  1. I saw an article on Facebook about Jolene's appearance. (I don't know how to link to it.) It said that Jolene requested she be credited as just "Jolene", and in the comments someone said she's left the business, married, and runs a foundation under her married name so didn't want to use her previous credit name and didn't want to use her new name.
  2. It's hard to find a TV today that's not "smart". There should be an input setting for at least one HDMI cable which would connect to your cable service or DVD player.
  3. To me, it looked like Robyn had about 1/2 inch roots showing in the scenes inside the church. She's got some gray there.
  4. IMDB's tribute video to those we lost in 2024: https://www.imdb.com/video/vi3418802457/?listId=ls548904507&ref_=ext_shr_lnk
  5. The OG 4 - Tawny, Jack, Noel, and Eugene - joined Wil Wheaton for the end-of-season "The Ready Room". (Unfortunately, I see that Paramount has cancelled "The Ready Room.")
  6. I don't like to dump on a minor, but Grover is never going to be funny.
  7. https://screenrant.com/star-trek-lower-decks-enterprise-tpol-jolene-perfect-comeback-op-ed/ article about Jolene/T’pol
  8. In the Voyager finale, the Doctor was married to a human. I loved it too! I'll bet all the actors had fun voicing their characters without having to get into makeup. Having an evil Harry Kim was a genius move.
  9. Stephen and Evie were interviewed on NPR's "Fresh Air": https://www.npr.org/2024/12/12/nx-s1-5223565/stephen-colbert-cookbook-does-this-taste-funny There's a partial transcript or you can listen to the entire show
  10. I loved Courtney's cosplay costume! My niece is into cosplay and she has put a similar amount of detailed work into her costumes.
  11. I'm on Team Christine - I love how she's so enthusiastic about her new life!
  12. Did he say he doesn't like cats? Or did he just say he prefers dogs?
  13. It was great seeing purple Data. I would not want one of those grapes, though.
  14. I laughed out loud when she took off those earrings!
  15. I'm glad Bobbie and Isabella are developing a good relationship, but the affection did seem to happen suddenly in this episode compared to the previous ones. The football discussion scene between Emmett and Steve was really funny. I was wondering where they are located in Tennessee, and it sounds like they are around Knoxville (UT's main campus is located there), since it is about 100 miles from Johnson City. I noticed earlier in the episode that Emmett's water mug had the orange and white checkerboard, so I knew he was a UT fan. Nice callout to Josh Heupel too. (I hope they didn't jinx the team with the mention; they're having a good season.)
  16. That' insulting too. I hate that "Karen" has become a pejorative.
  17. Well, the cross was just too too ridiculous, even for a comedy that is supposed to be ridiculous. But the rest of the show was pretty good. I liked how the Chaplain wasn't all "forgive and forget".
  18. I've heard he gets paid some kind of required salary if he has lines - I supposed even a "I'm sorry" would count. By the way - Kristin Chenoweth's dress was a horror. She's never been a red carpet standout, but I'd like to know who talked her into that.
  19. I'm glad they're showing Mandy's mom warming up to Georgie. I know I'm in the minority, but I understand why she was upset with Mandy getting pregnant (by a minor!), getting married to said minor, and moving in with them. But Georgie is winning her over.
  20. I agree that David's village was wonderful and it's a crime that they destroyed it. Even though they telephoned the ending - who didn't know who was on the other side of the door? - I still burst into tears when Nora brought her baby to see her Granddaddy Alan.
  21. I'm glad that they've evolved Ava so she's not an awful person; I'm starting to enjoy her character. I've seen the parachute at my 4 year old niece's gymnastics class. Didn't know what they called it.
  22. Janelle is right to be worried that she - and Meri! - could lose all equity in the land due to Kody's inaction. She needed to have a face to face with Meri to at least try to make her see that. Meri is still shell-shocked about the reality of "it's over", and maybe she's not ready to face that reality, but if they default they will lose a ton of money, and Kody won't be able to stop that. (And you can be sure he won't even think about trying to make it right with his exes.) I don't have a problem with the speed of progression of Christine and David's relationship. When you know, you know. Christine might be giggly and excited, but they are spending a lot of time together and they seem compatible. And it's not surprising that Christine's children aren't totally on board; it's a pretty common reaction for children of divorce.
  23. You might want to - John is pretty pissed, might make you feel like you're not alone. BTW - lots of people venting in this thread: edited to add: I should have posted this in the "Election Results" thread - THAT's where he's pissed!
  24. I don't know why Isabella got so snippy at that guy who wanted a drink. How was he supposed to know her name? She wasn't wearing a name tag. Calling a bartender "honey" in the South isn't an insult.
  25. I heard this good analogy - voting isn't like getting into a taxi where they get you exactly where you want to go. It's like getting into a bus or subway - you pick the vehicle that will get you closest. And the choices are built by where the most people want to go.
