  1. So much to comment on! Courtney does seem to have a good heart, but comes across as a ditz. The move to the trailer: WHY oh why didn't they have someone watching the little kids offsite during the move. Who in their right mind would think six toddlers running around while furniture is being moved is a good idea? Finally Eric said to get the kids out of there. And Thanksgiving. Again, who in their right mind would invite MORE people over to that little cracker box they are staying in. Maybe those family members just wanted to be on television? And the dinner. Again ... I know it adds to the comedy and the drama of the show, but, really? And if Courtney doesn't know how to cook, or isn't a good cook, what do they eat? Spaghetti every night, since apparently that is all she knows how to cook? With nine kids I would think you would develop some simple skills out of necessity. Did I hear it right that next week is the season finale? Short season!
  2. I see it both ways. On the one hand, they've talked about it at length, now let it go. On the other hand, nothing will change if it is now swept under the rug, forgotten. I might talk with the husband, find out what he wants. Are they helping or hurting? I wish that Twitter would do the right thing, but they're in it for the money, so probably won't. I am glad I never joined Twitter.
  3. Meagan is uncomfortable to watch. She never smiles. Something is going on. Her comment about the guy who said he would rather take a chance on getting Covid and possibly dying than having to start his business over. Really? Death is PERMANENT, it's FOREVER. A business can be rebuilt. It's been done.
  4. I was watching Mika interview the Gov. of Rhode Island, who was professionally dressed, while Mika was wearing that black sweater and white t-shirt, which was better than the flower print t-shirt and black sweater, but come on! She has heard of online shopping, right?
  5. Megan seems depressed. She looked like a sourpuss the entire time. Maybe her hubby didn't do anything for her and she is still pissed. And I thought it was interesting that the salon owner didn't mention receiving the $18K until Sonny brought it up.
  6. What I notice about Sunny is her nails. They may or may not be acrylic but they look professionally done, with nail art. I wonder how she is managing that? Here in CA nail salons are not essential businesses. Maybe she had someone doing them for her in the studio? I get the feeling that they are going to be working remotely from now on, studio days may be over for a while. So glad I had my gel nails removed last year. They need to be maintained every two or three weeks or they start to look nasty. And with all the hand-washing and nail scrubbing we have to do now ... they just don't seem sanitary to me.
  7. I picked up on that too. I was hoping one of the hosts would question her about it.
  8. I'm probably not the first person to complain about this, but the pharmaceutical ads really bug me. I remember growing up back in the stone age and there would be commercials for Bayer aspirin, Tylenol, Contac, etc., etc. Drugs you could buy over the counter at the drugstore. NOW they are advertising drugs for Stage 4 cancer. Drugs that we cannot/should not buy on our own. "Ask your doctor about ____________." Really? While I am in favor of being informed about my healthcare, I sure don't want to have to ask my doctor to prescribe a drug I saw in a TV commercial. I would sure hope that my doctor(s) would know what to prescribe for me without me telling them. I am not a doctor!! I wonder how often it happens. "Doctor, I was watching TV last night and I saw a commercial for _________. Could you please prescribe it for me? It sounds awfully good." I wonder how often that happens? I wonder how doctors feel about it? Of course I completely blame the pharmaceutical companies, trying to make every last dime they can from people who are sick or just plain elderly.
  9. Same here! It really freaked me out. The thought that this person was in the house with the family (all women) sleeping upstairs. What if Randall had not come home that night, what if he didn't go downstairs to get water. So frightening.
  10. LOL her legs were sticking out at such a weird angle, it looked kind of comical. All the while, wearing a short dress. You just met the guy!
  11. Nora Ephron wrote a whole book about it, "I Feel Bad About My Neck." Humorous book, tells it like it is.
  12. I remember when she lost all that weight on Jenny Craig. I was wondering why she doesn't do that again, then I realized that having a show on the Food Network, it would be weird for her to be doing Jenny Craig while cooking up delicious food.
  13. I've watched this show from the beginning, and wow has it changed. Back in the "old days" there was little if no kissing in the early dates, certainly not on the first night. Now it's straight to making out. I predict he will be sleeping with a few of them soon. It is probably just that I am getting old, but I preferred the days when there was some romance, now it is mostly just sex. The scary ones who were in tears at the thought of having to go home. I agree it's not about him -- they just don't want to leave the show and the travel and excitement. It just comes across as pathetic. I do agree that this bunch of girls is attractive, although they pretty much all look the same. It's hard to keep them straight at this stage. I think I will skip the show and maybe pick it up when they do hometown dates. I like when he/she meets the families. I forgot, what does Hannah B. do in real life? I mean, if she was to return to Alabama?
