Erika Girardi/Erika Jayne: Let them eat cake
BusyOctober replied to ryebread's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
If it’s a video of her in Chicago (or her other theatrical “performance” with her mascara smeared face), that would be in violation of the Geneva Convention’s stance on torture. Erika could tack on “war crime” to her ever evolving rap sheet.- 5.2k replies

S11.E11: Ice Queen of the Desert

I was never a fan of Erika’s. From the jump, I thought she was a manipulative narcissistic cold bitch. The only time I felt an ounce of sympathy was during “Pantygate”, and that’s because I thought PK a and Dorit were two of the most pretentious, lying climbers on the planet. I’m glad tonight they replayed all the times Erika went for someone’s jugular over some small perceived slight Erika imagined. I hope Bravo and the RHOBH a production company get subpoenas to turn over every tape of aired and unaired footage of every Erika/Tom discussion. I hope Erika’s slimy Yes man Mikey and the rest of her sycophant glam squad get called to give depositions. Questions 1-5would be who, what, when, where, how were you paid for your services? My guess is there had to be checks from one of Tom/Erika companies. Erika flew too close to the sun by participating on the show during all the BS happening at “The Firm”. Tom and Erika knew prior to filming that a shit storm was coming, but Erika was blinded by her own inflated sense of self importance. And her delusions of being a grande dame of the stage after 2 performances in Chicago probably convinced her she could pull off the greatest acting role playing the long suffering, victimized, innocent ingenue. Her hubris as well as her complicity in the financial crimes are Erika’s downfall. And I am here for Every. Single. Minute. Sutton may be an odd duck, but her Spidey Sense is a-tinglin’ about Erika and all her bullshit. It seemed to me Erika was gulping hard when Sutton was discussing how important, and how necessary a financial forensic team is in a wealthy divorce case. Erika looked like a rabbit caught in a trap. -

My friend’s sister owns a pretty good sized (very respected and sought after) catering company. She has several box trucks outfitted with refrigerators and heating ovens for events on farms or in historic buildings without kitchens. I went to 2 events she catered and the food was not only delicious, but served at the appropriate temperature with no problems… Prime rib was piping hot, shrimp cocktail was chilled and sorbet was just right semi-soft/frozen consistency. Of course she runs a professional company and employs professional chefs and servers, so she gives her clients a great experience. Who knows what kind of caterers Amy/TLC will have for the Grand Celebration of the Century. If Amy’s Little Koapectate Kitchen is handing any of the food prep, I hope the guests have the nearest hospital programmed into their GPS. -

Love how Sonja’s quack Healer took all the things the Salem medium said and ran with it in their session. Also love how seriously Sonja took the medium’s strong recommendation that Sonja get her ass into deep deep therapy ASAP…with a PhD. So what does Miss Morgan do? Calls her non-doctorate healer. The drum and bells and stones make me think that woman lost her gig teaching music play to infants and toddlers at a “Mommy & Me” class. I couldn’t follow Sonja’s “business” meeting. I do think that guy is a tiny bit shady, but when dealing with someone as Cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs as Sonja, it’s gotta be reaally hard to not take advantage of the situation. No words for Sonja’s drunken stupor fake one night stand with Dylan (aka “Mr. Right Now”). If Sonja is not going to take control of her own life and clean it up, then she will always be taken advantage of, and continue to be a sad clown to her so-called friends to laugh at. Leah’s brother quietly standing in the middle of her apartment for 2 minutes was 10 times more interesting than anything Leah has said or done in 2 seasons. Why did Leah have to bring her pet rat to the video shoot? She may not take it seriously, but for Luann it is. I’d say ‘have some respect’, but…it’s Leah. So yah. Not gonna happen. Why did Eboni need the DNA company rep to take her swab?? Especially during COVID? Everyone I know who’s done a 23 & Me or Ancestry test managed to spit into the tube and seal it themselves. And why won’t Eboni’s mom tell her who her father is? Maybe she doesn’t know? Or maybe she was a rape victim, and doesn’t want to burden Eboni with that? -

