  1. Nobody into Moonshiners anymore? Husband and I still watch & enjoy. Interesting that Tim had so much trouble selling, I thought he had a pretty good online presence. Josh couldn't get a break if he fell off a roof :/
  2. Interesting take on this! I took it that he was angry that SHE couldn't admit to having made a friend in Ada because it had always been so hard for her to become close to people, yet here she is bonding with this girl and having things in common. More like "see, you can do this!". I agree he should've realized she didn't have a circle of friends outside of Scorpion but maybe that was a sort of revelation to him - an aha moment. By the end of the episode Happy realized Ada WAS her friend and I think her actions then reflected that. Just my take :) I love how we all see something different.
  3. Yesterday's episode was pie. I have to say as much as I LOVE everything about this show, the people, England! - I would starve lol! Some of those fillings looked hideous but their pastry looked delish. I wondered if they were going to let anyone go since Diane is unable to complete the season, but they did. (Thanks to Athena I know this is the 1st season aired by PBS)
  4. Wasn't there a bakery already in the Silos called Flour? I've never been (yet!) but thought I remember hearing about this. I see a lot of love between Chip & Jo; just because they're different doesn't mean there's no love. He's the playful prankster and she's more serious, kind of like my husband and I and I wouldn't trade him for the world. I don't see anything resembling no love. To each their own.
  5. This was a good preview of things to come this summer, can't wait! They looked like they were having so much fun and we always love seeing how supportive they are of each other. We appreciated Matt's exuberance much more after seeing him on Celebrity Apprentice :)
  6. Thanks everyone! I have only seen 2 seasons, so this one's new to me. So sad about BBC not carrying it anymore, I love this show. Thank you! I'll check this out :)
  7. I'm not sure which season it is, because I get confused about their season and when it airs in the US, but we're getting another season on Sunday afternoons. I hadn't seen it before...it has Martha the 17 year old and (this is really bad) I can see faces but not quite put names to them. Does this make sense to anyone lol? Just wondering if anyone else it catching this or is it super old and they're just re-airing it for some reason?
  8. I agree. I that whole thing with Happy plotting her dad's escape was odd. How would he have been able to walk her down the aisle if he'd have taken her up on her plan? It's not like he'd be "free" to do so - people, not to mention Cabe - would be looking for him and sending him right back to prison. For a longer stretch, too.
  9. My husband and I watch Ninja every season so while we were familiar with Matt, we didn't really know anything about him. Seeing him on CA was pretty cool, gave us some insight to his personality - he's the same way on Ninja. Super energetic...we like him. I was happy with the outcome, but would have been happy with either one. I don't remember Arnold and the other judges going to George's room, did I miss that? We saw them going to Matt's and commenting on the passport and animals. I'm with those who were happy to NOT see the fake drama that's usually on this show; much nicer to see people interact in a more likeable way. Hope it returns next season.
  10. The sad thing is I (now) agree with this - but I was a solid Team "can't WAIT for this to happen!" There isn't enough space for me to write what I'd change, and you all have said things much better than I could have anyway. To me, there wasn't one redeeming factor in this "revival". I hope ASP reads this forum and sees what a mess she made out of something that could've been sooooo good. So, I'm just going to keep rewatching the OS and pretend this crapfest never happened. "lalalala"
  11. I know! What's up with this? It's so random anymore :/
  12. My thoughts exactly!
  13. Only on page 2 but ^ this. I've read all the SH stories, multiple times. It's a goldmine of future episodes! They've already done a few - the Thatchers for one and I saw on the blackboard of this episode the "dancing men". There's so much legit material, so yeah - why the "avant-garde mess"? So often good ideas (this series) end up with poor execution :(
  14. This is what happens when I wait several days after airing to post, I can't remember details but ..... Did anyone catch Barbara telling the last lady (the grease bag lady?) how great it was that she talked over the sharks and how that showed her tenacity (or whatever, like I said...details escaping me) and "when have you ever seen that?" Um. Just a few minutes ago on the same show....breast feeding lady. Only her overtalking was VERY annoying and in no way a positive thing! Just a thing I noticed; same behavior different results.
  15. We watched the first show. Yeah, something glitchy about this. I don't like shows that have such extremes and the end result (after wasting an hour watching) is nada. Nothing. Zip. I like to see people win SOMETHING. All that effort for nothing. I don't know. Maybe that's not the right way to think of it. I hated all the filler, too. Why can't they create a show (if they have to create something "new") that just plays the game? The "game" should be fun enough, no?