  14. Interesting because in the People magazine article about Hoda getting engaged, she said the wedding would be low-key, possibly on the beach where they got engaged. Who knows. I watch the 4th hour sporadically. I liked Jenna better before she was on this show. I am kind of embarrassed for her, really. The salivating over Oprah needs to stop. She is just too much. Too hyper. They spend about half the hour complimenting each other. Do real people talk that way? It's boring. Re Valerie Bertinelli. I had noticed she had gained weight. She talked about her depression. Anyone know the state of her current marriage? When she didn't mention her husband at all, it made me wonder.
  15. Aging Baby Boomer here. OK, let's face it, the Duggars are weird, but there are families who just are not very demonstrative. I come from one. Honestly, I think the Duggars are kind of a throw-back to the repressive 1950's. I don't remember getting a lot of physical affection from my parents. I'm not complaining, just stating a fact. And re hugging, comforting when in grief. I believe in the 50's most boys were discouraged from showing their emotions. My husband has told me he was told by his parents that boys do not cry. Can you imagine? I just think the Duggars are going by that playbook, probably to an extreme.
  16. Actually we have two toilets (water closets) in our master bath and they were standard with our model. New house. I had never seen such a thing. Let me tell you - it is wonderful. Love it.
  17. He doesn't participate in the costume thing. I think it was last year he was in his suit while they were all in costume. I think he probably thinks it's not dignified. I also turned over from Today to check them out and I have to say that Lara Spencer trying to do Liza Minelli was awful. I was embarrassed for her.
  18. I actually thought the dance-theme costumes were pretty good. I turned over to GMA to check their costumes out and it was cringe-worthy. Lara was trying to do a Liza Minelli imitation and I had to turn the channel.
  19. It was the worst awards show I have ever seen. What annoyed me has already been posted here (many times over) so I won't repeat. It was cringe-worthy to watch. So many of the actors/presenters flubbed their lines, I am pretty sure there were probably no rehearsals at all. As a couple of people have already said, most of these programs I don't watch. We do have HBO, Netflix and Amazon TV but I refuse to pay for any more. Our cable bill is ridiculously high already. I have a feeling that network programs will never win again. I miss the days when This Is Us, Modern Family, West Wing, etc., etc., etc. would win awards. No wonder the ratings were so low. Wow. Do I feel old today or what?
  20. Except Ozzie and Harriet were married in real life. Mike and Carol were the first actors not married to each other in real life to sleep in the same bed.
  21. I am so glad that no one is following me around with a camera and a microphone every second of every day (practically) because I am sure I do and say things that are not appropriate from time to time. Then again, I am not running for president and we do hold the candidates to a higher standard. Too bad it doesn't work for the actual sitting president. I think KH made a mistake by chuckling at that guy's comment but I take it in context. It's not like he was talking about someone, anyone, who is ACTUALLY mentally retarded, I am sure she would not have found that funny. But this guy was saying something in a derogatory way about trump, I have thought and said way worse about him. Maybe she should have said something like, yes, I agree that the president is showing signs of intellectual challenge and we should all hope he gets the help he needs. (Said in jest. Sort of.)
  22. I remember when Robin Roberts was out for several months on GMA due to cancer treatment, bone marrow transplant, chemo, etc., etc. When she was well enough to come back to work, there was indeed a celebration. Well-deserved, in my opinion! Hoda basically took a five-month vacation in order to spend time with her kids. No comparison.
  23. She didn't mention when she will be returning. She is just too over-the-top for me. She would exhaust me if I had to spend too much time with her. She talked about how special it was to go to the grocery store with Hailey - it was an "adventure." Apparently it is not part of her normal routine. Maybe if she had to do it once or twice a week it wouldn't be the special outing she describes. She is becoming un-relatable. I wonder how many mothers of young children were rolling their eyes at her. And when she had to get down on the floor of the deck to show that chair like it is the greatest thing since sliced bread. She is just so goofy, I can't picture her doing hard news stories anymore. She can stay with the fourth hour, but they need someone different for the first two hours. She is actually making me miss Matt Lauer. I thought it was interesting when she asked, "Has Jenna had her baby yet?" Wow. I thought they were supposed to be close, but apparently not. Partners on a show together? And no one would bother to tell her? It would have been funny if one of them had said, oh yeah, Jenna had her baby last week.
  24. OMG those TAKL commercials. I cringe every time. Please make it stop. And she says to the guy, "Do you need your yard mowed?" You don't mow a YARD. You mow grass, or cut grass, but not a yard. LOL I used to really like her. Back in the 90's she had a clothing line and I even had a Kathy Lee dress. It was probably one of those that were made in a sweatshop in China, though. I remember when that scandal hit.
  25. I agree the whole thing about Hoda is weird. I fully get that they cannot discriminate between giving birth and adopting when granting family leave, but still ... You would think she would be considering if this is affecting her career. (Bear in mind I am older and remember when women were given six weeks off and then had to return to work, after childbirth.) I wonder how the ratings are for TODAY. It is so flat, so boring. I usually turn it off after the first 45 minutes unless there is something interesting. I even watched a bit of the CBS morning show the other day, I was so desperate.