WTF with all those sculptures in Matt’s barn??? A few episodes back, he bought a horse(?) and the Bigfoot thing. Now he has amassed every metal sculpture in the Pacific Northwest? Is he opening a Roloff version of Jurassic Park on the farm? Amy and Chris, two people who spend A LOT of time on the Internet for their livelihoods, were like two ships adrift on a turbulent ocean when the recipes for Cosmopolitans and Sea Breezes were lost. Umm, both of those “recipes” can be found all over Google FFS. I love how Tori and Zach are so over Amy’s immature, Bridezilla attitude toward this wedding. I could feel Tori trying to not eye roll over all Amy’s “MY a wedding” BS. The wedding dresses were very pretty, but all very similar IMO. One had a ridiculously long train to be considered for a farm/barn wedding, but otherwise, the bodices were all the same to my eyes. Just curious about how much the alterations would cost for re-sizing a gown for a little person. To cut down a dress with 3 to 4 feet of skirt length to be proportional to Amy’s height seems like a big waste of money. Why not get a custom made gown designed for a little person? Then all the delicate details of the hem, embroidery, buttons, etc. wouldn’t be lopped off and wasted. -
Oh, I can see Jerk buying a “vintage” plane with the delusions plans to restore it. He can pose for many Insta pics in his Carhart duds, holding tools over the open engine compartment. He will “write” a carefully thought out woefully ungrammatical and misspelled post about how he had to use artisan crafted tools to adjust the torque on the wingding flibbergibbet. Then after a few months, the now-defunct plane will be in a heap in some rented hanger with Jerk’s other failed projects. At which point Odd will write her own bloated blog about how Jerk couldn’t finish the plane because someone else not under Jerk’s capable control screwed up, or a better opportunity came along, or he decided this newest vanity project was taking too much valuable time away from his children.

I obviously planned my wedding completely wrong. I never found any part of the planning stressful. I got engaged in February 2001 and we married in October 2001. It was the 1st wedding for both me and my husband, we were in our early 30’s, and were fortunate that my mom and my in-laws helped us pay for some of the reception. I had a spreadsheet with vendors and costs and due dates. My fiancé and I never had a single argument during planning (there was one very minor disagreement over serving chicken wings during cocktail hour, but I let him have that). The only thing that caused any stress was the fact that we were getting married exactly 1 month after 9/11. We were worried about how safe it would be for out of state guests to fly in (or even if they’d be able to). But Amy has been telling everyone how stressful and how much work planning a wedding is. This is her 2nd one!! And she isn’t strapped for cash to pay for it like most couples. And she had considerable involvement in her 4 children’s weddings. Personally, I think Amy is just too unorganized to plan anything.

S13.E12: Baby It's Cold Inside
BusyOctober replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in The Real Housewives Of New York City
Does Leah really think Luann’s horrible, sad attempt at a Christmas song is going to spend dozens of weeks on the music charts? She was concerned Lu might only give proceeds to charity for a minute, then cash in on the big royalties, with no split sizes for the backup singers?? I haven’t heard the entire horrible, sad auto-tuned tragedy yet, but Leah, I can allay your concern: there will be very little money made from it. The charity would be better off holding a bake sale to raise funds. And I am not sure who wrote that horrible, sad song, but he/she must have pulled up an online thesaurus app after listening to Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas is You”. IT’S THE SAME PREMISE!! So does this mean Springsteen and his stable of lawyers won’t have a problem when my future chart topper, “Birthed in America” is released? Eboni was pretty classless and rude to go on about her Black Shabat and invite the white women in front of Bershan. My daughter knew not to do that when she was 7. She never would have asked friends to her b-day party in front of other kids she wasn’t inviting. But Bershan is going to be the winner in that scenario anyway, and she knows it! Talk about dodging a bullet. I know filming during COVID has really limited their activities, but that dual birthday party was pathetic. I knew the guest list would include straight men waaaay too young for these women (and waaaay too thirsty to be on tv). And of course, obligatory penis cake. Forgot his name, but the “party planner” who was in charge of the Beauty Pageant really went for his personal worst with this Ramon-Ja birthday celebration. -
Guess the writers wanted to go out in the same craptastic fashion they used to ruin this show. What started as an interesting premise turned into a flaming pile of dog poop. Of all the people Beth fucked over in her decent from bored housewife to horrible narcissist, I would have had Lucy show up in Beth’s “fever dream”m not Andre McCarthy’s assassin guy. Lucy was so innocent, her face is who Beth should be warned/haunted by. Good bye and good riddance, Good Girls.

The Beast Must Die - General Discussion
BusyOctober replied to Quilt Fairy's topic in The Beast Must Die
I guess I’m not the only one who gave up on this show. -
I had been waiting to see this since I read it was coming. I forgot it was on Apple, so I spent about 10 minutes yelling “SCHMIGADOOOOOONNN!!! “ into my remote thinking it was on Netflix. I’m sure they neighbors were wondering if I was having a stroke. But once I figured it out, any embarrassment was worth it! LOVED both episodes! I set a reminder for Friday’s to catch new episodes ASAP. I’m not a theater nerd, but I grew up watching classic musical movies with my grandmother. I did catch a lot of this parody’s references, so it was fun to pick them out. I will watch Keegan-Michael Key and Cecily Strong in anything. I can’t believe how Broadway loaded this cast is. Thank goodness Apple (and other streaming networks) have the stacks of cash to make these gems happen. Regular broadcast networks should be very afraid. Stop giving us retreads and reboots! More original content, and for the love of God, no more Law & Order: (insert branch of law/order here), CSI: (insert gritty city here), or Chicago: (insert first responder job here).

