  1. I'm another one who did a double-take and said "Who's that??" when she popped up, because I had zero recollection of her. With some of the fugliest wallpaper I've ever seen in the foyer. WTF is that?
  2. Pic of Colin filming with Jim Belushi.
  3. Fairytale of New York has added Jim Belushi to the cast, and the main female character's name has been changed.
  4. I think I lurve him. His reaction to the dog sealed it.
  5. Ugh, it’s totally gonna be three Goliaths in the final, and it’s gonna include Mike and Angelina, and that will SUCK. They’re awful. Davids screwed it up starting with the Carl vote. Why did they not just stick together?? They started cannibalizing too soon and totally ruined it. I want Davey to win. That’s it.
  6. I really, really liked the live-action Cinderella, too. Cinderella was kind and good, but had a backbone. It actually fleshed out the prince some. Their relationship was based on more than one dance (not much more, but at least something more). It explained why the Evil Stepmother was the way she was without excusing (!!!) her behavior at all. I thought it made an effort to put some emotional heft and realism behind the fairy tale, while still hitting all the major points. A lot of touches that Once could've learned from. Ahem. God, I DESPISED that movie and its Once-level villain-aggrandizing, and it ticks me off they're making a sequel.
  7. I hope not. Actors sometimes sing in biopics (assuming they can, of course!). I know Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon actually sang in Walk the Line, but it was mostly actually Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody. The Pogues' singer's voice is pretty distinctive, though. Although the character names are the names of the singers, I wonder if they're just using them as an homage for the characters in the song.
  8. I thought the Women of SNL "All I Want For Christmas" skit was the best of the night -- shame it was last! I'm not a Claire Foy fan (I find her vastly overrated), but I thought she was likable, charming and fun in this. She really seemed like she was having a good time, even if they really didn't give her all that much to do.
  9. I could never, ever, ever have bought Swanfire as a viable, rootable ship after: 1) what Neal did to Emma in "Tallahassee" and 2) the way he acted toward her when they met again, literally laughing in her face at her pain over his betrayal. "Manhattan" utterly killed any possibility of my accepting Emma ending up with Neal. I wanted to kick him in the groin repeatedly after that episode. At that point, I still thought they were probably going to have Emma and Neal end up together, and boy did that thought make me cranky and queasy. What a douchecanoe Neal was. Honestly, I'm not sure which relationship would've ultimately been more toxic for Emma, Swanfire or Swan Queen. Both would be nothing but demeaning to Emma -- and both were in what we were shown onscreen, given how the other halves consistently treated her. In short, eff Neal forever and ever, amen. He was in no way a hero, no matter what the show kept trying to sell after he died. (I'm still flummoxed over how the awesome Original Recipe Baelfire devolved into Neal. Inexplicable. That's probably part of why I didn't like Neal -- he never felt "right" as the character he was supposed to be.)
  10. Colin's IMDB page has been updated with the Dolly Parton series and what looks like a small-budget movie filming in Ireland. I’m thinking the latter, Fairytale of New York, is likely based on the song of the same name by The Pogues. In which case, dare we hope it involves Colin singing??
  11. There's an auction with a TON of props and costumes from OUAT coming up in December. You can bid on Hook's iconic pirate ensemble, his hook, Excalibur, the chipped cup, the Dark Swan oufit, dwarf pickaxes, Elsa's gown, Jefferson's hat, the Author's pen (so you can write your own happy ending!), more swords and daggers than you can shake a stick at, etc., etc., etc. There are more than 300 pages in the catalog! I imagine some of those items are going to have hefty bids. I'd like to have the Emma/Killian Excalibur, but no way I can afford what that's gonna go for! Hook's rum flask would also be cool.
  12. Thank y'all for the suggestions! There's so much I want to do and soooooo little time, I know I'll barely scratch the surface. I've been trying to decide between a walking tour, where I'll get to go into some of the buildings, and a boat tour, where I'll see them from outside but might freeze my butt off. I'll probably only have time for one or the other. Since it's the off-season, there are fewer times and tours to choose from, unfortunately, so that is making it more difficult to fit things in. I think I'll have to choose between the Art Institute and the Field Museum -- I'm leaning toward the latter, because I'm mad at the former for not having their Rosettis on display at the moment, LOL. And I do love me some Egyptian antiquities and fossils. I'm also planning to go to the Driehaus Museum, because I love Gilded Age stuff. Would you believe that out of ALL the hotels in Chicago, the one I booked is the only one still affected by the hotel workers strike that's been going on since September??? Thankfully my reservation is cancelable, and I have another cancelable reservation in backup in case they don't settle the strike.
  13. Anybody familiar with Chicago? I'm going to be there on business next month, and I'll have a (very) little bit of free time. Any suggestions? I've already bought a ticket for a Second City show. I'd love to eat at Girl & the Goat since I'm a Top Chef fan, but 1) there are no reservations available for when I'm there, and 2) it's not near where I'm staying so getting there and back would take up too much time.
  14. I don't understand the secrecy either. It's not like it's Avengers 4 or something.
  15. Colin is filming SOMETHING in Georgia with Willa Fitzgerald (of Scream & Little Women). It's possibly an anthology show for Netflix, since this guy indicated he's working on a western for that and Colin just followed him. After looking at what Netflix anthologies are filming in Georgia, my guess is the Dolly Parton series, but that's just a guess.
  16. Nat & Kat deliberately threw up the sheep head after they got to the hotel, because they knew their systems couldn't handle it. IIRC Kat said she'd determined beforehand that she would eat anything she needed to. My fave TAR winners. I'm a pescatarian, but I'd eat whatever on the show, as long as it was "normal" food. I'd be utterly hopeless at any gross-food challenge, though. The thought of Natalie on the jury -- HORRORS! I hate when one person finds multiple idols. Kudos to the cameraperson for capturing Christian peering through the trees at Dan, though. I wonder if Christian actually saw the idol or if anything will come of that?
  17. Saw it today and really enjoyed it! Still have some of the songs stuck in my head. Who would ever have thought back in the TWoP days that, out of the Alias cast, Willage would have the best career. Cooper really did a great job in all phases. Though it took me awhile not to be distracted by how he changed his voice to make it so much deeper.
  18. Oh no! That is heartbreaking. Cancer SUCKS.
  19. That is my feeling as well. There was a huge ongoing mystery about Jack’s death. Why wouldn’t there be one about Rebecca’s? It would kind of bookend. The time period would be about right, as Rebecca would be old enough in the flash forward for her death not to be “tragically young.”
  20. Could have been a drone. I was more thinking it would trigger him to have some idea about the asteroid. I am fully onboard with the idea of them somehow sending the ark with the Crazy Cabal aboard smack into the asteroid, if Liam can figure out the variable that caused the rail gun to miss.
  21. Am I crazy to think the hummingbird is going to mean something beyond momentary cuckoo? Why do TV characters persist in going into parking garages in a fit of dumb? NOTHING GOOD EVER HAPPENS IN A PARKING GARAGE, PEOPLE!!
  22. From what I hear, it’s REALLY disturbing.
  23. If anyone but Hannahlei wins, it will be a travesty. (Well, as much as a vote on a TV dance show can be called a travesty.)
  24. I'm not rewatching the eps, but I had to quote this, because if you can't say it enough about hating August, then I can't agree with it enough! August and Neal are two of my three least favorite characters in the history of the show. God, I hate them and how they manipulated Emma's life and conspired to send her to prison for a stupid reason that made absolutely zero sense. Asshats. Hate hate haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate.
