  1. I have to admit that Max wearing that Feminist t-shirt is HOT. No Max, leave the t-shirt ON... ;)
  2. I feel just the opposite. The catfish situations are obviously fake/scripted. I watch this show more for Nev and Max than the spurious, set-up stories. They provide some level of entertainment, for sure, but I think Nev's wife and baby are adorable, and I would watch the heck out of show about the guys and their personal lives.
  3. I love Adam and would hate it if he and Bonnie broke up.
  4. I liked him a lot on his own show (one of my all-time favorite sitcoms) but he could be too goofy and/or annoying in other roles.
  5. I have to say I don't really agree with this. Every woman has the right to have the wedding they want, within reason, of course. Mykelti wanting things her way does not necessarily mean that she was jealous of Maddie's wedding (which was nice but not the be-all, end-all of weddings, by any stretch) or that she is trying to outdo her. She fell in love with the venue, but she is making concessions to Tony, who they have jokingly referred to as the "bridezilla" of the two. He has a lot of ideas about what he wants. And I think the huge guest list is more him than her. It sounds like he wants to invite his entire extended family and lots of friends.
  6. Never been a big fan of pinatas in general, but who am I to denigrate another culture's traditions? But yeah, I've never had a pinata at a party I've thrown, or one thrown for me, and I would never even have considered having any at my wedding.
  7. Exactly, or at least convince Mykelti that she's ok with things. I feel bad for her, because what choice does she have? She expressed concern when Mykelti first told her, and people felt sorry for Mykelti and raked Christine over the coals for not being thrilled and supportive right out of the gate. Now she's trying to be ok with everything (albeit in an over-the-top way) and she's getting criticism for that. She doesn't want to lose Mykelti or have a strained relationship with her, the way Meri does with Mariah. Rock and a hard place.
  8. Having done a lot of research looking for bnbs/inns for my honeymoon and possible vacations, I can say that Meri's website is not near the worst one I've seen. Granted, I've seen much better as well, but many of them were for bigger bnbs or inns with more rooms and dedicated staff. I think the place is lovely and the rooms look very nice. Again, I've seen worse online for sure. I think one of the biggest problems she has is that there is not much to do around town. Some people may not mind driving an hour or more away for attractions, but when I vacation, I'd prefer to park my car and not have to use it again until checkout. Things to do/see within walking distance are a huge plus for me.
  9. The way to avoid looking orange and wrinkled (and skin cancer) is to avoid tanning and use SPF religiously. I'm betting that's what Robin does. I was made fun of for years because of my paleness, but I'm now over 50 and look at least 10 years younger (based on what other people tell me! :D). So, Robyn's pale trumps Meri's orange and Christine's wrinkles all day.
  10. No argument here; it's probably the most consistently funny of the shows I watch right now. Will & Grace would be a close second (loving the reboot!). I'm glad that Allison Janney is getting the recognition that she so richly deserves, but I'd love to see some of the other cast getting accolades - Jaime Pressly and Mimi Kennedy have given Emmy-worthy performances, IMO, and Ana Faris is well underappreciated.
  11. Wish I could agree, but I found her almost as boring as Zanna. She also needs to stand up straight, especially if she is going to wear shoes as fierce as the ones she had on.
  12. You're right, it must be a personal choice. When I was looking for counter height stools for our kitchen and a pub set for our den, I specifically searched for padded seats. The dining set I have now was given to us and it came with upholstered chairs, but the one we had before had hard seats and I bought cushions for them. Just my preference I guess, lol.
  13. I beg to differ, I thought Alyssa looked great on the runway - love the coral dress with blue shoes, and really loved her hair. Also, Marchesa makes some stunning gowns. Agree though that the fall collection deserved the win and Ari's dress from the spring collection was lovely. My two favorite looks from the winners were Kelly's and Candace's. And I love a platform shoe, and those yellow ones Kelly and Kimberly used had me swooning!
  14. Hard 10 and soft 7 was a riot! I'd give them a hard 9 and 8, respectively.
  15. They kept saying she loved retro, so it was either her furniture or Joanna staged it to her taste. Overall, the house was definitely different from Joanna's usual, but there were touches that evoked her style while still staying within the retro vibe. It was interesting to see something different. I have to wonder though, what do the designers on these reno shows have against seats with cushions? The dining room chairs and counter stools are rarely padded - all I can think is how uncomfortable they must be.
  16. I really enjoyed this episode. Not too convoluted, with a little twist, and a cute ending. I like the idea of Torres and Bishop. And Jack was ok, and looked great in her date night clothes. Her character still seems superfluous, but I don't actively loathe her, so that's something. That this show can still entertain me in its fifteenth (!) season...I can't ask for more than that.
  17. Absolutely. It kind of amazes me when people complain "Why didn't the parents start a college fund?" - um, because they have to pay the rent/mortgage, household bills, put food on the table, clothe their children, etc etc etc - and yes, maybe occasionally go to a movie or out to dinner. Even those of us living paycheck to paycheck deserve a little "matinee and early-bird special" fun once in a while. And with a disabled child, my guess is the DiMeos had precious few of those nights.
  18. Lol, my husband calls them the Ben Wa balls of death!
  19. I think the title of the episode ("Head First") says it all! I totally agree with you, one would think that oral would not be so unusual or rare in a healthy sex life, but surprisingly, there are still women (and yes, even some men) who balk at the idea. I have a couple of female friends who straight up say they won't do it. It kind of boggles my mind.
  20. Chale is actually my favorite character on the show now. I enjoy the scenes at the restaurant and home much more than the scenes at the security company. Which is sad, because initially I loved the idea of the security company and the idea of bringing on Rutger as an employee. "Plus One is the Loneliest Number" was the best episode so far this season, and showed real promise that the series was heading in the right direction. Unfortunately, the writing just hasn't been there since that episode. I'm very close to removing this from my DVR.
  21. Not that fake - my father used to drive my mother crazy because he would do the same thing, turn his head around to talk to the people in the back seat while driving - nearly gave her a heart attack several times!
  22. I think she legit went down there to get Marjorie some tea, then maybe tried to spy a bit, then she definitely got lost trying to get out. So, a little of everything!
  23. Hospitals are the worst, every turn looks the same as the last - why are they designed like that? I was watching with my sister and we both cracked up over the realness of that scene.
  24. DITTO. From George and Mary's afterglow conversation to Jim Parson's final voiceover, this was a pretty perfect episode from stem to stern. The show is definitely getting me in the feels. It's the yin to the Big Bang Theory's yang. Kudos to Jim Parsons and everyone involved. Despite being a huge fan of Sheldon and the flagship, when I first heard the plans for this all I could think was how wrong this could go. But they've really pulled it off.
  25. I think it was genius to discard that awful finale. It gave me back one of my favorite shows. As for the subject of character growth, I've made this point before - how much growth do people really NEED to do once they have become adults, established in their livelihood, settled into a home, etc? My personality has not changed so drastically in the past 15-20 years. I am who I am. If one has some obvious flaws, yes it's great if they continue to mature - and I think some of them have, especially Jack. His edges have been softened, and he is not near as snarky as he used to be, while retaining his wit (and Sean Hayes' perfect comic timing). Will and Karen have been delightfully consistent and had some great moments, especially Will's dressing down of that young stud about the history of gay America. Karen's emotional turn when Rosario died was tear-inducing. Grace has been harder to pin down. One could make the argument that Debra Messing's subdued performance is an attempt at showing a maturation of her character. Time will tell if Debra manages to recapture some of Grace's old spark on a more consistent basis. Regardless, I'm enjoying this ride immensely.