All Episodes Talk: Small World, Big Lives
BusyOctober replied to NewOrleansLady's topic in Little People Big World
Oh, definitely a nice thought. I just think Amy is too much of a pill to appreciate it. I think he’s opening himself up to additional reasons for Amy to complain. I can imagine a field of wildflowers would make for some very pretty wedding pictures. But Amy will manage to block them out with her aggressively close up selfies…Amy’s giant face in 70% of the frame with a little blur of My Man in the background, and even blurrier flowers behind him. -

Wait…Matt is planting seeds for flowers to bloom for the wedding?? Why? I’m sure Amy will have a florist do her bouquet and centerpieces for the tables. A florist can also provide some arrangements for the rest of the venue. Between her own checkbook and TLC’s, money won’t be a problem. And God help Matt if anything goes wrong, and one wild flower wilts or they aren’t the right shade of pink Amy wants. Why add potential aggravation to this giant farce? Amy is planning the wedding of the century to My Man. From save the date mailers, fluffy dresses, and now a “special” drink to serve and friggin rocks as favors…Amy sure has been following all the wedding trends. For 1st time, 20-something brides. As someone who has attended many many weddings, the wedding favors will be tossed out within a week or two of the ceremony. No one wants those tchotchkes, so brides (and grooms) shouldn’t waste time or money on them. Guests want good food, good music, good service from the bar. Send your guests a thank you note with a picture of the bride and groom, and maybe one of them from the reception to remember it by. Seashell soaps, Hershey’s Hugs and Kisses in a net bag, or anything you can buy in mass at the Dollar Store (or in Amy’s case, a rock I can grab in my own backyard) won’t be taken home and treasured. -
S13.E11: The Witching Hour
BusyOctober replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in The Real Housewives Of New York City
Why do Leah and Eboni have glam squads every time they are on camera?? Especially during COVID…any place they venture out to has been shut down for just these women. Who are they glamming up for? Or sit just a status/narcissistic ego thing, like Erica on RHOBH? Sonja needs rehab and deep therapy to get her shit together while she’s relatively young enough to benefit from it. She IS a clown. Drunk and disorderly is not acceptable from anyone. Her poor daughter must be embarrassed from years of escalating delusions and sloppy drunkenness. Sonja doesn’t think she has a problem with alcohol??? She has all the classic excuses of an alcoholic’s reasons for why she “gets a little loopy”. It’s never HER a fault for drinking. It’s the water pills, or the altitude, or the food combination she had with dinner, or lack of food, or she was sad and needed a pick me up, or she was happy and celebrating, or she’s used to champagne, so the liquor got her drunk, or she did a shot and that was her tipping point, or she didn’t sleep well….On and ON! Always someone or something to blame for pouring 3-4-8 drinks down her throat. Now she’s blaming that lovely Italian restaurant in Salem for serving “cheap red wine”??? Are you fucking kidding me? Dorinda got bounced from the show for being belligerent and mean. Sonja has now gotten physical with a cast mate and damaged private property. If Bravo and TPTB for this show don’t intervene and force the rehab issue, they are complicit in Sonja’s self destructive behavior. And I think Luann and Ramona need to take a serious stand if they truly care about their friend. It isn’t cute or funny to witness someone so broken. Sonja looks old and tired and defeated. -
2 episodes into this season, and I remember what I hated about last season. The freaking music is just too much…too loud. I get having music during the runway, but the interstitial music blaring over too many scenes is really annoying. I’m muting the whole “did you change your mind” during judging. This is also annoying. Olivia’s looks are just not right. The bib/apron/straight jacket motif is not attractive and doesn’t look good on the models. Andrea P. was the best, most “resort-y”. Joshua’ designs were better this week, but I still find him exhausting. Stop telling the world you’re doing this for your kid. I’m sure your daughter would pick having you stay closer to home and hang out with her vs. telling you to be gone for weeks to be on a competitive reality show. I’m not saying parents shouldn’t work, or stop going after opportunities & dreams just because they have kids. There is nothing wrong with trying to advance your career, but I find it off putting and a bit manipulative to evoke the spirit of one’s children (or spouse, or dying/dead relatives) as a means to look “more deserving” then anyone else.
-
Olivia bugs me. I don’t like her style or her designs. Her personality is a bit to aggressive for me. I knew Lendell was toast the minute they showed him still working when the rest of the designers were probably already at the airport. Joshua is not of the same caliber as some of the others. I feel like he talks about fashion and uses insider words, but he just is faking it. I didn’t see any of his pre-show work, so maybe nerves got the best of him? Gary’s use of vintage/historic textiles is very interesting. But his communication style makes me nervous…he doesn’t explain his ideas well. He kind of lost me with his graveyard redemption story, but I am not a very esoteric/ethereal person, so I am not hip enough to get it. I like Andrea from Brooklyn.

