Ever is very definitely real! I read some comment somewhere noting that the Chicago restaurants shown were stoked for the season to be released. https://www.ever-restaurant.com And Noma is in Copenhagen so that tracks, but French Laundry is in California and not NY, so is it supposed to be someone other than Thomas Keller and maybe an NYC restaurant?

Deontre’s varsity jacket looked like the infamous Gordon Gartrell shirt as crafted by Denise.

90DF Live Chat 3: I Gave Up Everything To Be Here

I think that in Virginia, you can play up your "Southren-ness" as much as you want. Ex looks like he still flies the Confederate Flag off his pick up truck. Yep - I live in Richmond (an hour east of Charlottesville) and Central Virginia is a very mixed bag in this regard. -
S05.E17: Tell All Part 2
RoadFullOfPromise replied to greekmom's topic in 90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days
I think Ella actually got off pretty easy in her segment (and frankly, I have the same doubts as Jasmine re: the alleged cheating). I would have torn into her with a quickness for her COVID-SCHMOVID WHY WON’T YOU TRAVEL TO MEET ME?!?! Every time she whined about that during the season I wanted to throw something at the tv. Johnny has a young child and aging parents, and given that he seems to be the sole source of income for his family, he had even more at stake in terms of both potentially getting COVID and having a ton of quarantine time on either end of the travel. China did not play around, and just because Idaho (and too many other states, honestly) couldn’t be bothered to think it is a serious issue, don’t take it out on Johnny. The immaturity of her I DESERVE LOVE AND THAT IS ALL THAT MATTERS was staggering, and she has a hell of a lot of growing up to do. I’m also not convinced she’s not a Covid denier (given that she never acknowledged his concerns) and she can miss me with that crap. -

I agree completely - she loved the idea of Nanceford (or really, the idea of a relationship) more than she actually loved him romantically. I was really hoping she would pull a Kelly Taylor “I choose me,” and while I am not totally stoked that she chose Lawrence in the end, it at least made sense that they were both different from where they’d been right after Jah was born. -

I would watch entire series of Kelli and Ahmal antagonizing each other. I love it. -

Well, as she noted about Simone’s school, Denver is an overwhelmingly white city, so sadly it’s probably realistic that there were things she couldn’t overcome socially no matter how hard she tried. And she noted that her in-laws were mostly enamored with Simone and were kind of meh about her, so maybe another baby is not only awesome for her and Derek (since they seem to love being parents and are good at it) but for feeling like she belongs more in his family. -
Definitely not that one - it’s near downtown Richmond and is called Historic St. John’s Church. It’s this one: https://www.stjohnshopewell.org Several of their scenes have been in Chester (part of Chesterfield County, the Southern suburb of Richmond), others have been in Petersburg and Hopewell.

I agree with this completely. Ryan sucks in many ways (and stealthing is sexual assault, dude) but he is not a willing participant in this part of things. He has no reason to think this isn’t a legit job (nor that it is in any way connected financially to Stephanie) and there are potentially devastating consequences if the income he earns just goes away. Her financial abuse of him is very hard to watch.

I noticed that too - she could hardly walk in them back down the hallway. I’m not a heels person anyway, but if I were, I’d spend the money on one pair of heels and one pair of flats - done. These are too expensive for what they are (and I get that that’s a scale thing), particularly since these styles were not especially professional looking.

I think it’s worth mentioning that their timeline is totally different from others’ this season (from what I can tell). It sounded like Zied’s only been in the US for a week, if that, so I’d imagine he’s still exhausted and trying to get his bearings.

All I could think watching this last episode was that Mamas Ari & Jihoon ought to get together and cry into their beers about the spoiled children they have raised. Each child has a partner that leaves a lot to be desired, but yikes - these parents enabled their children’s behavior and are really bending over backwards to avoid putting any responsibility on their precious children. -
S02.E08: Rude Awakening
RoadFullOfPromise replied to OnceSane's topic in 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way
A woman who is a dogsledder/author/adventurer/all around awesome human went on Naked and Afraid. She recently did article and podcast talking about the process, and she said that her plan from the start had been to sing Hey Jude at the top of her lungs if she ever got diarrhea, for just this reason. Extra smart bc Beatles rights are wildly expensive and I think also tough to acquire! -

