  1. I think the rooms look adorable. There are five reviews online for Victoria's Bed and Breakfast, four five-stars and one four-star. All said that the rooms were lovely and very clean. The most recent review was in September of 2017. The previous owner obviously loved the house and took pride in it.
  2. There is no flirting; I think it's a thinly-veiled way of saying "I've got your number, buddy." She is giving it back to him, and good on her for doing so. Men like that need to be challenged, otherwise they just run right over everyone else's feelings and begin to think they are "entitled" to act the way they act and to get whatever they want. It's a giant-leap comparison, but that's how certain men in the news were able to get away with their disgusting behavior for so long. Not saying that Tony is like these men at all - it's more the attitude, the "It's my way or the highway" mindset.
  3. Wow, my husband and I started watching sometime during season one and we have not seen every episode from that first season - definitely missed that one! In this episode it seemed all the wives were confused and not thrilled that Tony was there, even Robyn, right? Weird. Edited to add: One thing I feel is quite evident is that being on this show and being so public has made all of the women more independent, at least in some ways. It's probably given them a lot of insight into how the non-plig world works, how they are viewed, and helped them find their voices - sort of like a mini-feminist awakening. I definitely feel like today's Robyn, for example, is not the same woman she was when the show first started.
  4. It was said a few times on the show that Mykelti has had boyfriends, but they treated her badly. Tony is probably the first guy to treat her decently, at least in her eyes. I think even Aspyn said that Tony is good to her. I see Tony as having some old-school, "macho" attitudes when it comes to men and women. Men like that are very gentlemanly, but also opinionated and can be overbearing. Some women enjoy that and feed into it. I also see Mykelti has someone who is learning to pick her battles. Marriage is definitely about compromise.
  5. I would totally get up and do that dance, costume and all. While I admit (as did the wives) that the clothes were ill-fitting, they were still hilariously fabulous and I would've rocked the heck out of that whole shebang. Nothing wrong with having a bit of corny fun every once in a while.
  6. To be fair to Meri, there was more to her statement about not going over to help with the other children than just "I'm not doing that". I don't think she meant it in that way. She said she didn't want to overstep her bounds, and that they all raised all the kids in the beginning but that it isn't that way anymore. She also said the kids do come over to her house occasionally, but that the other wives don't need her to help take care of them. It doesn't sound like it's a case of say, Christine asking Meri to watch Truely and Meri just turning her down. Meri feels the other families don't need her anymore.
  7. UGH. I don't have near the distaste for him that many others do, but I'm sorry, Tony did not need to be there. Not his concern not his business how Mykelti wears her hair, or what kind of dress she picks. That is overstepping your bounds, and it has nothing to do with "bad luck". It has to do with it not being your business how the bride chooses to dress. Did I hear someone say CONTROL FREAK?
  8. Eh, they tried something and it didn't work. Characters come and go on sitcoms all the time.
  9. I will not watch this show or any of EM's work because of this. I just can't in good conscience, knowing that Scientology is an oppressive, destructive, fraudulent, greedy and vile cult, led by a psychopath. The irony is palpable and truly depressing.
  10. I was all about Daisy/Deke until he sold her into slavery - as someone else pointed out, I'm not sure how one gets past that. Still, if the show can make it happen and make me believe it, I'm on board.
  11. Lmao! I can relate. Ugh, that brother was the worst - you know someone must be truly heinous when you actually feel sorry for the bad guy.
  12. Wow, I did not know that's how it worked. I really thought they all got paid individually at least a nominal amount per episode, the adults anyway. I also assumed that TLC picked up the tab for most things, like vacations, dinners, etc.
  13. I found the conversation between Robyn and Meri about the bnb very interesting. Robyn was the calm voice of reason, guiding Meri on how to approach things with all of them, telling her not to get too emotional and reminding her how they will initially react, especially Kody. The dynamic in the group is the opposite of what an outsider would expect, isn't it? Meri, being the first wife, should be the Matriarch, the leader and the one who understands the family and their relationships the best. Instead, she seems to have no clue how to deal with her own husband and the other wives, while Robyn has it down pat. Who would've believed way back when that Robyn would be revealed to be the most rational and level-headed member of the family?
  14. This is one of those shows whose cancellation I will always lament. I really enjoyed it - Jane Lynch was a hoot, LOVED Kyle Bornheimer as Brad and the rest of the cast was great as well.
  15. I loved this episode! The cold opening was hilarious, especially Jack's bit. The stuff with Larry was great and everyone was on point - Grace is back!
  16. His character is one of my favorites on the show. Much less annoying than Danny on KoQ.
  17. I liked Erinn Hayes/Donna and enjoyed the first season of the show. I liked that Kevin was a family man, I liked his friends, and it was good that he did not have a permanent job - it gave them lots of options for different storylines. I get what they were/are trying to do this season, but it's just not working. The writing just is not there. They seem to think that all they need to do is have Leah and Kevin constantly argue and zing one-liners at each other and voilà, instant chemistry, instant hit. Nope. The non-stop snarking and ridiculous situations are falling flat. ETA, I've always liked King of Queens and I like and admire Leah Remini, especially for her work exposing Scientology, so in my case, it's not that I have any issues with Leah.
  18. Isn't Billy Sparks supposed to be one of Sheldon's childhood bullies? I feel like we might have seen him being mean to Sheldon in another episode, but my memory is spotty. Looks like they did get along on occasion - maybe the bullying came later? Regardless, I liked him in this episode. He seems more like the type who would get bullied rather than be a perpetrator. I always root for the underdogs and those who get picked on. Perhaps he got mean as a defense mechanism later on.
  19. I always believed that Walt was offbase when it came to Nighthorse. A Martinez was so great in the role and played the part with such conviction that I just knew Nighthorse was speaking the truth. I might have wavered for half a second when he asked to make a deal with Walt when he was in jail, but then again, not really. When Vic said that it was as good as admitting he was guilty, I thought that there must be something else going on. Totally agree, Matthias was one of my favorite characters and I love how his relationship with Walt progressed. Their scenes together were always a pleasure to watch. I loved Zach and Cady as well, and was so glad they brought him back. His return came as a total surprise to me. I was never a big Cady fan, but I really liked where they ended up taking her character. I think it's probable that she doesn't become sheriff, at least not on first try, but maybe running leads to something else, like a councilman position or another type of job serving the public. Loved the title as well, and loved how the line was used in the episode.
  20. Love your take on why the liquor store owner may have been crying! I do not subscribe to the alternate universe stuff. So far I have not seen anything on YS that is that inconsistent with TBBT. Children's memories are often spotty, and they don't always know and/or understand why adults are acting the way they are acting. And even a genius like Sheldon may have skewed memories that fit his personal narrative. Plus, as someone else pointed out, Sheldon is prone to exaggeration when retelling stories or describing scenarios.
  21. I love Jim's voiceovers. I like that they are not constant throughout the episode - they are just enough, and give a good insight into Sheldon's character and his views on a given situation.
  22. OMG that is hilarious, and kind of scary and sad, too, because in reality it isn't that far-fetched!
