  1. You were not the only one! My son has been stopping by every afternoon to check on me...thank you Mr. Virus...and we watch Jeopardy. He just sits there and answers all the questions quietly without much enthusiasm but boy was today different! He was cheering when the guys answered correctly and when the girl missed! I meant to check the recording to see how long she did not push the button at all...she was standing there like a lump! Jerry Falwell was my least liked television evangelist. Great grandmother loved him and donated all the time. When she died, the Falwell's called so many times to get money it wasn't funny...my father-in-law finally told them not to call again and hung up on them! We all applauded!
  2. Were you peeking at my answer again?😁
  3. Thank you, thank you, thank you! And I promise I didn't look at @illdoc's answers!
  4. Not positive, but I think the upper age is 28....
  5. Just wondering where you got this info? I ran my recording back to check their ages and both said 28. Plus I read this, "There is no information disclosed regarding her exact date of birth but she is 28 years old which means her birth year should be 1992" and this from an Idol article, "With only one spot remaining, the judges revealed that they can’t (and won’t!) choose between the two remaining contestants, Grace Leer and Lauren Mascitti. In the judges’ defense, both women are 28-year-old country powerhouses from Nashville, so comparisons are bound to be drawn. That said, I’m not really sure why they weren’t both sent through to the Top 20 over some of the previous contestants that the judges weren’t 100-percent certain about. And there were several of those." This is the last year for both according to the ages given and I always feel sorry because they cannot come back(if there is another season!)
  6. I really feel sorry for whichever girl loses in the vote off! They are both 28 so this is their last chance...wish they would just go with both of them! Of course, I wonder how the show will go on now but knowing Idol, it will be some strange way! Also, did anyone else notice that not one mention of Layne but Alejandro got blessed by that old Hawaiian women in a scene from last year?
  7. Another middle of the road week.......3/5
  8. The Mini Cooper but I never knew that was the inspiration for the mini skirt! I thought it was because it was short, thus the maxi is long! Edited to add: first built in 1959
  9. My only problem with the final 4 is that I am so sorry that Darnell forgot his bread! He would have beaten Amanda and I think he could have gone all the way. I would have loved to see him make the breakfast, lunch and dinner. He did something similar on the Thanksgiving show and I think he would have done well....darn that piece of flatbread!!!!!
  10. I guess it is a little better because I got an * this week!!! 3/5 plus *
  11. Me, too. Plus I was happy Justin's dish won! I like him lots and lots!! I do not do hot food, and my mouth was burning just watching the poor judges with their eyes running and almost unable to speak. OUCH!!
  12. Several thoughts after the last show. Who would guess that someone named Laine Hardy won last year? Just watching this year's shows, one would think Alejandro Aranda was the winner(and I never liked him). The other thing that struck me a bit on the humorous side is all the talk about singing their own music...I am so far out of the new music it all seems the same to me. I have heard of some of the newer singers but don't know their music at all...OK, I am old but I am not impressed by most of the newer singers that I have heard when listening to what my granddaughter listens to. I'm actually not sure why I am watching this year....I turned off last year. Will make it through the top twenty and I figure I will tune out again. Time will tell!
  13. I love that game!! We got a set when the kids were really young and played it all the time. I found it a couple of years ago when I was in the drug store and bought it....a HIT...so we are playing it again like old times and this time I am old while playing it!!😉
  14. Did you mail it inside the PO? Otherwise, it goes to the next big town to be postmarked.
  15. I am surprised that no one has mentioned Intercourse, PA which is in Lancaster county. Got to love those Amish!!! And a popular town in FL is Christmas.
  16. Middle of the road again....that lane is getting pretty worn down! 3/5
  17. I want to know what is with these two women and banisters and railings? Last week they had the stairs going to the loft area with no hand railing and tonight, the front stairs with absolutely nothing to hold on to! Ben(on Home Town) keeps saying without railings the stairs would not meet code...I would never have stairs with nothing to support you on the way up or down!!!!
  18. And for me that is sad! I was really looking forward to March Madness. This year's SEC men's teams were pretty equal and on a good day anyone could have won their game. And I was hoping that our (Mississippi State)women's team could get everything together and finally beat South Carolina!!! Baseball and Softball had just begun and both of our teams were looking good. I know that the cancellations and postponements are necessary but I do feel sorry for the seniors who will miss the end of their college careers. My son is a professor and is scrambling to get his classes set up for online teaching. He has done it before but it has been a long time so he has his work cut out for him.
  19. I don't follow Fixer Upper anymore so I had to search for the Forum. I just read this on Instagram and found it interesting. This could end up being quite expensive for Chip and Jo! https://www.instagram.com/p/B9nwXMmgo-T/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet
  20. I am pretty sure I saw it(I liked Dennis Quaid) because I would not have watched it for JLL....never liked him. Not only was Jimmy Swaggart his cousin, so is Mickey Gilley!
  21. That is what I thought until I went to J! Archive and they had just Jerry Lewis. For the heck of it, I went to Wiki and read up on Jerry Lee Lewis....not a nice man in any shape, size or form! Between 7 wives(one of them his cousin who was aged 13 when they got married), tax evasion and bankruptcy his life was/is a mess!
  22. That is what I heard also so I went to J!Archive and Jerry Lewis is what they have as an answer and boy is that WRONG! There is absolutely nothing alike with those two men!!!!!
  23. Even tho' it isn't the same Holmes show, I enjoyed the Holmes Make it Right that HGTV ran this weekend! It just makes me realize how much I miss seeing Mike Holmes on my television! If I were to ever buy a house again, I would want Mike with me to help me Make It Right!!!!!
