  1. Just saw this and thought I would share! https://www.hgtv.com/shows/casting-steve-ford-leanne-ford-luke-caldwell-clint-robertson-new-shows
  2. I really enjoyed this show and can't wait for my 10 year old grandson to see it! I know he doesn't have over 3 million legos but it sure seems like he does! He usually built the set from the directions but I truly think he had more fun when he would sit down and design his own!! Am I the only one who wonders if they work straight through the 15 hours? I am amazed at some of the cake shows where they are given 5-6 hours, but 15? And it seems unfair if you need a bathroom or snack break, you have to use your building time. Does anyone know?
  3. HOT! But the strange thing was that my electric bills were lower than usual because it rained, and rained, and rained.
  4. I hope the same thing....please we do not need another Chip Gaines! And I also hope they don't run Home Town over and over again..., HGTV don't overdo the number of times you show each episode so that we know the script word for word!
  5. Wonder if they will have FSU and UFL on the same day?....now that would be a competition!
  6. Yes, this is true. Usually 3 or 4 years but one minister requested to stay one more year so that his daughter could stay for her senior year of high school and this was granted. We had a really lovely parsonage on a very nice lot. Close to the church and it had 3 or 4 bedrooms so there was plenty of room.
  7. Really liked tonight's show! Knowing that Ben(and Jesse) knew quite a bit about how minister's moves worked made the show fun! I loved how they put the planters in front of the addition so that it wasn't as apparent an add-on as an enclosed carport usually is. I am guessing they didn't realize how large the pew was and how much work it was going to take to finally manage to get it inside...whew! Loved the headboards that Ben created...they looked great and even though the space would have more room if they had used bunk beds, I think most girls would prefer a single bed. I hope someday they go back and redo the house in Laurel....I loved that they were going to leave the large screened-in porch!
  8. Lousy week! Started off well but went downhill quickly! 2/5
  9. When they showed the bathroom, you could see the "toilet room"(painted a pretty blue) with stacked washer and dryer opposite the toilet. I personally would like the w/d in a room like that since that is where my hamper is...no lugging the laundry to the laundry room, you are already there!!!
  10. But the category was "A"tonym meaning opposite or am I reading that wrong?
  11. I must say, I am not really enjoying this year. The kids seem to know how to bake but they surely can't decorate very well. Only Greyson's llama even vaguely resembled what a llama should look like. The other thing that bother's me are the two boys with speech problems. Both of my boys had speech therapy when they started school and their problems were solved quickly(and at a very young age). Why haven't the parents done something. It is really hard to watch these kids struggle with speaking.
  12. Probably not once she was told that the house could be moved! Wonder why great grandma and great grandpa chose the original site when all of those gorgeous pecan trees were just a little way away? I loved what the Napiers did with that house...well, maybe with the exception of the backsplash! I do wish that they had screened one of the porches. I live about 2 1/2 hours northwest of Laurel and the mosquitoes are unbelievable. I am quite fair skinned and really don't enjoy being eaten alive!
  13. 2/5 with the * I had to use J!Archive for the Friday game. Our station reran the Thursday episode!....I called and they said they had technical problems....and they stated on the Friday night news they would be running it at 2:30 AM Tuesday AM....sure must have been a huge technical problem!!!! Can't wait to see if they actually run it...the woman I talked to at the station said they had loads of calls about the mistake.
  14. You are me! The moment I started her first book, Going Home(1972), I could not put it down! I sat out in the living room and read, and read, and cried and cried! I started reading her books then until I realized that I knew what was going to happen, and weened myself off!
  15. Me, three! In the first round, Jazz and Christa were the two that were told that their crispy potatoes were mushy ...but they were fine. I liked Bobby and his partner and thought they should have gone through. J & C's fish and chips really looked unappetizing to me...if I have fish and chips I want fried fish and real true chips....and no curry for me thank you. I was really unhappy with this tournament and did think it was already decided before it even started. I usually like the tournament play but not this one.
  16. Whether it's taking on a personal project or getting homes market-ready for buyers, Mike Holmes and his son, Mike Jr., work side-by-side to transform properties and create memories on their father-son journey. Add in sister Sherry and the whole Holmes gang is so much fun to watch! I looked to see if this show was anywhere on the site and couldn't find it...forgive me if I missed it somewhere. I have been having fun watching this show on Sunday nights...sorta' binge-like! I have missed seeing Mike so much. If I ever could afford to have any renovation or building done, he would be my first choice. It is unbelievable what some contractors do and get away with....with Mike and family following up, maybe some of them would be caught!!!
  17. I knew I had seen this before but it was listed as NEW. I looked to see what the preview said, and it was Season 1, Episode 1, 2017. Who could forget the swing with the pulleys? I really like these folks, they seem so comfortable with each other. They really made a difference to this house...only thing I didn't like was how close it was to the street but at least they put up a good fence. And I agree, I really like Chance with a beard.
  18. I think everyone knows this but how ironic.....
  19. But, but, but he never kept the runaway game. Ken kept catching up so I see no reason for disliking him although so many of you do. I knew that Madison was the shortest president but I was truly surprised when I checked and saw that Monroe was 6' tall!!
  20. I thought they did a wonderful job on a very strange house! I had to laugh at 10 minutes in to the show when Jenny said she would like to know who designed that house! (I had just said that to myself!) There was lots of room in the house but it was strangely laid out so that it didn't seem like there was much room. The kitchen was wonderful after they finished and was bright and clean looking. I really liked the floors they used and having one continuing floor was a good thing. I hated the carpet surrounded by really ugly tile. Until they painted the paneling I did feel like I was in a log cabin....too much brown wood. I, too, would have liked to see what the upstairs looked like but @RoxiP said, they probably left it for the next go-round because of budget. The one thing that I was a little mad at Dave for was making Jenny go up on the balcony. I, too, have a huge problem with heights....never did when I was younger but it got worse and worse as I aged. It is not funny to someone with Acrophobia to be forced into going up high. I know when I went to the Grand Canyon, I held the camera out in front of me, snapped the photo, and looked at it when we got back to the hotel. No leaning over and looking for me!!! And I agree it was strange for her to call Dave home for the birth of the kid.You could tell the baby was a few days old so it was just done for the show!!! I loved how she wanted to be there though.
  21. I can't hear this song without thinking of David Cook from American Idol!
  22. As much as I like James, I dislike Kelly so much I'm not sure I can watch. I'll have to think about this!!!!