With only 2 eps left, why are we having to spend time with Dean’s misogynistic biker gang? Dean is a stupid sap who jus now is becoming suspicious of this bro band of bullshit artists? I am not really invested in this show anymore, so I certainly don’t need to delve into the sad, pathetic lives of yet more fringe characters. I don’t care about Annie’s ex’s wife and her financial woes either. Or the homeless roommate/convenient hookup partner. The only characters I feel anything for is the kids. I wish Family Services could sweep in and collect Beth’s 4 kids (if they could even find all of them- one or more is always missing from the house) and let Dean’s mother raise them. Ruby’s kids would be better off with the strippers or the (not really) kidney donor couple. Ben seems to be in the best position to succeed, so hopefully he realizes he will always be the adult who has to take care of his immature mom and all of her bad life choices. We left the realm of reality a long time ago with this show, but how would Beth and Tattooed Henchman get away with what they did to Beth’ soon to be ex-running mate? Even if the lady was scared, she has a husband and kids who will see the destruction and question what the hell happened. The entire dining room being destroyed can’t be explained away with “ Oh, clumsy mommy was dusting and I tripped into the china cabinet…whoopsie!” Her husband could go to the cops. Again, not invested, but these idiotic plot devices irk me.
-
Leah is complaining that Ramona’s talking gave her a headache?!? Just seeing Leah’s face gives ME a headache. Her voice makes me want to jab ice picks in my ears just to feel better. As a white woman, I am aware that almost all of the history I was taught has been literally whitewashed, and that many stories of many generations of POC have been lost. I try to do better with my child and tell her their are many other people who were forgotten in the history books. The Pilgrims and the Founding Fathers were not sainted heroes. However, I think these braying asses from RHONY were extremely disrespectful of the volunteers at Pioneer Village. I get not wanting to dress up in the costumes…that was a stupid call on Production&/or Pioneer Village side. But to be dismissive of the people and the place was rude. For Lu, the Countess of Class, to be posing for “Insta” photos while someone is trying to explain the history of the structure was lacking good manners. Sonja droning on and on about “her family” has got to stop! The Adams, the Quincys, the Morgan’s….NONE OF THEM ARE RELATED TO YOU SONJA!!! Your ex husband and your daughter can claim the “very old American family” legacy, but NOT YOU SONJA! The delusions of grandeur get worse every year. Is that a symptom of dementia? Creating false memories vs. losing memories? I cannot believe Ramona shit all over another bathroom during one of these paid for trips. She is disgusting. I have never known any adult who has pooped on the floor/ carpet/ door/sheets/ furniture/ walls/ ceiling/ mini bar of a hotel. What is wrong with her?? There’s no excuse for it. The Bravo crew had better been the ones to clean up after Ramona, and not the hotel staff. BTW, for anyone wanting to visit Salem, MA - great city with so much to do! Just don’t come from Sept to Nov so you can avoid the Halloween crowds, inflated prices and insane traffic. But when you do visit, the Black Veil is pretty awesome (the twins Lu flirted with own the place). And there is an incredible bakery right next store with some of the best breads and pastries ( A & J King Artisan Bakery).

The writers and the male “comedy” actors are doing a great job with making me root for Kevin to die. I worry for the actor playing Kevin….he’s such an odious, unlikeable asshole character. I feel uncomfortable and anxious when Kevin and his posse are on the screen. I want to kill Kevin! It will be hard for me to see him in something else if he plays a “good guy”. I am enjoying the format and the story, but like other posters here, I am wondering how this show can sustain itself beyond a couple of seasons. I don’t know if I can watch the sitcom scenes without getting stabby, especially if there’s no “payoff” (aka- dead Kevin).

