  1. Is Bao terrible or is it still too soon to tell? Edited: nm she's got a great laugh and the tea ceremony tradition alignment was really sweet.
  2. If Rachel is a good journalist how come she doesn't know her husband is an asshole. I agree with the person above about Nicole's reaction. In her reaction she laid out exactly why she thought the piece was bogus. Rachel agreed she said "rode the wave of MeToo". I think any woman who survived the bad old days takes exception to the idea that we haven't worked hard and suffered much to get to where we are now. If we get the big title because a company is covering their ass, that's the company's deal for not recognizing talent prior to MeToo. Nope that's classic magical negro energy Belinda is giving.
  3. I'm just here for the Sutton dragging. Crystal delivers better than any new housewife in a long time.
  4. what is this supposed to mean? As a rich bitch in Beverly Hills why shouldn't she be uppity? No one is responsible for the way Sutton feels. She spun herself into a tizzy because she was embarrassed. What an immature asshole for attacking Crystal for no reason.
  5. Right! Conveying complex information in a succinct, clear way is a skill. Putting it this way compliments the skill. Anyway as long as we're united on Leah's terribleness...
  6. "apply" doesn't sound like a say out loud compliment as what happened here. Is it on your list of go to compliments like "nice outfit" or "great hair day"?
  7. Eboni is a television broadcaster why wouldn't she be articulate? I've never heard an adult white person compliment another adult white person on being articulate. It's a shady kind of complement to get because it always comes with surprise that one is articulate. Leah is such a raging asshole. Keeping it real, doesn't make you a jerk; being a jerk makes you a jerk.
  8. God can Kyle shut the fuck up. Just because her vocabulary is 17 words deep doesn't mean Crystal (via Dorit) shouldn't describe the way she felt in the way she did. Nene didn't admit it ::shrug::
  9. This was the worst thing I've seen on television since Cop Rock. How the F did this get made?! This show would've been good if she'd killed him in the second episode or at least maimed him. Also, leave poor garage guy alone. Her prattling on and on is not the least charming. Who are these terrible women on tv who don't keep an eye on the family finances? Are there women who still just trust their husbands with the "checkbook"? Thumbs way down on this one.
  10. Aargh I want to set Colin on fire. What a delusional, narcissistic asshole. Am I wrong or is it a bit sadistic to watch a woman go through the whole fertility process knowing you've had a vasectomy? I love Uzo Aduba's styling and aesthetic for the show. I think Brooke absolutely picks up on Laila's suicide hints but doesn't want to spook her. If they discuss suicide as something she's considering then Brooke has to alert people she's considering hurting herself. I think she wants to keep the conversation going with Laila and show her why she should stay among the living.
  11. You're probably right. Just wish it had been an outfit that suited her...fair women shouldn't wear black and heavy shadow in the daytime. She looked like a vampire from the 90s.
  12. Season 2 is killer. Eve is the stand out this season. Every one of her withering takedowns is gold. Her fashion was high but not always the best suited. Her outfit for the bridal shower looked like she was going to a club opening. Anna Paquin continues to deliver a weird, stilted performance. Sophie O. is having too much fun as Caroline and I love it.
  13. Because confident women are always painted as bitches. Scheming, manipulative, devious women always get a pass because they smile when they stick the knife in, send someone else to do their dirty work or cry and say you're mean when you call them out.
  14. I say Crystal should walk into Sutton's bedroom repeatedly on their next trip. When she catches her naked she should stand there as dead eyed as she did during their boat chat. If entitled people refuse to learn just treat them the way they treat the rest of us. Some of us leave doors unlocked when on trips with friends because we assume everyone has basic manners ::shrug::
  15. Good. Fuck her. Sutton is a nasty piece of work and her usual tactics to prevent people from seeing it aren't working on Crystal. Keep your foot on her neck Crystal. If it was the stress of selling the house why did it take 2 days to just say so? Whatever... Sutton wouldn't burn a cross on your lawn but she'd call the HOA to get your Black Lives Matter sign removed. Kathy Hilton is the gift I didn't know I wanted. Love her!
  16. I thought the first two episodes were great. I like that these characters don't remind me of Sex and the City or Living Single or Girlfriends. It exists in it's own universe.
  17. "Run the World is the story of a group of Black women – vibrant, fiercely loyal best friends – who work, live and play in Harlem as they strive for world domination. At its core, it's an unapologetically female show about enviable friendship and not only surviving – but thriving together." With Yvette Lee Bowser on board I just knew it was going to be great.
  18. Really great watch. Will definitely add many of the books referenced to my reading list.
  19. Dr Eugene is going to work himself into an early grave trying to maintain the lifestyle Toya thinks she deserves. I almost swallowed my gum laughing when Kari said "because Eugene is large" when Toya was complaining about their mattress. I like this show more than RHOA but I have to break my viewing up into multiple sittings because I yell at Toya too much and disturb the puppy.
  20. That has to be the worst finale in this show's history.
  21. Squee! Baby Jack said he didn't wanna rock!
  22. I thought it was sweet when Beth's mom admitted she's lonely. I hope they're adding Phylicia Rashad to the cast for a good long run. I think Tess is behaving like a teenager. I think this generation in particular confounds their parents by being baffling and inspiring all in one selfish, smelly body. I feel Toby's pain but I would kill for someone to just say I've got a safety net if it all goes to shit. I thought that would've cut his anxiety but I guess he's not wired that way. Him sitting up in bed when Kate walked in worried me a little. Losing your job and a drastic shift in circumstance can trigger depression. I love Deja and Randall together. I hope he remembers to give his other daughters the same reassurance.
  23. Can't believe I liked the show as much as I did but thoroughly disliked Ginny. I have a problem with snarky teens. There's got to be a way to portray parenthood that actually makes me want to do it before it's too late lol. I hope it gets a season 2 but I think I'd be okay if it didn't.
  24. I love Ellen and I want her to be my best friend.
