  1. Per Cultbox, the latest filming was at Wales Millennium Center with filming taking place in the bar, which appeared to be dressed up like a futuristic alien bar https://cultbox.co.uk/news/headlines/doctor-who-series-13-filming-at-wales-millennium-centre
  2. Like I suggested previously, it wouldn’t surprise me if it was mainly because of expenses. The two year renewal was up this season as was Janney’s latest contract
  3. For US viewers, per an AMC Networks press release, BBC America will broadcast the animated remake of the Doctor Who: Fury from the Deep serial on Sunday, March 21 at 6pm ET/5pm PT (all 6 half hour episodes back to back) http://thefutoncritic.com/news/2021/02/18/amc-bbc-america-ifc-and-we-tv-announce-upcoming-premiere-dates-for-new-and-returning-original-series-and-specials-103111/20210218amc07/
  4. I’m not surprised given that this is the second year of CBS’s most recent 2 year pickup and the end of Janney’s current contract. It was probably starting to get expensive. I did think the show chugged along nicely without Faris, but at the same time, I kind of missed her
  5. I felt for Dre and his paranoia about doing pot (for different reasons). I sometimes think if I tried it, I feel I would get too paranoid that something would happen medically (I have mild asthma among other issues)) and I would be too out of it to be able to get help
  6. Interesting article from The Hollywood Reporter on the docu series, including the bombshell allegation that Woody Allen may have been in a sexual relationship with Soon-Yi while she was still in high school https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/features/allen-v-farrow-inside-amy-ziering-and-kirby-dicks-explosive-hbo-docuseries?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social
  7. New cast member John Bishop was on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch this past Sunday. A poster on Gallifrey Base summed it up, with John saying he had been in initial discussions for a role, but that the schedule for his comedy tour clashed. When his tour was canceled due to the pandemic, he got back in touch with the producers and was able to take the role. He is set to film until July (it wasn’t clear if that’s just him or the show in general, but probably the show) and his stand up tour will be in September. He also said Series 13 is set to be broadcast in the Autumn (Fall) Per Cultbox, some filming was going on in Porthkerry, with someone able to capture video of a woman apparently being chased by a drone (which could be replaced by special effects possibly in the final cut) https://cultbox.co.uk/news/headlines/doctor-who-series-13-filming-in-porthkerry

    S01.E01: Pilot

I liked this somewhat, but it seems kind of messy. The ending with the “outtakes” of Kenan and his wife playing his mother from his failed show was funny. I’ll see how it goes with the next few episodes
  9. I’m not sure about this. I’ll see how I feel after another couple of episodes
  10. My DVR missed Monday’s episode because it thought it had already been shown in the last month. It also didn’t set to record through Thursday for the same apparent reason. These preemptions are being mean to the DVRs lol. Fortunately, I caught the issue yesterday and set to manually record. I think someone summarized Monday, so thanks for that
  11. Man, this should be interesting Something I find strange is that HBO announced this only a couple of weeks ago or so. It seems something big like this would have been announced months ago (unless I missed it). It makes me think they are afraid of litigation or something else if they stealthed the project until now
  12. In the case of the transgender patient, did I understand correctly that he would have to go off testosterone during the pregnancy and stay off it afterwards, which seemed to suggest he would revert back to female characteristics? If I didn’t misunderstand, why would he have to stay off of it after the pregnancy? If that wasn’t an issue, why was the fiancée so unsure about the pregnancy (other than the pregnancy surprise and complication) if things would be fine afterwards? I agree that the cases were quite interesting tonight, with the surprise that it was Claire who stereotyped the hypertension patient
  13. I let the mods know so hopefully they will fix it
  14. Regarding the title, this should be episode 6
  15. I didn't quite notice the walking, but I did notice he pulled out a stool, which I thought was a little unusual for being at a counter
  16. I found it a bit implausible (but just a bit) that no one knew that the mystery room held the electronics stuff that kept the store displays going. At the very least, Glenn and Dina should have known. If no one gets in big trouble for that mess, I'll be surprised (but only somewhat)
  17. As mentioned in the comments for the last episode as something Frank should be sorry about, he mentioned Eddie's partner that he didn't treat well in the past and gave her another chance, then he gave another chance to that detective turned pawn shop owner. I don't know if that made sense in this case, as that guy was quite angry and had a huge chip on his shoulder. I would be afraid he would take it out on someone on the job or his fellow police officers/detectives Jamie's old friend was definitely over the top and kind of loony (which everyone commented on so it wasn't just us), but she also seemed pretty smart, plus she pegged the bad guy, when Jamie and Anthony just assumed he was telling the truth about the wheelchair Also, as I saw in that thread about things that bug us, Selleck does seem to be breathing harder and moving more poorly. People have commented on a hip replacement and arthritis. I'm wondering if Selleck will consider packing it in within a season or two
  18. Did you all know that Colton Dunne, who plays Garrett, wrote this episode? https://www.givememyremote.com/remote/2021/02/11/superstore-colton-dunn-conspiracy-writing/ And I didn't know he wrote a previous episode ("Forced Hire")
  19. I related a bit to the RV topic because my parents had a camper on a pickup truck when I was little and we used it a lot, to go visit family and to go to our new homes since my dad was in the military and we moved several times. It was not as nice as the one Adam bought though. Adam clearly has some issues with buying stuff on the spur of the moment, but Bonnie is a recovered alcoholic, so I guess they are both messed up
  20. Urgh, I wish shows I liked wouldn’t keep getting canceled. NBC seems to be on the verge of killing all its existing long term comedies I’m not clear on when the show returns, this Spring or next Fall at the earliest?
  21. I had thought Arpi’s presentation was much too detailed and needed to be simplified and that’s what Mikaela was going to point out, but she surprised me by going a different, more knowledgeable way
  22. Cheyenne and Mateo’s disinterest in beefing without an audience was the best part of the episode, followed by the nutty conspiracy stuff