I think in the first episode, Kenny said he was selling his house and that was a big source of the money he would take to Mexico. From what we’ve seen, it sounds like he is in it for the long haul, particularly since he drove and had that car fully packed. And I’m glad someone else pointed out that them moving to Florida is likely not really possible because of US immigration. Not only is there a backlog as noted above, but the feeling of the current administration towards Mexican people is not exactly welcoming. -

Shouldn’t she have been wearing a mask at the dealership? Given not only that places in Connecticut require them (so I’d imagine Porsche of Fairfield is no different) but also BECAUSE ILLNESS?! -

While it definitely sounds like the TLC fraudery is high-level with these two, I just can’t get past how he talked to her in the car while they were driving from UT to CA. Never mind that they were both using pretty dreadful language in front of the kids (esp the 2yo, who I guarantee understands a lot of the language and tone), but the “lying bitch” was dreadful. I don’t know, man. -

I think she looked gorgeous in her first wedding and I don't know why she can't wear the same dress in the second wedding, unless she ruined it in the sand n' sea photo shoot. I think I remember her saying it wasn't her "dream dress" and that's why she wanted a new one? To be fair (and believe me, I don’t want to extend much benefit of the doubt to either of these two), she has had a baby since the first wedding, so this dress may just not be an option. Not that I am having another wedding after recently celebrating anniversary #9, but I’m pretty sure my dress would be off the table at this point, and our kid just turned 5. (C-section scars/resultant pooches are ROUGH, y’all) -

I...do not see that happening. -

Ed and Rosemarie: The Long and the Short of It
RoadFullOfPromise replied to OnceSane's topic in The Couples (Spoilers)
She has no class? Seriously? This woman was told that her home, town, country, etc. were dirty and gross. She was told that she was gross as well, and each time, it was followed up with an extremely manipulative, “Do you still love me?” whined in her face. He is a sex tourist, and he certainly does not treat her like, in his words, “My Queen.” (which is gross phrasing anyway) If you’re going to shade her for not loving him, you’d best shade him for same. It is a transactional relationship, and since he didn’t tell her from the jump that he had no interest in having children, he went into it under false pretenses. I agree 100%. He reached out to the guys who do the 90 Day Gays podcast to try to send them stickers, etc. They were not having it. I think they said it’s the first time any cast member has contacted them at all; one of them did have a cameo from Darce, but I think someone else bought it for him. I think? -
Ed and Rosemarie: The Long and the Short of It
RoadFullOfPromise replied to OnceSane's topic in The Couples (Spoilers)
He is a straight-up sex tourist who treats her like she is his property and I absolutely cannot with him. He is more offensive than almost any other 90DF person I’ve ever seen, primarily because of the massive imbalance of power and how he uses it to his advantage. It is absolutely awful to watch their segments because of how dreadfully he treats her and how much he intentionally embarrasses her on camera. -
SAME! I think the whole idea of reveal parties is abjectly terrible and I truly do not get the point (though we waited until our kid was born to find out anyway, so what the hell do I know!) but whenever I hear the phrase “gender reveal” I always pointedly say “SEX reveal.” It is a hill I will die on, and I am not ashamed to admit it.

S04.E02: Penny Pinching
RoadFullOfPromise replied to ShortyMac's topic in One Day At A Time (2017) [V]
Given that Norman Lear also produces this reboot, he has given it his blessing, so it is One Day at a Time. And I’m glad it is because it’s awesome. -
Eh...yes and no. When I had our daughter, I knew I was headed back to work not only for financial reasons (which are definitely legit) but also because I don’t want Little RoadFull’s Mom to be my only identity. I like my job, and I’m good at it. I work at a medical school attached to a teaching hospital, and Little RoadFull (age 4.5) goes to the child care center there. We are one of a handful of families without a clinical parent (I work in administration), and a bunch of the parents there are badass female doctors, and it is AWESOME. I am a full-time mom (hell yeah for saying that, Amy!!) and I love Little RoadFull to bits! Glenn and Jerusha would’ve had five passive-aggressive, self-righteous heart attacks with my kid, who was born via c-section, formula-fed, and attends daycare - it’s the triumvirate of mom-shame characteristics, and I am HERE FOR IT!
