I realize the topic is, as always, important and frustrating and needs to be highlighted so people know - and then still don't do anything... 😠 But ... this episode was all about Cats! I will always have a (very) soft spot for that horrible show because it built our house. So yay Cats!! I'm still laughing at the PSA and the relatively authentic looking costumes they were wearing at the end.

Still works. A walk-off walk would have worked. They need to throw the entire bleacher section of Dodger Stadium out. People suck. Don't make me start rooting for the Padres, dammit.

Yeah, but any win is exciting at this time of year. Especially at home. And with a walk-off. Of course they're going bonkers.

Well, that was...something. The funniest thing is they have to keep bleeping all the on-field sound out because everyone is cursing. At least that's my theory.

This. I play this cast recording on a loop. I just love it and I'm devastated by his passing. I also saw him in The Wiz, but Ain't Misbehavin' is an experience unto itself. The Tony performance:

I'm all in for 3 games today! So... it didn't rain. The temp was quite comfy. And dinner was spectacular. Really, I love a good pitcher's duel. I just prefer it when my team scores the run.

Hoping for no rain tomorrow - I have dinner reservations at 8pm!

I also loved her dress during the good-nights. Fabulous! I thought the show was pretty good. I think I laughed more than I have recently. Bowen was on fire tonight in everything he did. WU was great. I loved the song/jokes in the monologue. It wasn't perfect, but much better than the end of last season. Great to see everyone here again. Hope you all had a nice summer!

Indeed, but my main complaint was the writing (and, as usual, my writing wasn't so clear...). I'm kinda tired of old, out-of-it, hair-sniffing Joe.

The makeup was the best yet. The characterization... not so much.

When I worked at the theatre, I'd often run into actors while visiting NY and it was "right face, wrong place" for some of them. I was amused.

Living right between Baltimore and DC, my second team was always the Senators. And DC managed to lose 2 Senators teams. Okay, I'm not quite old enough to actually remember when the first team left for Minneapolis, so I don't hate the Twins (unless they beat us this weekend), but I will always hate the Rangers. And then there were the Colts. I'll never root for Indianapolis. Or Denver, for that matter. Blame Elway for that. I love a lifelong, deep Sports Grudge!
