Mazel tov

I think it's approximately 20 years. The show starts in the mid-70s and ends in 1957. So it's being filmed "backwards." I love the show and hope I'm still alive when this is released. ETA: I mean being filmed backwards as in the movie is filming the end of the show first since I guess he wants to show the actors actually aging. I'm guessing (hoping) that when it's released it will start with the last-filmed scenes first and the first-filmed scenes last. Like the show. Which I really only love for the music and the ending (beginning of the friendship).

I'm definitely old. I just didn't recognize him. Possibly because I've put him out of my mind... They are bringing the production from London over, so I'm not familiar with either of the actresses - Patsy Ferran is Blanche and Anjana Vasan is Stella. I love the play and this sounds like an interesting take. I just have to get over having to go all the way to Brooklyn from the Upper West Side to see it. 😄

I thought Paul Mescal was delightful (which is good since I did manage to get tickets to see him in Streetcar Named Desire in March - yay!). And I quite enjoyed Shaboozey. The show on the whole didn't do much for me though.

Dundalk, Maryland is making me laugh (I'm a native Baltimoron). The only issue is there's a specific accent native to Dundalk and they didn't even try. And the accent is kinda hilarious, so that's a shame.

The play closed in July. I have no idea what the filming schedule of this show is, but that could have been a factor in the early episodes of this season.

Admittedly, I was asleep through most of it (hey, it comes on at 7am on a Saturday - no way I'm actually awake then), but I did hear a bit of it and thought I'd share. Back In My Day was on fire tonight! I'm so happy Seth is on this week...although now that I think about it (and I try not to think too often), he always does this week because the family is on tomorrow. Yay!

Sure, why not! Never hurts to go back to school and learn new stuff. I dropped out of college after 2 years and when I decided to go back, I seriously considered changing my major, but I really just wanted to get the degree and finish. So I have a very useful degree in Theater, instead of a really useful degree in History... 😄 My bro got his undergraduate degree in English, then went and got a Masters in Urban Planning and Historic Preservation. So do it!!

This! Not even at CVS, the most expensive store in the world (and that's not at all an exaggeration!). That actually made me angry when he said that...like he shops for paper towels himself. And it just went downhill from there.

I was going to say "your boy, James Dolan" because for some reason I thought he owned the Mets at some point. But it looks like he only owns the Knicks and Rangers. And MSG.

His House seat will need a special election. However... a friend has posited that DeSantis will appoint Gaetz to Rubio's Senate seat if he (Rubio) is confirmed as SoS. Which would suck. Gaetz said he won't take his House seat in January and we all know we can trust him 🙄. Also, if he does, the whole ethics thing is back on the table. Yes

He was really fun...up until he gave us his take on what the Dems need to do and why. I was so glad Seth pushed back on him- gently, but still pushed.
