Mr. ebk says if you want to go to a strip club, go to a strip club (I agree with that sentiment). Sometimes, the food there is quite good, although I have no firsthand experience to confirm. Hooters, OTOH, is just exploitative.

Another Wait, Wait alum, Negin Farsad, was on last season and I'd never seen her before either. Not that I couldn't look any of them up, but this is more fun.

I thought this was an exceptionally funny show. I loved that Michael kept asking Lawler the question that he was refusing to answer (and wish that the actual journalists would do that). The heckling from the audience was great. I really enjoyed Joyelle Nicole Johnson (and I love seeing what the people who are on Wait, Wait look like!). I like that they've pretty much admitted this isn't a game show and don't do point anymore. This one worked really well for me.

She's on BlueSky now. Love her! They just declared bankruptcy. My stance on Hooters is that if I were dying of hunger and the only place to eat was Hooters, I'd just go ahead and die.

Thank you for answering this so well (so I don't get banned... 😉 )

I inherited my sister's FB and Twitter accounts when she died. I can't actually use the FB account because it would freak out her friends...and, I've come to discover that FB is useless and boring. So after her birthday next week, I'll save any lovely messages that come her way, then delete the account. Because FB is stupid. But in the meantime, I've bookmarked the rat erotica site and will change the settings on the account. Because - FUCK IT!!! Twitter was better because I could change the screen name, but then...it was ruined. So I signed up on BlueSky and I pretty much like it.

Yeah - she works for him. He's her boss. This particular drug-addled billionaire isn't the boss of anyone in the civil service - no matter what he or his pal thinks. He's just a guy that FIC is paying back for all the money contributed to his campaign. He's nobody. I totally get that your sister has to answer to her boss. We really need to repeal Citizens United.
-
Sure - every company has reviews. But they're not asked for over a weekend by a drug-addled billionaire who is pals with your direct supervisor who doesn't feel like doing his job and asks said drug-addled friend (who doesn't even work at your company) to step in and ask questions that he has no business asking and has no business getting answers to. Otherwise, it's exactly the same.

As long as they don't go back to playing the (far superior) Liza version like they used to do. I took personal offense at that.😉

60 Minutes is doing a profile of John on the show that just started. So quick - set up your DVRs.

That video make me furious. Why was everyone sitting around filming with their phones and not doing anything to help that woman?? Block the aisle... or something. That's outrageous.

I was really happy that Eureka Day extended in NY because if it hadn't, I was going to have to go to the Kennedy Center to see it next month. Well, now I'm reeeeally happy I saw it because the show cancelled the run. Because...reasons. I'd be glad about that, except that 2 of my BILs still work there. We'll see how that goes... Meanwhile, in case I didn't mention this before, next trip is mid-March to see Othello, Streetcar, and Operation Mincemeat. Plus, more food!

Can we stand another (gift link) NYT article about the show? I liked the format here (which also works on your phone) and found the pictures and commentary interesting. Inside Lorne Michael's Archive

Did he announce that before or after he gave a Nazi salute? Fuck him.

Don't care about the vehicle, but love the song...which I was really surprised is sung by Elaine Stritch (and not a Latina singer like I originally thought)!
-
Totally off topic, but this reminds me of a newspaper in a conservative country back in the day who put track star Tyson Gay's name in the paper as Tyson Homosexual. Because...reasons...

Trump expected to take control of the Post Office Gift link to WaPo. I can't express how angry this makes me.

Gadgets: Phones, Tablets, & Whatever Else They Come Up With Next!

I've since gone through one more Dell, which died suddenly after a couple of years. Then I got another Dell which died the first time I booted it up. Fortunately, I got it at Costco and they took it back. I now have a Surface laptop. I like it. -

I have that issue with an older Dell laptop. I ordered a replacement battery (which was hard to find since it's so old). It looked like it was charging, but it didn't. I can only use it while plugged in. Which does not actually address your problem, but reminded me of mine. Good luck!! -
I am anxiously awaiting tickets going on sale here at the end of the month. I just hope they won't cost a million dollars.

I saw Taran as King George in Hamilton on Broadway. He was wonderful.

It wasn't in any way funny. Not in any way.

Perhaps because the concert was on Peacock only, they wanted some music on the network show since many folks don't have Peacock.

@Galileo908and anyone else interested - here's Sir Paul's number, if you still need it.

Here's a gifted NYT link about the woman who does the photography for the bumpers. I thought it was quite interesting. Every "Saturday Night" the Stars Smile for Her