The Beast Must Die - General Discussion
BusyOctober replied to Quilt Fairy's topic in The Beast Must Die
The first ep didn’t grab me, but I will give it a few more episodes because I like Jared Harris so much. I never liked Cush Jumbo’s character on The Good Wife, so I am trying to get over that association. I can empathize with her character in this, but so far the show is using too many tropes…the mom with a vigilante revenge story, the world weary tortured soul policeman, the (probably) abused young model (probable) girlfriend of the (probable) villain. I will watch some more, so I hope it picks up by the 3rd one. -
Erika Girardi/Erika Jayne: Let them eat cake
BusyOctober replied to ryebread's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
Erica may have slipped and messed up her case a bit. She was listing all the sources of income she has…best selling book, shoe design, and a few other businesses, then she told the producer who asked the question about her finances that she’s doing “just fine”, and has means to support herself and her new house. That house, by the way, is probably worth several million dollars. I have no idea about Beverly Hills real estate, but I’m guessing it could be sold to put a sizable dent in the money owed to the victims of “The Firm”.- 5.2k replies

S13.E09: The Salem B.... Trials
BusyOctober replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in The Real Housewives Of New York City
Dear RHONY producers, Please stop bringing these clueless, ignorant, ill mannered, boorish, rude women to.New England. These idiots have desecrated 2 of the nicest places we locals and tourists enjoy equally. Last year, lovey Newport, RI had to deal with Leah and her drunken screechfest. Now these stupids cows land in beautiful, historic Salem, MA and they can’t stop screaming, “Salem!!! BITCHES!!!” every five minutes. New England has its fair share of idiots too, so we don’t need any additional “character” driving up from NYC. Signed, CT, MA, RI, NH, VT & ME PS - I am personally mad these harpies got to stay in 2 of my favorite hotels. PPS - for the sake of the staff at the Hawthorne, I hope Ramona didn’t leave her shit all over the bed, robes, towels, tile floor… -
S11.E07: Defining Women
BusyOctober replied to jewel21's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
What is it with these women? Why can’t any of them let it go? They have loving families, fame, wealth, lovely homes, great cars, fantastic vacations, stylists, handbags, shoes, jewelry, expensive clothing, unlimited plastic surgery….the list goes on. Yet the only thing that brings them joy or pumps their self worth is pot stirring and rehashing petty grievances? The crap they hyper focus on and dredge up over and over again wouldn’t ever register as a blip on my radar fifteen minutes after the occurrence. But these people are still regurgitating their already chewed cud days and weeks and months later. Sutton, I want to defend you. I want to keep liking your quirky, sweet, ditzy persona. But, girl you are making it difficult. Take a Xanax or borrow some of Kyle’s TLC vag oils, and calm down around Crystal. Rinna is soooooo thirsty for her daughters (therefore, herself) to be Kartrashian famous. I can’t stand that family, but I will admit they figured out how to capitalize/manipulate whatever opportunities came their way. I don’t get why any of Kris’s kids are cultural phenomena, probably because I am old. However, Rinna’s daughters just don’t seem to have that same “It” factor. But, if leaking or selling sex tapes launched the career of the Kartrashian Klan, I guess Rinna thinks her teenager dating a 37 yr old creepy asshole is a stepping stone to the fame she craves. -

I used to feel bad for Amy b/c her marriage to Matt and her role in their relationship and parenting seemed very much one sided. But over the past few years, Amy has become unbearable. All the constant yo-yo-ing of her feelings and moods is exhausting. She’s happy about planning her (yes ‘her’) wedding….then she’s annoyed about planning her wedding. She’s happy Chris has opinions about the wedding, but she’s sour he expects to have any of his opinions count. Roloff Farm is the perfect venue because the farm means so much to her, but it isn’t a great option because of her history with it. She loves the farm because “30years blah blah”, but she’s indifferent to the farm because “it isn’t mine anymore, I am not involved “. And her procrastination over leaving the big house, selling the farm, buying a house….And the saga of her actually moving all of her shit out of the big house. Planning and executing the moon landing took less time FFS. Plus I can’t stand her giggly school girl behavior around Chris or her girlfriends when talking about Chris. Yet if the GF’s or Chris disagree with her, or state honest opinions that rub Amy the wrong way, she gets nasty and ornery. I think Amy has a very low emotional IQ. It was sweet of Zack to do the anniversary thing, but can he not read? How does one mistake jarred marina sauce for salsa? Maybe the grocery store in his town keeps all red colored food products in the same aisle? My grocery store isn’t super fancy or big, but there’s an aisle for pasta and spaghetti sauces, and an aisle with tortillas, taco shells, queso, salsas… -
You know that feeling of relief when some long, unpleasant and tedious task is completed, and you think, “well thank goodness that’s over”? Like a root canal or a weekend visit with in-laws? That’s the same feeling I had when I read that post.
