I think it has to do with the fact that she genuinely likes Whoopie regardless of what happened between them and was genuinely hurt by Whoopie's nastiness. As an actress, she was a fan of Whoopie's work. I remember her sharing a beautiful clip of Whoopie being awesome with a fan in the Netherlands I believe.. The sad thing is that the show in the 80's and early 90's that created the Brady grandchildren intended the show to focus on all of them, not just Sami. Carrie, Shawn-Douglas, Andrew had more interesting storylines as kids than as adults, that is truly a shame.. The show was also setting up Stefanie and Jeannie/Theresa to have a relationship that mirrored their mothers.. Carrie was supposed to be the female Roman as the lead heroine of her generation.. Eric and Sami were going to have a special relationship because they are twins. We never saw their relationship explored as adults to the fullest.. Max who was an adopted Brady kid was being groomed to be a hero as well and he suddenly disappeared without any explanation. I have no words for him dating his nieces as an adult, just gross.

Sami is the only legacy child that the show has ever cared about to invest in over the years.

Megan really likes Joy but she has to hate her cause of her team. I remember 2 years ago, the ladies went out to lunch minus Whoopie and they all took a picture with Joy outside of the restaurant and Megan was draped all over Joy with a smile on her face.. You don't do that to someone you hate. Joy is a saint to put up with Megan's nastiness. Megan does not know how to disagree respectfully with people who do not see her perspective, look at how she treated Abby, Elizabeth, Tara Setmayer and Anna who are all conservative women like her.
