  1. It is Thursday, and another joke. I apologize in advance but I have to admit, I LOL when I saw this one.... Two hillbillies walk into a restaurant. While having a bite to eat, they talk about their moonshine operation. Suddenly, a woman at a nearby table, who is eating a sandwich, begins to cough. After a minute or so, it becomes apparent that she is in real distress. One of the hillbillies looks at her and says, Kin ya swallar?' The woman shakes her head no. Then he asks, 'Kin ya breathe?' The woman ...begins to turn blue, and shakes her head no. The hillbilly walks over to the woman, lifts up her dress, yanks down her drawers, and quickly gives her right butt cheek a lick with his tongue. The woman is so shocked that she has a violent spasm, and the obstruction flies out of her mouth. As she begins to breathe again, the Hillbilly walks slowly back to his table. His partner says, 'Ya know, I'd heerd of that there 'Hind Lick Maneuver' but I ain't niver seed nobody do it!'
  2. Yes, the candles are pricey but they are made here in Starkville, MS by Aspen Bay which has recently changed it's name to Curio. The first fall I was here we were driving through one of the Industrial parks and there were this huge line of people waiting in line to get into this one building. We wondered what it was and stopped to ask someone in line...it was for the warehouse sale of their candles. People had been waiting for hours and hours! Just saw on their Facebook page there was a warehouse sale the middle of November. They make candles for many different companies....Magnolia Farms included and the prices are all high! So these candles are not crap...I bought one when I was in Laurel and the smell is wonderful and lasts and lasts.
  3. Hanging head in shame, red-faced and totally sorry! Maybe because it was such a bad week, I tried to overlook it! 2/5🥴
  4. I knew I posted! And you gave me a big heart,,,,,Maybe because it was at the end of the post????
  5. Remember, I told you to sing it! "Somewhere Over the Rainbow. Weigh up pie!
  6. It is Thursday....time for some jokes? Was waiting for @saber5055 to post but here goes!! A tomato family is walking down the road, baby tomato falls behind. Daddy Tomato goes back and slaps him on his head and says, Ketchup! (Groan) Then daddy tomato gets hit by a turnip truck. He's rushed to the hospital and right into surgery. Eventually, the surgeon comes out and tells mommy tomato "I have good news and bad news. Your husband will live, but I'm afraid he'll be a vegetable for the rest of his life." (I know tomatoes are fruit but that doesn't work for this!) This is a thinking kind of riddle! Where do you go to weigh a pie? Somewhere over a rainbow. Sing it!
  7. She didn't get married or take the stage name of Star that Katy suggested. She decided to use James for her brother, who she is so proud of.
  8. Yes, that is the one! I loved watching that show, most of the time in disbelief! Her cakes were so realistic... Duff did good getting her. I love her sculpting! Thank you for "helping" me remember!!!
  9. As much as I like Duff(and dislike Buddy), I cannot help but remember the decorating show that was on last year...can't remember the name but it was set in Texas and it was a husband and wife team. She made some of the most beautiful cakes I had ever seen and her cakes were cakes!!!! They did make a tasting cake also so they had enough cake to serve. Can anyone remember the name of the show? I was truly hoping they would be back this year!
  10. I know that Guy is quite generous with the northern CA area and helping with food, so every time I see the giant grocery store they have, I wonder if he donated everything in it to help people. I know they give away the perishables but how about all the other stuff that people could use right now.
  11. My mother made cobbler both ways, but putting biscuits on top was the way we had it the most....Yummy, fluffy Southern biscuits!!!! Blackberry cobbler is my favorite with peach following closely behind.
  12. My question is what did they do with the piano?
  13. Well, I can say I was 5/5 last week!!! This week??? 2/5😥
  14. September 4, 1966-August 31, 2014 That being said, the last time Jerry Lewis was on was 2010. After that the title of the show was changed to MDA Show of Strength. And no, I did not remember this, I went to Wikipedia! Much to convoluted to explain so here is the link if you are interested. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Jerry_Lewis_MDA_Labor_Day_Telethon
  15. I was so excited when this show was introduced! My grandson loves his Lego and I thought he would love this because of all the builds using the bricks. Boy was I wrong! We skipped all the beginning of the shows and went right to the judging but even that was too much. Why all the "junk" instead of just showing the final work and how they got there. I would truly have liked to see how the builders came up with their ideas and followed through with the building! I did wonder if some of the final judging was a combination of all of their builds? Even tho' the Beard Brothers made a huge thing, I thought it was not exciting...it was a big box and yes I could never do anything like it but it didn't look that amazing just big and depended on the mini figures too much. I actually liked theirs least with the rude dude and his partner coming in second. Their peacock was gorgeous and had some great humor added but so much of their work put them in the bottom two throughout the season that I didn't feel they belonged there for the end. I would have liked to have seen what the two young guys would have done if they had made it to the finals. Really glad that Tyler and Amy won. They were so creative throughout the whole series and I was a bit upset that they came in third last week, mostly because they lacked color....not really their fault since they worked with what they were given and did it well. Another reason I was rooting for them is because they lived in the next town from where I used to live. Actually they were closer to Sarasota than they were to Bradenton since they live out in the boonies way east of town! Not sure if I will watch next year or not. I will check it out and hope that they "clean" it up some showing more building and less filler.
  16. I was lucky I guessed Cleveland...could only think of Lincoln like everyone else but couldn't think of who was buried there. So I kept thinking of cities named for a "presidental name". Of course, I had no idea what relative was involved so I googled it... Cleveland was distantly related to General Moses Cleaveland, after whom the city of Cleveland, Ohio, was named. Now that is a piece of trivia! The spelling was even different!
  17. Yes to both questions! Just depends on what is emphasized in each show. They always add or improve the AC....if the house doesn't have air, feel sorry for Ben...he is soppy wet.
  18. While watching this episode, all I could think of was how many of those beautiful oaks along the streets were not there anymore!( I just watched the first show from this year after the December hurricane hit.) This latest storm was awful and even though it didn't hit Laurel directly, I think there was still lots of tree damage in the area. Soso only has 400ish people and from what I have read and seen everyone was affected. We were lucky here in Starkville...just lots of wind and rain but I bet Jones county quivers if it even rains a bit now. I really love how each house that Erin does...no cookie cutters for her. I really like how they enclosed that staircase...it looked dangerous before. The backyard looked nice but again, this is Mississippi with many, many bugs and heat and humidity. I would want a screened in area with fans so that I wouldn't be targeted by the mosquitoes and temperatures!!!
  19. Love your jokes @saber5055 so here is one for you!
  20. My favorite should be the U of F gal, but I love the guy from Yale and he is from Miami anyway. Cannot root for the Old Miss girl....we are Mississippi State fans!!
  21. Guess you forgot to check my answer sheet one day!😪
  22. 5/5!!!! Still remember things from my college days.....long time ago, and far, far away!!!
