alex had a decent amount of screen time.
  11. Lisa Apple was the woman on the gurney. Her and Martin had dated in season 1 and at the end of season 1, after they had already broken up, she was seen buying a pregnancy test. I forget the details, but I think when she was confronted, she claimed to not be pregnant. So I think we're supposed to think as Lena and Martin think - that she's having Martin's baby.
  12. I'm really happy that Lena and Martin have reunited, and I also loved that they held each other's hands when they saw Lisa Apple. Whatever happens next, I hope they face it together. There are still quite a few episodes left, so it's not over yet. I do hope that the season does end with the family intact and happy, just in case this is it.
  13. I really loved this episode. Beth had her own "Jack Pearson". Carl Lumbly is a gem. Phylicia Rashad is wonderful. Excellent casting all around, especially spot-on with young Beth. Of course Randall would be enamored by Beth at first sight.
  14. In the gif @CountryGirl posted, the look on Meredith's face reads as a mother listening to one of her children talk about their day at school.
  15. Owen is a selfish prick. They should've gotten rid of him instead of April. He'd have a nice life in Germany with Teddy and their child instead of us having to suffer through season 1000 of his man-pain. Andrew is a predatory prick. May he one day crash his motorcycle and be Seattle Grace Mercy West Grey Sloan Memorial's next casualty. Link was so non-essential to the "love triangle", he was omitted from the episode and there were no consequences for Meredith standing him up except a throw-away line that she had apologized to him. Guess they needed the screen time for Andrew to leer at her around the hospital. The Meredith and Maggie sisterhood is on the cusp of adding "Eskimo Sisters" (look it up) to it's repertoire.
  16. Nene can be salty at LVP all she wants, but LVP saved her from a failed business venture. What does Nene know about running a bar/restaurant? LVP had two prior to Pump (and they're still going strong). Not to mention, the location is close to the famed LGBTQ bar The Abbey. Nene would've never stood a chance, while LVP at least has the business clientele and reputation in Hollywood to survive in the competitive market.
  17. Meredith wasn't thrilled about Andrew freeloading on her couch and being messy, but now all of a sudden he's the one who "turns back time" for her? GMAB This "love triangle" was never really a triangle. Link wasn't stalking Meredith around the hospital. He made his interest known, she was wishy-washy with him, hence his surprise when she asked him out on Valentine's Day. He helped her with little Bailey's party out of the kindness of his heart because he saw her in a jamb. He's attracted to her, yes, but it was Jo who initiated wanting to hook up her friends. Link was barely in this "Andrew vs Link" fight, and Andrew bogarted nearly every scene he was in. Foolishly, tptb had made up their mind about Meredith and Andrew at the start of the season, which is unfortunate for many reasons, least of which is that she quickly developed better chemistry with Koracick out of all current prospects. I find it funny how we no longer see Meredith and Koracick interact, and Link - the other guy - has come out looking better than the alternative because of the show's heavy-handed attempts at making Andrew "the one".
  18. Lest we forget that a mopey Andrew crashed on Meredith's couch for a short while after his intern lover fled to Switzerland. I forget how he ended up there, but I do remember Zola making a comment that he smells. So he's very much aware that Meredith has three children at home, he's just too selfish to care.
  19. Lifetime is currently airing season 3 in the afternoon, and it is striking how great the romantic parings, friendships, and professional interactions used to be. Aside from Alex/Jo and Miranda/Ben (and not counting Richard/Catherine), the current pairings are overly manufactured and lack a certain spark. Ratings be damned, season 14 may have been a breath of fresh air after the abysmal 13, but the Grand Canyon-sized cracks are showing again. After everything Meredith's been through, it really is a shame that the best tptb can think to do is stick her with Andrew. Andrew, who's only character trait is speaking Italian and is otherwise incredibly dull. Andrew, who dated and sexed up her sister. Andrew, who had a crush on Jo and who her best friend (Alex) beat the crap out of. Andrew, who completely disregards the fact that Meredith has three kids at home and asks her to go have a drink on Christmas Eve. He acts like a pouty, petulant child. And I'm not implying that Link is or should be "the one", but in comparison, at least he's shown to be thoughtful and considerate to Meredith - like giving her the Christmas cookies - without being pushy and predatory. Turns out, Meredith doesn't deserve his kindness. I actually respect the guy even more for ordering wine and presumably staying to have a nice meal alone despite having been stood up. And just like that, Tom Koracick is less charismatic when paired with Teddy. I do not understand the logic behind bringing her back and have her pregnant with Owen's baby yet not be with him. Miranda and Ben and the tree house was a sweet moment, and I appreciate that bit of continuity from last season. Betty/Brittany, who cares. Have they not wasted enough screen time on this random ready-made family? Please give Alex the attention, instead. That lipstick was not working for Meredith.
  20. No matter who wins now, it will be the wrong All Star.