  16. Funny to see this, I saw a couple of old episodes of Divine Design (2003/2004) the other day. SO refreshing! No "problems" right in the middle of the reno, no vocal fry, no "I HAVE to have (insert current trend), no arguing, I could go on. Just.....design. Seeing her process, what she chose. She was kinda cheesy, but I'll take that over the crap they give us now. And I miss Chico :D Now granted, those things don't apply to Chip and JoJo, but rather HGTV as a whole. I generally like Jo's style but do agree she could change it up a bit and I'm really hoping that banquette/island isn't her new thing because I didn't like it either. I also thought the fridge was placed where the wall cabinets should've gone, looked to me like the refrigerator was more separated from the kitchen and more in the living/dining room space. I thought the wall cabinets would've looked better in it's place - more like furniture if that makes any sense :)
  17. We'll give this a shot, it wasn't terrible. I was surprised at how much I liked Boy George, too! (someone upthread expressed that as well) As far as the video being shot wrong....I can rotate a video on my PHONE, how can someone with all that state of the art editing equipment NOT be able to do that? I ask this sincerely, maybe I'm missing something. I thought the guys also deserved both wins. I didn't actually think Kyle would have deserved to be "terminated" ;) just because the idea was hers, especially when almost everyone, including the PM loved the idea. I think it fell more on the PM because she didn't listen to the one dissenting voice to at least see if there was a good point being made; which obviously there was.
  18. Maybe it's just me, but I've noticed lately a lot of horrible clashing between countertops and backsplash. Not the least of which was in the house the St. Louis couple chose :/ Separately they were ok, but together.....? In one of the other houses they looked at there was a terrible green strip going through a backsplash and I don't even like to think about the tile in the bathroom of one of those houses (might have been the same house as this one). Is this a thing now or do people just think "I like this backsplash and this countertop and don't care if they don't go well together"?
  19. Me, too! Agree about Jason's win, too. His yule log was not decorated at all! Can we keep being random, judges? :/
  20. So. Opinion # 50609848485 here, diehard fan. My daughter and I watched GG when she was in college. She'd call me and we'd sing the theme song together as it came on. We were sad it wasn't on the revival :( We had our "watch party" on Friday, ate our weight in junk food - complete with poptart appetizers with apple in the middle. After 6 hours we just looked at each other and said "what?" There were good parts, for sure. But - it didn't feel right. I'm sorry, and I honestly don't mean to be so petty - but Lauren Graham didn't even look like Lorelai to me. Whatever work she's had done changed her mouth, her smile, that was sooo beautiful. It threw me. Alexis Bledel is still (to me!) so stiff. It's hard to explain. Some things I observed: - In "Richard in Stars Hollow" Emily visited the "family mausoleum" so Richard wouldn't be in a grave as they showed. But, I agree they handled his passing with grace. - Paris' research panned out (kind of!) when Rory made Valedictorian over her at Chilton and many of the previous Valedictorian's lives didn't turn out quite so great (yet) - Was disappointed they didn't show Sookie and Jackson's kids - I always had wondered what they named their third one, very little of Lane and Paris' kids. I know it wasn't all about them, but there had been so much speculation before the Revival - who were the kids following Lorelai and Rory around town? That kind of thing - thinking, hoping they would belong to someone we knew. Instead, they were just random kids. - I thought the reference to Mr. Kim was so long overdue as to be pointless now; a bone thrown to everyone who asked about him in the past. - Rory's dad is filthy rich, her grandfather just passed and it would be highly unlikely he didn't provide for her in his will. The being broke thing didn't play. It's not like she showed her mom's disdain for their wealth, it was just never addressed. - Lorelai saying G-D, and Emily saying bullshit MULTIPLE times in one scene was gratuitous. They were on Netflix, so they could. All in all, I was disappointed and thought it could've been so much better. They can write better than this. That stupid musical. Wasted time when other things/people we knew, loved and missed could've had more of an arc. Disappointed.
  21. We are! Poor Josh :/ can't catch a break. Won't spoil anything until people start talking about it, but I'm glad it's back. I lived in NC for many years and am proud of the fact that I do not need the subtitles :D
  22. I loved how Sly was keeping in touch with Walter's family, even playing Words with Friends with the grumpy (uncle? I forgot what the relation was)! That was so cute!
  23. Oh good. I thought it was just me!! Re: people ( like Shelly Baker) trying to approach the bench to hand JJ things - are they NEW? I mean, have they really never seen this show? Maybe...I suppose that's possible. Or any court show - how do you not know you don't approach the bench? Byrd's reaction!
