  1. VERY obvious. Poor, poor sportsmanship. And ditto. Can NOT get off my tv fast enough. I am seriously hating the follow the leader board hopping trend that I'm seeing :/ Seems like one contestant starts out at the top of the board then when one person jumps, they do it, too. Maybe it's just me, but it's getting alllll too common.
  2. Good one! He reminds me of the oldest Goldberg son, Barry, for some reason. That other guy last night though, don't remember his name, but could he move that buzzer back and forth any faster? I was getting seasick. I think if it wasn't for the starting in the middle/board hopping, I could get used to Matt. He seems to have dialed down the intensity a bit, and anyone who can shut Alex up works for me.
  3. AMEN to this! This is the first time I've watched this show. HOW refreshing! From the kindness (compared to American counterparts) to the real looking people (no fake teeth, or very few - no botox, just real, lovely people) I don't mean any disrespect by that comment, I guess I just think about the contestants on Master Chef, for example - some of them look more like characters rather than who they really are. No constant drama, f bombs, snarky comments toward each other. Yes. I'm a fan. Most everything was so different from what I'm used to seeing, it's very interesting to see their creations.
  4. This times a billion.
  5. Exactly! I even tried to see if there was a FB page for the show to see if anyone else picked up on this. Surprised not to find a page :/
  6. Thank you. This seems to be a fairly new thing. In years past they wore bathing suits, it can be done. Not a fan of watching everyone run around in underwear. Woo might be a bit clueless, but I like him :) Abi-Maria can go anytime.
  7. Me, too! Is this some kind of new "normal"? I don't like it, but am seeing it more and more. Super annoying. Leaving so many clues on the board also super annoying :/
  8. Slight hijack -- but to the post above, there used to be a show on HGTV that would redo a room from things found around someone's own home. I can't remember the name of it, but I loved that! They would pull things from other rooms, or attics/basements and rearrange things for a totally new look - with their own things. That being said, I'm a huge fan of Joanna and Chip & looking forward to seeing what they did with the Silos :)
  9. I do. I remember most all of the old HGTV shows, back when there were actual choices in what to watch :/ and the "G" was in HGTV. I liked her. I had NO IDEA she was married to Sonny Bono! Learn something new every day.
  10. A poster after my own heart :)
  11. We thought the same thing! Fun show, and am also glad it's not over the top with the bleeping of the f words and being so hateful to each other.
  12. Unless I'm remembering wrong, they got an answer wrong in the "M" category - Malibu has 27 miles of "scenic highway" not 21. Minor, I know :)
  13. Ok made it through 14 pages! Maybe I've missed something, but this has been bugging me - Lorelai paid back her parents with the $75k, although I guess they never really say how MUCH of that went toward Chilton. But then at graduation, when Rory makes her own deal for Emily & Richard to pay for Yale, suddenly this frees up money for Lorelai to use as a down payment for the Dragonfly. Was this same 75k used for both Chilton AND the Dragonfly? Speaking of money and suspending reality, I wonder how much Lorelai spent on rating all the take out the first night at Yale, and to make another run to pick up the things she forgot to get Rory? Seems like an unlimited supply of money, except as others have pointed out, when they NEED it. All that being said, LOVE GG :)
  14. Don't they tell people to STAND STILL? Gah!!!
  15. Amen. What is UP with that anyway? My yelling "I hate you!" every time that happened is causing my husband to seriously start worrying about me :D
  16. I've only read the first page, but I agree with this. This episode started out super slow for me. It took 20 minutes before they even DID anything, other than show them getting to the airport (that's fair) but showing them in the hotel rooms, etc. Don't care. That's taking up race time and did I say I don't care? :) Pushing relationships isn't what I watch this for. Let's just race, people.
  17. Me, too! Otherwise, same ole same ole. There should be SOME kind of change. I don't even know why I still watch this, mostly sub-par cooks (chefs? right.) with attitude and little else. We'll see how it goes, but unless the show can change in some way I doubt I'll be in for the season.
  18. Or Guthrie's. (tried to quote but it wouldn't work) I thought the same thing on that. The middle guy is a board jumper, which still annoys me, so I was hoping for anyone else. Anyone.
  19. I agree, but also want to point out that (and I LOVE Fixer Upper) I've noticed Joanna doing things that I've thought Nicole would never do. At least twice her furniture guy - Clint? - has had to dig good wood out of the dumpster to make things, and there was a 1920's house that Joanna absolutely ripped the character right out of. Nicole would've never done that. That being said, I agree with some of the things said here relating to finishes on RH, staining and whatnot. I think both Nicole and Joanna are very good at what they do for the most part.
  20. I'm so bummed because it doesn't look like my local affiliates are carrying new JJ episodes :( All I seem to be getting are from 2011-2012. When did the new episodes begin? Not that it'll matter to me, sadly.
  21. Re: the whole Nick/Nora clue - wasn't the only difference between the correct and incorrect answer was that Ann didn't give the last name? I thought she said "Nick and Nora" then (sorry forgot his name!) the other contestant rang in with Nick and Nora Charles. I agree with everyone upthread who said the clue was poorly written. Seems like poor judging is becoming the rule rather than the exception. :/
  22. Lol I may have said that exact same thing :) Little snot, indeed!
  23. Didn't like the correct ruling for the answer of car racing (or was it just racing?) instead of NASCAR. It could've been several different things there. Judging always seems so arbitrary, you have to be specific about THIS but not THIS. :/ I also didn't like Adam having to be reminded all the time to choose. I know they're kids but still should get into a rhythm at some point. Not a huge fan of Kid's week.
  24. I get the same vibe about her son, too. I also wasn't enthused about the mirror frame pictures and mirror she ended up hanging over the bathroom sink. They didn't seem to fit at all, to me. We wondered about the background of this house, did we tune in too late or did she just not mention how she came about doing this one?
