I recorded the "new" Color Splash shows today mostly to enjoy seeing David sans tattoos. Boy, what a difference! I liked David when he was on Design Star and it is hard to watch him now. He has to be running out of room to add any more tats but who knows? He was so nice looking way back when and I actually cannot watch him anymore. Maybe if he hadn't added the neck tats? And he has his legs completely covered also.

I am surprised that no one has mentioned the "sorta' tombstone" looking backsplash! I remember when Erin(Home Town) did one similar and everyone commented!!! I do think this one looks better but still, I would want a backsplash to cover all of the back area! I was also surprised at how little Tad had done while he was living there. Just a mattress on the floor and a ratty couch. I know they probably took out some furnishings but it sure looked like he just lived there with not much going on.(I was also glad that the pipes had just been undone to check on something and had not been there for the whole time!) I actually like what they did with the house and that it was not a shotgun style house. The work they did on the outside was really nice although I am not sure how they came up with the coastal Hampton part of the design!

Well, I guess I will join you in the punch bowl! I tried watching but just couldn't make it through a whole episode. I felt quite alone since everyone else seemed to enjoy these episodes...glad there are at least two of that don't. I can funny comments all by myself!

I must be an old fuddy duddy(well, I am old anyway) but I thought that this episode was a bit raunchy for 7 in the evening(I am in the central zone). One used to be able to watch quiz shows with the whole family....this episode in no way was appropriate for that! Plus I would much rather watch two different sets of families...at least you might like one of them!........or am I really an old fuddy duddy?

Well, this one didn't! Originally Mina projected a 70K profit which would have been massive for them but they ended up with 25K which is their "normal" . They have never made a lot of money on any one house. Guess we are used to seeing the CA shows with the large profits(which I usually question). Guess we will never really know how much they make!

I am upset! Jeopardy was preempted today...I thought, ok, I will watch it at 2:30 AM where they usually move it...NOT...they are going to put the second half of Day of Our Lives! I called the station to find out when J would be shown...it isn't going to be. I explained the the lady that it is part of a two part Tournament but to no avail. She said they was no where to put it. I am not happy....I haven't watched Days in years and probably the same stuff is happening as the last time I watched it!

Now for a couple short funnies! "Dad, did you get a haircut?" "No, I got them all cut!" "My wife is really mad at the fact that I have no sense of direction. So I packed up my stuff and right!" I don't fly often and usually buy the $5 box deal...better than peanuts at least! But my son flies quite frequently because of conferences he attends(missed out on Ecuador this summer) and his favorite meals have been on Turkish Air. Lots of choices and they have snacks that one can go back and get when you want one. He brought me home the menus and they sure sounded great! Anyone fly Turkish Air?

I lived in Sarasota for 46 years and never saw the circus museum! We went to the Ringling Art Museum lots tho'. Glad I figured out the answer without going to the circus museum!!

I have started watching MasterMinds on the game show network and the other night they had the question, "Which US state is the only one with two panhandles?" Even Ken Jennings missed it! One panhandle goes north and south and the other east to west. West Virginia!

I love the loft! It is gorgeous and the fireplace is a work of art! That headboard was not only beautiful but different in a good way! The one thing that I noticed that I feel was missing was fans on the rooftop deck! It is hot and sticky in MS in the summer but if you have air moving, it feels much better plus it keeps the bugs away....well, it at least helps! I like Erin and I do think that she does quite a bit of the work. I read her blog from the very beginning before the show became a reality so I realized how nervous she was. Yes, Ben spoils her but that is his thing so let him do it. Plus she is quite a bit younger than her brother Clark so you know she was spoiled....let her enjoy it. I guess since I grew up in the south it is a way of life and seems quite normal to me! I love this show and I am making sure that I don't watch the marathons since I don't want to grow tired of it. I am enjoying the "special" shows they have been doing with all the background stuff but I will draw the line at watching them all the time or they will become like Fixer Upper where I know the dialogue word for word!

I like this version much more than the original and I love Brooke!(How the heck does she walk in those high heels?) Since I stopped watching The Chase, I didn't realize that this show had reinvented it self. Boy some of the questions are really hard...stumping even the Master Minds. Try it sometime just to pick up some interesting trivia! For example, "What state has two panhandles?" I record it so I can watch it in no time!

I actually liked the house "before" better with the exception of the huge stars on the floor...I did like like the wood she chose.(and I would have wanted the mouse nest gone!!) I thought the black and white exterior was cold looking and then plopping the green door on was strange. I don't think I could have lived with those bright yellow cabinets especially with the wallpaper which had no yellow in it. I really liked this show last year but this year, not so much. Too many bright colors and wild wallpaper and not enough of the original. I still like individual rooms.
