  1. It was not as creepy or terrifying as I thought it should have been. But Cig really had the most difficult concept--dark water--yet I can see why that would be something that would be creepy. And it was interesting how he commented that a lot of his forms are similar to what he saw in his nightmares and maybe that was his way of dealing with it. A intriguing insight and I'm glad they included it. Also, I was unpleasantly surprised how well he made that work. And by unpleasantly I mean, it was unpleasant to look at because it was so well done in its horrifyingness. Yes I made up that word. Because his clown did look like it was decaying in water. It fit the challenge, it was amazingly well done and it lost to a doll. Ok. Whatever. If Sasha wins, I will not be happy. And George. Never change George. His deadpan delivery with his ridiculous statements just make me laugh every time. I love him.
  2. I enjoyed it, and it seemed like they're keeping the momentum they're started at the end of last season, so that's encouraging. And while I'm not fond of the sanctimonious speeches Coulson was giving, I just watched Providence and Coulson losing it. His whole identity was as a SHIELD agent and it was taken away. But the motivation and character of someone who helps and protects people wasn't and he's hanging on to the slim shreds as best he can. Just like Fitz has illusory!Simmons, so Coulson has his speeches trying to help him figure out who he is and what he can do. At least, that's how I'm taking it because otherwise, shut up Coulson.
  3. I still love this show. I was getting more and more irritated that they didn't explain how Abby got out, but kudos to such a loooong fakeout. Though when I saw the cupcake my first thought was DON'T EAT THAT! I may have fist pumped when I saw Andy. If that's all we see, it's nice that he got a better send off than AlienBug Andy. That's he's caught and he's playing both sides. John Cho is awesome. I like evil Henry. Franklin was a hoot. And loved Jenny giving Crane a hug, too. I was so glad to have Sleepy Hollow even Katrina didn't bother me. Much.
  4. Those were awesome. Loved the narration. Completely fit the tone of the show--serious, with just a bit of humor and acknowledgement that this is crazy.
  5. I let a lot of the train stuff that Mr. Toast does, which consists mostly at looking at maps online, slide because I'm on the computer a lot doing PTV. We both realize it gives a lot of happiness in life and just go with it. Though, there is a thought of perhaps he could not do it every day. It would help if it was something you shared, but if it was something he did before he met you, I don't think asking him to give it up entirely is fair. Maybe he could set aside a day that's just for you. I will say that the online game stuff is HUGE. I guess he disproves the trope that gamers all live in their parents basement and don't have girlfriends.
  6. I need to work mimsy into my everday vocabulary. "SB, your homeworks is kind of mimsy, you need to add a little more to it". That was a terrible color for Neville. Mustard is a hard color to carry and Neville doesn't. I was surprised Dina won because I liked Cig's and Drew's better. And I was glad to see Drew validated, though I can completely understand him sweating bullets. Sasha and the vocal fry is getting tiresome. I hope this is a growing up moment for her, because sheesh.
  7. And yet, there's an even better thread for it--the Child Rearing Duggar Style thread. Which is where the discussion can be taken.
  8. It was because of John Cho that I pitied Andy and was repulsed by him. And I was glad to see Abbie felt the same way. And by repulsed I don't mean the deadish skin. I mean there's just something a little icky in the way Andy behaves.
  9. I saw this this morning and I had to share. It's a sad reminder of the magic that was lost.
  10. The tree takes up so much room in the living room I try to wait until about 2 weeks before Christmas. Also, crostini's birthday gets overshadowed enough.
  11. Some leaves are already turning here, and I've seen mums out, so go ahead! Put 'em out! I don't really decorate for the seasons, to be honest. The model trains take up a lot of room. Also, I'm crap at decorating.
  12. General admin assistant, office support sort of stuff.
  13. Hugs, Glory. That's a tough place to be on Monday. How long have you had her, it doesn't seem that long. But sometimes, it's just not right and there's no way of knowing until you get the dog home. If you'd like some good news? I have an interview on Wednesday. Yay!
  14. As much as I loved seeing Glen let his hair down (or, rather, put his back) I really enjoyed watching Ve work. She seemed fun, focused and fabulous. I like her criticisms and praise when she's a judge and she did not disappoint in the workroom. Love her. And I loved Neville. "Face Off is haaaaarrrrrd." HEE! Love him. Such a gorgeous smile. Glen, you're awesome too. His look of confusion when Wayne walked by with the heavy molds and his mimicking of it (all very nice) was awesome.
  15. It's not a favorite commercial, but I do get a chuckle from an Excedrin commercial where the daughter YELLS at her brother after he's dropped something that he has to be quiet because mom has a headache. Only because I've had my daughter do the exact same thing.
  16. I got more irked at Jason because if you don't like whimsy let the person that does have the concept. Don't be an entitled baby about it, be thankful that you have a teammate that is thrilled to be working. (And strategy wise, if it goes badly, it's their fault and you've skated through a challenge.) But given how the message women receive is don't be bossy or demanding or you're a bitch, I can see why Sasha didn't push it. I hope she learns from Ve and Lois that it's not being bitchy being right and you can balance team work and leadership. But, if this is Sasha's way of eliminating competition, she's brighter than I giver her credit for. I loved the Tin Woodsman. That was awesome but if the witch had the criticism of not having Wonderland, the Tin Woodsman didn't have anything other than costume. I don't know how you'd change the look of the Tin Man without losing the essence of Tin Man. It would have been interesting, maybe, to have him change to more human? Regardless, it was an excellent job. Most of them did a great job, even if they didn't mash up all that much.
  17. Mia Hamm is a winner and Mazda is a winner. And their names start with M? I...don't get it either.
  18. I have a feeling that they'll find a way to make them monster-like.
  19. My favorite commercial of late is the Esurance one where Milton is photocopying his face. I giggle every time he says hashbrown. It's pandering and obnoxious, but I can't help it. Also because I love hasbrowns. And the co-workers stonefaced reaction to it.
  20. I appreciated that Pace embraced the scenery chewing villainy of his character, but I agree @Bruinsfan I'm glad we didn't get much of him because it worked in small doses. And that the main group didn't really care about the politics of the peace treaty or war or Kree religion, they just found themselves having to deal with it as best they could. Would it have been interesting to learn more about Nova and Xandar and what have you? Maybe in a different movie. But the background information I got was enough for me. The actor that was jarringly miscast for me was Karen Gillian. I didn't find her menacing at all.
  21. @SeriousPurrs why did I never think of adding cocoa to my coffee!? That sounds amazing!
